I saw the light fade from the sky.

When Caspian got to Aslan's Country, Susan was waiting for him. He saw a light, a different daylight from what he was used to.

On the wind I heard a sigh.

He could feel her presence as he stepped onto the other side. He could hear her breath as she stepped closer to him.

As the snowflakes cover.

Susan knew it was Caspian when she heard his breathing. The white air that surrounded them reminded her of the snow from the Long Winter.

My fallen brothers.

They wondered how long it would be before the rest of the family joined them, and how many of the family would be coming.

I will say this last goodbye.

Caspian looked at Susan, and then at himself, and saw that they were their young selves again, the age when they met each other. They embraced each other and began their afterlife.

Night is now falling.

Aslan returned to his country, after returning Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole back to England. At the mention of the name England, Susan could not help but wonder if Aslan would ever call other heroes from the other world. Heroes that she never knew.

So ends this day.

Rilian became a good king. He made the Underworld part of the Narnian Empire. His reign also came to an end, and he joined his parents in Aslan's Country, along with his sister.

The road is now calling.

Not long after Lasairfhiona had her first child, her great-great-great-grandmother Miriam passed away. Her soul was granted passage to the Heaven of the old world, where she could not wait to see the face of Great God Almighty. It was a wonder she lived that long.

And I must away.

Ivar and Kayla both passed into Aslan's Country, both wanting to not die without the other. Áedamnair became queen, and Legolas was her consort. Morwenna and Thiarnáin became the rulers of Camelot. Iarfhlaith became king of Ettinsmoor and the Wild Lands of the North, inheriting his father's axe. When Ivar and Kayla stepped into Aslan's Country, Kayla saw a little boy being held in the arms of her mother. It was her baby brother, Conall. Conláed had made it to Aslan's Country as well.

Over hill and under tree.

Peter and Adila passed on, with their children falling in love and marrying into the kingdoms of Archenland, the Labyrinth Underground, and Rohan. Their children Yemina, Malcolm, and Menna joined them in the afterlife.

Through lands where never light has shown.

Edmund and Lilliandil left the Shadowlands, with the three oldest of their children, Amalyn, Evali, and Kenoth getting married, and their youngest remained celibate. Aslan had granted their youngest Ruavanna a place in the sky as a star, just like her mother before her.

By silver streams, that run down, to the sea.

Lucy and Fíli joined the rest of the family in the afterlife, with their two children Katla and Thrace never marrying. They embraced their mother's direction of the Glistening Eastern Sea, and moved to Terebinthia.

Under cloud, beneath the stars.

Legolas knew the risk he took when he married Áedamnair. She did not want or need immortality. When she passed on, Legolas kept the promise he made to her that he would keep watch over the descendants as much as he could. When Lasairfhiona's reign was on the right foot, Legolas had to go off and defend his family, on the far side of the world.

Over snow on winter's morn.

There was a piece of his heart that was still cold, but he knew it was to be expected. As long as knew that someday, the dark lord Sauron would finally be defeated for good, he knew the cold pain was just of losing Áedamnair. He took down all kinds of monsters of evil, and made an unlikely friendship with a dwarf, something that would not happen with an elf.

I turn at last, to paths, that lead home.

The One Ring was finally destroyed, breaking the curse that was put on so many souls and bloodlines, specifically the Terebinthian bloodline, which was in so many others. After so many years, Legolas took Gimli with him to what was called The Undying Lands, also known as Aslan's Country. The cold pain in his heart went away at the sign of the love of his life, who was now immortal.

And though, where the road then takes me.

One day, a hunter threw a lion's skin into the river waters, and it ended up in the caldron pool. The lion skin was found by the ape Shift and the donkey Puzzle. Shift had puzzle wear the skin and pretend he was Aslan.

I cannot tell.

News spread throughout Narnia that Aslan had returned. Word came to King Tirian, the last king of Narnia, who was the seventh in descendant of King Rilian. Tirian was sitting under a great oak tree with his best friend and adviser, the unicorn Jewel.

We came all this way.

A dryad from a beech tree came to Tirian with word that the talking trees in the Western Wood were being cut down. The dryad then cried out in pain, and she fell down dead. Her tree, far from where she was, had been cut down.

But now comes the day.

Turns out, the trees had been cut down for logs to sell to the Calormenes, by the lion's orders. Aslan would not give such orders. The ape Shift was giving the orders, and he was giving them through Puzzle in the lion's skin.

To bid you farewell.

Calormenes had captured King Tirian, and tied him up. At one point, he cried out to the true Aslan, saying he would give himself to death in order to save Narnia. As he was tied up, his mind drifted into a dream of the Golden Age, with four more people sitting at the round table of the rulers of Narnia. Two of these people were old, full of wisdom and merry eyes. High King Peter spoke to him, but Tirian could not speak back. When he awoke, a boy and a girl were standing in front of him.

Many places I have been.

The boy and the girl untied Tirian, and they introduced themselves as Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole. At first, they thought Tirian was King Rilian, who the rescued from the Green Witch of the Underworld. Then Tirian told them he was seventh in descendant from Rilian. The three of them went on to rescue the unicorn Jewel, who had been captured by Calormenes.

Many sorrows I have seen.

After they rescue Jewel, Jill brings the donkey Puzzle to the small group. Tirian moves to kill Puzzle, but Jill is able to convince him that what has happened is not his fault. Puzzle tells the group that it was the ape Shift who made him do all this, and Tirian forgives him.

But I don't regret.

A dwarf named Poggin tells the group of a plan to hand Narnia over to the tisroc of Calormen. The Calormene god Tash comes down from the sky, on his way to Shift and the others. While Jewel was held captive, he refused to admit that the false Aslan was the real Aslan. They all choose to meet the centaur Roonwit and the army of Cair Paravel instead of revealing the false Aslan to the Narnians.

Nor will I forget.

On their way to the citadel, the group talks about the good Narnian times and the history of the country. Jill wishes that Narnia could go on forever. Farsight the Eagle comes to the group with news that hardly anyone could bear: the great Narnian citadel of Cair Paravel has fallen to the Calormenes. Roonwit the centaur has been killed and the army is nowhere to be found. Narnia is no more.

All who took that road with me.

The group decides to go back to Stable Hill, but along the way, Tirian tries to convince Eustace and Jill to go back to their world. They explain to him they do not know how to get back to England. The two children wonder what would happen in England if they died in Narnia. High King Peter had once asked the same question, when he fought against Miraz. Would they bead in England as well? Eustace remarks that it would be better than being bashed to bits by a train wreck. They remember the movement that pulled them into Narnia was a train wreck. The Narnians contemplate a life of solitude, like during the Telmarine occupation.

Night is now falling.

Once they reach Stable Hill, Ginger the evil cast passes through the doorway, and comes back out as a dumb beast and in a fit of terror. He climbs up a tree and is never seen again. A Calormene soldier named Emeth goes in next, and a figure in Calormene armour falls out, dead. Shift the ape is hurled through the doorway, and a blinding light came from inside the stable. The earth shook, and there was a very loud strange noise.

So ends this day.

Narnians come together in defense of their homeland, but very few of the beasts have moved for fear of the so-called 'Tashlan' that is in the stable. Calormene soldiers force the Narnians closer and closer to the stable, for hope that they would be devoured by whatever was in the stable.

The road is now calling.

Tirian seizes hold of the Calormene tarkhaan Rishda, and Rishda cries out to Tash in hopes that Tash would save him. Tash does appear before him, and pounces on Rishda, and he is about to slaughter what Narnians are left. Peter appears and banishes him. Peter, along with Adila, Susan and Caspian, Edmund and Lilliandil, Lucy and Fíli, Kayla and Ivar, Digory Kirke, and Polly Plummer have been sent back for a short time to help rescue Narnia for the final time.

And I must away.

Caspian and Susan bond with their fifth great-grandson, while the others head over to a grove of fruit trees where everyone fills their stomachs with the glorious fruits. Everyone asks how Digory and Polly came into Narnia, and Digory explained that they were standing on the railway platform when the train came around the bend much too fast. There was a loud screech and something had hit them, but they felt no pain, and when they woke up, they were in Narnia.

Over hill and under tree.

Tirian sees a door standing in the middle of the field everyone is in. He looks through a crack in it and sees, fire, the sky, and stars. The inside of the stable is bigger than the outside, and Lucy mentions that in the other world, a stable once held something that was bigger than the stable. Curious, Tirian asks Lucy how the others came into Narnia from Aslan's country, and she says that a Calormene soldier was standing at the door, as if he was waiting for someone to come in. She said she saw Ginger the cat run off at the sudden appearance of Tash.

Through lands where never light is shown.

Digory Kirke said it sounded almost like the Wood between the Worlds, and Polly Plummer agrees with him. Edmund explains the fates everyone tossed in, and that Tash dealt with them. The dwarves were there as well, and Lucy explained that no amount of proof would convince them that they were in the great outdoors instead of in a dark stable.

By silver streams, that run down, to the sea.

Aslan appears before everyone, and Lucy begs him to do something about the dwarves. Aslan tells her that not even he can do anything, for their prison is their own minds, and their fear of being taken in keeps them from being taken out. Dwarves were always stubborn.

To these memories I will hold.

Aslan walks to the door leading to nowhere, and shouts three times in a loud, booming voice, 'TIME!'. This wakes up Father Time, who rises to the sky like a giant among all the giants. Father Time raises a horn to his mouth, sounding the call.

With your blessing I will go.

The sky fills with shooting stars and a great starless patch forms as the stars fall to the ground. The stars in Narnia are people, and they land, falling behind Aslan and the family. Their light shines into the darkness, enabling everyone to see all of what s happening. Edmund remarks to Lilliandil that one of those stars is their daughter Ruavanna.

To turn at last, to paths, that lead home.

As everyone watches, the vegetation is eaten by lizards, dragons, and salamanders. Jill and Eustace remember seeing them sleeping in their rescue of Prince Rilian, and they were told that they would awaken when the world ends.

And though where the road then takes me.

All the people and creatures, even the ones who had previously died, gathered outside of the door, to join Aslan or otherwise. Talking Beasts become dumb beasts again if they choose not to join Aslan. The ones who refuse due to their hatred and fear of him, and their own vices vanish into his shadow, never to be seen again, to fate unknown. Kayla shed a few tears during that moment, remembering all they went through to bring about the Golden Age.

I cannot tell.

The great dragons, salamanders, and giant lizards grow old, die, and rot into skeleton structures. Then the whole world is consumed by a great flood from the Utter East, to the Utter West. Then the mountains in every location, crumble and fall into the new body of water.

We came all this way.

The water then reaches and hits the stable door, but does not pass. The sun rises, and it has become a dying red giant like the sun in the World of Charn. The moon rises and is consumed by the sun. But how far was the Utter East? Even as to the border of Aslan's Country?

But now comes the day.

Aslan orders Father Time to crush the sun like an orange, and almost immediately, the great body of water starts to become solid ice. Aslan tells Peter to close the freezing door and lock it, thus bringing an end to the World of Narnia.

To bid you farewell.

However, Aslan leads the family away from their dead world and into his country. As Aslan leads the humans into the true Narnia, he explains to Eustace, Jill, Digory, and Polly the jolt they felt upon entering Narnia. He tells them that there was a railway accident and thatthey died in the accident. Polly asks Aslan if his country is connected to Heaven, and he says that the God of her world is the God of all worlds.

I bid you all, a very fond, farewell.
