The following day, Craig and Omar hardly looked at or said a word to each other, whether they were hanging out with their friends or on another puzzle cube quest.

First, when they found another puzzle cube piece, both of them tried to grab it but ended up touching each other's hands which caused them to blush and clear their throats in embarrassment. Then at the Candy Bar, Omar had ordered himself a mug full of gummy worms to try and forget what happened, but Craig had the same idea when he thought the mug was his before realizing that Omar was going for the mug and letting him take it. Finally, at the Herkleton Library, when Omar was borrowing a new graphic novel book, he bumped into Craig who was also borrowing a book. With a groan of pain, Craig got up rubbing his head and his eyes widened when Omar was in front of him. He stared at him awkwardly.

Omar quickly got up to his feet and blushed uncontrollably. "I'm sorry! I gotta go! Bye!" he blurted out, then ran past Craig to the librarian's desk to check out his book. After Omar left, Craig looked down with a frown.

Later that evening at dinner time, Craig was playing with his food while his elbow was placed on the table. He didn't feel like eating much as he was still thinking about what Omar said to him when his mother, Nicole, noticed. "Craig, You haven't eaten a single thing off your plate. Is something wrong?" she asked, looking worried. Craig stopped playing with his food and faced his mom, forming a fake smile. "Oh uh, yeah Mom. Everything's fine. Heh heh." he responded, continuing rolling up one of his green peas up to his mashed potatoes with his spoon. However, his family could see that Craig didn't look like he was fine as he was sculpting a face of someone with his food. "This ain't like you to give us the silent treatment. What's wrong with you today?" Duane also asked, but Craig didn't make any eye contact as he kept rolling up his peas. "I said I'm fine, Dad. There's nothing wrong." he replied with a grunt. Finally, Bernard decided to break the silence by poking his brother on the shoulder. "Hey Craig, come on! Speak to us! You can't hide any secrets forever! If you've got something to say, then spill! Or are you just gonna keep making mashed potato faces on your plate all night?" Craig looked down at his plate to see that the food on his plate had been formed into the shape of Omar's face by him! He let out a little shriek! "What? No!" Craig glaring up at Bernard and scooping a big spoonful of mashed potato into his mouth. "It's nothing! I'm totally fine! I'm not keeping any secrets!" he exclaimed through a mouthful that he sprayed mashed potatoes all over the table. Jessica shielded her face in disgust! "Craig! Stop that!" she snapped as Craig clammed his mouth shut while he sank into his seat.

"Bernard!" scolded Nicole as she looked back at Craig to place a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Craig, if there is anything that's going on in your mind, you're free to tell us." she prompted, but Craig turned away with his cheeks turning into a slight red. "Mom. It's nothing. I'm fine. Really." he replied in a small voice. "Look Craig, if you can really tell us anything, we can help you with whatever's bothering you." his mom said gently. "If it's about that Xavier kid again or some crazy game, then we could-" But before Nicole could finish her sentence, Craig felt the pressure burst inside him as he had enough of these questions and smacked his palms on the table that made everyone jump in shock and the plates, glasses, and utensils shake! "I TOLD YOU GUYS! THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH ME! I'VE GOT NOTHING TO HIDE!"

"But Craig, we're just trying to help-" Duane tried to reason, but Craig shot a death stare at his dad that made him purse his lips shut. "I SAID I'M FINE, EVERYTHING IS FINE! SO PLEASE! STOP ASKING ME ANYMORE QUESTIONS!" After Craig calmed down while breathing heavily, his family became silent and Jessica had a puppy-faced expression as Craig took notice, feeling guilty about his impulsive behavior. "Look I'm sorry, okay? I just don't wanna talk about it." he muttered, letting his shoulders slump in shame as Craig got up to grab his staff and purse, then walked right out of the dining room with his head down. "Just leave me alone, please. And don't bother telling me to finish my food, I'm not that hungry anymore." As Craig had gone up to his room, Duane, Nicole, Jessica, and even Bernard exchanged worried glances with each other. They knew that they needed to do something, or else Craig will never be the same again.
