Hey everyone, Autumn-chan here! I would like to apologize to anyone who is reading my other Fairy Tail fanfic. I'm halfway done writing it but I seem to have contracted a bad case of writers block and I can't seem to get any inspiration to finish the third chapter. After I started this fic, my brain has really only been focusing on it. I do plan on continuing my other fic so if any of you are reading both don't worry, I'm not giving up on it, i will just be putting it on semi-haitus until I find inspiration. In regards to The Short Sword Sisters, I will be putting my main focus on this fic so I will be posting more often! Don't forget to R&R!

TheGoldenDragonofFiore: No this will not be a NaLu story, I'm a bit of a NaLi shipper (please don't kill me)! Thanks for the support though! If you would like, I could do a NaLu one-shot for you though, as long as the other readers want one I would be glad to write it!

Guest: Merci pour lire mon histoire!

After Lucy's battle had ended, Wendy watched as two mages from Blue Pegasus and Mermaid Heel fought against each other, frowning slightly as Ren from Blue Pegasus won the battle quickly. Next Wendy watched the battle between Quatro Cerbrus's Warcry and Sabertooths Orga take place, trying to learn as much as she could about the Sabertooth mage. Even though Wendy had seen the Sabers fight before, they were her biggest threat and she wanted to see how much they had improved in a year, and Sabertooth didn't disappoint.

By the end of Orga's battle, Lucy had started watching again, narrowing her eyes as she watched the broken light bulb (read; Sting) say something to his team mate, which cause the green haired giant to turn around and grab the microphone, singing even worse than Gajeel.

Lucy cried out, clamping her hands over her ears, assuming the fetal position while Wendy plugged her ears and yelled at him to stop. Natsu looked like her was about to have a heart attack and when Wendy looked over the railing, she noticed that Rogue just stood there like it wasn't bothering him but if you looked close enough you could see him wincing in pain, while Dumbass screamed at Orga that he didn't mean he wanted him to sing.

After the Dragon Slayer torture session ended, the announcer said that the next battle would be between Lamia Scale and Fairy Tail B. When Jella dressed as Mystogan started to fight Jura, he was doing well but Jura was easily beating him. Fairy Tail watched in awe as he started to cast a spell that summoned a dark cloud like aura t hover above the arena. Just when it looked like Fairy Tail was going to get another win, the spell was stopped and Jella had fallen to the ground with laughter. All the occupants of the stadium watched in shock as Jura was declared the winner, then they started to boo Fairy Tail, laughing at how badly they fought. Jellal walked back with his head hung low and Wendy felt kind of bad for him, his match had been going so well.

Lucy, on the other hand, was too excited for her date with Rogue to concern herself too much with how Jellal felt. It's not like she didn't care it's just that she knew that he would be comforted by Erza, Meredy and Ultear. Lucy already knew that they would make him feel better since those three were the most important people to him, and the people the most important to you can always make you feel better, Lucy knew what that felt like because she had Wendy, Cleo and Charle.

Smiling a little, Lucy turned to the Sky Sorceress. "Hey Wen, I'm gonna head out now, do you think you could bring Cleo back for me?" She asked with a smile.

Wendy smirked a little and nodded. "You shouldn't stay out too late though, I don't think I can keep Erza, Natsu and Gray from finding you and taking you back to the inn for long."

"Thanks Sis!" Lucy said as she picked Cleo up and gave her a hug. "I'll be back in a few hours, is there anything you want me to get you while out?" Lucy asked the violet eyed Exceed.

Cleo paused for a moment, thinking then shook her head. "I'm good, be careful okay?" She replied, giving her a hug back, then she squirmed out of the blonds arms and hopped over to Charle, starting a conversation about buying new outfits.

Lucy smiled at the two felines and looked back to Wendy. "See ya later!" She said giving her a wave and teleporting to the colossal statues head.

Once Lucy exited her teleport, a wave of nervousness washed over her. She had been really excited all day but now that it was actually the moment of truth, Lucy couldn't help but fret. What if Rogue didn't want to talk to her after tonight... What if it was all just a joke?

Even though Lucy knew full well that Rogue would never do something like that, a small part of her can't help but start thinking of the worst things that could possibly happen. The butterflies in Lucy's stomach were so overwhelming that she couldn't really call them butterflies anymore, more like a bunch of hummingbirds.

Unfortunately for Lucy, the object of her worry had all but walked in front of her and waved his hand in front of her face, but, the blonde was too busy with her inner monologue to notice him until he flicked her forehead.

"Earthland to Lucy." The raven haired mage stated, his amusement with the situation barely entering his dull voice.

Lucy blinked for a moment the turned as red as Erza's hair. "S-sorry!" She stammered, looking down at her feet. "How long have you been here?"

Rolling his eyes, Rogue answered her question. "Theirs no need to apologize, I only just got here. Don't worry about it."

Smiling, the female slayer looked up. "So... What have you planned for this evening?"

"Well, I found a nice place to sit at one of the parks near here so I thought we could grab some sandwiches and eat there." Rogue said, slightly nervous as well. "I know it's not much," He continued. "I'm not good at this kind of stuff though so do you think you could bear with me?"

Lucy giggled and nodded. "I think that would be lovely." She said as she grabbed his hand.
A small smile graced Rogue's features as the blonde held his hand, he squeezed her hand back, almost as a thank you.

Then suddenly, before Rogue could say anything, the air around him went cold and he felt as if he had been pulled inside a vacuum for a moment. Blinking he readjusted to his surroundings and realized that he and Lucy were no longer on top of the statue, but rather at the base of the stairs that lead to the stadium.

"I don't think I will ever get used to that..." The shadow mage mumbled as he though about the previous times he had been teleported by Lucy.

The blond gave a small smile, she always loved his reactions to her teleporting because, other than Wendy, he was the only person who didn't completely freak out after. "At least you can handle teleportation." She replied, voicing her thoughts. "Wendy got used to it, you will too."

Rogue nodded. "Shadow traveling probably contributes to my ability to not pass out after." He stated. "It's still rather amusing to think about Stings reaction after you teleported him the first time. He looked like he was about to melt." Rogue finished with a smile.

Lucy giggled quietly. "It was pretty funny... 'Blondie... Never again... That's not natural.'" Lucy said, mimicking the light mage.

"He went on about that for quite a while after I'll have you know, I couldn't get him to shut up." Rogue said with a chuckle.

Smiling, the two mages continued their conversation as they walked through Crocus, stopping at a small café to grab food. As Rogue and Lucy resumed their walking, they talked about all manners of things, from the latest books they had read to predictions for the next days activities. They kept up healthy conversation the entire walk, pausing here and there to admire the scenery. As they walked, Rogue tried to think about why he felt so comfortable around the Universal Dragon slayer, but, each time he came up without a proper reason and just decided to enjoy the time he had with her.

Once they finally reached the park, Rogue turned to notify Lucy that this indeed was the proper park, seeing as they had already passed a few, but stopped short when he saw the expression on the girls face.

Lucy's eyes had widened in delight when she noticed the park, she had almost stopped walking when she noticed it, and when Rogue stopped at the gates it was like the cherry on top of a perfect day. Lucy looked around, admiring all of the flowers that ranged from vibrant blues to cherry reds. The park was also surrounded by large oak trees that grew higher than the buildings and in the center there was a crystal blue pond with ducks swimming in it, cattails lining the edges. Smiling the blond turned to look at Rogue, who was already looking at her with a smile on his face.

Blushing, Lucy looked away from him. "What?" She questioned quietly.

Rogue shook his head. "Nothing. I'm glad you like the park."

"Thanks for bringing me here... It reminds me of the time I spent with my dragon... She loved places like this." Lucy stated with a sad smile.

Rogue nodded. "Same here. My dragon trained me in a place kind of like this."

Sighing, Lucy looked back at her raven-haired companion, noticing he sported the same nostalgic look she did. Turning her attention back to the trees, the blond mage got a wonderful idea. "Hey Rogue."

"Yes?"

"Do you want to eat in one of the trees?" She asked with a childish smile.

Rogue chuckled and nodded. "Race you to the large bough on that one." He said as he pointed at one of the larger trees with exceptionally large branches, perfect for sitting on. "No magic." He added.

Lucy sighed. "Damn... It would have been a easy win for me."

Rogue smirked. "3... 2... 1... Go!" He said and the two launched into the race. They sprinted as fast as they could and Rogue pulled ahead of Lucy, gaining a few feet on her.

Growling Lucy pushed herself to go faster as they neared the tree, but, with all her efforts, Rogue reached the tree just a half second before her and started to climb. Giggling, the blond hoisted herself up and climbed after him, taking the hand he offered her once he had pulled himself onto the branch and swinging herself up, hanging her legs off it.

The two mages took a moment to catch their breath before speaking again.

"You know," Lucy said. "You're supposed to let the girl win.." she said with a smile.

Chuckling, Rogue sat back and looked at her. "I doubt you'd really want me to do that right?"

Lucy nodded her head. "I guess... Anyways, do you wanna eat now?"

Rogue nodded and reached into the bag, pulling out the sandwiches and tossing one to Lucy. "Eat up."

Lucy smiled and opened it, inhaling the scent from the warm cheese and seasoned meat inside closing her eyes and sighing. "I'm so glad Swiss cheese and roast beef sandwiches were invented."

Rogue smirked and unwrapped sandwich. "You should probably eat it instead of worship it." He said as he took a bite.

Lucy nodded and started to eat hers as well. The two ate their food in silence, watching people walk about the park, ignoring the few who told them to get out of the tree. After they were done, Lucy moved closer to Rogue, closing her eyes and mumbling about taking a nap, much to the flushed shadow mage's distress. After a few moments, Rogue wrapped his arms around Lucy and closed his eyes as well, deciding to enjoy the moment while it lasted.

When Lucy opened her eyes again, she noticed that the sky was just turning orange due to the setting sun. She blinked twice, then bushed the colour of Erza's hair as she remembered that she had decided to take a nap on Rogue. The blond tried to move away, attempting to let Rogue sleep, she could tell because her ears could pick up on his steady heartbeat. Lucy moved forwards a bit more but was stopped when she had to stifle a squeak when she felt something tighten around her waist, pulling her back towards the sleeping shadow mage, taking a second to think, Lucy realised Rogue had wrapped his strong arms around her causing her to blush an even deeper shade of red.

Giving up quickly on getting away from him, Lucy turned to look at him, admiring his peaceful looking sleeping face. Lucy then paused for a moment, making sure Rogue was still asleep before she lifted her head up a little, giving him a quick peck on the cheek. The Universal Dragon Slayer then freed her arm, reaching up and poking him in the cheek. "Hey Sleeping Beauty... It's time to wake up..." She said in a singsong voice.

Rogue frowned in his sleep. "No... Too tired." He mumbled quietly.

Lucy giggled at his antics and poked him again. "Rogie... Get up or I'll push you out of the tree." She sang again, waiting to see his reaction.

The Shadow Slayer opened his eyes slowly, blinking a few times to clear his vision.

"Boo!" The blond joked with a smile.

Rogue blinked again and slowly looked down at her, noticing his arms were still around her he blushed a bit and removed them, mumbling an apology.

Lucy blushed as well. "It's fine... I don't mind.." She mumbled as well.

Saying that earned a smirk from Rogue. "So you don't mind this!" He said as he reached forwards and pulled her onto his lap, keeping an arm around her waist with his blush still very evident.

"Waah!" The blond screeched as she was pulled towards him.

Rogue winced from the scream. "Lucy... Close proximity... Ears..."

Lucy grimaced. "Sorry..." She replied as she leaned back into Rogues chest.

Rogue smiled and held her tighter. After a few moments, Rogue decided to ask that had been nagging at him for a few years. "Hey Lucy, how come you said yes to going on a date with me?"

Lucy scowled and sifted a bit so that she could look at him. "Why not?"

Rogue sighed. "I don't know... I was just wondering why you never avoided me." He stated, recalling all the times people have left him out of fear of his magic.

Lucy rolled her eyes. "If I cared about what magic you used more than what kind of person you are that would make me a terrible human being... I like to think of myself as a pretty good person." She said as she flicked his forehead.

"How did yo-"Rogue started to say.

"I read your mind." Lucy said, cutting him off. "Don't get mad, I just wanted to know exactly what was bothering you."

Rogue frowned and started to pout like a six year old. "Stay out of my head, it's weird having the girl I like read my mind..." He stated as he put his hands on his temples, trying to keep her out of his head."

"That not going to wor- WAIT A SECOND! Did you say the girl you like!?" She yelled turning red.

Rogue's face turned red as well. "N-no! That's not what I said!"

"Liar!' She retorted. "I can read your mind, that's totally what you said!"

"STAY OUT OF MY HEAD!" HE yelled clamping his hand on his head again.

Lucy narrowed her eyes. "NOT UNLESS YOU TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAID AGAIN!"

"NO!"

"YES!"
"NO!"

"YES!"

Meanwhile, people who were walking through the park and had the distinct privilege of hearing two seventeen year-olds fight like seven year-olds rolled their eyes and continued walking, a few even yelling at them to shut up.

Back with Lucy and Rogue, Lucy had grabbed onto the collar of his shirt, shaking Rogue and yelling at him to tell her. Suddenly, Lucy's leg slipped off the branch, causing her to lose balance. "Crap."

Lucy slipped off the branch, puling Rogue with her since she was still latched onto his shirt, Lucy screamed and latched onto Rogue as if he were her lifeline as they dropped to the ground. The two hit the ground after a second of falling, landing on their sides.

Rogue groaned and rolled onto his back, looking up at the sky. "Why did you drag me down with you?" He whined.

Lucy winced and rolled to her back as well. "Sorry... I panicked." She muttered.

Rogue sighed and put his arm over his eyes. "Okay."

Lucy sighed and rolled to her stomach, unable to find a comfortable spot to lay. Giving up, the blond sat up and looked at Rogue, smiling with a slight blush on her face. Lucy moved over a bit and snuggled up to Rogue, putting her head putting her head on his chest, closing her eyes and listening to his heartbeat.

"What are you doing?" The raven haired teenager asked quietly.

Lucy sighed and smiled. "Nothing."

Rogue smiled and chuckled. "Hey Lucy, look at the stars."

"Sure.." She said quietly, opening her eyes ad looking up at the sky, immediately noticing the nearest constellation. "Rogue, do you see Aquarius?" She said as she pointed in the general direction of the star.

"No, I don't. What does it look like?"

Lucy smiled and moved so that her head was next to his. She kept watching the sky as she reached for his hand, lifting it up and tracing the constellation.

"That's Aquarius?"

"Yep, that's Aquarius." The blond replied with a smile, turning her head to look at Rogue, blushing as she noticed he was looking at her, and blushing even more at the proximity of their faces.

Lucy blinked and started to moved her head forwards, as did Rogue. Lucy eyes were half lidded, her and Rogues lips almost touching, not caring if anyone saw them because they felt like they were the only people in the world at that moment.

Except they weren't.

"Hey Lucy... Oh hello Cheney-san!" Someone chirped.

Welp... I tried to be an evil person by doing this... Is it working? Do you hate me? I'd be fine with it if you did.

On a more unrelated topic, i just spent three hours scrolling through the Shingeki no Kyojin tag on Tumblr... What am I doing with my life? Is it a bad thing that I've completely memorized AoT Abridged?

Oh what the hell.. It's fun and I just realised I'm off topic...
