The knowledge that Spock's sister was onboard spread quickly through the Enterprise as it only could in that situation. Members of the crew thought of different excuses to be where they heard she was in order to see the mysterious woman. The object of their curiosity showed no sign of noticing as such behavior was illogical.

When they arrived in the science section Spock left the trio to set up their equipment and start the study of the scans taken of the site. The rest of the day passed quickly until it was night, and time for the evening meal. Dr Tarak knew how to get Jones away from his work. Otherwise he would have stayed at his seat until he fell asleep in place.

Entering the recreation room T'nela got her pile of salad and went to join Spock where he was playing chess with his Captain. Standing behind the chair next to her brothers, "May I join you?"

Kirk smiled, "Of course T'nela." As she settled herself, "I would have thought that to be a human phrase."

With the grace of a Vulcan she inclined her head, "It is something I picked up in my time on earth." Looking at the game she watched as it progressed while quietly eating her salad and speaking only when addressed. This gave Kirk time to notice other things the siblings had in common such as eye shape, the height of their ears, and the triangles their faces were built on.

When T'nela finished her meal she put the tray away but returned and set her fingertips together the same as Spock. Although that could be a Vulcan motion. Jim Kirk looked over at the door to see Scotty entering and coming over to them. T'nela must have made him extremely curious to leave his engines, "Spock," leaning over the Vulcan the Scotsman smiled at the young woman, "is this the lassie you've hidden from us."

Raising her eyebrow, "To assume my brother has hidden me is illogical." Either unaware of the interest she was drawing or deciding not to acknowledge it, "The fact you have remained unaware of my existence when I work with Star Fleet Academy is hardly his doing."

Jim was unable to resist a chuckle at this statement however Spock turned to his sister, "Yes, your paper on the Celtic Druids of Mr. Scots homeland was most fascinating."

Bowing her head, "Thank you brother." Raising her head again, "The Guardian of Forever was most helpful with some of the questions held by many for generations."

"Indeed?" Turning completely to her, "How so?"

"By studying its power output, showing distinct images was quite different than the entirety of a planet's history." Only the two Vulcans heard the strangled sound from Jim Kirk, "It was only a logical step in the study of such a device."

"Is this a paper you are working on?" Spock inquired.

"No brother," T'nela answered. "The Guardian is still confidential." Looking at him with those bright eyes only Spock saw the flash of uncertainty, "However you were one of the ones who discovered it, so it is only logical to inform you of the progress made."

Bowing his head, "Indeed." Inclining to indicate those around them, "Yet this may not be the proper setting for such discussions."

In was T'nelas turn to bow her head, "Yes brother."

By this time Kirk was composed enough to enter the discussion again, "Why don't you tell Mr. Scott more about the Celtic Druids?" Seeing his engineer watching the young Vulcan, "I'm sure he'll be happy to discuss Scotland."

Scotty leaned forward, "Did you see the highlands lassie?"

T'nela gave an inclination of her head, "Indeed." Looking into his eyes, "While there I climbed the Cairn Gorm mountain." With this their conversation was set off leaving Kirk sat back to watch Spock as he interacted with his sister and added his own observations.
