"Wanda, your children were created from your mind. They are not real." Stephen shook his head and couldn't believe that when he became the reasonable one. Wong must be laughing now.
"They are real to me!"
"No, they are not."
"They are."
Stephen sighed. "Have you ever considered making a child the conventional way?"
This time her eyes glowed red.
Stephen was alarmed but he wouldn't back down.
"No. Why would I? How?"
Stephen really wasn't ready to talk about the birds and the bees to the Scarlet Witch who could literally obliterate him with a snap of her fingers. He was a doctor but not that kind of doctor.
"Perhaps because for most people they're considered fun activities."
"No." This time, her eyes grew brighter.
Stephen took a step back involuntarily. The Cloak patted his back to encourage him or perhaps she just wanted him to step forward again to show his bravery. He wasn't too sure this time because he was too preoccupied to save America.
"Perhaps you can find White Vision and redo what you did in Westview to create your children sans taking hostage the whole town? He is still alive somewhere and he has the original Vision's memory."
Wanda teared up. "But he wouldn't be the same Viz."
"It's worth a try before you consider killing an innocent girl and obliterating the multiverses. This Viz may also love you. You deserve a second chance. Raising your children will be more fun if you have your loved ones with you."
Wanda actually stopped floating and landed back on her feet. Stephen hoped that meant a good sign but he definitely was not an expert in witches, women, or relationships in general. It was a miracle that Christine stuck with him for two years.
Wanda transformed herself into her daily clothes- a sweater and jeans. "I'll try to find Viz and see what happens. If things don't work out, I will come to kill you and take the girl in three months' time. You can't hide her anywhere because I could search through the multiverse."
Well, at least he had three months to find a way to save the girl and the multiverse. "Good luck! I hope you find your true love and also get your kids…" He considered his wording, quickly added, "...from this universe by your own way of making. I hope you can live happily with your family." He was surprised that he sincerely hoped that for her and not just a delay tactic. At least one of them could find happiness.
Wanda levitated using her hands, she turned toward Stephen and said, "Stephen, good luck! You also deserve some happiness. Perhaps you can have a family of your own. I could sense how lonely you are." She flew away.
Stephen said to himself, "Ha, I don't like kids and nobody will ever love me if they know the real me." He patted the Cloak. "I guess it's just you and me" The Cloak tried to caress his cheeks but he swatted her. "Stop that. Well, you, me and, occasionally Wong for now. At least we have three months before we all die."
Two months later, he got a postcard with no return address.
It was written "Found Viz, he also loves me. I'm pregnant with two kids now. I live in a small cottage far from neighbors and I haven't taken anyone hostage. Thank you for not letting me continue with my mistakes. Good luck with the kids and true love."
Stephen was relieved and showed the card to Wong.
"Well done, Stephen. Crisis averted. That's unusual for you."
"Hey, I saved the universe and now the multiverse more than once."
"You do this without killing yourself this time. So well done."
He couldn't think of any retort.
Wong smirked. "Good luck for the kids and true love as well."
Stephen grinned. "Wong, come on, it's just you and me against the world. You can't get rid of me that easily. True love is a fairy tale and I don't like kids."
Jokes were on him.
One week after that, he met Clea and the rest was history.
As for the kids, somehow America attached herself to him and looked up to him. He was also super protective of her and wanted her to progress well and have the best of everything in the world. That sounded like a father and daughter relationship. He should be annoyed but somehow, he didn't mind about that. A few months later, he remembered about Peter Parker and that teenage with teary eyes said that he was so happy that he finally remembered hm. Peter attached to him and he was also supportive and protective about the kid. Stephen sighed. Was he a magnet for stray teenage superheroes?
Wanda looked up from her bowl which acted like a camera and smiled.
Viz asked, "Do you see anything funny?"
She hugged Viz. "Yes. It's just Stephen Strange who denied himself of happiness because he thought he didn't deserve it finally found his happiness."
"Stephen Strange, our matchmaker?"
"Not exactly matchmaker," She shrugged and considered it. "Yeah, perhaps he is."
Viz kissed her. "I'm glad it worked out for you and him."
"Me too. I'm glad I found you."
"So am I."
Notes:
-Wanda's turn into a villain was so abrupt that I got whiplash watching it.
-I wish Donna and Stephen relationship was shown instead of her just mentioned by Stephen. I also wish that Stephen had more screen time and character arch given that it's his movie but at least he had some growths.
