CHAPTER 1

A knock was heard at the door. Raven Queen groaned as she pulled herself up from the sofa and made her way to the door.

"Raven!"

"Apple... It's been forever after since we've seen each other. What makes you think that you can just show up without any notice?" Raven raised a brow to her former classmate who stood in the doorway.

"Raven, please hear me out. Briar is asleep!"

"Like her story says..."

"Yes! But maybe, you were right. What's so fun about living a life with some destiny to fulfill?"

Raven let out a sigh when rubbing her temples. Of all the times, why would Apple now be coming to her doorstep about the things they said in their teen years?

"Look, I appreciate you telling me that I'm right, but with the Destiny Law, no one is able to have the happily ever after they want to make."

Something Apple had forgotten about. The Destiney Law forces people into their happily ever afters. Serious consequences follow if people refuse to follow the law.

"But that's why we have to do something about this!"

Raven sighed again with her cold eyes looking at Apple, you want me to send Hunter to kill you just like your story?"

"This isn't funny! I said to make your own story, not relive mine!"

"Okay, okay, but if we're going to be saving Briar, we have to bring Hunter with us."

"Hunter?"

"I've already said," Raven rolled her eyes and stepped aside from the doorway. Hunter was seen to be sitting on the sofa with his pet squirrel, Peskey, curled up on his chest.

"The more the marrier?"

"Whatever you say, let me get something better to wear."

The two, or should I say three of them ventured out to Briar's palace. The trip was very uncomfortable with the tension between the three. They hardly talked to each other. Raven found it odd how her high school decisions came back at her. And for Apple of all people to tell her that she was right all along.

For Hunter's case, he hardly talked to these girls. Surely, he was part of their story with a very minor role, but even in his teenage years, the only people he talked to were the other guys and Ashlynn.

The name repeated over and over in his head. How he missed Ashlynn. Her beautiful smile and caring heart, it's been so long since he had last seen her. The last time he did was just before she was sent away to her step sisters.

They three of them climbed and climbed up the ridiculous number of stairs the castle held. According to her story, they knew exactly where Briar would be. They made it up the last few steps to the very top. The spindle stood in the place where it would be and there was Briar. Fast asleep on the floor beside it. Rushing over to Briar as fast as they could, they realized something.

"Apple?"

"Yes, Raven?"

"Now that were here, how did you expect to wake Briar up?"

Apple stopped. Her facial expression went blank as the gears in her head stopped working. Had she forgotten how the story goes. Briar pokes her finger on the spindle and falls asleep forever! But then her prince comes to wake her up...

"Whoops..."

Raven groaned in annoyance with Apple's unplanned idea. In a time like this, it was exactly what they needed. At the highest level of the castle with their sleeping friend and no way to wake her. Within moments of desperation, a noise was heard from across the room. The three of them looked over in the same direction, then back at each other.

"You heard it to?" Hunter asked.

Raven nodded and stood up. She carefully walked over to the corner where a sheet looked as if it had been thrown over a wooden chair. With a deep breath, she pulled the sheet right of the chair. Looking down she saw a green frog.

"It's just a little frog, no need to worry guys!"

"Oh, how good it is so see such a familiar face. I have come here after I was forced into my destiny as a frog. I came to see my fair queen since I knew she would fast asleep," The frog spoke.

"Hopper? Is that you? Alright!" Hunter got up and went over to the frog.

"Oh! It looks likes the whole Snow White Fairy tale gang is all here!" The frog said has he hopped onto Hunter's shoulder.

"I guess so, but were trying to wake up Briar now! Though someone didn't think this plan through," Raven shot a glance towards Apple who was looking down.

She couldn't understand how foolish she could've been to not think this through. But then she looked at Hopper, then back down at Briar.

"Wait a minute," Apple stood up and scooped Hopper from Hunter's shoulder, "Briar needs to be wakened up with a kiss and you need to turn back into a human with a kiss," She placed the frog down beside the sleeping princess.

"Apple, I think your onto something..." Raven now became a little more relieved.

"Apple White, do you really think this would work?" The frog looked up at her as he hopped closer to Briar.

"There's a good chance!"

Hopper inhaled and looked over the beautiful woman who was laying on the floor. His frog body was right on her shoulder as he leaned over and placed a kiss on her lips. For a moment, they thought it was a lost hope, but seconds later a yellow glow surrounded the two. Hopper's body soon turned to become a man as the two were still in a kiss. The yellow glow faded and the kiss broke. Briar slowly opened and her eyes.

"What happened?" Briar said rubbing her head, "My whole body is killing me."

"Oh my stars! It really worked!" Apple cheered.

Hopper helped Briar sit up. They all were so happy that they were able to get her up. Most importantly they had two new recruits to help out and put an end to the Destiny law. Briar didn't fall asleep forever and she had the most unlikely prince that she wanted.
