Inspired by Jenny-Jinya's comic, Good Boy.

A dog sat chained to a tree. His head was on his paws, a sad expression on his face. "It's time to go, doggo." Someone said. Someone holding an axe and wearing a black cloak. It was death himself.

The dog stood up immediately. "But my family hasn't come yet!" he said.

Hades sighed. "I don't think they will." He replied. The dog looked up mournfully. A moment passed. "I'm so cold." He whined. Hades took off his cloak and tucked the dog comfortably into it.

He smiled. "We can wait for five more minutes."

No one came.

"Am I bad dog?"

"No. You loved the wrong people."

"We really have to go now." Hades told the dog, as he patted its soft fur. "Come on, think of the perks. You'll never be cold. Forgotten. Left behind, ever again. It's OK"

And slowly, the dog got up and walked mournfully towards The Lord of the Underworld. But only a shadow moved.

And they left. Hades looked behind him and saw the dog walking slowly. "Hey, dog. You know, I know one person who would love you."

He looked up. "Who can love me anymore? I am dead. I can't bring happiness to anyone anymore"

Hades smiled genuinely. "You can bring happiness to me and my wife." With one flick of his hand, the dog went from a golden retriever to a Molossian Hound. A three headed one, to be exact.

"And now you have a few friends as well." Hades smiled.

Thus, Cerberus was born.
