Hello Everyone, it has been a long time since I last updated. I got my new laptop but I got swam with work that I nearly forgot about this. Please forgive me. Those who have read my story left comments and even favorite it, I offer my sincerest thanks to you all. The previous chapter had a lot of mistakes and poor grammar and as I had promised, I will correct them.

Previously, I had given you a sneak peek but I made changes. I added another character who would want to cause trouble for Jan Di and Ji Hoo's relationship and also Ji Hoo's grandfather showing up to save the day at the event. Thank you for understanding.

Just a quick reminder, I don't own boys over flower characters.

The following day...

Ji Hoo at the sound of his phone and he awoke alone in bed. "Yi Jeong, why are calling me so early?" he asked his eyes half open

"What do you mean?" Yi Jeong shot back "You didn't show up for the lectures, so my guess is that your date went well"

"It's my business" he replied and turned off the phone

Everything that had happened the night before returned to his mind. He felt immense joy for the first time in a long time. He was puzzled as to where Jan Di could have gone without informing him. He crept out of bed and grabbed his robe to search for her.

"Jan Di-ah?" When he called, he went to the kitchen, then to the dining room. He discovered something covered with a note on the table.

'I'm sorry, Sunbae, but my shift at the porridge shop is about to start, and I have to leave.'

He examined the food she had prepared as well as two small wrapped boxes. He opened them right away. One box contained chocolates in the shape of his face, while the other contained cakes with another small note.

'I heard that on Valentine's Day, those who love each other in China share these moon cakes.' I hope you enjoy them.'

"Of course, they came from you. How could I not like them?" When Ji Hoo took his first bite of the moon cake, he remembered something important.

He dashed to his room to retrieve his phone. He started looking for morning after sex pills. "Yoon Ji Hoo, you're such a jerk. How could you not have even a single pack of condoms in your house?" he chided himself. He also placed another order for condoms.

"How many packets do I need?" he pondered. "Maybe two will be enough for the time being."

He smiled to himself, took out his wallet, and looked at the photo he had taken of Jan Di holding a puppy in a pet store.

"Did you give Ji Hoo sunbae the moon cakes and chocolates you made, Jan Di-ah?" Ga Eul questioned. Jan Di couldn't take her smile off her face.

"How did your date go?" her best friend inquired once more.

"It went well," she said, refusing to say anything about what happened between her and Ji Hoo. Her best friend could open her mouth at any time.

"Nothing happened between you two?" she teased.

"N-nothing occurred." Jan Di stammered and focused on cleaning the table. It was a closely guarded secret...

Jan Di, Ga Eul, and Bom Choon-Sik turned as the doorbell rang, and in walked an older man wearing a navy-blue windbreaker, a trapper hat, and a duffel bag slung over his shoulder.

"Look at the state of this restaurant..." grumbled the old man. "What a pity!" He walked over to a table in the back and lowered himself into the seat with an exaggerated groan. The man then removed his hat and tossed it onto the seat beside him.

Jan Di and Ga Eul looked up at their Master, who was suddenly alert. And Choon-Sik ushered them over to the man's side. When it was Jan Di's turn to serve the next customer, she approached him while Ga Eul stood back. The man's hair was greying, and he had a patch of stubble growing on his chin.

When Jan Di approached, it was impossible to ignore the strong fish odor that lingered on the gentleman. Jan Di assumed he was a fisherman who had just returned from the lake. Jan Di also thought he looked extremely familiar, but she couldn't place him. Perhaps she'd previously waited on him...

She shook her head and smiled at the customer. Instead of responding, the stoic old man simply barked, "Jjajangmyeon!"

Jan Di's brow furrowed, and she looked to Ga Eul, but her best friend appeared as clueless as she about the request.

Jan Di furrowed her brow and looked to Ga Eul, but her best friend seemed as baffled as she was about the request.

Jan Di returned with a polite explanation, "Um, I'm sorry, Harabeoji, but we don't offer that here."

"Yes, we're a porridge shop," Ga Eul said quietly behind her friend.

The old man gave the girls an annoyed look before saying, "Jjajangmyeon!" again and again.

Ga Eul reminded the customer once more that they didn't serve it and suggested he go to the Chinese restaurant across the street, but Master interrupted. "I think I can make it," he said, rolling up his sleeves in preparation

The girls and their boss stood motionless, their gazes fixed on the old man as he practically inhaled the meal that Master had prepared. He finished his meal and slumped back into his chair. He sat for only a few moments before rising and walking toward the door.

He was stopped by Jan Di. "Excuse me, Harabeoji...," she began delicately, unsure how to approach the situation. After all, no one had ever tried to simply walk away without paying the bill. "Are you sure you're not going to pay for the meal?"

The elderly man mumbled. "Why should I have to pay to eat that garbage?"

Jan Di responded with a polite smile. "However, Harabeoji, you did eat it, so you should pay..."

In response, the elderly man merely growled. Jan Di returned her attention to Ga Eul, who was far less patient with the man's attitude.

Jan Di and Ga Eul exchanged hushed glances, debating how much to charge for the specialty meal. To draw their attention, the elderly man cleared his throat. When they turned around, the old man pulled a fish from who knows where—maybe in his pocket? It seemed like an unusual place to keep one, but where else could he have gotten it?

Jan Di squealed when she was handed the slimy fish. She rolled her sleeves up over her hands and grabbed the frantically flopping creature. The man looked at Jan Di for a moment before returning to Master and saying, "Next time, spicy catfish stew!" before leaving the shop.

"Next time?" the girls muttered together.

Jan Di and Ga Eul only looked at the man for a few seconds before Jan Di yelped and rushed the thing over to her boss. "Master!" she exclaimed, pleading with him to relieve her of her burden. Master had a firm grip on the fish.

"My, wasn't he...eccentric?" Ga Eul made a remark.

"To put it lightly," Jan Di observed.

The girls cast sullen glances at their master, who appeared overly depressed. But there was no doubt about why. The old man had insulted his cooking and then refused to pay the bill!

"Don't worry about him, Master," Ga Eul assured him.

"Yeah, I think he has Vascular dementia or something," Jan Di speculated, hoping to cheer up her depressed boss.

Ga Eul walked over to the table and took the bowl of leftover black noodles. She placed it on the counter and stared at it intently. "Hey, can we...try it?" she questioned.

Master simply shrugged his shoulders.

So they each took a pair of chopsticks and a portion of the remaining noodles. Their gazes locked after they had tasted. Both pairs' eyes widened in surprise. "Delicious!" they all exclaimed at the same time.

Ga Eul then approached her best friend, pleading with her to tell her about her night with Ji Hoo. "So..." Ga Eul began once more. "Shall we proceed with the conversation?".

Jan Di insisted that nothing had happened between her and Ji Hoo.

She wasn't convinced. She was about to ask her for more information when the porridge shop's bell rang again. They both bowed without looking up.

Ji Hoo entered the room. He had a bright smile on his face. He swallowed and cleared his throat. "Jan Di," he said.

"Ji Hoo Sunbae?" Both of the girls exclaimed.

Their boss dashed out of the kitchen to check on his favorite F4 in his shop. He greeted him so enthusiastically that the frown vanished. "What are you doing here, Sunbae?" Jan Di wondered aloud, but her gaze was elsewhere. She was afraid to look him in the eyes.

"Jan Di-ah," he said as he approached her. "May we talk in private?"

He didn't wait for her response. He took her small hand in his and led her outside, despite her protests that she needed to assist her friend with serving customers.

"It won't take long," he assured her as he led her to his parked car on the street. He opened the door and motioned for her to take a seat. He went to get behind the wheel.

"I thought you didn't drive," she explained.

"Yes, but with you here, I can do it," he said, taking her hand and kissing it before starting the car.

For the first time, Ji Hoo drove his car and parked near a small river. "I discovered this location about a month ago. It has lovely scenery. "What do you think?"

"It's lovely," she said as she looked out the car window. She closed her eyes and let the sound of the flawing river calm her nerves for a moment. She had barely noticed Ji Hoo getting out of the car and standing in front of her.

"Jan Di-ah," he said softly, "Let's go."

Ji Hoo spread a small blanket on the grass near the river. He took a small picnic basket and placed it on the blanket before directing Jan Di to sit. She was still captivated by the view.

"Have you had breakfast yet?" he asked, pulling the dishes from the basket.

"No, I was going to eat porridge."

"I saved this that you made for me."

"Gomawo sunbae," she said and took the dish to eat. She was indeed very hungry.

"We're alone, stop calling me sunbae," he chided her sweetly.

"Yes, Ji Hoo-ah," she said shyly, turning away. She was still getting used to calling him by his given name.

"I'm sorry Jan Di-ah, I didn't use..." Ji Hoo said as he took a small medicine box from his jacket and handed it to Jan Di. He averted his gaze from her "protection last night."

"Oh...I didn't notice it," she admitted, her cheeks flushed pink.

"You can take one now and another later in the evening."

"Oh...OK," she said as she popped one pill into her mouth and drank some water. She pushed the other pill away and got out of the blanket. She walked to the river's edge and stood there watching it flow calmly.

Ji Hoo approached her and laced their fingers together. In silence, they walked slowly to the river's edge.

"Jan Di, do you know what?" Ji Hoo wondered aloud.

"What?"

"Every time I see you near water, it reminds me of a small cute animal who enjoys water like you," he chuckled.

"What kind of animal is that?" "Is it a mermaid?" She inquired, giddy, about being referred to as a mermaid.

"No," he said immediately. "It's an otter."

"An Otter!" She exclaimed.

"Otters are small and adorable, with long, slim bodies and relatively short limbs. Their most striking anatomical features are their powerful webbed feet used for swimming and their seal-like ability to hold their breath underwater. They are also always calm when near water," he added.

"Oh, it appears you're good at observing people," she remarked.

"I'm not," he clarified. "I'm only good at reading people's eyes, and yours are easy to read."

Ji Hoo approached her from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist and leaning into her. "No matter what happens in the future, I want to always hold you in my arms, shower you with all my love, sleep and wake up with you in my arms, and you will always be my small cute otter."

"Me too, Ji Hoo-yah," she replied, savoring the warmth of his body against hers. "I want to be that otter you will always remember." "Last night was fantastic," she said quietly to him.

She was overjoyed when she awoke. Her back and hips hurt, and her intimate areas were swollen with dried blood, but that didn't stop her from smiling.

Ji Hoo had taken her virginity and had no regrets about it.

"Yes, it was wonderful, and I don't think I'll ever forget last night," he said as he kissed her cheek and cradled her in his arms tighter. "Unfortunately, you fled. I didn't get to see you."

"I'm sorry," she said sheepishly, "I just didn't want to miss my shift."

"I love you," he said as he tilted her chin and leaned in to softly kiss her lips.

Ji Hoo and Jan Di sucked on their lips, tangled their tongues, and deepened their kiss.

"I have something else for you," he said as he drew back.

"But you..." she began to protest, but Ji Hoo stopped her.

He slid an old pair of cherry blossom jade bangles around her wrist.

"These are ancient Chinese pair bangles." "It was the first gift my father gave to my mother," he explained as he examined the bangle. His eyes were filled with pain.

"... Sunbae "She stated affectionately. Feeling his anguish "I understand how important I am to you, but your parents are more important to you. You should treasure this..."

"No," he abruptly cut her off. "If I couldn't give to her, it means you're the only one for me."

"You should also be aware that if Sunbae is sad, I will be sad as well," she said quietly. "I want to bring you all the happiness I can, even if I don't know how."

When Ji Hoo heard such words, he turned Jan Di around to face her. He had one arm around her waist and the other on her back. He cuddled her and kissed her slowly as if he didn't want it to end.

He then embedded his tongue into her mouth and intensified the kiss, sucking the air from her.

Jan Di eventually drew back to catch her breath.

This guy has some serious lung power.

She drew back to catch her breath, but Ji Hoo pulled her back with full force and kissed her once more. Their kisses lasted for so long that they lost track of time.

Ji Hoo and Jan Di cuddled on the blanket that had been spread out in the grass. They completely forgot about breakfast. Jan Di began fantasizing about her future life with Ji Hoo.

Ji Hoo chimed in with ideas after she started the topic. He began to suggest that they move in together. Do what married couples do. They would, however, wait.

"It'll be lunchtime soon. I'll treat you to some American dishes," Ji Hoo said with a smile.

He and Jan Di arose from their deep relaxation. Jan Di stretched her arms and let out a cute yawn.

She turned around to see Ji Hoo staring at her with a cute smile.

"What?" she inquired.

"Nothing...just it's that you look adorable when you yawn," he replied affectionately.

Before Jan Di could respond to what he had just said, he extended his hand for her to take. He assisted her in rising from the grass.

They were packing their belongings when an elderly man appeared out of nowhere. He held a white paper bag in his hand. "Young master," he said, bowing. He then turned to Jan Di and bowed.

"It's an honor to finally meet you, Miss Jan Di," he said with a smile.

Jan Di looked at Ji Hoo, then back to the man she'd never seen before, surprised that he recognized her.

"How do you know who I am?"

"Only you can make our Young master smile brightly," was his only response.

"I got you what you wanted, young master." He presented him with the paper bag.

"The bag was delivered today."

"Thank you, Secretary Park," he said, turning to Jan Di, "let's go eat."

Ji Hoo and Jan Di walked to his sports car, fingers interlaced, while Secretary Park asked the maid to pick up the items Ji Hoo and Jan Di had used.

"This is for you." Ji Hoo handed her the paper bag Secretary Park had given him.

"What is this?" she asked as she took the bag.

"I hope you love it," he added.

"Wow!" exclaimed Jan Di as she opened the bag to look inside. It was a hot pink leather round crossbody chained handbag with cherry blossom and small pearls attached. "far too much"

"Do you like it?" he asked quietly.

Girls place a high value on their bags and shoes. When he saw it advertised, he placed an order for it to be shipped to him.

"I do, but...it must have been costly."

"It really doesn't matter," he said before she could say anything else.

He had given her an expensive snowflake bracelet the night before, and now he had given her not only his mother's bangles but also a bag.

"Why don't you open it, there's something inside," he suggested.

Ji Hoo observed her as she removed a bag from the paper bag. It was amazing how slowly she unzipped the bag.

Will he continue to lavish me with expensive gifts?

The bag contained all of the jewelry from the cherry blossom collections. Earrings, necklaces, bangles, and even hair ornaments were also there.

Jan Di took a longer than necessary look at Ji Hoo.

Their lips met unexpectedly in a simple kiss.

"Gomawo Sunbae," she said, thanking him.

"Do you remember when you asked if money could buy everything?" he asked.

"Yes, you said it was air," she said with a smile.

"These gifts may be costly, but they will never compare to the love I have for you," he explained. "Thank you for teaching me that in this world, love is more important than money."

"And thank you for letting me into your heart," she exclaimed feverishly. She gave him a pleasant smile. Their silence was reassuring.

Her stomach growled, and the moment was shattered.

"Let's go," he said as he started the engine of his car.

The waitress greeted Ji Hoo and Jan Di politely as they entered the restaurant. They were directed to a table near the window. It provided an excellent view of the city.

After that, the waitress placed the Menu in front of them.

"What do you want to eat, Jan Di-ah?" He inquired while browsing the menu.

"Could you please order for me instead?" she requested sheepishly

"OK, so do you eat mushrooms?" he asked, reviewing the dishes containing mushrooms.

"Yes," she said instantly, her voice full of excitement.

"We'll have two bowls of creamy mushroom soup," he said in English to the waitress.

"You then serve mushroom grilled chicken with fried rice and two glasses of orange juice as the main course."

The order was entered into the iPad by the waitress. "How about dessert?" she suggested as she placed the dessert menu in front of him.

Sunbae knows some good English

"What would you like for dessert, Jan Di-ah?"

"Hmm...how about ice cream since it's hot outside?" she exclaimed excitedly.

He nodded and turned to face the waitress, who was watching them attentively.

"Ice cream," he stated flatly.

"Thank you," the waitress said as she walked away.

The lunch was delicious, something Jan Di never expected to crave in her lifetime. They ate their ice cream while conversing and smiling at one another.

...

"What a sweet couple!" someone in the corner exclaimed with dreamy eyes.

"Yes," said another. "It appears that the girl is the one who wears the pants in their relationship."

"He placed his order based on her preference," said another.

"Have you seen the cross bag she's carrying?" exclaimed another.

"Have you noticed who that man is?" One of the girls noticed Ji Hoo.

"Of course, who doesn't know who the only man worthy of the title of flower boy is?"

"I didn't expect Yoon Ji Hoo to take a step back and fall for a commoner," another girl sneered.

"What's the harm in being a commoner?" Can't you see how big his smile is? "Something Min Seo Hyun failed to do," defended the first girl.

...

"I'll pay for lunch, and then we'll go," Ji Hoo explained.

He then gently kissed her forehead and walked to the counter. "I'd like you to deliver the dishes we had to the address I'll give you," he told the manager.

"For how long?" the manager wondered.

"Every time I call you," he replied. He paid a premium for the services.

"Deliver three plates right now," he wrote down Jan Di's address, "and also one box meat pizza to my place."

He returned his attention to Jan Di, who was smiling at her new bag. She would take off her jewelry and use the bag for other purposes.

"Hey, have you finished paying?"

"Hmmm," he said as he took her hand in his and walked away.

The gossip continued as they watched the couple leave the restaurant until...

"Instead of gossiping about other people, why don't you find something to do?" a beautiful long-haired girl appeared out of nowhere and scolded them.

The gossip died away. They watched the beautiful tall girl carrying a guitar case walk out of the restaurant.

The girl noticed Jan Di's cheeks turning pink as Ji Hoo smiled down at her.

Ji Hoo slid open the passenger door. Ji Hoo bent over to tighten her seat belt as she slid in. He kissed her on the cheek before withdrawing and closing the door.

He walked to the other side, missing the beautiful girl's small smile in his direction. He was so preoccupied with Jan Di that he didn't notice her.

"Miss Park Han Jae Hee?" Shinwha's principal inquired. "We only have one music teacher who teaches how to play the guitar; can you handle it?"

"Yes," she said. Her gaze darted back and forth before returning to the principal.

"I want Yoon Ji Hoo to teach me," she flatly stated.

"Please excuse me?" The principal exclaimed. He was overwhelmed by the audacity she possessed.

This girl sure has some guts

"Yes, he was a childhood friend of mine, and I've heard he's a music expert who can play almost any instrument. I'd like to be in the same class as him."

The principal smiled, but it was a mocking smile. "Good luck winning him over," he remarked dryly.

After all, money was present and he couldn't care less about the spoilt princess who wanted Yoon Ji Hoo, he wrote down her permission to sit with the F4.

"You'll begin next week."

...

"Gu Jun Pyo, I'm sorry, but you can't always get what you want by forcing someone," Yi Jeong explained.

He gave a nod.

"I guess this is my punishment for breaking Ji Hoo's robot," he lamented. "Ji Hoo didn't care about the red card stuff, but seeing how he got involved with Jan Di made me want to take her away, but her heart was with him."

Yi Jeong looked at his friend before turning to Woo Bin, who had been unusually quiet recently.

"We should get ready for Ji Hoo's birthday, which is coming up soon." Woo Bin changed the subject.

It's been a week since Ji Hoo and Jan Di made love. They knew they wanted to do it again, but they always kept themselves in check. Jan Di had a sleepover at his house earlier in the week. They'd slept in the same bed that night. Ji Hoo had cuddled her in his chest and awoke still holding her.

They had shared the bathroom that morning, but apart from kissing and showering each other, nothing had happened between them.

...

Ji Hoo and Jan Di frequently texted and left short notes for one another. They frequently met in their special spot and slept next to each other. They also usually met in the concert hall.

Ji Hoo also continued to send her various types of American dishes, as well as Chinese and Korean dishes to her home especially when they had diner outside

Jun Pyo hadn't moved on, but he was doing his best to be a good friend to both Ji Hoo and Jan Di. Everyone in the school knew Ji Hoo and Jan Di were in a relationship. Jun Pyo couldn't help but be jealous of them because they were madly in love and inseparable.

The gossip had begun subtly with the boy who had discovered them cuddling at the stairwell, but it had now spread like wildfire.

They appeared to be a married couple, according to some. Often doing things together, especially eating together and having snacks in the cafeteria.

Ji Hoo frequently gave Jan Di rides on his motorcycle. He drove her to work and returned her home on time.

The three proclaimed Shinhwa queens were envious of her attention from not only Yoon Ji Hoo but also the F4.

The F4 was now protecting Shinwha's wonder girl, particularly Gu Jun Pyo.

Yes, Ji Hoo and Jan Di's love was so perfect that they didn't notice the storm that was brewing.

"Did you know our class has a new student?" Woo Bin wondered out loud.

"And her desk is right next to Ji Hoo's," Jun Pyo said, pointing to his friend.

Ji Hoo hadn't paid attention, but now he was curious about who was so important to sit with the F4.

"Her name is..." Yi Jeong's voice trailed off as he read the name "Park Han Jae Hee" on the desk.

"Isn't she the daughter of a Korean jewelry designer?" Woo Bin questioned.

"I remember getting an invitation to their latest launch, which is called Jae Hee's Jewelry collection," Yi Jeong explained. "Ji Hoo, how about you?"

"I also got one." Ji Hoo responded and returned to his texting. "However, Jan Di and Ga Eul will be accompanying me as my guests."

"Ooo..." Woo Bin and Yi Jeong exchanged smiles. They exchanged a sinister grin before proceeding to his desk.

"How was your first time?" Yi Jeong did not mince words.

"What do you mean?" he asked innocently.

He could see where the conversation was going. He chose to play innocently because he didn't want anyone to find out what happened between him and Jan Di.

"Don't be a dam," Woo Bin advised. "We can clearly see that you two are attached to each other and that you have this strong chemistry."

"Right Ji Hoo, have you used protection, and as far as I recall, you don't have any condoms in your house," Yi Jeong teased.

He was trying different methods to get Ji Hoo to talk, but he remained unconvinced.

"And I saw her with this latest crossbody bag online, with the snow flake necklace and your mother's jade bangles," Jun Pyo added with a smile.

Yi Jeong slapped him on the back and said, "You have a good observation skill, Gu Jun Pyo."

"According to Jan Di's personality..." Woo Bin raised his head. His voice trailed off and he stroked his chin, "she isn't a material girl."

"Yes," Yi Jeong said, looking to his left. "Jun Pyo tried to impress her with makeup and everything." She turned him down, but not Ji Hoo..."

"I used my heart," he explained. "Everything I've given her has come from the bottom of my heart," he said, looking at Jun Pyo.

"So, the two of you haven't tried yet, which is unfortunate." Woo Bin commented, but received an eye roll.

"We all know you're not circumcised, which is why you keep yourself clean, and you're also more sensitive to her touch than anyone else." Yi Jeong mocked him. "Our poor wonder girl, she has no idea how nice it is to have an uncircumcised clean man like our Yoon Ji Hoo."

"Will you stop it?" Ji Hoo demanded angrily.

"...really, Sunbae?" Woo Bin addressed Yi Jeong in Jan Di's voice. He started swaying his body back and forth. When Ji Hoo was talking to her, she would usually do this.

Yi Jeong swallowed and cleared his throat. He dug his hands into his pockets and mimicked Ji Hoo's usual compliment to Jan Di.

"May I come in?" asked someone in the F4 class.

The tall and beautiful girl entered, holding the same bag Ji Hoo had purchased for Jan Di.

She gave Yi Jeong a bow, while Jun Pyo ignored her and Ji Hoo resumed texting with Jan Di.

"I'm Park Han Jae Hee, but you can call me Jae Hee."

"Oh..." Yi Jeong exchanged a look. "Am So Yi Jeong," he said, bowing.

"Song Woo Bin," he said, offering his trademark salute and a smile.

"Gu Jun Pyo," he said coldly before returning to his work.

Ji Hoo was the one who hadn't said anything because he was too busy. His friends came up to him and knocked.

"What?" He was irritated because he thought they were looking for more information from him.

Apart from his annoying friends, he hadn't noticed anyone else around.

"Yoon Ji Hoo," he said before returning to his texting.

"Your seat is over here." Woo Bin and Yi Jeong pointed to the Mahogany desk emblazoned with her name.

She thanked them and proceeded to her desk. She stood at her desk, as if waiting for the gentleman to pull the chair for her, as she had seen him do for Jan Di at the restaurant.

"Ji Hoo," he had Jun Pyo harshly whisper his name.

"What?" he asked, irritably over the edge.

Yi Jeong and Woo Bin both pointed to the right. "Chair," they all said at the same time.

"What's the deal with the chair?" he wondered. When he turned away, he saw that Jae Hee was still standing. She had that look on her that could get her anything, but it didn't work on him.

"Are you going to sit? The lecture is about to start," he said flatly.

"Right," she said as she drew her chair out. She pouted at him for being ignored.

"Ji Hoo is a tough guy." Yi Jeong said to Woo Bin.

"Yes, he's only a gentleman to our Wonder Girl," Woo Bin said quietly. They took their iPads out to prepare for the English lecture. "It's no surprise they haven't tried it yet."

"I have a feeling they already...you know," he replied quietly. He cast a glance at the new girl who was looking at Ji Hoo who didn't appear to notice him

"Although they are discrete, I'm sure they tried it," Yi Jeong said

Shinhwa Cafeteria...

"Guys, have you heard that Miss Jae Hee, the daughter of a jewelry designer, is studying with the F4" said one of the students.

"That beautiful girl, I'm sure she has her sights set on our Ji Hoo," Miranda pouted. "Ji Hoo Oppa, my Ji Hoo..." She whimpered.

"I hope he doesn't fall for her," Sunny added.

"Why would he fall for her?" Ginger sneered "He has Geum Jan Di, remember?"

...

"It's F4" someone exclaimed.

They watched the F4 walk into the cafeteria, Jan Di walking alongside Ji Hoo. Jae Hee was walking ahead of them. She felt like she belonged in this world and didn't want to leave.

She shifted her gaze behind her. Ji Hoo and Jan Di were completely immersed in their own world. She began to feel extremely envious.

'Why am I so taken with a man I've only just met?' She thought to herself as she stared at them.

Jan Di, Jae Hee, and the F4 went to the F4 cafeteria. Ji Hoo drew Jan Di's usual chair and took a seat next to her.

Jae Hee then turned to Ji Hoo, expecting him to do the same, but Yi Jeong saved the day because he knew his friend would never do something like that for a stranger.

"Woo Bin Sunbae," Jan Di said innocently. "Can you tell me what we're going to eat?"

"I'm not sure, but it appears Jun Pyo knows," he said, grinning at his friend.

Gu Jun Pyo scoffed and averted his gaze.

"Gu Jun Pyo," he says. Jan Di raised her brow at him.

"So, while others are Sunbae, I am not?" He gave her a snort. But he was still proud that she addressed him by his given name.

"Jan Di said she was going to jump off..." Jan Di put her hand over Ji Hoo's mouth. And he uttered muffled words.

"Sunbae, that's a secret," she continued to hold his mouth shut.

Jun Pyo struggled to remove her hand from Ji Hoo's mouth. He asked Ji Hoo to speak, and she wiggled her small hands. He started speaking again, but Jan Di held his mouth with another hand.

Jae Hee felt left out as he watched the trio play childishly. Woo Bin approached Jan Di and viciously tickled her. She finally gave up trying to keep her boyfriend's mouth shut. As Ji Hoo told the rest about how he caught Jan Di speaking behind their backs, she decided to tickle Woo Bin for vengeance. They laughed and asked him how he had caught Jan Di speaking.

Ji Hoo had finished the story by the time the tickle fight ended. "So you're going to jump off the roof if I call you sunbae?" Jun Pyo exclaimed, raising his brow at her.

"I...um..." she said, turning to Ji Hoo and giving him the cold shoulder.

"Jan Di-ah," he pouted as he tugged on her sleeve.

Jan Di shifted her gaze away. She crossed her arms and looked elsewhere, not wanting to hear why he spilled the secret.

"Jan Di, your favorite has arrived," Yi Jeong exclaimed joyfully, attempting to catch her attention.

'These guys act like children.'

Jan Di turned around when her favorite egg fried noodles were placed in front of her. She took out her chopsticks and began digging in her bowl. She started eating right away, with her trademark smile on her face.

"Does it taste good?" Ji Hoo inquired, grinning with the rest of the group except for Jae Hee.

"It is," she continued to eat, and then she remembered she was still mad at him.

"I'm full," she said softly as she rose from her chair and walked out with a pout.

Ji Hoo trailed her like a lost puppy looking for attention. He followed her all the way to the poolside where they first met. She was aware that Ji Hoo was tailing her.

"How come you revealed our secret to them?" Furthermore, in front of a complete stranger?" She pressed him with questions.

"I apologize, Jan Di-ah, but I thought it would be amusing to share with him and the others."

She clenched her fists.

"But what about Miss Jae Hee, I can tell she likes you," she tried to sound normal, but her tone revealed her true feelings. She averted her gaze.

Ji Hoo then approached her, tilting her chin upward. He gave her a charming smile. He then lightly rubbed her arms.

No way, Ji Hoo. That's not going to happen.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked sincerely in a cute voice that could get him anything he wanted.

Jan Di sighed. She softened and shook her head.

"Good to know, you know...I prefer it when you smile instead of frowning over frivolous things like being jealous of someone who doesn't meet my standards like you do, Mm?" he cooed, stroking her cheek with the back of his knuckles.

His touch made her knees weak, as they still did in his presence. "You're right, I suppose...," she began, but quickly lost her train of thought when he dragged her to him and leaned in. "I shouldn't...be envious of—"

And then his lips met hers, cutting her off mid-sentence.

The kiss was not rushed; it was softer, moister, and more intense. It embodied all of his feelings for her. Jan Di wrapped her arms around his neck, while he tightened his arms around her waist, intensifying the kiss.

...

Silently—Jae Hee watched from behind one of the large trees as the couple reconciled after their stupid fight. She was almost convinced they needed a private room to make out.

...

They finally broke the kiss and looked each other in the eyes. They were still holding each other, smiling and catching their breath.

"Dinner tonight?" he requested, planting soft kisses on her nose.

"We haven't spent as much time together since that week."

"I missed having you in my arms—like this," he said as he pressed her against his chest.

"By the way," she said as she wiggled her way out of his body. "Are you sure I and Ga Eul are allowed at that party?" she asked as she led him to their special bench.

"I've received two more invitations, so the two of you can come, plus there's a launch and we'll be wearing masks."

"It appears Jae Hee comes from a wealthy family," she commented blankly.

"Are you jealous?" He teased

"No," she said right away.

Jae Hee moved away from the couple. She was also unaware that the three proclaimed queens of the school were watching her. She made her way to them. "Do you have a crush on Ji Hoo sunbae?" they all asked at the same time.

She flushed pink but quickly regained her emotional balance. "What is it to you?" she retorted. When they didn't respond, she walked across them, brushing her shoulders against the two girls.

Miranda and Ginger stumbled and fell to the ground. "This girl is so rude that it's no surprise Ji Hoo sunbae didn't even look at her, even though she's pretty." Sunny made a loud remark in order for Jae Hee to hear.

Jae Hee came to a halt. She returned her attention to her and took slow steps back. "I will show you who I am," she said sweetly before smacking Sunny to the ground with a hard slap.

...

"What's that?" Jan Di wondered out loud. When she and Ji Hoo turned around, they saw Jae Hee arguing with the three girls.

Jae Hee noticed Ji Hoo and Jan Di approaching from the bench and pushed herself to the ground, holding her ankle and pretending to be in pain.

"What exactly is going on here?" Ji Hoo arrived with Jan Di. They assisted Jae Hee in standing up.

"Ouch—" she moaned softly, tightening her grip on Ji Hoo's arm. "I think I sprained my ankle; I had no idea girls here were so violent."

Ji Hoo cast a murderous glance at the nagging trio. "We didn't push her," they said sincerely, and Jan Di believed them for the first time.

Jan Di turned to face Jae Hee, who was secretly smiling triumphantly at them.

This girl is something else, she thought.

Ji Hoo was becoming deeply uncomfortable with how Jae Hee was holding him. She'd wrapped one arm around his waist and another around his stomach.

He was about to attack the three girls when Jan Di grabbed his arm and stroked it. She shook her head, effectively preventing him from attacking the trio

"Ji Hoo sunbae," Jae Hee softly called, resting her head on his chest.

He despised the fact that someone else had used that honorific. It was exclusive to Jan Di. Because of the filthy hands that were touching him, his entire body began to sweat, and he needed to shower.

Ji Hoo scooped her up in his arms and led her to the dispensary.

"We didn't push her," they explained to Jan Di.

"I believe you," she told them as she walked away with Ji Hoo to the dispensary.

Ji Hoo placed her on the bed and called up the doctor, despite the fact that he sensed something was wrong.

"What happened, young master?" the Shinhwa doctor asked as he looked at Jae Hee, who was resting on bed holding her ankle and groaning in pain

"I believe she sprained her ankle," he said.

Jan Di was looking suspiciously at Jae Hee when he turned around. "Jan Di, let's go," he said as he took her hand in his. He began to unwind right away. He would calm down whenever Jan Di was with him.

"Ji Hoo Sunbae," she said before he could leave. "Gomawo"

Ji Hoo nodded and walked away with Jan Di.

"I'm fine," Jae Hee explained to the doctor. "However, please wrap the bandage around my ankle."

"All right," the doctor said. He also gave the girl a suspicious look. He needed to inform his young master, but he would do so later.

Time passed as usual, with Jae Hee studying with the F4 and attempting to entice Ji Hoo's attention with her fabricated injury.

When Jae Hee left that evening, the doctor informed Ji Hoo about the fake injury, and Jan Di had commented on the same thing during dinner at his home.

Ji Hoo thought Jae Hee was annoying and a phony, even from the way she addressed him. When they had some free time, she would show up at the cafeteria or at his house whenever he was with Jan Di having time alone and especially when they were making out on the stairway. He started by putting a great deal of space between her and him, especially when he was teaching her how to play the guitar. He had assigned someone from his orchestra group at the art center who was an expert at playing the guitar to teach her.

She kept reminding him about the upcoming Jewelry launch on Saturday. She had asked him to be her date at the launch, but he had turned her down right away, saying he already had a date. She had scoffed when he wasn't looking, but Ji Hoo had noticed her.

Ji Hoo and Jan Di had stopped eating lunch with the rest of the group. They kept meeting on their stairwell, having breakfast and lunch there, and sometimes Ji Hoo would sneak them out and take her to her favorite noodle restaurant, or if they wanted ice cream, he would take her to buy her favorite strawberry ice cream. He'd even assist her with her shifts at the porridge shop—or sometimes keep her company for the entire shift until Ga Eul got back from her classes.

It was a typical day at the porridge shop, a mild winter day but windy, with a light mist falling outside. The old man was the only customer in the shop at the moment, and he was sitting at his usual table, munching on a plate of Samgyeopsal. Jan Di was taken aback when he requested that dish and Master agreed to make it; she had no idea Master had octopus on hand.

The elderly gentleman had become a regular at the porridge shop. He didn't come every day, but he came at least three to four times a week, usually at the same time of day, and sometimes even multiple times per day. And every time, he'd request that Master prepare a fancy dish that wasn't even on the menu, many of which Jan Di and Ga Eul had never heard of. The old grandfather still didn't seem to realize they were a porridge shop, or perhaps he did but ignored their protest about serving him porridge instead of food. He was, indeed, odd, but he was winning over the best friends. Jan Di noticed something underneath his grumpiness, something kind but a little sad.

But that didn't explain why Master kept accommodating the old man. Jan Di and Ga Eul's boss always stood up when the man walked in, and he did everything he could to impress him. When Jan Di or Ga Eul inquired about it, Master would simply change the subject or become preoccupied. The only thing he ever said to them about the old man was that they should respect him and listen to what he had to say, and once he added, 'especially you, Jan Di,' at the end.

"Why me?" she'd wondered out loud. But Master simply smiled politely, said "never mind," and went back to the kitchen.

OK..., Jan Di reasoned.

The elderly grandfather stood up after finishing his dish in silence.

He put on his coat and hat and slung his bag over his shoulder before walking toward the door.

Jan Di noticed that he hadn't brought an umbrella, and the rain was still pouring outside. So she called out to him, "Harabeoji!" and snatched a spare umbrella from its holder. The elderly gentleman turned to face her. She smiled as she approached him, holding out the umbrella to him "I see you didn't bring an umbrella with you. You are welcome to borrow this one and return it the next time."

As he accepted the umbrella, the Haraboji's lips crinkled into a genuine smile. She'd never seen him smile like that before, or at all for that matter since she met him

It made him appear less crotchety and more welcoming. Right now, he reminded her of her own grandfather on her father's side, who died when she was young...

"Every time I look at your face, I am reminded of the beautiful golden lotus that blooms in the mud," Harabeoji said, still smiling.

"Please excuse my ignorance. A golden lotus?"

He responded in even more mysterious terms. "Do you know why lotuses tend to bloom in the mud instead of blooming like regular flowers?" inquired the elderly gentleman.

Jan Di's brow furrowed. She had no idea.

"Well, that's your homework for next time!" The elderly gentleman barked. And then he was gone.

Aigoo! It kind of reminded her chemistry teacher who normally gave special attention and he behaved just as this old man. Giving her riddles that she had no idea about or doing something unexpected and then just disappearing.

But...homework…? Why should I?

Friday evening...

Yi Jeong and Jun Pyo entered the porridge shop, followed by five beautiful girls. Jan Di and Ga Eul were preparing for the evening by cleaning the tables. "Geum Jan Di," Jun Pyo said. In his arrogant tone, he asked her to come.

"What do you want, Gu Jun Pyo?" She inquired of him. She began distributing the menus on the table.

Jun Pyo approached her and gripped her wrist. He dragged her out with Ga Eul, protesting the fact that they had to work.

"Where are you taking us?" she inquired of him.

"Ji Hoo is waiting for you," he scoffed.

...

Jan Di and Ga Eul walked into the shopping mall. It was unusually empty; there were no customers aside from the workers who were ready to serve them. "That's odd," Ga Eul observed, and Jan Di nodded.

"Perhaps Gu Jun Pyo chased them away," she speculated to Ga Eul.

It was always Gu Jun Pyo's style. He turned around and sneered at her for making such a crude remark.

"Sunbae," she rushed up to Ji Hoo, who embraced her in a warm hug. Jan Di stepped away from Ji Hoo. "Why are Ga Eul and I being dragged here?"

Ji Hoo swallowed and cleared his throat. "...well, I asked them to bring you here because I couldn't make it. I was caught up in the board meeting—so the six of us need proper attire for tomorrow's event, what do you think guys?" Ji Hoo explained

"That's fine with me." The F3 agreed.

The F4 had prepared all of Ga Eul and Jan Di's evening gowns. They gave them a selection of dresses to try on in order for them to decide what to wear. They would dress up and come out to model for the F4, giving thumbs up or down. Woo Bin and Ji Hoo also chose for them different shoes with the dresses.

Ji Hoo was quietly selecting Jan Di's shoes while waiting for her to emerge. Jan Di walked into the room wearing a long white chiffon gown and sweeping the floor.

She stood in front of the F4, clasping her hands in front of her and swinging her body back and forth. Yi Jeong exchanged glances with Woo Bin before starting to act.

"Sunbae," Woo Bin said, swinging her body and looking at Yi Jeong. "How do I look, sunbae?"

Yi Jeong cleared his throat and dug his hands into his pockets, imitating Ji Hoo's voice, "...well Jan Di-ah, this dress is too long." Ji Hoo could tell he didn't like the dress as well.

Jan Di turned away from the two who were mocking her and returned to her dressing room. Ga Eul was about to leave in the same outfit, but her friend stopped her. "It's too long," she complained, dragging Ga Eul away to try on another dress.

Ga Eul was the first to appear this time. She was dressed in a pink sleeveless sweetheart mini organza princess black applique lace strapless short dress.

Woo Bin and Yi Jeong both smiled broadly at Ga Eul. They both gave her a thumbs-up, and Woo Bin gave her a pair of black platform shoes to wear. When she struggled to get into the shoes, he got down on his knees and assisted her.

She smiled shyly down at him and thanked him for his assistance.

Ga Eul then moved to the side, waiting for Jan Di to appear. Ga Eul was still angry at Yi Jeong for their previous conversation, and Yi Jeong appeared to be in pain because Woo Bin was so concerned about Ga Eul. He had even seen them smiling and talking together as if they were old friends.

Jan Di later emerged and took a position in front of everyone. When Ji Hoo and Jun Pyo noticed her, they immediately stood up. She was dressed simply in a cute tulle gown with a deep V-neckline and light pink lace applique. It had an inside bra and an open back. "How is this?" she questioned.

Ga Eul squealed and complimented her, saying she was beautiful, as Woo Bin and Yi Jeong gave thumbs up. The three turned to look at Ji Hoo and Jun Pyo. Yi Jeong slapped Jun Pyo on the back of the head to get him to stop staring.

"It's fine," Jun Pyo said calmly, his heart pounding. He kept looking at her in secret. When he turned around, Ji Hoo was still staring and smiling broadly at her. He began to feel like a third wheel in the couple's moment.

Ji Hoo approached Jan Di and stood in front of her. Jan Di felt her cheeks warm as he whispered, "You look beautiful...," just loud enough for her to hear. "But there's something missing..." Ji Hoo went to his chair and took a shoebox and another with a masquerade mask inside. He took a step behind her and tied a pink rhinestone masquerade mask around her face.

"You also need shoes." Jun Pyo went to assist her in putting the shoes on her feet, but Yi Jeong stopped him.

"He can do it himself," he said sternly.

Ji Hoo then got down on his knees and removed the shoes from the box. Her shoes complimented her outfit. They were 3-inch platform shoes with blue rhinestone hearts and pink pearls. "Wow!" she exclaimed, awestruck by the design of the shoes, "these are lovely and I feel comfortable in them."

She smiled at her boyfriend.

"Thank you very much, Ji Hoo sunbae. Jan Di looks really beautiful in the dress and the shoes," Ga Eul commented.

"...really Ga Eul" Jan Di asked, "Well, you look beautiful too," complimented her best friend.

"Ga Eul-yang doesn't have a mask," Yi Jeong pointed out. He grabbed one of the boxes and removed the had in a masquerade mask. It was a black butterfly mask. "Let me assist you," he said as he tried to put it on her.

"No thank you," she said coldly, snatching the mask from his grasp and shooting him a cold glare. "Can you help me Ji Hoo sunbae?" she asked.

"Sure," he said as he assisted her in putting it on. He wondered if Ga Eul and Yi Jeong had a fight about him and Jan Di being together, and he told his friends, "I think the girls are perfect."

"Is it our turn?" Jun Pyo exclaimed, "He went to get the black suits in his size."

Jan Di and Ga Eul changed into their regular clothes, leaving the dresses to be packed. "I wonder what will happen at the party?" she sighed.

This party has a sinister undertone to it.

"Don't worry, Jan Di-ah, we've got the F4" she giggled. She led her best friend out of the dressing room to give the guys a chance to change and decide what to wear to the party as well.

Saturday evening...

Jan Di and Ga Eul were both picked up from the salon by Ji Hoo. He had sent them to get their makeup done. He was dressed elegantly in a formal white suit. He leaned up against his car, waiting for both of the girls to emerge.

"Thank you," Jan Di and Ga Eul said to the makeup artist who assisted them with their makeup before walking out.

Ga Eul's hair was curled and didn't require any chemicals because it was long, whereas Jan Di's hair took longer. They used chemicals, hot combed it, and straightened it. It was now longer than it had been.

"Sunbae!" they both exclaimed as they approached him.

Ji Hoo's lips twitched when he saw Jan Di. It always happened.

He always smiled whenever he saw her—it was almost as if it was a reflex; those muscles just took over whenever he saw her...

"Good evening, Ji Hoo sunbae!" Jan Di and Ga Eul both exclaimed.

Ji Hoo took a moment to find his words as he looked at Jan Di—she had always looked beautiful in his eyes, especially when she wore pink. It was as if he had fallen in love for the first time. He had forgotten to respond to their greeting.

"Ji Hoo, are you okay?" she questioned, returning her gaze to Ga Eul, who was smiling silently at how Ji Hoo was gawking.

"I'm fine, Jan Di," he said after feeling her touch him. "It's just that you look stunning tonight."

"Gomawo," she said shyly, her cheeks starting to warm up.

"And you look lovely tonight," he said to Ga Eul. His gaze was drawn to Jan Di, who was swinging her body back and forth.

"Gomawo," her cheeks began to flush. It was an honor for the F4 to compliment her and her best friend, who were both ordinary girls.

Jan Di complimented him, saying, "Sunbae, you look handsome."

Ji Hoo gave her one of his rare smiles. He motioned for the girls to sit and slid into the car behind them.

F3 was already present when they arrived at a five-star hotel. Except for Jun Pyo, everyone smiled as they watched Jan Di and Ga Eul walk in on Ji Hoo's arm.

Yi Jeong and Woo Bin immediately went to Ji Hoo, Jan Di, and Ga Eul.

and greeted them Jun Pyo reluctantly walked over to join the group after a brief moment.

"You look absolutely incredible, Jan Di and Ga Eul," Yi Jeong said, smiling. Woo Bin smiled and echoed the sentiment.

Both Jan Di and Ga Eul bowed. "Yi Jeong Sunbae, Woo Bin Sunbae, Kamsahamnida..."

Woo Bin chuckled, "Oh, no need to be so formal, Jan Di, Ga Eul." Jan Di and Ga Eul nodded and smiled.

Woo Bin approached Ga Eul and offered his arm. Ga Eul quickly untied Ji Hoo's arm and laced it with Woo Bin

Yi Jeong's chest constricted. She's not really my type. He scolded himself

"Why don't we take a look around?" Ji Hoo whispered to Jan Di.

Jan Di agreed. She stood there in awe. The jewelry being launched was exquisite. She examined the diamond and emerald necklaces, earrings, and anklets.

"Wow, Ji Hoo, this is amazing!" she exclaimed.

She came across a small necklace with musical notes on it. It was definitely her style, but it appeared to be expensive. There was also an anklet nearby. "Wow," she exclaimed as she looked at them.

"Do you like it?" a deep husky voice from behind her and Ji Hoo drew their attention.

Ji Hoo was immediately on high alert. He drew Jan Di closer to him, only to notice a man his age staring at Jan Di. "And you are..." Ji Hoo asked with his gaze.

"My name is Park Han Jin-Young. Jae Hee's older brother "He clarified. He extended his hand to Jan Di, but Ji Hoo shook it.

"Yoon Ji Hoo," he introduced himself. He turned to Jan Di, who was not paying attention to them. "Her name is Geum Jan Di, and she is my girlfriend."

Jan Di extended her hand and shook Jin-hand Young's. Jin-Young almost touched his lips with her hand, but Jan Di quickly slipped it away.

Something is wrong with this night.

"Music is something my sister enjoys," Jin-Young explained. "She created this collection for girls who share her passion for music."

"Brother," Jae Hee warned quietly. "Ji Hoo sunbae!" she exclaimed with delight. She was dressed in a backless, beading pearls with lace applique diamond pink tulle Vintage custom-made princess gown with a gold rhinestone masquerade mask. Her platform shoes were white with water pearls and sparkling diamond anklets attached to her ankles.

"I thought you wouldn't come," she said quietly, reaching out to touch him.

Ji Hoo drew his arm back and took a step away from her.

'Isn't this girl overdressed for a product launch?' Something is off about this night,

"Ladies and Gentlemen," a female voice on the microphone said. "Please take your seats as we welcome you to the most extensive collection of 2022 Jae Hee Jewelry." People applauded and took their seats.

Ji Hoo wrapped his arm around Jan Di's bare back. He led her to their table, where they sat with the F4 and Ga Eul.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Jin-Young asked of her sister

"Don't worry, mom and dad have planned everything. He's not going to refuse it no matter what?" Jae Hee said, jealously looking at Jan Di.

"Do you feel like something is off tonight?" she asked quietly to the group.

"Yes," Ji Hoo said quickly, his face puzzled.

"What precisely do you mean?" Jun Pyo questioned. It was the first time he had shown interest in her since she entered the party with her arm around Ji Hoo's. She was even more stunning after she removed her mask.

"What she means," Ji Hoo began, "Jae Hee is dressed in engagement clothes," he explained. He completely ignored the people who were talking and describing the jewelry that was being launched.

The group sat for an hour as people purchased jewelry and others made appointments. Deposits are being made. Jin-Young and Jae Hee kept buzzing around the F4's table, checking to see if they needed anything.

"Ladies and Gentlemen," an elderly man said, "I would like to make another special announcement," he said, "There is some dancing going on there and some arrangements, if you are interested, please proceed to the ballroom."

Ji Hoo and the others walked or attempted to walk. Jin-Young reached out his hand to Jan Di

"May I have this dance?" he asked, a smirk on his face.

"I'm sorry," Jan Di apologized, "but I'd like to have this dance with my boyfriend," she stated firmly.

"This guy is brave," Ga Eul said to the F3. "He saw Jan Di-ah with Sunbae and wants to dance?" she scoffed

Jin-Young apologized by raising his hand. Ji Hoo gave him a cold look, and as they attempted to walk again, Jae Hee approached him.

"Ji Hoo sunbae, would you like to dance?" she asked sweetly.

"Jan Di and I are going to dance," he stated flatly.

"And I've got her second dance," Jun Pyo added flatly.

Ballroom

Ji Hoo positioned himself to take the lead in the dance.

Ji Hoo held Jan Di in his arms, one hand resting on her waist and the other clasping her hand as he led her around the dance floor in a simple box step. Jan Di and Ji Hoo's thoughts returned to their first dance as they listened to a romantic slow song.

They continued to dance while smiling. This time she wasn't stepping on him.

"May I cut in?" Jin-Young asked, but Jun Pyo drew Jan Di away before Jin-Young could. "Didn't you hear what I said?" he asked coldly, leading Jan Di away from his gaze.

...

She sighed, "Gomawo Jun Pyo." She turned around to see Jae Hee hovering over Ji Hoo, as if expecting him to request the dance.

"Are you happy, Geum Jan Di?" Jun Pyo inquired subtly.

"What precisely do you mean?" She fixed her gaze on him.

"Does Ji Hoo make you happy?" He stated this while looking ahead.

"Yes," she said, smiling. "I'm extremely happy with him."

Gu Jun Pyo simply nodded. He was touched and delighted that the woman he had ever loved was happy, even if not with him. "Good, I can tell Jae Hee wants to break you two apart," he had noticed over the week. "I will protect both you and your relationship," he said firmly.

"Thank you," she said, wrapping her arms around him.

She now knew that behind that cold heart, there was a warm, kind and gentle being. The only thing that made him behave coldly was because he didn't have parents to give him warmth and Jan Di could see every member of the F4 lacked that.

For her boyfriend, she understood it clearly since his parents died but what about the others?

She could also tell Woo Bin was a kind man and Yi Jeong was also wearing a mask but slowly Ga Eul would also unmask them like she had done with Ji Hoo and Jun Pyo.

After three months, Jun Pyo finally smiled. "OK, OK," he said giving a secret smile as he pushed her away. He led her back to where the F4 was. "So you two are friends?" Ji Hoo inquired, his face bright with delight. He was relieved that his friend and girlfriend were finally talking to each other.

"Yes," Gu Jun Pyo replied, bored. He took out a chair and motioned Jan Di to take a seat next to her best friend and boyfriend. He sat in the chair across from her.

"Ladies and Gentlemen" Mr. Park Han Jeong. The family head and grandfather of Jae Hee and Jin-Young. "As I previously stated, there will be a special announcement that we would like to share with you all."

Jae Hee arrived at her grandfather's side a few seconds later. She sat down and looked around for Ji Hoo. Jae Hee smiled brightly in his direction.

Ji Hoo turned away, irritated. "Sunbae," Jan Di softly tapped on his shoulder, "I need to use the restroom," she explained.

"I can come with you," he said, getting ready to accompany her because he was afraid she would get lost or bullied.

"No, I won't take long," she protested. "Don't worry, I'll be fine," she assured him.

"OK, give me a call if you need anything."

Ji Hoo stood there watching her walk to the ladies' room. He then noticed some people following her from behind, but since there were people moving up and down, it still scared him.

"In addition to launching the world's largest jewelry collection, I will speak about a tragedy that occurred 15 years ago in the family of an old friend."

Ji Hoo's heart beat faster.

"Do you remember our beloved former Korean President, Dr. Yoon Seok Young?" He said this while his gaze was fixed on Ji Hoo, who was sweating vigorously.

When he mentioned his family's unfortunate incident that had left him an orphan, his nightmares returned.

"Ji Hoo," his friends called him. He was emotionless. The pain had returned, and the guilt was visible in his eyes.

"What happened to Jan Di?" Yi Jeong exclaimed, "Jun Pyo, go check on her."

"OK," Jun Pyo said, and Ga Eul followed suit. They entered the restroom only to find Jan Di grasping a man by the collar. "What are you doing following me?" she demanded angrily.

"All I want to tell you is that your fairytale story has come to an end." Jin-Young said smirking at her

"What do you mean?" she asked, letting go of him.

"My sister Jae Hee and Ji Hoo are getting engaged tonight," he revealed. "Our grandparents arranged for him."

Jan Di had lost her ability to reason. She shook her head, "Impossible," she exclaimed, "stop lying to me," and grabbed his collar.

"Jan Di-ah." Ga Eul dashed over to her best friend and joined the fight as well. She pushed Jin-Young against the wall even harder. "Stop lying," she yelled at him.

"Jan Di," Jun Pyo said to the two girls who were clutching the man's collar. "Ji Hoo doesn't know that, don't believe him."

"...really Jun Pyo?" she inquired, her eyes welling up.

"Yes, I'm sure there's a reason for this."

"Yoon Seok Young and I arranged for Yoon Ji Hoo, the heir of the Yoon Empire, and my granddaughter Park Han Jae Hee to marry 15 years ago."

As two engagement rings were brought to the front, the audience began clapping.

"Impossible," Woo Bin said, his gaze fixed on Ji Hoo, who was clutching his fists even tighter.

"What about Jan Di, Ji Hoo-ah?" Yi Jeong inquired, his voice sad.

"Yoon Ji Hoo, please come up," Mr. Park requested.

Ji Hoo, like any good child, moved to the front. His eyes were cold as he looked at Jae Hee, who was smiling at him.

"I apologize, Mr. Park," Ji Hoo said, bowing, "but I already have a girlfriend."

"It doesn't matter," Mr. Park stated emphatically.

"What do you mean it doesn't matter?" Ji Hoo inquired, but despite his best efforts, his voice was filled with rage. "My parents never told me I was engaged."

Jan Di cried on the sidelines as Ji Hoo objected to the engagement. Her eyes were filled with tears. She had no idea how she and Ji Hoo were going to get out of this one.

Mr. Park hissed, "Your grandfather was the one who suggested it and also wrote the letter." "Please present the ring to Yoon Ji Hoo," his guests and the media were recording everything. Mr. Park said it again, smiling.

Ji Hoo examined the ring. His rage was boiling over for this old man who claimed to be his grandfather's friend.

Ji Hoo was about to say something to the elderly man when another voice cut him off. "When did we become friends, Park Han Jeong?"

That voice?

...

Ji Hoo slowly turned to face the owner of a familiar voice. Secretary Park was holding his old briefcase while his grandfather stood there in his black suit and glasses.

"Harabeoji?" he inquired softly.

"Harabeoji?" Jan Di and Ga Eul were taken aback when they noticed their daily grumpy customer.

"Do you know who he is?" Gu Jun Pyo questioned.

"Yes, we do," Jan Di and Ga Eul agreed.

That was the most enormous and interesting chapter. I'm hoping it made up for the time I didn't update.

To be honest, I'm not sure when I'll be able to provide you with the next chapter. For the mistakes, I will have time to collect them
