There was an awkward silence when Tanjirou and Michikatsu left. So Tamayo decides to break it with a simple conversation. "How long did you know Tanjirou?"

"Ever since I was born," Yoriichi said with no expression.

"How old are you?"

"10." The kid said coldly. Tamayo could tell that there was no intent of rudeness behind it. The kid was very hard to talk to, she would be lying if she said she wasn't used to Tanjirou most of the time starting and making the conversations enjoyable.

"Well, why don't you explain more about this tradition you do," Tamayo was still intrigued by this traditional dance.

"Ok" Yoriichi then stood up and walked over to a more open area "so imagine that I am wearing a big red haori and holding two sticks specially made for it!" Yoriichi explained pretty enthusiastically as it seemed he enjoyed the dance and explaining and gained a chuckle from Tamayo by his childish description.

Yoriichi then did a set of movements very fluently and very beautifully. Tamayo clapped towards the child. "So that's how it would be like, but during the entire night!"

"Entire night? Wouldn't you get cold?" Tamayo said worryingly.

"No," Yoriichi said nonchalantly "the dance warms me when I do it" he again said nonchalantly.

"Why is that?" Intrigued Tamayo asked

"I think it's due to us worshiping the fire God" Yoriichi explained "we worship him to wave off curses or evil"

"Interesting... Does anything else happen when you dance?"

"Well, we would catch the sticks on fire and they would not burn me. That could also be a reason" Yoriichi said, but Tamayo was surprised.

"Isn't that dangerous!" Tamayo said worryingly "wouldn't you catch fire!?"

"No" Yoriichi again said not seeing where the worry was coming from.

"How long have you been doing this?"

"When father died," he said freakishly monotone. You would think there would be a hit of sadness from it, but no it was void of emotion, though a certain someone could smell a tiny hint of sadness coming from the boy.

"Oh" Tamayo then looked down "I'm am sorry for bringing it up"

"It's ok I've gotten over it," the boy said.

Then hearing the opening of a door both the people in the room turn towards it to see Tanjirou and Michikatsu walking in. Tamayo could see that Michikatsu was looking and feeling a lot better, he had lost most of the jealousy she had noticed.

"Was everything ok?" Tamayo asked.

"Yup! Everything is fine with him, just had to make sure of something" Tanjirou said, but the two youngsters only looked in confusion when Tamayo replied with an "ok."

"Tanjirou! How could she understand you!" Yoriichi said a little jealous that he wasn't in on this new way of communication.

"Yeah, how can she understand you?" Michikatsu was also jealous of this.

"Oh! I haven't told them yet" Tanjirou said to Tamayo "do you wanna reveal it?" He asked him

Nodding Tamayo opened her mouth and said "Tanjirou had forgotten to mention, but he could speak to me with his mind!" Tamayo said to the surprise of the boys.

"What! How I wanna talk to him through my mind!" Yoriichi said

"Well, that's because she's a demon" Tanjirou had explained with his hand.

"So we would have to become a demon to hear you?" Michickatsu asked

"I guess" Tanjirou responded with his gestures

"Then I will become a demon to hear you!" Michikatsu said triumphantly.

"I wouldn't recommend that," Tamayo said "while it's nice to talk to Tanjirou it still sucks to be a demon"

"Yes what she said, I haven't gotten the worst of it, but she has so make sure to listen to her" Tanjirou gestured.

"Aw, but it would be nice to hear Tanjirou" Yoriichi commented

"Don't worry, you should still be happy that you can still understand him when he is mute" Tamayo said. "I don't completely understand what he is doing with his hands myself and I am thankful that he says what he signals through my head," Tamayo said, "you should feel special and thankful for that!"

"I guess your right," Yoriichi said

"What does he sound like?" Michikatsu asked

"Well, that's very hard to explain," Tamayo said nervously "I haven't paid attention to his voice very well..." She thought for a moment before coming up with an answer "I guess his voice is kind and young even for his age, but him looking young fit his voice" Tamayo said. Of course, that wasn't all she had to say. He sounded like an angel to her. It wasn't often you would find a genuinely kind person in this world, but she kept it short and sweet for the twins.

"So he sounds kinda like us?"

"Well, more grown-up a bit, but it's close enough"

"Wow, that's so cool!" Yoriichi complimented "I wish I could hear him" Yoriichi envied Tamayo.

The four laugh, and chuckle about their conversation as well as confusing the mother who has walked in on them. The brothers tell the mother about what they found out and had surprised the mother as well.

A night loomed over the house. Tanjiro and Tamayo had been helping around the house and chatting with everyone in it. It was a simple day, but the most interaction Tamayo had gotten when serving under Muzan.

Sticks had been poked into the ground into a circle and had been lightened up making it seem like it was a ritual of some sort from far away. Then walking out of the house was Yoriichi who had been wearing the outfit for the dance. "You ready?" His mother Akeno asked

"Yup!" He said with enthusiasm. Yoriichi walked into the middle of the circle made out of sticks which were now lit by Tanjirou. Yoriichi then breathed in and then breathed out. He got into a battle stance and proceeded to dance. The sticks that were lit grew larger than before as well as the ones Yoriichi was holding. It was a beautiful sight no one would dare to disagree with. Seeing the fluentness of the fire breeze against the wind as he spun around. It was something nobody would ever forget.

Especially a certain lavender eye woman. Even though it has only been five days since she met Tanjirou she was treated more human and with care than in the years with Muzan. She watched the flames. The flames closely resembled the sun. The sun at which she missed ever so dearly.

Michikatsu could only watch with jealousy in mind, but trying his hardest to repress these emotions he was feeling. He was trying to keep his promise towards Tanjirou, but simply failing. Grabbing the flower he carries ever since the promise. The flower had the comfort to it, strangely enough. It was nice. He felt happy for his brother, joy even seeing him dance. He knew the dance was made up of stances made specifically for katanas, he was there when he saw his father doing them and creating each posture for the dance. He worried for his father as each time he was making up a posture he would puke up blood each time he would try until he perfected it. His father was in no way perfect, but still a good man no less.

"You feeling alright?" Tanjirou tapped his shoulder and had done hand signals toward him.

"Yes, I am fine" Tanjirou sniffed as the sadness would go away and be replaced with comfort. He smiled at this before returning to watch the show sitting next to Tamayo who sitting on the porch of the house.

"Does he do this throughout the whole night?" Tamayo was worried

"Yes, but don't worry he's fine. The only time he was injured was when he was training" Tanjirou said to Tamayo.

"But it can't be healthy to do this for the whole night! He could run out of stamina and catch himself on fire!"

"That won't happen. His father trained him and his stamina increased drastically during so" Tanjirou said "also the moves he's doing perfectly go around him and are far enough to not hit him" this calmed Tamayo's worries.

They watch the boy fluently do the moves with no problem. The fire was entrancing and they were so beautiful.

It was midnight, a full moon was above the boy who danced shining on him. Michikatsu and his mother were tired. It wasn't unusual for them to go to sleep at this time, and so they did, they walked off to their sleeping bags and fastly fell asleep. Tanjirou and Tamayo soon followed, they had arrived at a guest room that had a single sleeping bag.

"Oh dear," Tamayo said, not knowing what they would do.

"You can use that one, I'll see if there is another somewhere"

"But what if you don't?"

"My overly baggy haori will do then," Tanjirou said jokingly giving her a thumbs up before heading off.

I hope he finds one. Even if his overly baggy haori will help it mustn't be comfortable. She thought before climbing in and drifting off to her dreams.

Birds were chirping. Very lovely birds. Yawning Tamayo would lift herself only to realize she had only slightly carelessly let her arms and legs do her own thing.

I hope I didn't disturb Tanjirou. Tamayo thought, but luckily she hadn't gotten too close to disturb him. He couldn't find one. She thought as she sees him sleeping on the hardwood floor, he had found a pillow at least. Placing a blanket over the fellow she walks out of the room.

It smelt like the morning dew as usual and the swaying and rustling of trees could be heard by the slight wind. The mornings were always strangely calm for her, it was the first in a long time so it was different in a way, like a way of freedom. They hadn't slept on the way to the Tsugikuni to not miss the tradition. She as well didn't take in the full morning feeling on the first day she lived with Tanjirou.

"Ah, good morning Tamayo," Akeno said

"Ah, good morning Miss Tsugikuni," she said formally.

"No need to be formal... Say are you able to wat food? Tanjirou could and I'm just wondering"

"Yes"

"Oh, good I wouldn't know what to give you if you didn't" she sighed in relief.

"Well, Tanjirou is good with his experiments as I am a doctor myself," she said.

"Oh really? What do study mostly?"

"Oh I mostly work on medicines and such. I've spent most of my time trying to make them I practically know most recipes for them"

"Oh how interesting. I may need to ask you to come over whoever one of the boys get sick".

Akeno kept cooking as she chatted with Tamayo. The two talked about most things woman do back in the day such as gardening and taking care of children, though Tamayo only knew little about taking care of children, with only having a little more than a couple of years with children.

Tanjirou yawned (which was only a gust of wind) waking up from below the blanket Tamayo had put on him. Aw how nice of her. He thought about pulling them off and folding them up and placing them in the sleeping bag. Walking out of the room he looks both ways before heading toward the rooms where Michikatsu and Yoriichi had slept.

Yoriichi, whenever it was becoming morning, would stop what he was doing and head to bed, to get back his energy for the next day even if it is so little. Sliding open the door he sees two 10 years old sleeping close together almost practically holding hands. Looking at the sight he knew he had to destroy he tries to engrave it in his head before knocking on the side of the sliding door. They only reacted slightly with a flinch causing Tanjirou to knock louder causing them to flinch even more. Sighing he continuously knocks before both jolt up with Michikatsu yelling

"we're up!" Tanjirou gives one last knock before signaling them that Akeno was making breakfast. Nodding they both get up to change as Tanjirou walks toward the kitchen.

"Ah, good morning," Tanjirou both said and signaled.

"Good morning Tanjirou," both women said.

"What is it we're having?" Tanjirou asked Akeno.

"We're having some salad"

"Ah, always good to be healthy" he signaled.

Soon the children arrived filly clothed with their designated haori's. They silently groaned at the salad, but either way ate it as they know how well it is for the body. Eating and chatting with each other Tanjirou tells stories of men and women he finds along the way with paper he has on him with small little figures representing him and the other people along the way.

Finishing up everything Tanjirou (with the approval of Tamayo) signals that he and Tamayo best be going. Putting on their hats with abnormally long brims and gloves and hugging the residents that live in the house and waving goodbye they begin their journey back towards Tanjirou's humble little cabin and greenhouse atop a hill.
