Tanjirou was traveling back towards his village. he always patrols the areas that have the scent of the demon king and most of the time it was to no avail. He was taking the main trail towards his village that he protects and planted wisteria around.
That was until he stopped. A scent catches his nose. That of a certain demon king. He was on the ready, looking up from the ground from what he was looking at from walking. A man with a toothy grin and plump red-slitted eyes was in front of him. He was standing there looking at Tanjirou with a lady looking at Tanjirou as well with a worried and sad look.
There was a silence as the three looked at each other. without a moment's notice, Tanjirou suddenly roots a vine from the ground next to Muzan and grabsld of him surprising than man. Tanjirou leaps towards Muzan and with great succession punches Muzan in the face. Rooting more vines from the ground covered in wisteria which had luckily hindered Muzan when the vines grabbed onto him.
With the immense pressure from the vines, Tanjirou rips apart Muzan leaving him limbless.
Muzan trying to regenerate his limbs couldn't, due to Tanjirou's vines being covered in wisteria where you can barely see the green the vines were. Muzan felt drowsy from the overwhelming scent the wisteria gave off. He felt the need to throw up.
The woman that was next to Muzan could only look in shock and happiness from the sight she had witnessed. She had wanted that man to be dead for centuries ever since he had forcibly made her kill her family. She has found herself cheering out loud as he watched the fight happen and Muzan greatly losing.
Muzan realized his situation a little too late. He was scared for the first time in the 300 years of his immortal life. So he resorted to the cowardly way out.
Muzan pulsated and his body slowly grew in large bubbles. Then he explodes. Tanjirou could only cut so many bits of him, after all, Tanjirou only used claws laced with wisteria to cut the bits.
"No! He had gotten away!" The woman stammers hitting the ground with all of her might. "Damnit, damnit, damnit!" She falls to her knees and covers her face.
Tanjirou walks up to the woman. He kneels and holds out his hand towards the woman. "Aren't you going to kill me? I've worked for that man" Tanjirou looks worryingly towards the woman, he shakes his head no giving her an answer.
"Then why?" Tanjirou then points towards his throat and then makes an x over his mouth. "You can't speak, why don't you just kill me! You can't even explain to me why-" that was until she was knocked out.
"Huh, where am I?" She looks around to notice that she is not where she last was.
"Ah you're awake" a voice suddenly appeared. She looks in the direction towards it, but she couldn't tell which way it was coming from, then she heard snapping.
"I'm over here!" The voice appeared again. She looks towards where the snapping was. She then sees the same redhead that had attacked Muzan.
She was surprised "I thought you couldn't speak!"
"Oh no, I'm not talking to you... Well, I am, but only through your head" he then walks towards her and smiles. He extends his hand. "Tanjirou"
"Tamayo," she says looking suspiciously at the man. "How did this happen with the whole mind thing?"
"Well I wanted to test something," Tanjirou says "and guess what it worked!" He says clasping his hands together next to his face. It was strange to hear his voice even though his mouth was moving.
"How did you do this?"
"I've injected some of my blood and some wisteria into you"
"Wisteria?!" She exclaims "wisteria could've killed me!"
"Oh? I thought you wanted to die?" Tanjirou then shrugs "don't worry my wisteria and blood are completely different... Well, not completely similar to Muzan's and actual wisteria, but only slightly different!" Tanjirou attempts to calm her down "I can choose what happens to the person whenever I inject wisteria into them. Why I didn't poison Muzan was simply because his blood is much stronger than my wisteria, while on the other hand, you are not completely his blood and thus you will be affected by it"
Tamayo was listening intently. She had understood how his wisteria works. "Could you get rid of Muzan's cells from a demon? Since they are not completely his blood could you get rid of the curse he inflicted on them?" She says. Tanjirou stays quiet... Wait. "Did I say his name?!" Tamayo exclaims
"You are correct I can get rid of his cells from a demon" Tanjirou confirms her.
"But wouldn't that contradict what you said about infecting him?"
"Here's the thing he gives demons a weaker version of his blood," Tanjirou says surprising the woman "I had figured this out when I had taken blood from a demon with his blood" Tanjirou pulls out a syringe "and compared it to Muzan's actual blood." Tanjirou then puts the syringe away.
Tamayo looked towards Tanjirou with impressiveness. For how young he is he knew what he was doing. "You know a lot about this stuff then?"
"Of course, I've spent the last 200 years developing my skill and learning about demons"
"200 years?!" Tamayo was shocked "how old are you?!"
"About 300" Tanjirou answers "I was born around Muzan's age I'm pretty sure" Tanjirou puts his hand on his chin looking up a bit. "How about you? How old are you?"
"90," Tamayo says.
"Ah, and when did you turn into a demon?"
"When I was thirty... He had forced me to kill my family when I turned" Tamayo said a little disheartened. She didn't want to remember that memory.
Tanjirou getting a scent of sadness from the woman walks up to her and hugs her. "No worries all is fine" Tanjirou speaks in a soothing voice "you'll get your revenge when the time is right, but for now you must work to get up to that goal" Tamayo had cried into his shoulder they were muffled by the fact.
After a couple of moments, the two separate "feeling better?" Tanjirou pats her back lightly.
"Yes, thank you for that" she lets out a sigh "I haven't felt comforted and warm for years," she says with a blush.
"No worries" Tanjirou stands up. "I'm going out to the village. I'll get some items to cook in the meantime you get to explore my home a bit, I'm sure you're going to be here for a while" Tanjirou says walking out of the room closing the door behind him.
Tamayo finally had taken into account t of her surrounding. It was a simple room with log walls and a simple desk with a mirror on it along with the bed which she is currently residing on.
Tamayo couldn't get this feeling out of her chest it felt strange. Her heart was beating a bit faster and her face was redder than usual. Had it been like that the whole time?
Tamayo also couldn't get over the fact that a strange red beaded bracelet with no line between them had been floating on both of his wrists and hers as well. The strange thing was that when Tanjirou left the beads had disappeared.
Leaving that behind she decides to explore the house.
Leaving the room she resided in she sees that the house was quite small. Or rather a cabin. She sees a fireplace with a cauldron hovering above it being held up by small logs. The fireplace of course was surrounded by rocks. Around the rocks was a carpet.
Leaving the fireplace she diverts her eyes towards a table and two chairs. Again diverting her eyes she sees a small wardrobe with many things on it.
Seeing nothing else worth pointing out she looks at the room next to the one she came out of. Opening the door she sees that it is just like hers. Though only missing the mirror and desk.
Approaching the door and walking outside of the cabin. The grass was greener than ever and the trees were blowing against the wind. It was nighttime luckily so she was able to explore more.
Not going too far she runs into a greenhouse. It had a strong smell of wisteria coming from it, but strangely enough, it wasn't affecting her in the slightest bit. Opening the door and walking inside she could see the two wisteria trees that were on I side of the building. Wisteria trees were big and Tamayo had certainly known that.
There was a desk off to the side and many flasks and other things you would see in a science place.
"I've returned!" Tanjirou had filled her thoughts. She had been observing the things on the counter. She looked towards the greenhouse door to see if it'll open, but it hadn't.
"Tamayo you here?" Tanjirou had asked filling her thoughts once more.
What do I do?! I don't want him to catch me snooping into his research! Tamayo thought. She understood the power and pure strength of Tanjirou, and she had thought that Tanjirou would have disliked her digging into his research.
"So you're at the greenhouse then" Tanjirou invaded her thoughts "sorry for invading your thoughts Tamayo, but I hadn't known where you were!".
You can invade thoughts too!
"When I want to! Now that I know that adding wisteria to demons can allow me to talk to people and do this. I would only do it when I think it is important!"
Did you hear my thoughts earlier?
"Only a sentence, but it wasn't a personal one from my understanding!"
Tamayo sighed in relief, she questioned herself for a couple of seconds before asking. Do you mind if I look through your research?
No response.
Tanjirou?
"There's no need to speak through your thoughts anymore Tamayo". Looking to the door of the greenhouse she could see Tanjirou standing waving giving his casual smile. This earned a little yelp from Tamayo.
"Sorry!" Tanjirou says scratching his neck.
"It's alright" Tamayo composed herself "u-um do you mind if I looked through your research?"
"Oh not at all!" Tanjirou says. A wave of relief came over Tamayo.
"Thank goodness"
Tanjirou walking over stands next to Tamayo. He was quite tall and Tamayo had just realized. "Is there anything you would like to talk about?"
Tamayo would smile nodding. She was also fascinated by science and poison, even when under Muzan.
They had talked for hours about Tanjirou's research and discoveries. They were careful of the time and headed back towards his little cabin.
Tamayo couldn't have had more joy than ever.
