Getting out from her hiding spot Metalsound walked over to Steeljaw, stretching her arms over her helm before speaking, "She's odd, or maybe what you said just caught her off guard."
"She was caught off guard by what I said. I want to know why she let me go with a warning instead of trying to apprehend me."
"Maybe it's her way of giving you a chance to prove it? I don't know," the dark femme sighed as she looked at the sky, "I think we should get back, I'm sure Saberhorn and Glowstrike will be missing us."
"I highly doubt that, and I really don't care. Do you really think she could be giving me a chance to prove myself?" He starts walking through the forest towards the island.
"She could be," Metalsound replied as she followed after him, "Or she isn't sure of it herself."
Metalsound stayed quiet for a while, keeping her optics on the late-night sky, unknowingly she let out a longing sigh.
"Are you alright?"
Metalsound stopped for a moment as she put on a somewhat convincing smile, "Yeah, I'm fine. I think I'll stay out here instead of going on the ship tonight. All of those Mini-Cons working endlessly is starting to drive me nuts."
"Alright," Steeljaw says before he goes onto the ship.
Transforming into her beast form Metalsound found a hollow tree and lay underneath it, "When will I give up on him?" She whispered to herself as she slowly drifted to sleep.
Steeljaw is walking through the corridors of the ship heading to his room when he runs into Thunderhoof.
"Eyo Steeljaw. Where have you been?"
"Just on patrol with Metalsound."
"Oh really?" Thunderhoof asks giving Steeljaw a suspicious look.
"Yes, nothing was out of the ordinary."
"So, meeting up and talking with the Autobot cadet was part of the patrol?"
"I don't know what you're talking about Thunderhoof," Steeljaw replied coolly.
"I saw you there in the forest talking with her."
Steeljaw grabs his arm and shoves him into his room, "I'll only say this once Thunderhoof, if you mention this to anyone it will be the last thing you ever do," the Decepticon growled.
"No worries, my lip plates are sealed. I can even help you win her spark if you want."
"And for what reason would you want to help me?"
"I just want to help you for old time's sake. You could just do things your way and risk never getting her, I can tell you're no good with talking to femmes."
Steeljaw narrowed his optics as he let out a low growl, "And just what is that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing. Do you want help getting her or not?"
"As much as I would like the help, I have Metalsound to help me."
"Where is Metalsound?"
"She said that she was going to sleep outside, the Mini-Cons were driving her nuts. I swear she acts more like a human rather than a Predacon."
"Oh. Do you know if she's... with... anyone?"
"Not that I can... You like her, don't you?" Steeljaw asked with a mischievous grin.
"What? No, I... I... was just asking... um."
"Relax brother, I won't say a word."
"Do you really like Cadet Strongarm?"
"Metalsound seems convinced. Although, I think some part of me does."
"I can tell. And... I do like Metalsound, I think she's pretty."
"Is that the only reason you like her?"
"She's also pretty cool, I like how she handles herself and doesn't take crap from the other 'Cons around here, especially Saberhorn and Glowstrike."
"I think she was with Megatron's group when they were on Earth," Steeljaw mused. Come to think of it, she had been here before the Alchemor crashed on Earth as well, "How long do you think she's been here?" He wondered aloud.
"I wouldn't know, I haven't gotten close to her as you have, she probably thinks ill of me like she does all the others, you seem to be her favorite."
"I'm not entirely sure why she would like me over anyone else, you should try to talk to her. But you may want to wait until morning, she would probably maul you if you wake her up," Steeljaw warned, he had tried to wake her up once. She tried to maul him but he managed to get the upper hand and took her down before she could do any damage.
"Good idea. Why don't we help each other get the femme we want?"
"Deal," Steeljaw offered his servo to seal their agreement. Thunderhoof took Steeljaw's servo and shook it then left the room. Steeljaw closed the door and laid down on his berth, soon finding himself thinking about Strongarm, wondering when he was going to see her again.
Metalsound growled softly in her sleep as she tossed and turned trying to get comfortable again. Her legs twitched as if she was running...
"Starscream help me!" She called out to the second in command, she was pinned under the rubble from the explosion in the Energon mine. Thanks to those two Autobots, Bumblebee and Bulkhead, she was now trapped.
Starscream just looked back at her with a sly grin before he transformed, taking off to the sky as the mine collapsed around her. With an enraged growl, she shouted his name in anger before the rock extinguished her spark.
Metalsound awoke in a panic but started calming down once she realized it was just a dream, "It was only a dream," she whispered to herself, "Only a dream."
Steeljaw was walking by and saw her suddenly wake up in a startle, "Are you alright Metalsound?"
Metalsound didn't trust herself to say anything, she only glanced over to Steeljaw before resting her helm on her paws. The fur around her neck was still standing at the memory of the nightmare.
"Have a nightmare? It's alright, you don't have to talk about it."
"Thanks, for checking up on me."
"No problem."
"What are you doing out here? The sun's not even up yet."
"Couldn't get much sleep, so I thought I would go for a walk."
"Still thinking of Strongarm?" She teased lightly.
"Yeah. I can't get her out of my processor, she's clogging up every inch of it. Every time I close my optics I see her face."
Metalsound huffed a chuckle, "That's love for you, you always find yourself thinking of the one you like all the time. You see them in your sleep, you hope they will return your feelings. That they'll forgive you for the choices you made in the past."
Steeljaw looks up at the sky, "In that case, I guess I love her."
"You have to be fully sure though, when you see her again it will be on the battlefield."
Steeljaw sighs, "Yeah I know... Why do we have to be on opposite sides?" Steeljaw asks as he closes his optics feeling a bit sparkbroken.
"Not sure," Metalsound yawned, "But I know what it's like," she replied as she drifted back to sleep. Steeljaw looks at her a bit in surprise. He then shrugs it off and looks back up to the sky, with a certain cadet on his processor.
