Chapter 3: The Fight
Vader stood his ground, as did his two escorts as the ship came to life, the crew appearing seemingly out of everywhere. Through the walls, underneath the floor, above the roof of the room itself even as the captain stood still before the three of them, still smoking his pipe.
"Well...ya gonna answer...or are ye deaf hah?!" He exclaimed
"An abomination like you is not worthy of an answer" Vader responds, in a very characteristic manner as the captain lets out a laugh.
"Hahaha...oh i like you...i very much like ya" He says "But you see Sith Lord, yer trespassing on my ship, and that is something which i will not allow" He says before taking out a sword himself, the rest of his crew getting their weapons ready too.
"So...whether yer afraid of death or not, we're going to find out...kill them!" He gives the order as the crewmates rush towards the three. Vader wastes no time, swinging his lightsaber towards the nearest opponents, cutting them to pieces easily as the two Stormtroopers start firing in all direction, the lasers proving quite effective against the oceanic composition of the crewmates.
However it isn't long before the two of them get overwhelmed, one of them getting his head cracked by a man with the head of a hammerhead shark thrusting his blade right in the middle of the helmet, as it penetrated right through the Stormtrooper's skull, leaving him dead where he was standing. Vader, noticing the fight wasn't going his way decided for a tactical retreat. Not that he couldn't take on a few more of them, however there was a point where the numbers game was just too overwhelming, even for the great Sith Lord. Not helping this was the fact that, all though his lightsaber cut through his opponents like with any others, the sloppy, watery, weedy composition of the crewmates' bodies made cutting through some of them a downright challenging task, and getting his lightsaber stuck inside one of them would leave him at a huge disadvantage in this situation. So he used his force push to throw them away from him, some of them getting slammed in the nearby walls, some of them falling through the holes in the floor as Vader started to run, the few crewmates who weren't affected by the push continuing to chase after him.
Vader had to reach the upper deck at the very least. He was not planning on running away fully, his downright bitter pride wouldn't allow for that, but at the very least at the upper deck he could face them in daylight, where it wasn't so cramped and there weren't as many dark places where his opponents could hide. As he ran he rung up the communicator in his hands, calling up the pilot who was still stationed on the small sandy island.
"Yes Lord Vader" The pilot responded "Send a distress signal to the Imperial base in this system, send requests for entire flying squadrons and the deployment of our submarine war units, there's immense hostile life here" Vader said to him, as it could be heard that he was struggling to breathe and talk while running "Y...yes My Lord, right away" The pilot responded.
It was then the sky turned violently dark again, the clouds blackenning almost as if ordered to, cracks of lightning staring to hit the water and the nearby islands. The pilot scurried to quickly send the distress signal, and he managed to send it just in time before a spark of lightning hit the Tie Fighter dead center, making it explode, shattering it to a million pieces, the pilot turned into nothing but ashes. Hearing the explosion Vader already knew what happened, he just hoped the signal at least managed to make it to the base.
After climbing a few more stairs Vader finally made it to the upper deck of the ship before being met face to face with the octopus - like captain of the ship, a smile from ear to ear on his face "Did my crew make ya tired hah?" He asked with mockingly as the rest of the crew made their way up the stairs as well. Vader clenched his lightsaber, standing his ground once more "Not at all. I just wanted to have a better view of the slaughter that i'm about to cause upon your servants and you, Davy Jones" He said, uttering the captain's name. Jones laughs at the mention of his name "Ohhh...you know my name, i'm touched" Jones said with a cackle "The superstitious legend of the constantly moving water planet ruled by the goddess Calypso with Davy Jones and his ship the Flying Dutchman her humble servants. A very popular story on the desert planet Tatooine " Vader says, looking at him "It's not often i get to kill a myth" Vader said mockingly as Jones pulled out his sword, looking at him with a more serious and focused look this time "You can sure try Sith" He responded just as insultingly to him, the two combatants ready to fight as the crew backs off, giving them space.
Vader wastes no time, lunging himself aggressively towards Jones who blocks his lightsaber lunge with his sword "Hmmm...metal that can handle a lightsaber?" Vader says curiously, holding the lightsaber next to Jones's face "Being a servant of an admittedly ungrateful goddess has it's perks, ha-hagh!" Jones exclaims as he backs Vader off, now it's his turn to take a swing as he does, Vader managing to block the swing as well "Ungh...two choices Sith...either you leave this planet the way you came, or you leave in pieces!" Jones says as Vader force pushes him away, though not as far as he had hoped "I'm willing to take that chance abomination" Vader responds as the two engage in sword to lightsaber combat, the violent thunder serving as the perfect backdrop as two forces collide, Jones's crew watching patiently on the sidelines.
At one point in the duel Vader manages to catch Jones off guard and thrusts the lightsaber right into his chest, right where the heart should be "Aghhh~!" Jones exclaims as he lowers his head, his body becoming wobbly. Just as Vader thinks he has won he hears a chuckle escape Jones's mouth as he raises his head up and looks straight at him "Did those tales ya heard forget to mention something..." Jones laughs as he pulls the lightsaber out of his chest with his pincer hand, Vader managing to catch it back with the force "I'm a heartless wretch Sith, ya can't kill me!" Jones laughs out loud, the storm getting more and more intense, Vader being left with a few options at this point.
Just as Jones's about to take the next swing the sky cracks with the sounds of lasers being fired as multiple Tie Fighters rain down hellfire on the Flying Dutchman, some of the crew getting blown off and razed to ashes, Jones managing to take quick cover behind a wooden pillar. Vader spots one of the Tie Fighters and wastes no time, jumping on it, landing on its roof as it flies off.
"Lord Vader, are you okay sir?" The pilot asks "I am fine pilot, i'm assuming the distress call got through?" He asks "Yes it did My Lord, multiple Tie Fighter squadrons are on their way, submarine units are preparing themselves and we have a few infantry landing brigades ready to clear the small pockets of land should the need arise" The pilot says "Good. Show them no mercy, i want every single member of that ship non existent" Vader says "As you command My Lord" The pilot responded, his Tie Fighter flying out of orbit to leave Vader at a secure location back at the base as multiple Tie Fighters swoop down next to them, the orbital Imperial base of this system clearly preparing for a major confrontation.
"It looks like they're going to war sir" Maccus, the hammerhead and second in command of the Flying Dutchman calls out to Jones as Tie Fighters rain laser fire down on the water, the islands and the ship. This action does not go unpunished though, as a few of them get struck down by lightning, the planet itself starting to drastically turn against the invaders, the waters again getting restless. Jones looks up at the sky in thought, looking at it for a few solid moments "An invasion Calypso. Protect me, so i may protect you" He whispers before turning back to Maccus "Well then, if it's war they want, war they'll get. Get the capstan ready!" He calls out to Maccus, making the hammerhead crack a smile as he gets the crewmen into place.
The crew wastes little time as they start rotating the capstan clockwise, not even needing to be encouraged with a whip or anything, the invading Tie Fighters and drop-submarines attempting to land on their planet being motivation enough. Jones walks past them, standing up on the command deck and starts to shout as the capstan rotates.
"Let no joyful voice be heard! Let no man look up at the sky in hope! And let the sea drown and engulf the invaders as we ready to wake...The Kraken!
