AN:Written for Rare Pair February.

AN2: This is set around five to six years in the future. Manon and Chris are around eleven or twelve here.

"I think it's cute," Alya said as they watched the two tweens make a concerted effort to avoid looking at one another. Chris would stare longingly at Manon when he thought that she couldn't see, before turning away blushing slightly.

Not that Manon was much better. She kept sending longing glances at him and then pretended that she hadn't.

But instead of saying something, the two of them kept on pretending to do their homework.

"It's painful," Marinette said with a groan. Thankfully both tweens were far away enough to not hear them talking. "Everyone can see they're head over heels for one another except for them."

Alya gave Marinette a very flat look.

"They're oblivious," she said in a very flat voice and Marinette flushed.

"Adrien and I got there in the end!" Marinette protested and Alya snorted with amusement.

"Eventually. After enough misunderstandings, awkwardness, stuttering and a love square that ONLY you two could have gotten yourself into."

"Not to mention Marinette managing to friendzone herself when they did reveal themselves," Tikki added. Marinette glared at her kwami, while Alya laughed.

"I had forgotten about that!" Alya said with a grin when she finally stopped laughing and Marinette blushed. "You two were awkward enough to make a romantic comedy all on your own."

"Marinette, can we play Ultimate Mecha Strike four now?" Manon asked, while Chris gazed longingly at her for a minute.

"Yeah, we've finished our homework," Chris added and Manon smiled at him, before turning away to blush slightly. Chris also blushed, much to their amusement.

"Yes, of course," Marinette said and Chris grabbed Manon by the hand, before abruptly letting go and turning away blushing even more. Manon however didn't appear to notice as she seemed to be holding her hand with a slightly blissful look on her face. Alya looked at Marinette with a slight smirk on her face.

Marinette sighed and quickly grabbed Manon by the shoulders.

"You know, sometimes the best way to let a boy know you like him is to just straight up tell him," she said quietly to Manon gave her a puzzled look.

"Of course I like Chris. He's a good friend!" Manon said and Alya smirked as Manon ran off to join Chris.
