"Hey, hey, look at these!" Second eagerly called, looking at some chocolates in a display case.
"Um, what about them?" Fourth asked. To her they where just candy, really, she never understood peoples obsession with them, no matter how decorated they where.
"Don't act like that. Look at how cute they are!" Second teased. Most of them were heart shaped, with fancy patterns on them, or in the shape of roses with delicate petals that seemed like they would break the moment you'd touch them.
"Well, I guess they are pretty." She nodded as she looked closer. "Alright, which ones do you want?"
"Do you two ladies need to be helped?" A woman behind the counter asked, seeing they where both looking at the displays.
"Oh yeah," Fourth looked up. "Four of the hearts."
"As dark chocolate." Second added in.
"As dark chocolate."
"Anything else?" The lady asked.
"And two of the flowers please."
Second saw some chocolates that had green lines crossing over them. "Hey are those mint?" She asked.
"Yes they are." The lady said with a smile. "Everyone who's ever tried them really seemed to enjoy them."
Second looked at Fourth with big eyes, like a puppy begging for something. Fourth sighed and shook her head.
"And four of those too." She added in.
"A very good choice." The lady laughed. She started ringing everything in as Fourth pulled out her wallet to pay. "Will that be all?"
Just as Fourth was about to say yes when Second walked over and put a heart chocolate the size of her hand on the counter. She gave Fourth an innocent smile, and she pushed it at the lady for her to ring it in.
"Yes, that will be all." She said with a sigh.
"Must be getting ready for Valentine,." The lady said, trying to make small talk. "Are these for your two's dates?"
"Um, yeah, you could say that." Fourth said with a shrug as she paid.
"I hope they enjoy them." The lady said, handing her the bag. "Have a nice day!"
"Yeah, you too."
"Hey, hey, can I have one?" Second asked as they started to leave.
Fourth shook her head and started digging though the bag and pulled out one of the mint ones. "I should say no, but you know I can't say no to a cute face like that." She teased.
Second opened her mouth and Fourth slipped it into her mouth. She could feel the lady at the counter staring at them, clearly unsure of how to feel about what she was seeing. That made Fourth smirk, as she quickly leaned in to kiss Second.
Fourth set the chocolate on the kitchen table as Second was on her phone, clearly trying to get a hold of someone, but at the same time trying to keep it a secret.
"Something wrong dear?' Fourth asked, sitting down at the table, pulling out her own phone to pass the time.
"Um, no, just trying to see if something is on the way." Second smiled.
"Something as in?"
"Um, it's a surprise." She said, going to a window that looked over the street.
Fourth followed her, mostly out of curiosity and heard a scouter coming down the street. It stopped in front of the house and Second shooed her away from the window.
"That's the surprise. Now don't look out until I come back up here."
"Do you need help with the door?" Fourth asked.
"No no, I can get it!" She yelled and ran down the stairs to answer the door.
Fourth heard talking and found herself going back to the window, hoping she could get a small idea of what Second was doing. Sadly the people on the scouter where right under the window where she couldn't see them, and she couldn't quiet make out what was being said.
She heard the door shut, and then the one that lead to the stairs, and heard Second make her way back up. She got the door for her and Second put a box on the table and turned to her with a big smile.
"Surprise my dear!" She said as Fourth got a closer look of what was in the box.
Inside the box was a piece of what she guessed was red velvet cake, a coffee drink, a large cut sun flower, chocolate strawberries and a little note.
"Aw, how cute." Fourth said, she really didn't know what to say, she was at a loss for words, she loved it, but she didn't really know how to, say it. She pulled Second close and gave her a big hug while kissing her on the cheek.
She hugged her back, still with a big smile on her face. "You like it?"
"Of course I do. It's a very sweet gift." Fourth said, picking up the flower. It was a sunflower, a different change from the roses usually given on Valentines, but it was a flower she associated with Second, and it made her happy.
She set the flower down and pulled out the cake. It was a single slice, but she knew that was just enough. She took the first forkful of it and smiled.
"Is it good?" Second asked. Fourth didn't answer, she just took another fork full and put it in front of Second's face, who willingly ate it.
They traded it off, while Fourth found herself reading the note that Second had left her.
"Hey dear?" She seemed slightly confused. "It's a sweet note, but why does it say pokemon at the end?"
"What what?" Second grabbed it and looked it over, and started turning pink. "I Think something got messed up when I sent a message to this place. I'm sorry." She said, clearly embarrassed.
Fourth laughed. "It's fine dear, it's just funny that such a thing got added to it." She got up and kissed Second's cheek again. "It's all very lovely dear. Thank you."
"Happy Valentines Day." Second said, hugging her again.
"Happy Valentines to you too dear, and hopefully many more after this." Fourth said, ending it with a deep kiss on her lips.
Crack, this is based off my Valentines last year, well the last part, where I visited my wife in mexico. Yes, she had a nice little letter written up for me and for some reason it said pokemon on it, but it's a funny memory so I don't care
