After that nothing happened and so the day came to an end and both Aqua and Kazuma thought that maybe just maybe they wouldn't have to worry about anything happening because of the man Kazuma fought yesterday.
As the four friends walked home they stopped at a crossroads to just look at the people from the different schools going home, each school had a different color for its uniform.
Some said that they all had different colors so that none of the students from any of the other schools could enter any other school and cause problems without being recognized.
Others thought that the uniforms were the cheapest ones that the schools could find and that was the reason why everyone wore the same uniform.
In the end, none of his mattered the group of friends were just happy to enjoy what could only be considered a peaceful day.
If only it could have stayed that way.
As Aqua walked her skirt swung left to right, as usual, she happily hummed to herself while she ignored the looks that the boys from different schools were giving her.
Normally the different schools would avoid causing problems for one another because if someone recognizes someone from another school, then the victim's school would retaliate.
Unfortunately, that rule only applied during school hours.
It wasn't unusual to hear or see a student or group of students fighting as soon as school ended or returning the next day with bruises, and if things had gone bad for them, not show up at all.
Kazuma stopped walking for a moment so that he could take the backpack off his back and began to look for the different jobs that he had written down.
He had set up a wooden board announcing that if people had odd jobs that needed to be done then all they had to do was get a clean sheet of paper and write it down.
He didn't bother to announce to anyone what the rules were, instead, he made sure that Aqua used her magic to write them on the wooden board he used.
The magic Aqua had used on the board was meant to keep all of the words from fading, and to prevent the letters from being erased or being painted over by anyone.
Because neither Kazuma nor Aqua could work full time they had fallen back in what they knew, mainly being adventurers but adventurers.
Their work wasn't as exciting as it was before, it mostly consisted of them helping someone fix a roof or clean a place that was too dangerous for the owners of said place.
It didn't take long for both Kuwabara and Ranma to find out about their work and so they asked Kazuma and Aqua for a job.
Kazuma began to look through the sheets of paper and handed the easiest ones to Kuwabara, there were only five sheets of paper but they were each different things that Kuwabara could do.
"Alright I'll see you guys tomorrow," Kuwabara said to everyone before heading to his first destination.
Kazuma immediately handed Ranma three more sheets of paper, these were more dangerous than the ones he had given to Kuwabara, and the only reason he was giving them to Ranma was because of his reputation.
Rama didn't waste any time, so as soon as he had his hands on the jobs that he needed to do for the day, he was gone.
Kazuma closed his backpack and swung it over his shoulder, there were only two sheets of paper left and they were both things that only Aqua could do.
It wasn't lost to either of them that the area that they lived in was a rather poor one, so the money that they earned wasn't much, but it was enough to help them get by, so they never had to worry about paying the bills or buying food.
Aqua and Kazuma walked until they reached the border of their side of the city and they stood in front of a hospital.
The moment they entered the hospital both Kazuma and Aqua noticed that the stressed expressions on the nurse's faces were suddenly gone and they greeted the two of them with friendly smiles on their faces.
The hospital was known by everyone as the hotel, because it wasn't a place for those that could afford proper medical care, so a lot of the people that went in never came back out.
It had been like this even before the hospital was built, but things started to change after both Kazuma and Aqua started accepting jobs posted by the nurses and doctors.
Unlike normal hospitals that have security guards keeping the patients- their loved ones and the hospital staff safe, the hotel only had a single guard whose job was to give the doctors and nurses time to run away.
One of the nurses guided Kazuma and aqua to a room large enough for several people to fit in and the two of them didn't have to wait long for their audience to arrive.
As soon as the door to the room was closed both Aqua and Kazuma began to perform magic tricks for the adults and children that had been brought in.
Kazuma used his puppetry skill to make dolls walk on their own while Aqua used her ventriloquist to make it seem as if the dolls were talking to one other.
The two of them used their skills to make the children's eyes widen as they carefully used magic in front of them.
As Aqua performed for everyone, she smiled to herself as she used her healing skills to cure whatever illnesses the adults and the children had.
If they were injured she would help them by relieving most of the pain and closing up anything that was or would soon be life-threatening.
Finally, their performance came to an end and after saying goodbye to everyone, the doctor that had placed the job on the board paid them for their performance.
The sun was already starting to set when they exited the hospital, so it was safer for them to go home and leave the next job for tomorrow.
