The next day at the Williams' house, Jasmine had just arrived earlier after getting her aunt's call last night. So now she and Craig were in the living room, having a talk about Omar and his confession. "And that's what he said." Craig finished explaining when Jasmine listened in. "Omar even asked me if I could be his… ahem, 'more than just a friend' friend because he wants us to hang out more." Jasmine nodded. "Mhm. I think this Omar kid meant to say that he wants you to be his boyfriend. And anyways, it seems to me that he's really into you Craig, just as you seem into him." Craig cringed when Jasmine said that. "Well yeah. I mean, I do kinda like Omar. He's pretty cool. You know with the bow and arrow and the hair, and stuff, but…" he trailed off, scratching the back of his head and feeling himself blush like before when he mentioned Omar.
Jasmine gave an encouraging smile to Craig. "Go on." she urged. Craig inhaled through his nostrils as he let out a deep sigh before continuing. "It's not just all that, it's the Omar is way more understanding and forgiving than some girls I'm friends with in the Creek, like Kelsey, Kit, Wren, and Wildernessa. But that's not the thing I'm worried about. I'm worried about what other people will think of us if they see us being and liking each other more than just friends. I mean, don't get me wrong! It would be cool if Omar and I hung out more, but what if the Creek Kids start to think we're weird? What if my friends think we're weird too? And what if the whole world thinks we're weird?" asked Craig anxiously, and started to feel panic rising in him when Jasmine placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Whoa whoa! Craig, get a hold of yourself!" she exclaimed, then toned down her voice soothingly. "It's okay. Listen, I know you're worried about what other people will think if they see you and this Omar kid really like each other more than friends, but it won't matter if some people will think you guys are weird. Because there will be more people in the world to support your relationship with each other, just as there have been more people supporting me and my girlfriend than some who think that we're weird when we first met."
Craig looked up to face his cousin. "You really think so?" he asked, not sure if he should believe Jasmine or not. "I know so," Jasmine reassured with a nod. "Besides, you and Omar aren't the only ones who seem to like each other more than friends, because there's a lot more guys like you two out there." As Jasmine put that in, Craig remembered Raj and Shawn, the former Honeysuckle Rangers and owners of the Creek's famous Candy Bar, are like that. He then looked back at the Witches of the Creek having their sweet moment together when he, Kelsey, JP, and Mortimer got back from the Haunted Dollhouse. So perhaps Jasmine could be right. "But if some jerks do try to tease you, don't let them and their words get into your head. Stand up for yourself, Omar, and for your relationship, just as you always do for some kids who get teased." she advised, then added meaningfully, "Because knowing you cuz, you're a strong kid with a strong heart."
After taking all of his cousin's advice, Craig gave Jasmine a big hug. "Thanks Jasmine. I know exactly what I wanna say to Omar now." Jasmine hugged back. "No problem Craig. Now that that's settled, didn't you say you were going over to the Creek to see Omar?" she asked, looking down at the time on her phone before showing it to Craig as he jumped in alarm. "You wouldn't wanna keep him waiting." she singsonged as Craig's eyes widened to see that it was already 12pm! "Oh no! I'm late! Okay, I'm going! See ya!" He grabbed his bag and staff, and ran out through the door as Jasmine smiled at him when Nicole appeared at her niece's side and placed her hand on her shoulder, showing thanks to her.
