Chapter 9

Brother, Brother

Disclaimer: We're nearing the end game folks.

After twenty minutes of arguing between Kayla and the Crew, albeit Mick was silent thanks to how smitten he was with the Woman, an agreement had finally been worked out to where she would accompany them on the Waverider and not in a separate Ship. She'd lead them to a neighboring Star System that only had one Planet on it that Bishop was known to use as a Base of Operations. Now the thing about Bishop is that he'd always been a cruel Necrian since the day he'd come out of his Egg and explored different fields as he grew to increase his cruelty. Which had been a reason Gary had volunteered for the Infiltration Mission to Earth so that he could get away from his Brother and ultimately faked his death there. For those on Earth were more his People than what his own ever were. But with Bishop's cruelty also came a sense of paranoia and as the Waverider grew close to the Planet he's on, they got a taste of that paranoia thanks to a fleet of ships giving them Hell. "I think this might be a good time to make use of that Knoxicrillion guy!" Yelled out Astra over the commotion.

"I'll get a message out to him!" Shouted Zari and quickly got to work on that as Sara flew all over the place and fired back and taking out some of the attackers.

"Ava, take a team down there using the Portal Tech while we handle this up here!" Ordered Sara and although reluctant, Ava did as told.

But not before sharing a kiss with her Fiance. "I don't know who you are but I highly suggest you leave now while you still can!" Came a male voice.

"You Bishop? Or some Lackey of his?"

"I am Bishop and a curious Bishop at that as to how you know who I am?"

"We've heard a lot about you since you took Gary and a few of our other friends from Earth."

"Is that right? You came all the way out here because of my Brother and those Humans? Whom are only alive and working in my Mines because that weak willed fool of a Brother of mine spoke on their behalf so I wouldn't kill or eat them!? Well then, you're welcome to try and get them back but I highly doubt you'll succeed!" Cruelly laughed the Necrian and Sara's eyes narrowed.

"We've defied the odds before and we'll do so now!"

And as if to prove her point, Lord Knoxicrillion and his Fleet showed up and quickly joined the battle. "See what I mean?" She asked with a smirk.

Snarling could be heard over the line as the battle raged on and it'd be then that Bishop realized he had a secondary problem on his hands. Namely that a Rebellion was now being raged in his Mines as the Prisoners began to fight back against his Security Forces thanks to an unknown group helping the Prisoners escape. "Knoxy, keep taking the fight to these guys while we head down to the Planet!" Zari told her Servant of sorts.

"Your Will is mine to Obey!"

Nodding in approval, Sara aimed the Waverider for the Planet and she and those on the Ship were soon joining on the fight in the Mines while making their way to where Bishop was likely to be. Though they'd get lucky when Bishop himself would show up and looking quite angry while dragging a badly beaten up and chained Gary with him. "You will stop this now!" He ordered angrily.

"Sorry, Bishy, not gonna happen."

"The Human's right, Bishop." Kayla told him as she came up to the group and looking like she'd been in quite the fight as well.

Causing him to snarl at her. "You would dare side with them over me!? Your true Mate and not my fool of a Brother!?"

Crossing her arms and cocking an eyebrow at him, Kayla spoke. "Considering I've never given a damn about you or the whole 'True Mates' s**t? Yes, yes I would side with them over you. Besides, beating the s**t out of Gary is MY right. Not yours."

"Damn, I think I'm in love." Muttered Mick from near Sara.

Who would have shaken her head if the timing was better as Bishop continued to grow more and more unhappy. "How about this, you and I fight and if I win, this whole thing is over with and you never, EVER, go near Gary again." Declared Sara.

"And should I win?"

"We'll cross that bridge if and when we get there."

"Very well then!" And with that, Bishop launched himself at her, not even bothering to turn back into his true appearance as he did so.

Utterly confident he would be the victor and finding himself impressed by this Female and her Skills. "Should I win, I will claim you as Mine! Our Union will give rise to powerful Children!"

"Sorry, but I'm already taken." Sara told him as she slammed into his mid-section with a kick.

Sending him stumbling back and unable to keep himself from smirking. "That can easily be changed, my Love."

"Not in this Lifetime."

For her and Ava were each other's Final Girl and that's how it was gonna be long after they were old and gray! The fight would prove to be something of a challenge for Sara due to not necessarily knowing of how skilled Bishop was and figuring his being an Alien gave him an advantage over a Human. Not that she was going to let this be an issue for her as others showed up and watched the fight take place. Eventually, she got the Necrian into a chokehold and firmly kept him that way as he struggled to try and get free. Shouts of encouragement were heard to kill him and seeing how terrible a lot of the Prisoners/Slaves looked in Sara's view, she would end up making a decision. "I won't do it." Began the Canary.

Making for a lot of angry remarks to occur. "I won't do it but that doesn't mean you guys can't." Added the good Captain after having to raise her voice and then dropping Bishop to the ground.

"Have at it." She ordered his former Prisoners/Slaves and not needing to be told twice, they did.

Even as he tried to get them to stop but no one would listen to him. Ensuring his end had finally come. "Not how we'd do it but it works." Remarked Kayla seconds after the crowd, minus Zed, Chas, and the Texan Natives, had taken Bishop's life and they all celebrated being free from such a Monster.

Mick looked towards Kayla with a gleam of interest and appreciation in his eyes. "I am definitely in love."

His words made her look at him with a roll of the eyes. "Keep dreaming, pal."

"Oh, I will." Replied the man with a dirty smirk on his lips.
