Maria sat in the Bride's Room at the church the Reagan Family attended. The last few months had been a whirlwind for her. After being a widower for more than three years Danny had taken the leap back into the living. It had started with Danny taking her out to dinner for her birthday. A few weekends later Danny, Sean and Maria had driven up to the campus where Jack was attending college. And then it happened, it wasn't planned but neither of them wanted to stop. They had been to a karaoke bar and Danny had sung Maria two different but very romantic songs. Shortly after singing the second song, they left and hurried to her place. They made love twice before falling asleep and again when they woke up. Danny felt like a new man and Maria was in seventh heaven. In the office they behaved as they always did, sometimes arguing like an old married couple but once they left the house, they enjoyed being with each other. They dined out with each other, cooked together, and took turns sleeping over at each other's homes. They decided quickly they wanted to get married and with the help of the family they pulled together the wedding that Maria and Danny wanted. It would be in church but only the family and close friends would be invited. Maria's mother would walk her down the aisle, Ana would be the maid of honor for her sister and Jamie would be best man for his brother. Maria shopped for a dress with her sister and soon to be sisters-in-law. There was no bridal shower as both bride and groom had lived away from their family homes for years. At this point, Maria would be putting her furniture in storage and renting her condo with the option to buy. The home Danny bought from an old family friend would be their home for now. There was enough space for his sons to come and spend the summer as well as whenever their schools were closed.

There was a knock on the door. Ana opened the door to see Monsignor Donahue there. "Is Maria ready? The men are in place." Ana turned back to her sister.

"Yes, I'm ready. Let's get me married." Her mother and sister walked down the hall with the bride as they listened to the music being played by the organist. A woman met them outside the door to the church nave. She gave a repeat of the instructions – when the next piece of music was starting Ana was to start down the aisle. When she reached the altar, the organist would play several notes on the Trompette en Chamade that was overhead and then Maria, escorted by her mother, would walk slowly down the aisle toward her soon to be husband. Maria felt her heart starting to beat faster and was getting nervous. She watched Ana walk down the aisle. Then the notes sounded the beginning of her new life, and mother and daughter started their walk. Danny had a smile on his face a mile wide. He stepped down to the aisle and took her hand and they turned to face the priest. The service was starting, and he was the happiest man in the world.

The service proceeded exactly as they had practiced. The bride and groom exchanged rings and following the instructions of the priest, they kissed. The congregation applauded and shouted their approval of this match. They had known the couple for years and knew that they would be the perfect couple.

Just as the kiss ended, a loud female voice was heard in the back of the church. She was screaming as loud as she could, "NO, Danny, NO! I'm alive, you can't marry someone else!" As she was trying to walk down the aisle two officers stationed at the back of the church grabbed the woman and escorted her outside. She collapsed and was hysterical, but she was handcuffed and put into the back seat of an RMP. At the start of the ruckus, Frank escorted Maria's mother Carmen, and her sister, Ana, back into the sacristy along with Monsignor Donahue, Danny, and Maria. Jim, Frank's protection officer, stood guard outside the door. Two more officers appeared and joined Jim at the door. Jim directed one of them to find Jamie Reagan and have him go and identify the woman currently in the RMP. Then, he knocked on the door and entered.

"Sir, the woman is outside in an RMP. I've sent your son, Jamie, to get an ID on her, if possible. I'm going to see if it really is your daughter-in-law. There are two officers stationed outside this door as well as others scattered around the church. The people inside are getting nervous, what do you want us to do?"

"If that really is Linda in the car, have the officers move the people out the back door and tell them the reception is canceled. The family will be in touch within the next few days." After seeing Jim out of the room, he noticed that Jamie was running towards him.

"Dad, I don't know how but it sure looks like her and she knew my name. What are we going to do?"

Frank thought for a moment and turned back to the priest. "Father, we're done here today. Danny, go with your brother, I'll stay here." Danny turned to Maria and then to his father.

"Dad? What's going on?"

"Just go with Jamie, he'll explain." He watched Danny walk down the hall then closed the door. "Maria, I don't know what is going on but that disturbance you heard appears to be Linda, Danny's wife. I don't know if she really is, if this is someone's idea of a joke but right now, I'm going to go outside. Please stay here, there's two officers outside. Do whatever they say. I'll be back as quickly as I can. Frank left the room as Ana and Carmen tried to comfort Maria.

Outside, Danny opened the back door of the RMP and was amazed to see a person who appeared to be his wife who had been murdered. "Please, guys, remove the cuffs," Danny asked. He helped Linda out of the car and hugged her. They both had tears running down their cheeks. Frank saw what had happened and didn't know what to do. Danny saw him and asked Linda to wait just a moment.

"Dad, what do I do now? I've got a wife who seems to have been resurrected and one inside who needs me more than you know. What should I do?" He turned back to Linda and pulled her into his arms. This day, that should have been the happiest day in his life, has now turned into his worst nightmare.
