Chapter 2 – Treason

3 weeks passed by and everyone was still in a state of awe at what had transpired. They also grew quite curious as to whether other revelations would soon take place as they waited impatiently. Other wardens from the East, West, South and also the prince of Dorne were ordered by the king to journey to Winterfell. A representative came in the form of Oberyn Martell also known as the viper since his brother had long since acquired a gout that left him permanently disabled and confined to a wheelchair. Soon Winterfell was filled with many faces with various expressions ranging from excitement and annoyance at the delayed revelations.

Jon, Robb and Arya were all intrigued at the prospect of having the famed viper in their midst. Arya was the most excited at the fact that the females in Dorne were taught how to fight which led her to pepper the prince with questions. Lady Stark reprimanded her on many occasions but the viper insisted joyfully that it was no trouble at all as it kept him occupied from people he had no desire to mingle with. It was no secret that he had no desire to speak with Tywin and Robert who were both present and was further angered by the fact that Sir Grgor Clegane, the mountain that rode and Armory Lorch were present. Tywin at first didn't believe of the magical tale in the letter that he had received from the king to be true but when everyone at Winterfell attested it to be true, he decided to stay for a while. As the days passed he grew impatient and was further annoyed when the fat drunk king told him that he wasn't going to leave until he got to witness the events himself.

"It is almost time"

Heads turned to face the priestess named Malisandre that had ventured North with Stannis Baretheon. Many who had heard tales of the priestesses from Asshai who praised the Lord of Light were wary of her and her practices. She had been warned that her religion of burning people alive wouldn't be tolerated in Westeros in the presence of the king and would be met with a quick execution. Lord Stark grew even more wary at the way that Malisandre observed his nephew Jon as though she could see past his disguise and often prayed that her mystique arts wouldn't reveal his long held secret that could start a war. He also prayed that these revelations wouldn't also reveal the truth about Jon. To his relief and anguish, he received answers he was both expecting not expecting.

It was night time and all the candles were lighting up the great hall of Winterfell as they ate. Jon as usual wasn't allowed to attend as always and he repeated his frustrations of striking the practice dummy with his sword. He had lost count the number of times he had done this and he almost struck his leg in shock, when all of a sudden darkness blanketed everything. For a moment he thought that he had gone blind only to close his eyes in an effort to block the blinding sun that had struck him.

"What in the seven!"

Those words that expressed deep surprise coming from the usually calm Tywin Lannister brought him back to reality. His jaw dropped at what he was seeing. There weren't two castles and in fact, there weren't any castle at all. It was as though Winterfell castle had vanished from everyone's sight and judging by the way they struggled to get up, it meant that all the chairs and tables had vanished also. Everyone's jaw dropped at this.

"This didn't happen before!" King Robert bellowed angrily at the fact that his wine seemed to have vanished as well. Everyone seemed to be grumbling also in annoyance at having dropped unceremoniously to the ground only pause and look up at the new view before them. There were facing East inside a familiar forest and in its midst stood a heart tree and three people approached it from the West.

"I suppose this is it your grace." A voice came from a person dressed fully in a Septon's regalia."Yes high Septon Meynard, this is it."

Many recognized the Septon but mostly they recognized the people that walked besides them. The male was by far the most handsome man they had ever seen with an ethereal beauty that would cause all the ladies to swoon when he passed by. His silver hair was long and fell past his shoulders. His eyes were amethyst in color. He was fully dressed in high quality silks befitting a prince but in truth he looked more as a king than Robert ever could. This was Rhaegar Targaryen in his full splendor. Next to him was a young woman of surpassing loveliness. She was slim of frame with brown hair, a long face and grey eyes that resembled Arya.

"I don't know if I will ever be a good queen Rhaegar. I wasn't raised to . . ." The young female began to say looking nervous only for the prince to place both his arms on her waist and look deeply into her eyes temporarily dazzling her with his deep purple colored eyes.

"Do not doubt yourself Lynna. It is true that you are not a typical lady raised to a princess but you have possess qualities that the most famed beautiful women lack in huge quantities. You are brave, kind, loving and fiercely protective of those who cannot defend themselves. You are so much more and I truly believe that the seven kingdoms will prosper and benefit from you as its queen. I love you more than life itself and I would consider myself blessed each and every passing day with you ruling by my side as my queen. Will you take me as my lawful wife Lyanna of house Stark?"

Lyanna's eyes were filled with tears at the heartfelt truth and proposal from the prince. "I-I do Prince Rhaegar of house tagaryen."

The Septon stepped forward with long ribbon and asked for their hands. Rhaegar and Lyanna held each other's hands and allowed the high Septon to wrap them with the said ribbon before allowing them to say their vows.

"Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger. I am His and she is mine. From this day until the end of my days."

"I The High Septon Meynard do so approve of this wedding before the gods both old and new. I also accept the annulment of Prince Rhaegar's marriage to his late wife Elia according to their agreement in writing that they would only do so if he promises to allow his first born son Aegon to be his successor before the children he would have with his new wife Lyanna Stark."

They all witnessed this union with varying degrees of shock as they kissed deeply in love.

"Once you have succeeded in having your father removed from the throne, you will both be crowned as the new king and queen and Westeros and I for one couldn't be pleased more your graces."

The saw the Septon recorded the wedding in his thick note book and a moment later they all left the beautiful scenic place. Utter silence and shock followed in varying degrees. Three people in general were exceedingly furious at what they had witnessed namely the king, queen and the prince of Dorne.

"Why lyanna?" Robert whispered as angry tears obscured his vision lightly. It was clear to him and everyone that Lyanna was never kidnapped by the crown prince as he had preached to the masses. She went willingly with him as they were both clearly in love. Cersei was furious that Rhaegar didn't choose her in the end. It was twice now that she had been denied the man of her dreams and to be his queen. The mad king refused her for that Dornish whore Elia and Rhaegar denied her for that Northen bitch. She got the crown eventually in the end but the king she married desired a dead ghost. It also gave her a sicken pleasure that the woman he had desired before her didn't want anything to with him. The irony of it all made her smirk with a sadistic pleasure and seeing the anguished expression on Robert's face made her want to laugh. Good, now he knew how it felt to be rejected in favor of whores.

Oberyn Martell was also furious. Prince Rhaegar had abandoned his sister and their children for what? Some girl from the North. Elia was kind, loving and the mother of his children and he would dare disrespect her that way? Why? He felt the urge to kill someone for what Rhaegar had done. They might have signed off some papers for their annulment to happen but he didn't care for any of that. Elia loved him and his children! He suddenly felt anger towards the dead girl herself, and had she lived, he was absolutely certain that he would have murdered her himself.

Ned wasn't even aware that Lyanna and Rhaegar had married in secret. He wasn't even aware that he intended to dethrone the mad king. The war that had claimed many lives had been all for nothing. He had loathed Rhaegar in the end all for a misunderstanding? His father, Brandon and so many had died because of what? They had all but ordered her sister to marry Robert even though she had rejected it many times simply for an alliance. They had all but pushed her into the arms of the prince and they had also paid the price. The only memory of her was the boy he had declared to be his bastard. He had robbed the boy of everything and replaced it all with a meager substitute. The Prince of the realm was about to be sent off to waste away at the Wall whilst his daughter got to be queen. He had taken everything from his sister and now he was about to do the same to her only son. Ned suddenly felt sick with shame and removed himself quickly from the crowd to go and vomit somewhere away.

"It was all a lie." That was an in-escapable truth that they all couldn't escape from. No one spoke of this with the king in fear of what would happen but they murmured to themselves in silence.

"Her song will be that of ice and fire."

Ned who had returned back went pale with fear at the new scenery before him. It was the tower of joy. Rhaeger's hand was lightly rubbing Lyanna's slightly swollen womb. She was a few months pregnant and resting on a bed. No one noticed the fear etched on Ned's face but they all saw how thrilled the married couple looked at the prospect of birthing a new little child to the world. They clearly loved each other and it was perfectly clear to see. Most lords and ladies smiled sadly at this remembering how it had ended in the end.

"What if it's a boy Rheager?"

"Impossible, I feel it's a girl. Another Visenya . . .

"Yes, I know by now of your desire to re-create the love story of Aegon, Rhaenys and Visenya, but what if you are wrong? What if it's a boy?"

"I will love all my children the same way regardless of whether I am wrong or not my queen and if you are going to birth a boy, I will name him Aemon after my favorite uncle serving as a Maester at the Wall."

The scenery shifted but there were now outside the tower. Three knights stood guarding the tower.

"Who are they?" Arya demanded and gained herself a few chuckles from some of the audience. It had become apparent to them that the girl loved to fight with swords and ride horses. It brought sad memories of the similarities between Arya and her aunt.

"That's Ser Gerold Hightower, Ser Arthur Dayne and Ser Owell Whent." Ser Jaime Lannister or otherwise known as the Kingslayer answered looking sad at his brothers who had died in that war and also ashamed of failing that brotherhood by his selfish acts. Those that didn't know famed Kingsguards observed Ser Arthur and his sword dawn in wonder.

The scenery changed and there were all transplanted on a hill in the desert. There were a few trees in the surrounding area and a few Dothraki, a Westerosi Knight and a silver haired girl. "HA! Look at that, perhaps I don't need to send assassins after the Targaryen spawn, the desert itself will do all the work for me." Robert spat maliciously still angry at the revelation that the woman that he desired never once returned any affection for him. She loved that inbred prince and he felt like a fool. "Why isn't Mormont putting an end to her, he could take out those dothraki fools should they try to intervene!"

Ned Stark was beginning to wonder what had happened to his friend that he grew up with at the Eyrie and considered to be his brother. He had initially thought that leadership would have changed him for the better, but watching him now as he spoke bitterly about the death of an innocent girl who was born at the end of the rebellion. She wasn't Aery's.

Everyone watched as the tired and clearly thirsty girl brought out three dragon eggs from her tent before artfully placing them down at the edges of a ritualistically drawn up triangle which enclosed a straight line and a circle. Malisandre was the most intrigued by that symbol since she never came across it in her three hundred years of existence.

Daenerys knelt down at the middle of the straight line with two hands placed firmly on the halves of the circle and began chanting in a language that no one was familiar with (Latin).

'bestia caeli meam audiunt vociferantur clamavero ad te. Veni, inquit, et sustulit ales dracones Valaria.'

"She is hatching the dragons." Malisandre said to the disbelieving looks inside on everyone's faces. Many Targaryens who came and went tried and failed to hatch their dragons. What could an unlearned half-starved girl who spent many years on the run be capable of achieving what her ancestors had failed? Their doubts where proved to be wrong in the next minutes that followed. The sky began to darken as winds picked up. Rumbles of thunder echoed throughout the sky before three lightning bolts shot down and struck the girl but much to their shock she didn't die as they expected. Something else happened that shocked them to their core. The girl's eyes widened as she gasped only for flashes of the past and what could possibly be a dark future to pass them all.

There saw king Aery's, the mad king with a crazed look on his face sitting on the throne as he barked orders at his pyromancer. "My enemies have surrounded me from within and without! I have spent most of my time placing caches of wildfire hidden throughout the city, beneath the red keep, sept of Baelor, taverns stables and everyone's houses. Now is the time to use it.

BURN THEM ALL! BURN EVERYONE BE IT MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN! BURN THEM IN THEIR HOMES! BURN THEM IN THEIR BEDS! TYWIN CAN BE THE KING OF THE ASHES FOR ALL I CARE!"

Jamie Lannister who stood to guard the king pulled out his sword and rushed downstairs before plunging it with two hands through the pyromancer's back."BURN THEM ALL JAMIE LANNISTER! BURN THEM ALL!"

Jamie didn't take heed to the king's mad demand but opted to rush up the stairs and stopped him from trying to run away by stabbing him through his back. "BURN THEM-M A-ALL I SAY, BURN T-THEM ALL" The mad king kept saying before he died and Jamie to slit his throat.

Another flash and they were back in the tower in Dorne. A wet nurse stood next to Lyanna holding a babe wrapped in warm blankets. "It's a healthy baby boy your grace."

"THAT DRAGON SPAWN NEEDS TO DIE!" Robert bellowed.

Ned looked at the king in shock appalled by his callousness. The same look was plastered on the Northerners faces and Ser Barristan. "You cannot do this your grace, he is a part of Lyanna too! The woman that you loved!"

"SHE BETRYAYED ME FOR THAT INCESTOUS DRAGON SPAWN! I WENT TO WAR FOR HER AND THIS IS HOW SHE REPAYS ME?! BIRTHING A DRAGON SPAWN?! SHE DIES NED! SHE IS A THREAT TO MY SON'S LEGACY!" The king was beyond reasoning with.

"His grace speaks truth. The baby is a threat to Prince Joeffrey's next reign." Tywin said his view silkily as though they were speaking of the weather.

Ned Stark was kneeling outside the Sept of Baelor as he confessed to having conspired with Robert's brothers to steal king Joeffrey's crown, only for the boy to order Ser Illyn Payne to remove his head. The boy refused to listen every council he was given to exercise restraint and ended up executing the Lord of Winterfell.

The gathered crowd loved it all.

Everyone looked sickened by this and Catelyn screamed no.

Jon Snow was running up about as he helped women and children into boats as an army of dead men attacked and killed the wildlings. His sword shattered like glass as it made contact with a white walker's ice spear, all the while the night king sat on his dead horse with other white walkers besides him as he observed the scene, with uncaring cold blue eyes up the hill made up of ice.

"By the Seven!" Everyone trembled in fear at what was happening. All the stories they thought to have been lies told by wet nurses to misbehaving children concerning the dead was real. The night king was real and so were the white walkers.

"We will fight the night king together Jon Snow. We will destroy him and his army together." Daenerys Targaryen declared to the bastard of Winterfell and smiled a little at seeing him gaze upon her three dragons behind her that had all grown to rival Balerion the dread. "We have plenty of weapons needed, valyrian steel, dragon glass, the largest army the world has ever seen and of course, my children."

Jon's eyes dropped to her face and blushed at the teasing smile on her face."Your children and you are quite impressive your grace. You conquered Essos ending the slave trade and became its queen in just a short years. You made quite a lot of discoveries including the creation of Valyrian steel. Bards will be singing songs for you in many years to come."

"And they will sing for you as well king in the North, don't sell yourself short. For the first time ever in history, you were became the youngest lord commander of the night's watch and ended the feud between the wildlings or the free folk as they prefer to be called. You convinced them all to unite with the North to fight together for once as allies and they all declared you to be their king."

"Well go on then" Daenerys called from her seated position on her dragon to Jon who stood rooted on the ground as he gazed upon the green dragon. It huffed out black smoke in his face and coughed out a little.

"I've never rode a dragon before."

"Seriously Jon? Then what was it that you've been doing to me all the way from Dragon Stone to White Harbour?"

Daenery's asked biting her lip to prevent the laughter that threatened to spill at the embarrassed look that adorned his face.

"What if he doesn't want me to?" Jon said.

"If that were the case Jon, then he probably would have turned you into charcoal by now for standing in his mere presence. Now quit stalling and mount him already, he will not harm you. Trust me."

Jon scoffed before soldiering on to the side of the dragon and to his surprise it lowered its wing. He slowly maneuvered his way up and sat on its neck. "Now what?"

"Hold on to the two horns just in front of you and say sovetes once you are comfortable."

Jon did as instructed and the large dragon drew out its wings before jumping with its muscled legs and taking up to the sky. Daenerys followed moments later and before he knew it, there were flying above the clouds.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK!?"

Jon turned to face her as she flew forty feet away from her, "YOU HAVE COMPLETELY RUINED HORSES FOR ME!"

Daenerys barked with laughter and soon he followed.

The horn at Winterfell was blown. Jon and Daenerys approached the two large dragons and there all lowered their wings for them to climb. Once they were sat in their riding positions Jon turned to face her, "are you ready for this Danny?" He asked looking grimm.

She gave him a dazzling smile, "I was born ready and I don't particularly feel any shame of becoming a king slayer by killing the night king, but if you do Jon, know that you are already pardoned in advance."

Jon laughed at that jape.

They were back again in the desert. Loud chirps came out of dragon's mouths the size of cats as they ran flapping their wings towards a naked Daenerys. She opened up her arms in a welcoming gesture exposing her breasts and they all leapt on her exposed skin before she brought them back to hold them from falling to the ground. Sighing loudly she looked up to face the clouds that where dissipating to reveal the sun.

"Stay safe Jon Snow, I will see you soon." She spoke softly as a cool breeze blew in her face.

The king and Tywin glared darkly at the person in question. How was he able to ride a dragon? Tyrion had a shrewd look on his face as thoughts came and went in his mind. 'Only a dragon lord could mount a dragon as the Maester's would say. Jon was a bastard, so how was it possible for him to mount it unless. . ." His eyes widened. If he could put two and two together so quickly,

"You are Rhaegar's son!" Robert banged his hand on the table as he stood up to really glare at the now frightened looking boy. "Lord Stark, you have been committing treason by harboring a secret Targaryen in home. An enemy to the kingdom!"

"Aye, I have."

Robert's form shook with anger. "SEIZE THE DRAGON SPAWN NOW!"

Jon looked pale as the dead men that there had seen as swords were drawn.

Sorry for the short chapter. I will improve in the next.

Whose viewpoints should I focus on? It's becoming hard to write on many viewpoints. Shall we say five? You decide.

Am I portraying other characters correctly or am I lacking in that department? If so, a little help will be greatly appreciated.

'bestia caeli meam audiunt vociferantur clamavero ad te. Veni, inquit, et sustulit ales dracones Valariae.' meaning

Great beasts of the sky, hear mine cry as I call out to you. Come forth, winged dragons of Valeria.
