"What are you making?" Tamayo asked the redhead.

"I'm making soup for us to eat. Since I've altered your body a bit you should be able to taste this" Tanjirou added carrots as well as some greens into the cauldron. Tamayo hasn't tasted normal food ever since she was turned into a flesh-eating demon. After being forcibly fed humans the thought of eating always led to eating humans leaving a deep pit in her stomach.

Tamayo receiving a bowl of soup grabs a wooden spoon and consumes it. She was delighted with the taste, being the first actual food she had tasted in decades the flavors would savior on her tongue. "Where did you learn to make this?" She eats a little more "this is delicious!"

"Ah, I was like an uncle to this one poor family. I have helped them and cooked for them. It wasn't that long ago now that I think about it" Tanjirou pours himself some soup "I should go visit them some time. Tsugikuni if I remember correctly, I'm sure the little ones are grown up a bit" Tanjirou chuckles at the thought of them.

"Well you cook very well"

"Don't make me blush I'd say I'm average at it." Tanjirou chuckles. Finishing their bowls of course Tamayo had to get more.

"Ah, it seems to be night. I might as well visit the Tsugikuni's" Tanjirou said outside of his humble abode.

"Mind if I tag along? I don't want to be here by myself" Tamayo asked a little embarrassed.

"Of course, you can! We can use this time to get to know each other even more!" Tanjirou says excited "I haven't had company whenever I have these walks looking for Muzan and visiting some friends"

Then a thought entered her mind "why do you look for Muzan?" Tamayo was confused when Tanjirou said looking for Muzan.

"Well, I guess I had a strong feeling that I was made to defeat Muzan I guess. This was only my 3rd time meeting him. I guess he is forgetful of our meetings" Tanjirou says. "I mean I wasn't as strong as the other two times, but I still rivaled him both times"

"I haven't known. Do you mostly look for him?"

"Well, yes I do. It's only rarely that I visit friends" a silence bestowed on them. It was an awkward one, so in the silence, they had started walking.

"Well, I can help you do other things," Tamayo said breaking the silence.

"What do you mean?"

"I can bring you to festivals that I know of and teach you some activities that you could do to pass the time!" Tamayo says. "Like gardening and arts! Those were fun things I used to do!" She said to the delight of Tanjirou.

Smiling he said "those sound fun" he looks towards her "I'm sorry you were turned into a demon"

"Don't apologize. It was completely out of your hands" she said to the redhead.

"I know. It's just sad to see such a nice woman turned into one of them" he said. Tamayo blushed at the words 'nice woman'

Tanjirou and Tamayo on their nature walk had a great time talking to each other. Of course, Tanjirou had many more stories to tell than Tamayo due to his age, but she had some as well.

Tanjirou had told her about the many people he had met. Some are more exciting than others but still interesting nonetheless interesting.

Tanjirou had met many people from normal, sadistic, and sad. Worryingly he had run into more sad people because of the demons.

He had done everything he could to help them to at least decent health and be in the right state of mind. Bringing children to excepting families that were known to treat children well, and bringing men and women to cities and villages so they can interact get the help they need from other people.

He had met plenty of normal people of course, but the weirdest out of the normal ones was a man with a scar developing on his head. Tanjirou knew he couldn't help seeing this with someone else before. His last name was Ubuyashiki. He hadn't given his first name for whatever reason, but that man had led an organization to slay demons. Tanjirou was surprised by this statement. Humans protecting others from demons? It was a dream, but he decided to avoid talking more about it. He wanted to figure it out more for himself when he meets one.

The sadistic was luckily the smallest encounter he had. Another thing was that the sadistic was usually a demon so it was rare to see someone out of their mind.

"Wow you seemed to have met a lot of people," Tamayo says astonished, but not surprised due to his age.

"Yes, that's what being immortal is. Meeting all of these kinds of people" he said

"Well I never met as many people like you, but I've met some in my time" Tamayo lifts her hand to her chin "Ah! There was this one grandma when I was a child! She had knitted mostly everything for the children when I was young"

"She seemed like a nice lady"

"Yes, she made me a sweater that looked like a field of flowers! She had known that I loved flowers"

"Oh? What type of flowers do you like?"

"Conveniently it was wisteria flowers. I've always liked how purple and how beautiful they looked on trees" Tamayo says "but since I was turned into a demon I was forced to avoid them" she said a little sad.

"Good thing you ran into me then. Now you can marvel at wisteria all you want!"

"Yes, your right" she chuckles.

It had been long nights on their trip. The Tsugikuni's had lived quite far from where Tanjirou's cabin was located.

Though the best reason to say for Tanjirou's random adventure to the Tsugikuni household. Tanjirou had found a strong connection with them and the family as well, so they became great friends with each other and had been one of Tanjirou's most reoccurring visits to the family. The siblings were also a reason as well. Tanjirou had wanted to watch them grow.

He had felt like the uncle of the family. Even if he wasn't blood-related.

And when Tanjirou meant by a bit ago had met 15 years ago with the siblings being born when the parents were 20 (Tanjirou met them when they were 15)

Though besides that, Tanjirou had made sure to plant wisteria around where they lived to protect them from Muzan.

"Ah, here we are!" Tanjirou says extending his arms out into the air. It was daytime and both Tanjirou and Tamayo had worn clothes to cover their skin to protect them from the sun. He had wanted to meet them during the daytime as he didn't want to wake them during the night and keep them up. Their clothes consisted of a very baggy haori that would cover their hands and a hat that's brim stretched farther than usual.

"Tanjirou!" Two children had come around the house smiling. Tanjirou had faced and ran up to hug them.

"What brings you here?" Tanjirou had done some hand gestures responding to the boy who had a similar tint of red hair.

"We missed you as well," another boy that had dark hair said to the hand gestures. Both of the boys look towards Tamayo "who is she?" The dark-haired one said.

"I'm Tamayo, nice to meet you," she said bowing. Tanjirou did some more gestures likely suggesting to them that she is a new friend.

"Hello, I am Tsugikuni Michikatsu and this is my younger twin brother Tsugikuni Yoriichi" they bowed down as well.

"A friend of Tanjirou's is a friend of ours! Please come inside I'm sure you both want some tea?" Yoriichi asks with both of them nodding. Michikatsu and Yoriichi both walk inside the house to get tea ready and also likely tell their parents that Tanjirou along with a new friend had arrived.

"By the way, they do know that I am a demon," Tanjirou says to Tamayo "so don't worry about them being scared of you when they know you are a demon"

"I'll keep that in mind then" walling inside and making sure that the door was closed Tanjirou had taken off his hat and sets it on a hook on the wall with Tamayo following suit.

"Ah, Tanjirou hello" a woman with black hair that is tied at the bottom speaks. Tanjirou waves. "Ah, you must be the visitor Michikatsu and Yoriichi had spoken about, a pleasure to meet you I am Akeno" she lends out a hand with a warm smile.

"Tamayo" she shakes it giving back a warm smile as well.

"Well I'm going to go out for food, please make yourselves feel at home," she says walking off towards the direction

"This family is very lively," Tamayo says

"Yes they are, it is one of the many reasons I like them very much" Tanjirou walks towards the dining room with Tamayo following suit. "I will show you around later, but let's get our tea first"

The home of the Tsugikuni's was quite big for a small family, it had been three times bigger than Tanjirou's small cabin.

Tanjirou and Tamayo both walk into the dining room and take a seat where Michikatsu and Yoriichi were sitting waiting for them. The twins and the two adults talked for a bit. It was somewhat refreshing for Tamayo. She liked talking to Tanjirou, but only talking to him can become a bore pretty quickly even with his personality. They kept on chatting until a sudden question was asked.

"Tanjirou are you going to stay for the tradition?" Yoriichi asked

"Tradition?" Tamayo said

"Yes, it's where the oldest boy of the family does a special dance until sunrise." Michikatsu answers.

"Ah so are you performing it?"

A silence was taken over before the answer "no, my body wouldn't allow me to dance so Yoriichi had been doing it" a smell of jealousy had overwhelmed Tanjirou's noes. Michikatsu's scent had been taken over by jealousy to which Tanjirou gave a worried look towards him. It wasn't the first time Tanjirou smelt it, but it was more prominent than ever.

Tanjirou gave some hand signals saying that yes he would love to watch him dance and gave a warm smile towards Yoriichi. Tanjirou then looks towards Michikatsu and gestures to follow him.

"Chat with Yoriichi for a bit and get to know him, I have to talk with Michikatsu for a bit" Tamayo nodded before looking towards the red-haired boy that had an innocent look.

"What is it that you need help with?" He asked. Tanjirou then does hand signals towards him.

"You had smelled of jealousy when talking about the dance." Tanjirou signals with his hands towards the young boy.

"I know," Michikatsu said with guilt "but it's not fair! Why does he get to do it and I don't!" Michikatsu had gotten aggressive a bit.

"I can't answer that, but you should be more proud of him than anything"

"I know, but I can't bring myself to do that when I'm supposed to be doing it!" Michikatsu had gotten a little sad "he had gotten more attention from mother and father"

"But you should still support him. Listen if you ever feel like your jealousy takes over" Tanjirou then takes out a bellflower and hands it to him "use this to remind you that you should support him" Tanjirou gestured with his hands. Michikatsu looks down contemplating "at least do it for me or your mother. I bet she wouldn't want you to be sad over a dance" Tanjirou's hands were fluent when signing it, and Michikatsu was good at reading his signals ever since they started doing it.

"I- okay..." He said "if it's what you want then fine," he said.

"You should focus on the things you can do, but support your brother. Promise?" He signaled lending out a hand after.

"Promise," he said.

Authors notes:

Hello all! I do hope you enjoyed this chapter!

I decide to add the Tsugikuni's because why not? These two chapter and probably two more chapters take place before Yoriichi's confrontation with Muzan.

That's all I really have. Remember! I am not that creative so be more creative than me.
