They have some free days ahead, Shirou spends this time "freeloading" at Burk house, fixing all equipment and appliances there, Burk uses the opportunity to get cheap and useful broken tech on the city and bring it home. That plus many, many spare parts, and get Shirou to fix secretly on the garage, as they stock and fill the transport ship, that include modifying a voidsuit for Shirou use, since he is still a little kid.

Void Suits for his size aren't common, he gets surprised with the rare "squat" suit that Burk gets for him, he hears about the "squats", the "dwarf" humans. During this time, Shirou slowly recovered his health, gained weight and became a healthy little kid, thanks to Mara´s food, his daily exercises and Avalon´s smooth help.

The day of the travel arrive, almost a month later, Shirou received a small contact from Rin every day, but only updates on her travel preparations, she told him she was gathering information, so he should not get into big fights, to not mess history too bad, yet, and Burk started to bring electricians, plumbers, mechanics, the few rare technicians that know a little that could be useful on a ship, he brought too some medics and nurses, besides that, several mercenary troops, Shirou seemed surprised with how many people willing to leave to the dangers of space were available so fast, he then sit on his chair and lock the safety belt, he get too a vomit bag ready.

"I used a lot of old favors and spent some big money, but there is, they are ours for 6 months, 1 thousand men, less than 10% of the crew the current ships usually use, but enough for a minimum operation of the ancient ships, if we recover all archeotech inside, still divided if we should risk the I.A, they served us for thousands of years, but freaked out, if you could make it work with factory standards and stop it from update into the "human killer traitors", would be nice, the machines were kinda useful before go rogue." Say Burk

"I can try, not good messing with software through, i can make the machine work like leaving factory, by access its history, but prevent it from evolve and become the traitor machines, that would require some meddling, someone good with computers would help, if their operation system is intuitive and have the options that allow to configure the A.I even better. But even without the A.I, the operation system and the normal automated systems of your ship might be something, i mean, you had full I.A operation right? Imagine how good the thing was before that..." Shirou says, pondering.

"If we get successful and have something of value there to sell, the deal is that the workers get a cut of it, the plan is simple, fix the ships see what they have something that can be traded, fill it with my farm grains and whatever products we have for sale, they will get a cut of it too. If they want to sell their stuff on other worlds, the space used for their own products will be deducted from their cut of mine, at a reasonable rate. " Says Burk.

"So, you paid them for 6 months, and besides that... It will be a cut of the profits? Seems fair" Shirou nods to Burk explanation, that should help the morale, know that they have a fair cut of the profits.

"Are you ready? Had visited space before?" Asks Burk

"Never... Or better... Have memories of the moon, but not sure if they count." Shirou cringes, remembering the moon cell, too many weird memories. He imagined if there was a moon cell in this universe.

"You are a weird kid, how the hell did you visit the moon?" Burk squint at Shirou.

"...Long Story, maybe one day i might tell you old man." Shirou waves it, and changes the subject. "How many times have you piloted this thing?"

"Countless hours on the sim... And flew... 3 times..." Burk smirks.

"...Wait wha...?" Shirou gasps.

The ship launches, before the kid can voice his worries with that, and quickly get speed, Shirou eyes almost pop out of the socket with the scare, the old man pilot like a mad man, and has fun with it. Once they are on orbit, Shirou finishes using his vomit bag, and once he looks at the windows for a moment, forget his fear, in awe with the beauty of the space, he sees the stars, then a giant metal disk so massive that it's impossible to ignore.

"...What is...?" Shirou ask

"Orbital plates Kiddo, it was a massive orbital city on the past... We might explore there eventually, it might hold something valuable..." Burk says with a grin.

Shirou then looks at the moon, feeling a chill, something familiar there, he can see the domes, the colonies, in the distance.

"So... Where is the fleet?" Shirou asks

"In the asteroid belt, on the oort cloud" Says Burk

Shirou remember Ort, the ultimate one from Oort cloud, one of the Dead Apostle Ancestors, a being so deadly and powerful no one messed with it, he imagined if that creature existed there, if yes, would be a bad idea mess with it at all, but what were the chances? The magus imagined, remembering all the differences between the universes, is there a moon cell at all?

The trip take a few days, on his free time, Shirou use the circuit remains and damaged circuits beyond repair as " raw material" to fix and improve his normal circuits, is a slow and painful process, but it would slowly stabilize and improve the quality of the circuits he usually activate, his near failure using Rho Aias almost did cost his life after all. He practiced zero G movement too, even if the ships have artificial gravity, they never know if the system is working.

Once they arrive at the location, the view is breathtaking, the massive fleet is impressive, and ominous, the gargantuan 3 main ships, he was told they were 3 battleships and 6 grand cruisers some split in half due to impact with asteroids or malfunctions, witch cut that fleet to the practical roughly 1/2 of the numbers, since only 2 of the Battleships seem to be in one piece, 3 of the cruisers. Several small craft and debris can be seen floating on the place, some seems to be remains of smaller ships, like corvettes and frigates, the ships are close to a group of asteroids.

"Aren those ships compensating for something?" Shirou slips frowning with the massive size of the behemoths, the bigger the ship the harder it will be for him to fix.

They approach the debris, some hit the hull of their ship, it's a Devourer Dropship, loaded almost to the maximum technical limits. The occasional small rock and ship debris impact on the hull mess with the nerves of the crew.

"Alright, I will send the remote command to open the hangar, and they can see the landing strip lights. The landing is rough, but decent. A force field seems to prevent atmosphere from leak, once the ship lands, the hangar door closes, and the devourer ship main entrance open, forming a ramp where the vehicles with the cargo start to leave, surrounded by the mercenary escort, that form a perimeter, some cargo is moved by the workers manually too, they start to settle on the hangar, as the mercenary leader informs Burk.

"The entire hangar is clear, we found some blood and gunfight marks on the walls though, not sure if it is from before you leave the ship or something we should worry about. What do you have to say about it boss?" Says the tall, bald tanned man, with a scar on the left eye, covered in tattoos, he wears a plate carrier with some armor plate and many pockets, camo pants, boots and a bandana with a skull. He holds what Shirou analisis told him to be a bolter, and has a laspistol and chainsword on his hips.

"All the crew abandoned the ship more than a thousand years ago... There should be no combat signs here, unless... Someone or something got here somehow..." Burk goes into a terminal and starts to fiddle with it, a screen turn on the metal wall as he does it, a black screen with green text, it remember a old MS-DOS prompt screen, suddenly, security footage is shown, from various places on the ship, it shows that something hit the office area of the ship, opening a hole in the hull, it was some worm, what they didn't know, is that was a tyranid boarding worm, that was latching on it, and suddenly disgorged one creature inside, a abomination Shirou can't identify, later it would be classified and described as a Genestealer Patriarch.

They see the creature roaming by the empty ship, and a young man, with a military outfit, with a modern and sci-fi look, the hat and style of it had a "captain" look, Burk eyes pop when he see it, it's his son, he see the young man look at the creature and run, sealing doors on the way, he then try to contact someone on the vox, after that he goes to a stasis chamber, on a giant room filled with them, and throw himself inside, a despair attempt to survive the situation.

It seems to work, the creature go past his stasis pod, by forward the video, they see the eventually a group of what seems to be pirates, or scavengers, enter into the ship, hacking somehow into the hangar, what happens next is not pretty, the creature slowly ambushes the scavengers, one by one, "kissing" them, and throwing the unconscious bodies sealed inside the boarding worm, seemingly doing something that starts to mutate them into things, that seem to currently wander through the ship, it would be a stressful day it seems.
