Briar was caught up with everything. Her falling asleep, the Destiny Law, and Apple's new plan.
"So, what you're telling me is that you want to go hop around into every fairytale and change the script so our friends can choose what they want?" Briar looked at the three of them as they nodded, "Wicked, I'm in!"
"Hex-cilent! Now, where should we start?" Apple looked around at the small start of her rebellion.
"Well," Hopper began, "One of the reasons I came here was to ask Briar if she wanted to come to the ball with me," He held out a neatly rolled invitation.
Raven took the scroll from his hand and read through it, "The ball? As in Cinderella's story?"
Hopper nodded, "We could start from there, and if we get the chance to flip the pages on that story, maybe Ashlynn could give us another idea."
"Hopefully, but I haven't seen Ashlynn since she told me that she would fulfill her story. Who knows how she thinks of me now!" Hunter seemed nervous about seeing her again.
Though Raven didn't have the time to be dealing with such a hopeless romantic. She smacked Hunter with the back of her hand. He gave her a good glare while rubbing the side of his face.
"No one has time to listen to you simp," Raven huffed.
Ashlynn arrived back at her home, along with her evil stepsisters. Just like her story plays out, they had completely abused her. Making her do all their chores, trashing her clothes and shoes, and teasing her. It became an everything thing eventually. She wished to be back at ever after high. How she missed her freedom to express herself and not worry about waking up to hell every day.
The day came when the family received their invitation to the royal ball. The stepsisters cheered and gossiped about the whole thing. Ashlynn already knew how this would play out. She tried to look on the bright side of going to the ball, but no matter what, she just couldn't. She knew the time would come when her sisters would tear up her dress and then her fairy godmother would appear to grant everything. But then she thought about the dance with her prince. She didn't want just any prince. She longed to see Hunter once again.
It was 8:00 and the party had begun. Ashlynn had just finished getting ready with Farrah Goodfairy. Her hair was the most beautiful it has ever been and her dress sparkled in the moon's light. She was now at the royal ball, her main goal being to keep out of sight from her stepsisters.
8:45 and the "Snow-white fairy-tale gang" plus two had arrived. They quickly rushed to Apple's palace and got fancy dresses and makeup. To their surprise, there were a lot of people at this ball. Way more than they had expected. Everyone dressed the best they have ever had with big fancy dresses and neat and clean suits.
"Alright everyone, we should split up!" Apple said as the group gathered around.
"Apple," Raven sighed, "I hope you realize that this ball probably won't allow the evil queen and the huntsman here."
"Oh, right," Apple felt embarrassed as she brainstormed another plan, "Why don't you two wear those masquerade masks? I doubt anyone will notice the evil queen coming to this ball."
"I guess," Raven was handed two masks by Briar. She passed one over to Hunter and they put them on their face.
"Perfect! Now let's head in there!"
Apple led the crew inside the ball. Now before they went in, verification was required. Hopper should his invitation with his plus-one being Raven. Briar did the same with Hunter. The four had made it in and it was now Apple's turn. She showed her invitation to the white knight at the entrance of the ball.
"Do you remember me?" The white knight spoke.
Apple looked up at the knight confused, "I don't think so... who are you?"
Within those seconds, the knight removed its helmet, "I'm your princess Charming."
