Chapter 6

We Have

The Meats!

Three Weeks Later

Three weeks later would see the team and the Ship in the Eki'ri System and in need of something of a break from each other after being in close quarters with one another despite the size of the Waverider. That, and a case of increasing boredom in a few of the members and despite it taking some valuable time away from their primary mission, Sara had chosen to dock at the Eki'ri Space Port in order to give everyone some time away. Plus, she figured it might help if she was to ask around for any information those on board the station might know of. And being thankful for the fact that J'onn and some DEO Techs like Naomi had come up with some Translation equipment as otherwise, talking with any Alien would've been a hindrance due to the language barrier. Naturally, however, the luck of the Legends would rear its head due to a problem occurring on the Space Port. Not to mention also learning that Outer Space had its own version of Fast Food Burger Joints as well for that matter.

Spooner herself had elected to stay on the Waverider as her senses were basically going haywire thanks to the presence of so many Aliens. An issue Sara and John both would see about helping with as Sara figured some Meditation might help with the girl's sensing abilities. The fact that while on the way to the Eki'ri System, Spooner had learned her abilities weren't because of Alien interference and was something else, hadn't made her too happy. Though there was the theory that perhaps said Alien interference may have helped awaken her sensing abilities and was confirmed to not have the Meta-Gene. "Y'know, I may never eat another Burger again after all this." Remarked Nate after he and the rest of the team had finally dealt with the problem.

Which had involved a Moth like Alien being secretly held on the Port by the wife of a husband, whose Burger Joint was basically failing to be competition on the Port. And when she had discovered the Moth's 'Secret Sauce' had certain special qualities to it, she thought it was a gift from the Heavens that would finally help her husband with his business. Not even caring about the fact that the 'Secret Sauce' had begun to cause a lot of problems on the Port and Behrad would be absolutely horrified by the whole thing. "Probably for the best." Zari told him as she and the others made their way back to the Waverider while others on the Port were doing a clean up.

"I got to set that thing on fire, so that was a win for me." Mick said happily and getting shakes of the head for it.

Granted, Mick had done a few other things while on the Port as he'd seen an opportunity to take advantage of all the chaos. Ensuring that the Legends would be well funded on this trip in the event it was needed since the currency on the Port was used elsewhere as well and could be exchanged on planets with an advanced enough system for that kind of thing. "Well, you'll be guaranteed even more 'fun' once we finally get to Necria." Sara assured him as they all began to board the Waverider.

"Is this typically how things go for you guys? Because you're all being kind of too casual about it." Questioned Naomi curiously and essentially being the spokesperson of the DEO crew.

The answers she and the other 9 helped confirm that yes, yes it is typically how things go. "Well, that's reassuring." One of the other 9 muttered.

Allowing for a few chuckles to be heard afterwards.

Author's Notes: Gotta love that casual attitude!
