Chapter Eleven
Meanwhile…
CalSci…
Late Morning…
Charlie came into his office, as while he was helping with the case, he wanted to check in on his students work while he had the chance, as Colby told him they would be meeting later in the day to further compare notes of the case.
Charlie was relieved that he was helping the FBI again, as he felt like he had been missing something in his absence from the FBI. Sure, he met with the team from time to time and occasionally visited the FBI, like that celebration a while ago, but nothing like he had done in the past that he was working on now.
That's when it hit him that he was working a case without Don being there at the FBI for the first time, and it deeply saddened him. The thought caused him to shed a couple tears before being interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Professor Eppes?" A voice asked
"Come in." Charlie said, as he quickly took a deep breath and wiped his eyes before the student came in.
"Hey, Professor, I was wondering if you were able to help me out with a few things." The young woman said as she walked in with a heavy folder, clearly not as organized as she would like.
"Sure, Samantha, what do you need help with?" Charlie said, as he knew the student was having some trouble with a couple classes and he was pleased that she was making progress.
"A couple equations that have me stumped for some reason and I was wondering if you were able to help me out what the issue might be?" She asked
"Sure, I have the time to help you." Charlie said with a small smile, as he went to go look over the assignment, still thinking about his work with the FBI and his brother.
'Donnie, if only you could see me now.' He thought to himself with a sad smile, as he continued on his instructions with Samantha.
