He had just set the glasses down, when he heard the squeak of the opening of a drawer.

"Get the kids for dinner," Ginny requested and he didn't question why she couldn't just yell at them to come downstairs, they liked to pretend that the potions didn't exist.

The potions, that she always mixed into his food.

Every single day.

His food always had a hint of his smell but he was happily married to that blonde girl and he needed to stay for the sake of his kids and his sanity.

He went upstairs and knocked on each of his child's doors.

"Your mom says dinner's ready!" He exclaimed, and waited a few minutes by the stairs, heading down only when he heard the squeak of the drawer closing again.

She smiled at him when he reached and- he smiled back.

Picking up the other vial that was on the platform and shoving it into his pocket. For later use.

Albus and Lily came and took their seats, in front of their plates that had already been served.

They couldn't very well add the potions in front of the kids now, could they?

"JAMES!" Ginny yelled.

"Ugh," the child muttered, as he ran down and took his seat.

The dinner went smoothly after that.

After sending the kids to sleep, Ginny sighed as she sat and curled beside Harry, who was staring at the vial he had taken earlier. Antidote to Ashwinder poisoning.

"Hmm?" she asked in a non-verbal manner. He didn't like to talk much, after all.

Harry sighed. "I don't like the taste." he said.

"If you don't make me poison you every day, you wouldn't have to keep drinking the antidote you know." she whispered.

"I need those potions- please don't stop- not yet-" he pleaded.

"Then drink the antidote," she muttered, "they really need to create a recipe in which ashwinder eggs is not an ingredient."

"It's one of the main ingredients in the potion," he replied with a sigh, but gulped the potion.

He felt bad- having his wife poison him every day- but-

Amortentia was addictive and after 10 years of constant exposure, he was sure he'd go mad without it.
