If you were being honest, you were happy. Even if you knew deep down, his proposal was so very wrong.

"I don't mind. We're friends after all, right?"

He smiled at you but you didn't miss the tiny bit of doubt that was evident in his eye. He shifted around and looked down, seemingly slightly embarrassed by his earlier request. You just hoped he would take it back...

"Do you want... to be friends with benifits?"

...

You bit your lip, biting back the moans that threatened to release from your mouth, as Cloud started to pick up the pace in his movements.

Never would you have thought that you would have Cloud, in this light as soon as you entered and established friendship with him... to have Cloud in between your legs, pounding your brains out into the mattress in your tiny apartment room.

The two of you had only been friends for a brief time period, and you did like him. You liked him very much but you knew you two had only agreed to be in a "beneficial" relationship.

He moved slight with a grunt, so that his face was buried in the crook of your neck, muffling the cries of pleasure that threatened to spill from his own mouth as they did for you.

You wrapped your arms around his torso to brace yourself as his right arm wandered down to your hip to keep you steady while his free hand clung to the metal of the headboard.

You knew it was coming but it was still such a surprising surge of pleasure that went through your spine when he started to practically drill into you.

Your plans to keep your moans bottled up were quickly abandoned as you spewed out random curses along with his name.

"Cloud..."

The moment his name fell from your lips, he lost all sense of self control for himself.

His movement got sloppy, but he was still keeping his drilling pace. It felt like he was splitting you open as bad as it sounded, but it was in the best way possible. You clung onto his shoulders as you felt that familiar pit in your stomach grow that you had grown so accustomed to since you had started this secret little trade with him.

You felt your vision go blurry as you closed your eyes. You had released some time ago but the overstimulation he was giving trying to chase his own was so much that you felt you had a second one on your way.

"Damn it! (Y/n) I'm going to-" he didn't have to finish to let you know he was at his peak. He thrust into, once more rather harshly and pushed his face against your neck muffling his moan he let out.

You arched your back, your whole body tensing as your final release hit and you opened your eyes, starring at the ceiling as Cloud rested on top of you, catching his breath.

You felt his eyes on you but you refused to look at him. As good as it felt you knew it wouldn't last. You knew the reason he wanted to start the beneficial friendship with you... Tifa. God you envied her but also had to give her kudos for getting a guy like Cloud to begin with. It was almost a shame they-

"(Y/n)?"

You hadn't felt him pull away or pull out for that manner. He moved over lay on the right side of the bed from you he was looking you over with a look of slight concern. You looked away from him, reaching up to pull the sheet over your exposed chest.

"Sorry, I was thinking..." he hummed in response and shifted slightly to lay down, but he still kept his eyes on you.

"You looked mad." You rolled your eyes, annoyed with his observation. But then again you really had no right to be considering that Cloud was extremely good at reading people around him. Maybe it was due to the fact he was a non-expressive, quiet person himself. "I'm not, I was thinking about stuff about me." You said. Turning so that your back was facing him.

He let out an annoyed sound and you could practically see his eyes roll even though you weren't facing him. "Aren't you good at exsplainations. Care to elaborate more? I'm not the best at offering advice but talking can help."

You turned slightly and stared at him. "Cloud no offense, but I genuinely want to know why you care? Like I know it sounds bitchy when I put it like that but really, why?"

His exspression seemed more annoyed than before and you weren't exspecting an answer.

"Because we're friends." Was his flat response. You rolled eyes.

"Friends, right. So I just tell you everything when I have a problem I'm not comfortable talking about?"

"Yeah. So speak." You rolled your eyes again and you sat up, allowing your head to rest in your hand as you propped it up with your elbow, looking at him.

"Cloud I don't like telling you or anyone things about me especially when my feelings revolve around..." you stopped trying to figure out how to word it in a way that made some logical sense.

Cloud stared at you and through your peripheral vision you could see the mako in his eyes flare a bit.

"Well... You want to know how I'm feeling and what I'm thinking about. And I don't want to tell you because you have to do with a majority of these thoughts and it isn't bad but I just rather not ponder on it myself much yet alone leave you thinking about it. Am I making any sense?"

"Can you stop walking around the subject? Just say it." Despite how you hated being lied to or things being blown over, you wished Cloud wasn't so blunt all the time.

You sighed closing your eyes and re-opening them. Might as well tell him before he shakes it out of you...

"Cloud I like you. And I know you don't want to hear that considering we promised to be only benifital friends, but I liked you before you asked me." You turned to him to see his expression.

His eyes widened slightly and his mouth opened a bit, as if he had something to say but he closed his mouth and just stared back at you.

You decided to continue before the silence could stretch sense you had nothing else to loose at this point. "It's just now since we've been hooking up, my liking to you doesn't feel... god this is going to sound bad... I feel like before, I did have a huge crush on you to the point I'd get a little jealous-"

At this his eyes furrowed and he started to open his mouth again to say something but you shushed him.

"I told you it was going to sound bad, let me finish!" You shot him an angry look and turned away, before you could get anymore pissed.

"Oh my gosh... anyways as I was saying, I use to get a little jealous when other girls would talk to you. I always assumed you liked Tifa a lot so I was kind of pissed when you asked me to be friends with benefits with you because I thought you thought of me to be easy going so you could..." shit. You were already embarrassed to be talking about your feelings in front of him, for him at that. The last thing you wanted was to piss the ex-soldier off.

He leaned a little closer tilting his head to the side. "So I could what?" He didn't hide the slight annoyance in his voice and you shivered a bit at the proximity his lips were to your ear.

"...so you could get off until you could get with someone else..." you didn't say Tifa name but even so, it was evident who the 'someone else' was. He pulled back and you turned around grabbing his wrist as he got ready to throw the blanket off.

"I know that Cloud! Your not that kind of guy, still it confused me because of all the girls you have a close relationship with, like Jessie and Aerith, you asked me? I thought you hated my guts!"

"So then why'd you agree?" He asked pointedly, a slight glare on his face. You sighed, still holding onto his wrist but your gaze averted to the wall.

"Your telling me if your crush didn't ask you to do something like that with them, you wouldn't have accepted? I did it because of that. But now after we've done it a few times, I'm starting to realize maybe it was just an attraction..."

You turned back looking at him letting go of his wrist. He didn't move to leave but his face studied yours intently.

"Firstly, (Y/n), just like how you said you had a crush on me, is how it is with Tifa. I'm not going to ask you out just practice with someone else I could've just easily asked." You winced at the irritation in his voice and quickly muttered that you were sorry for assuming.

"Secondly, if that how you feel, than we shouldn't be doing this anymore." You shot up, making sure the blanket was covering you as he made to leave again.

"Cloud! I said I don't like you like that anymore, it was just an attraction!"

He huffed, shaking his head to the side slightly as he went to dress again.

You felt your eyes begin to sting slightly as you clenched the blankets, feeling helpless as he just... got ready to leave.

"I'm sorry (Y/n)... but-"

"But what?! We're just sleeping together! Why does it matter if I had a crush on you, your litterally going to just leave because I said I use to like you that way?!" You shouted at him as he finished putting in his coat, adjusting all his straps.

"No (Y/n) because it's more to just a crush because otherwise you wouldn't be getting this emotional with me leaving." He looked pissed, the mako in his eyes seeming more evident in his gaze as he glanced at you before going back to adjusting his straps.

"But-" he slammed his fist on the nightstand closer to his side and bring his eyes up to meet yours, glaring slightly.

No words came from the either of you as you stared at one another, holding each other's glance.

You were the first to look away, glaring at the wall in front of the foot of the bed as Clouds gaze lingered on you for a bit more before gathering the last of his things.

"I'm sorry..."

And there he left you. By yourself, under the sheets, as he slammed the door in his way out.
