Chapter 7: Pre-Game Prep
"How are you feeling about this Lizzy?"
While the Studio films Scene 5, Cinndon, Lizzy and Sticky all go out for lunch at the Sugar Rush Diner, just down the road from the Studio while they look over their scripts for the next scene.
Lizzy looks at her script, smiling. "Well Cinndon, considering how much I've been looking forward to my first go at acting, I'm excited!"
Sticky takes a sip of her drink. "This is your first time acting Lizzy?"
Lizzy looks up at Sticky "Unless you count all the times I was an extra for a scene on set."
Lizzy
Ive no stranger to a film set, I have been in extra roles throughout acting school, but this is the first time Ive been in a major role on a set.
"Well just be prepared, your not just some extra anymore." Sticky warned.
Lizzy nodded. "Trust me, I'm quite aware of that."
Cinndon took a bite of his burger and looked at the script again. "Lizzy, it looks like we will be romantic interests for this movie."
Sticky and Lizzy both start flipping through their scripts.
Sticky
That got me a bit worried you know? Even actors can catch feelings. I knew that I would have to start making my presence more obvious to Cinndon, but not TOO obvious.
Lizzy nodded a bit after reading that part of the script. "My first acting part is a romantic character. Nice."
Sticky looked over at Cinndon as he continue to scan over the script, highly focused on his task. She started to drift away from the rest of the world until Lizzy noticed and slightly nudged her back to reality, startling her and causing Cinndon to look up.
"Everything okay?" Cinndon asked.
Sticky smiled and laughed a bit. "Yeah, all good."
Lizzy looked at Sticky and knew something was up, then she had an idea. "Sticky, could you come help me with something in the bathroom real quick?"
Sticky looked at Lizzy, slightly confused. "Sure?"
Lizzy stood up quickly and motioned for Sticky to get up before dragging her to the bathroom, leaving Cinndon there, looking at them walk away. "Why do they always need someone to go with them?"
Lizzy pulled a confused Sticky into the bathroom before letting go of her arm.
Sticky looked at Lizzy. "What did you need help with?"
"Nothing, I wanted to talk to you." Lizzy admitted.
Sticky raised an eyebrow. "Talk to me? About what?"
"You have been eyeing Cinndon ever sense you found out about how our characters are going to be romantic interests." Lizzy said.
Sticky's cheeks went red and she looked away slightly. "So? That doesn't mean anything."
Lizzy crossed her arms and smiled. "For an actor, your not very good at lying."
Sticky threw her arms down, defeated. "Fine, so I have a crush on him, what you don't?"
Lizzy shook her head. "I'm just here to act, its what I have wanted for a long time. I'm not here to find love. Besides, I think he also is interested in you."
Sticky's demeanor softened. "You think so?"
Lizzy nodded. "I do, you should go for him."
Sticky looked back at the door leading back to the diner.
Lizzy tilted her head and smiled. "You ready?"
Sticky shook her head. "Not really, but we cant stay in here all day."
Lizzy stifled a laugh as they left the bathroom and went back to their seat.
Meanwhile.
Gloyd and Taffyta walked out off the studio lot heading back toward the cast trailers, their minds processing what they just learned. Soon, they arrived at Taffyta's Trailer and went inside. Gloyd looked around outside before finally closing the door and sitting down near Taffyta.
"Talk about a day." Gloyd said.
Taffyta looked out the window. "Tell me about it. Vanellope and Rancis doing a lemon scene."
"Do you think they would do it?" Gloyd asked.
"Maybe, but they are just now starting to date each other." Taffyta said, turning back to face Gloyd.
Gloyd looked down. "I wonder why the Director asked us to do this?"
"We had a big impact on helping drive those two together, he must think we can get the most info on how things are going so far." Taffyta answered as she stood up and walked to the kitchen. "Drink?"
Gloyd looked up and nodded. "Yes please."
Taffyta smiled and poured them both a soda. She put down the sodas on the table before sitting back down. "Thinking about it, we would be the best people to get that info on those 2 love birds."
Gloyd took a drink. "Isnt that an invasion of privacy?"
Taffyta shook her head before taking a sip. "No, I don't think so, we aren't spying on them, just asking them particular questions on how they think about their relationship."
"True, never thought of it like that." Gloyd said as he leaned back in the chair. "It would be easier to ask them separately."
Taffyta nodded "I agree, you talk to Rancis, and I will ask Vanellope."
"I just hope we don't clue them on whats going on." Gloyd said before taking another drink.
Taffyta looked out the window again. "As long as we are careful with our words, they wont see it coming.
Gloyd finished his drink. "I hope your right and this works." He stood up and walked to the door.
Taffyta sipped again. "I'm sure it will work."
Gloyd paused at the door. "I'm optimistic." He opens the door and steps out of the trailer. "Thanks for the drink by the way Taffyta."
Taffyta smiled. "Your welcome, and good luck."
Gloyd nodded and closed the door to the trailer before walking away.
