It's Amanda's Fault!
By Twisted Eternal Wolvetta
Lara was stark raving mad.
During the entirety of her expedition, she had experienced nothing but terrible luck. Discovered artefacts were ruined, tombs were already raided—she had even sprained her ankle! Her! Lady Croft! But there was always someone to blame. The name threatened to cross Lara's lips: One which she cursed on the daily. Amanda Evert.
It's all her fault!
Storming into camp, Lara kicked a box aside, fuming as she limped into her tent. She had forgotten she had sprained it… "Damn you, Amanda." Lara growled, searching for her phone. It's here somewhere… She rummaged within her belongings, soon swinging her backpack off to look inside there. Where is it?
Eventually finding it, she quickly realised it had no signal. Lifting it above her head, she impatiently sighed. Sure, her intercom always works in the middle of nowhere. God forbid when she's out in the English countryside. Wandering up the nearby hill, Lara released an angered huff when the phone's signal finally connected. 10p per minute?! Oh, who cares? Furiously typing in the number, she pressed the phone to her ear.
Meanwhile…
Mallorca
Opening her eyes, Amanda winced as the sun glared down at her. Her sunbathing has been rudely interrupted, and by the worst person imaginable… She stared at the contact information, a glare steadily forming.
"Shouldn't you answer that?" None other than Jacqueline Natla lay beside her on her own sunbathing chair. A champagne glass was casually within her hand, its stem slot between her fingers. The CEO and Atlantian never understood why Amanda cared for that obnoxious Croft so much. She caught a brief look at Amanda's phone, the contact clearly titled 'Psycho Tit Bitch'.
"Amanda! How dare you?!"
Natla's eyebrows lifted, watching as Amanda pulled the phone from herself with discomfort and evident anger. "How dare I?! Go dig yourself a hole, you idiot!" The line was broken before she could do it herself. Staring at it speechlessly, Amanda screamed out in frustration. "I hate her!"
"There is one thing Lara will never have…" Natla pincered her champagne's umbrella between her fingers. She was only offered a bemused stare by Amanda, and smiled.
"Well? What?"
A/N: Pretty sure that Lara was a sociopath all through Legend and Underworld. Anyway, I replayed both games recently. I was reminded how insane Lara, Amanda and Natla's relationship is. I can't be the only one who saw the sexual tension?
