"It seems like it is time for the Holy Grail War to take place again," a voice called out to something in an area consumed by darkness, a female voice. "Would you like me to help you execute your plans… Avenger?"

Within the dark void, stood two very dark figures. One is a male shrouded in shadows, while the other one is slightly more distinguishable, a young girl with long green hair, a white ribbon on top of her hair and wore a blue hat and a sun design on it. She wore a blue vest on top of her white shirt, and wore a blue dress. She lacks any legs, instead having a ghostly tail. "Caster, or rather, Mima, the last time I entrust you with plans, you failed to execute it successfully. Remember how Saber killed you even when you were supposed to be at your full power?" Avenger replied.

Mima shrugged. "It's not my fault that Saber's Noble Phantasm is the ultimate counter for me and you, Avenger," Mima replied, "But still, if it's not for Saber, we would have easily accomplished our revenge against humanity."

"I suppose you are right," Avenger said as they stood in silence within the Holy Grail, and Avenger smiled, "Very well, you and I are going to ruin this Holy Grail War and get our revenge!"

The Third Holy Grail War. The first Holy Grail War for all Masters and Servants fought under the rules established… or at least it should be until the Einzbern summoned Avenger instead of one of the standard seven classes. Avenger was a rather weak servant, being the first servant to die… though this ended up empowering Caster, who used the curses and evil remains of Avenger to empower herself, defeating most of the other servants save Saber. Saber defeated Caster, putting an end toward the alliance between Einzbern and Caster.

Sixty years have passed, and the Fourth Holy Grail War is about to begin… though no one realized that the vengeful spirit of Caster and Avenger resides within the Grail, planning their revenge. Save for one…

"Oh dear, it seems like something happening in the outside world," a female voice called out as she watched the conversation through a gap in space, "And seeing that Mima of all people is involved, it seems whatever's happening will involve Gensokyo…"

Touhou: Corruption of Holy Grail
Stage One: Chapter One: Summoning of Spirits

In an abandoned warehouse in Fuyuki, stood a stoic priest, Kirei Kotomine. The priest, who was an executioner for the Church and one of the seven masters of the Holy Grail War. The Priest was told to summon the famed Assassin, the Old Man of the Mountain, Hassan-I-Sabbath, by his teacher, Tokiomi Tohsaka. Given a catalyst by his teacher, his summoning should proceed as expected, but something else happens. Something quite unexpected…

After he finished the summoning ritual, he heard a phone ring, though there was no phone on him or anywhere in the warehouse. Confused, he turned to face something- only to discover nothing. Or so he thought. Upon paying closer attention, he noticed someone-

A young girl, with green short hair with a black hat and yellow ribbons on it. She wore a yellow shirt with blue diamonds on it, with a green skirt with flowery pattern. She has purple cords wrapped around her, with a purple ball that looks like a closed eye being the center of the cords. But Kirei noticed that even though she is smiling and her eyes shine bright, her eyes are empty… void of emotions or thoughts. He was on guard, fearing that the young girl could be some sort of enemy.

But instead, the girl greeted herself in a childish manner, "Hello, I'm Assassin! Are you my master? Let's have some fun!"

Kirei was confused by the girl. How did the summoning go wrong? He was told that as long as he has a catalyst, he can only summon the servant that the catalyst has a connection to, and the fact that apparently the Grail can only summon Hassans for the Holy Grail War. And if the girl is Assassin, who is she? He is not able to identify her to any heroes or assassins from the past.

"Yes, I am your master," Kirei replied after deciding to stop thinking too much about the current situation. What's done is done, and he needs to report what happened to his teacher after this.

"Yeah, Master!" The Servant shouted in excitement, or at least that's what it sounds like. "I look forward to having so much fun with you!"

Kirei shiver. Assassin is definitely not excited though he feels as though she is, and her smile just makes him more nervous. And the Assassin reminds him of someone… someone familiar to him. He regained his composure and said, "Assassin, I am your Master, and you will help me win the Holy Grail War."

Assassin happily smiled, before disappearing in front of Kirei's very eyes. "Let's go have fun!"

In the basement under a mansion which belongs to the Tohsaka family, the head of the said family stood in front of the summoning circle, Tokiomi Tohsaka. He had heard what happened to his student, Kirei Kotomine, and the fact that he had failed to summon Hassan. Normally he would be disappointed, but the fact that Assassin's Presence Concealment is at a ridiculously high rank would make up for it.

As long as his summoning went right, then the war was as well as won… or so he had thought. Instead of summoning Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes, with his catalyst, he instead summoned someone else. Instead of Gilgamesh that appeared from the summoning circle, it's a woman. Tohsaka cursed as he looked at the servant.

She was a woman with long silver hair, with it being braided behind her. She wore red and blue clothing, with star marks on it and strange markings on it. She also wore a nurse's cap, and wielded a bow and an arrow. "Servant, Archer," She said as she introduced herself to Tokiomi, "I'm a doctor, and I will serve you to the best of my abilities and win the Holy Grail."

"Impossible, how could my summoning go wrong?" Tokiomi said in disbelief as he looked at his servant. By summoning a servant that is not Gilgamesh, this changes everything.

"Well, I see," Tokiomi said, disappointed. However, what's done is done. He will just have to make due with the servant that is given to him. After all, Archer should be quite powerful… If only he had known…

In a hotel room somewhere in Fuyuki, stood an angry man with a scowl. He is the prestigious magus that goes by the name of Kayneth Archibald, and he isn't happy. His original catalyst was stolen by someone, so he now has to use his back up catalyst, which would summon Diarmuid Ua Dauibhne. Or at least, that's what he hopes to happen.

Rather than summoning the famed Diarmuid of Love Spot, he had ended up summoning someone else that is way different. And the fact that his plan just went to shit makes him even more furious than before. He glared at the Servant, who simply stood there watching him.

The servant is a woman with purple hair and red eyes, wearing a black fedora with a red bow with two long red ribbons sticking upward tied around it. She wore a white blouse and black skirt. She also wore a long white and red shawl covering her. "I am a Servant Lancer," the woman said as she noticed Kayneth's glare, "And it seems the Master is rather hostile toward me."

Kayneth scowled. "It seems?" He repeated what Lancer said, "Have you known what I have been through!? My original catalyst was stolen, preventing me from summoning Alexander the Great, and now I am hindered because I summoned you rather than Diarmuid!" Kayneth ranted.

"Kayneth!" His fiancee, Sola-Ui Sophira-Ri, rebuked, "Isn't it enough for you to at least summon a servant? It's not as if she is useless or anything, because she managed to become a servant,"

Kayneth sighed, while Lancer looked on. She can already tell how she might be treated by her master and his fiancee. "Anyways, Master, I will obey your command and win the Holy Grail for you, even if you are disappointed in me."

Lancer curtsied before leaving Kayneth's presence. Kayneth is angry, but now he has to come up with a different strategy in order to win the Holy Grail War… Or at least that's what he should do, but he has confidence that regardless of what servant he possessed, his plan will not fail.

In the forest in Fuyuki City, a young magus watched as he attempted to use a catalyst to summon a rather powerful servant to help him win the Holy Grail War. The catalyst which he stole from his teacher, the catalyst used to summon Alexander the Great. Waver Velvet did so in order to win the Holy Grail War and prove his worth, at the same time to get back at his teacher. And everything would be just fine had the catalyst work… which it didn't.

It was not Alexander the Great who answered the call of Waver Velvet, but rather someone else entirely. Waver was surprised when he saw his servant. He had thought that with a catalyst you were pretty much more than guaranteed to summon the servant the catalyst was meant for, but it seems summoning a servant is like a gacha.

The Servant is a young girl with short black hair. She wore a sailor shirt and white skirt with blue lines near the end. She also wore a sailor hat, and held an anchor by her side. "Hello there, I am Servant Rider," the girl replied, "But you can call me Captain! So, are you my Master?"

Waver was dumbfounded. How did he just summon some sort of seafarer as a Servant? He shudders at the thought that he may have summoned some sort of pirate as a servant, but he can't let that stop him. "Yes, I am your Master," Waver replied, regaining composure in order to look serious and competent in front of his servant.

"Great! Now, let us go somewhere near a shore and let me set up my ship, and we'll sail off to win the Holy Grail War!" Rider said as she laughed, running off toward where the ocean is.

"Hey, wait Rider! We'll not be doing sea to sea combat in the Holy Grail War!" Waver exclaimed as he chased after his servant, "Wait up!"

Within a mansion, stood an old man and a man with white hair. The old man is Zouken Matou and the other man is Kariya Matou, the latter being a Master of the Holy Grail War. Zouken Matou smiled as Kariya used the catalyst given to him and summoned a Berserker. He knew that Kariya had no chance in winning the Holy Grail War, but he gave him an opportunity to fight in the war for him in exchange for the life of Sakura.

Kariya couldn't care less about the servant he is going to summon. All he wanted was a happy life with Sakura and Aoi Tohsaka, the woman she loved. He's going to do whatever he needs to do in order to win the Holy Grail War and leave a miserable life.

Both of them watched as Kariya summoned the Servant, and Zouken for some reason felt fear upon seeing the servant that appeared before them. Fear, for despite its appearance, the Servant possessed immense power that could easily win the war.. Or even end the whole Holy Grail War.

The Servant is a young girl with blonde hair, with a ponytail to the side of her hair. She wore a red dress and red vest with a pink shirt underneath. She wore a pink cap with a red ribbon on it, and what's more peculiar is the wings behind her. There are eight crystals on a dark bony wing, each with a different color. She also held a wand.

"HAhaHaHAhaHa! I am BERSERKER! Master, Master, I wanna PLAY!" The Servant said as she laughed. "Everything BROKE so Easy! Master, let's play!"

Zouken said, "It seems like you managed to summon a rather… interesting servant, Kariya."

Kariya grunted, he doesn't care for the words of praise that his grandfather has for him. But before he could order Berserker around, Berserker faced Zouken with a smile. "Ehh, are you a Toy for me to PLAY with?" Berserker asked as she looked at Zouken with a creepy smile.

"Kariya, I believe you should take your leave by now, I have no further business with you," Zouken said, realizing that Berserker is very dangerous… too dangerous.

Kariya noticed that Zouken was afraid, but he suddenly felt drained. Could it be that Berserker is just that powerful? Kariya called out to Berserker, "Berserker, we are leaving!"

Berserker frowned as she flew away from Zouken. Kariya sighs. It seems that Berserker would be quite too much for him to handle, considering that he felt drained from supporting Berserker and her personality. "Why, I wanna PLAY with Him!" Berserker called out.

As Kariya and Berserker leave, Zouken sighed. He is safe, for now…

"Is that the fact that most of these are happening because of Mima and her ally?" a certain person asked as she watched all the summoning of Servants happening via a gap, "If residents of Gensokyo are being summoned as pieces for their plan, then I supposed I would have to interfere myself."

She turned to face the Servant she summoned herself. A man with golden hair, and bright red eyes. He wore a golden armor, and scowled at his Master. He is Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes. "Mongrel, I'll not tolerate what you did to me," Gilgamesh said, "First you stuff me into some sort of a void, then you teleport all my treasures away and slam me over with a train! I won't forget this!"

"Well, someone needs to have their ego knocked down a peg," the master replied, "And you are summoned to aid me in resolving the irregularities of the current situation."

"And why would I help you, mongrel?" Gilgamesh sneered.

"Well… I can easily transport you into a void again, and leave you in there for all of eternity, or I can just use a command spell." His Master said, "But I think it's better for you to cooperate with me rather than resisting, am I right?"

Gilgamesh scowled, but he knew that he didn't have much of an option. His master is powerful, and is the one providing him mana. Sure, he can last a while without her, but he would much rather stay to watch the Holy Grail War unfold than to disappear. "Very well, Mongrel, I will aid you, but you better not think that you have control over me!" Gilgamesh yelled. He disappeared, leaving his Master by herself.

Just what are you planning, Mima? She thought.

Author's Note:

A little rewrite of the original work… I realized that I could actually just release a longer chapter at normal intervals rather than short chapters in small intervals. That's just better for me, because of stress and whatnot. Anyways, I change some of the Servants summoned, take a guess.
