The Sun glistened brightly over the planet as the wind blew softly through the grassy plains. Trees blew elegantly as the animals roamed across the land, looking for food. Amidst the plains, laid a man and a blade.
As a sheep noticed the man and began to nibble at his hair, the man slowly opened his eyes. Startling the animal, Rai sat up quickly and attempted to get used to his new senses. With the light being at that point of brightness that is just too uncomfortable and a loud ringing in his ears, Rai adjusts as the sounds of words fade throughout his mind.
Once his ability to see and hear properly adjust, Rai looks around and tries to determine what is happening and where he is. He notices the sword lying next to his body and reaches out to touch it
When Rai touches the sword, he can feel something emanate from the blade. As he makes to grab and hold the blade in his hand, a wave of familiarity washes over him and he suddenly feels more confident and safe.
Finding all of this rather odd, he places the sword down and pushes himself off the soft grass to attempt to stand. After a little trial and error, mostly just error, Rai is finally able to stand properly on his feet. He looks around attempting to figure out where he is but, unfortunately, he doesn't recognize his surroundings.
He just can't remember anything before waking up.
Filled with the determination to understand where he is and he got there, Rai confidently attempts to walk away and explore his surroundings. As he hears the sound of scraping metal, Rai turns around in alarm. Rai looks at the sword at it begins vibrating and cutting through the grass and dirt as the sword launches itself at Rai.
Panicking, he puts his right arm out in an attempt to stop the weapon's attack and using his left to shield his face.
Expecting an impact, or worse: a sword through his chest, Rai is surprised to find that the sword stopped moving when it reached his hand. Trying to calm his now noticeable heartbeat, he wraps his fingers around the hilt now in his hands.
As the feeling of serenity washes over him once again, he looks at the sword and questions why it suddenly flew toward him. Rai, deciding to put his theories to the test, puts his left foot forward and throws the sword as far as he can. To his surprise, the sword flies quite far before stopping all momentum, vibrating for a few moments, and then flying back into Rai's hands at immense speeds.
Rai, excited by his new discovery, beings to think that maybe the sword might help him figure out how he got to where he was, considering it was there before he opened his eyes. Accepting that the sword won't leave him, Rai goes to explore his surroundings.
Rai would walk for a while before dusk came. Looking over the horizon, Rai sees the setting of the Sun and, to the other direction, the rise of the moon. Getting lost in the beauty of the switch from day to night, Rai is startled when he starts to hear a groan. Holding up his sword and looking around, Rai suddenly sees that many creatures suddenly appeared across the field and even around him.
Completely terrified by the sheer number of creatures around him, Rai readies his sword in front of him, completely unaware of any fighting technique. Clutching the weapon desperately, Rai feels the familiar waves of serenity from the sword steel his nerves and now, properly analyzing his enemies, he notices that among the creatures amidst him, only some of them had no flesh and were made completely of bones.
He was completely afraid and worried about the intentions of the creatures around him until he notices all of the bones and flesh monsters move away from him. Rai, taking a look around at the others, notices that all of them were similarly walking away from him. Rai, lowering his weapon slightly, starts to think that maybe they were trying to distance themselves from Rai and ignoring him completely.
Doing the only thing he thinks he can do at the moment, he puts his theory to the test and walks towards one of the bone monsters. The creature looks at Rai for a moment before suddenly turning around and walking away, leaving a surprised Rai to come the conclusion that he they weren't threats and that he was safe to continue his journey.
As night turns to day and a new dawn rises from beyond the horizon, Rai finally stops his journey as he comes across a swamp filled with dirty waters, an overgrowth of plant life, and a small slimy green creatures scattered around in small quantities. Walking up to one of the creatures, Rai kneels towards the small slime, looking at it with curiosity as it stares back with its black beady eyes. Rai, reaching a hand out to touch it, is startled when the slime abruptly jumps onto Rai's arm. Looking at the creature that formed into a small cubic blob and settled on his arm, Rai goes to touch it with his other hand, dropping his sword beside him.
The slime felt cold and wet but also smooth and jelly-like. It was almost relaxing. Almost. Rai, wary of the creature, attempts to shake the creature off of his arm; doing so successfully.
Rai, grabbing his sword and getting back on his feet, looks around and finds a tiny isolated piece of land in the swamp, deciding to settle there when he somehow found the urge to punch the nearest tree. After some tree punching and some... gravitational issues, he collected the logs of a few trees and began to follow his instincts. He didn't know how he was doing all of the things he did, as he doesn't even remember anything before waking up, but he decides not to question the fact that he had just created a bunch of things from nothing but the resources at his disposal..
Eventually, he managed to create an area of chests to store things as well as a few furnaces using cobblestone he collected from a nearby cave with a pickaxe, which he also had no idea how he made. After a lot of hard work, Rai began to grow quite famished and, not exactly liking the feeling, he created a small wheat farm from seeds that he got from ripping pieces of grass from the ground.
He didn't understand how he crafted and smelted and created all of his things from practically nothing without actually knowing how to, but he felt like he was doing the right thing after a while of getting used to it.
Rai figured it might be a good idea to somehow document his memories, thinking that he might have lost his memories for a reason, so he crafted a book and began to write. He began to document the experiences, adventures, and surprising occurrences he had gone through to get where he was now.
Content with the progress he has made on his new home, Rai can't shake the feeling of something missing, as if there is something that he's desperately missing...
And as Rai felt his soul practically pulling itself in a certain direction, he realized that he would have to leave his home temporarily to find out what it was that he was being called to..
So, once he packed enough food and supplies, he started his journey in what he thought was the right direction. Many nights and many days passed before he finally saw a pillar of smoke rising into the sky. He ran towards it as fast as he could until eventually, he found a home constructed from logs and cobblestone. Excited to find something new and lacking any sort of mannerisms, he opened the door and walked in.
Taking a look around, the house was quite small but cozy, there were chests on every wall and a ladder that goes into a basement in one of the corners. Even though the house was empty, he felt that what was pulling him was right here... until he felt it move closer. The door opened and then a man walked in, "Hello?" he said.
Rai immediately turned around in surprise, his glowing green eyes locking onto the figure as he said the only thing that would come to his mind, "Hi?" They spoke in the same language as one another.
"Uh… what are you doing in my house?" the man stated.
