I don't own One Punch Man nor do I own Kung Fu Panda. These two separate franchises belongs to each of their respective owners. Note that this is a complete revision of my One Punch Panda story, because the previous version sucked balls.

Anyway, ENJOY!

The Valley of Peace...

He didn't know how long he has stared at the extended staircase leading to the enormous Jade Palace, located among the clouds, as if it was the residing place of the gods itself.

He wished to be there, to be at equal stands with his idols, to fight alongside them. But he couldn't. Who was he, anyway? Just an irrelevant Panda residing inside a small noodle shop.

Being rejected by the masters was...heart wrenching. He expected them to take him in, but of course, who was he to expect such a grandeur delusion?

Po hung his shoulders low, letting his hands hung freely below his waist, as he somberly moved his feet back to where he belongs.

Mr. Ping's noodle shop.

The place where he had to be himself every single day. It wouldn't hurt a little to just break a few bones, right? Learning how to be the person he dreamed to become..

It's better than being pretty much himself everyday. As the sun dawned on the west, the Panda reached his destination. The place he had always called his home.

"Eh, what can I do.." Po said to himself in defeat, "Just gotta let the river flow, I guess.. it's no use fighting against the stream current."

Suddenly, a scream was heard from near the street. He perked his eyes to the side, squinting his eyes to search for the source that asked for help.

It sounded like a child. He had to come immediately and help.

Po rushed immediately to the place where the scream originated. To his horror, a muscular crab figure protruding above a bunny child appeared at the corner of the alleyway.

"Kuku-kuku..you think screaming would help you, little brat?! Just so you know, the markers you left on my nipples are completely irreversible!" The crab monster screamed, "YOU LITTLE SHIT!"

"Hey, hey," Po stepped forward, "Will it hurt you if you just..calm down for a sec."

"Calm down?! This mongrel ruined my perfectly preserved muscular body!" The crab monster screamed, "How am I supposed to live down my life knowing that I've been outsmarted by an insignificant brat?!"

Po clenched his fists, "That's what got you worked up for? A harmless prank?"

"Uh-huh, you got a problem with that, soccer belly?" The crab raised his brow.

"I do, actually." Po stepped forward again, reaching the place where he stood in front of the bunny.

The crab monster laughed uncontrollably, as he spoke, "I can't believe it..YOU?! A Panda? I thought your kind died like ages ago."

Po only stood there, unamused, although the fear was still there. He couldn't just beat him up. He had to do something strategic.

If only he had the skills of a Kung Fu Master...

Then he looked back at the crying bunny behind him. Looked at how helpless she is...

She needed a hero.

A hero?

Maybe A Kung Fu Master isn't always what someone needs. A hero. That's right.

Deciding to stop beating a dead horse, he lifted his fist forward, "Bring it on."

"Fine by me." The crab monster said, "But don't whine to my ears once you get a bone or two snapped like a twig."

The Panda braced himself for the impact, only to get his face pummeled from each side, as blood began to profusely stream out of his nose.

An idea came to his mind, as the monster delivered his final blow.

Po jumped over his arms, before grabbing a piece of clothing in a clothesline near them, using the middle part to trap one of the eyes of the monster.

Blood began to stream out of the anomaly creature's eyes, the ground tarnished by his bodily matter. Po felt himself satisfied, as he landed neatly on the ground, breathing heavily.

His eyes burned with determination, his fists clenched tightly. From this day onward, he will become a hero. A hero that can end every single one of his fights...

With only One Punch.

...

Mr. Ping cleaned the remaining dishes, as he used the towel to wipe each of the wet ones, before placing them back in the dishing cabinet.

As the goose closed it, he reached the outer side of his restaurant, preparing to close it for the day.

Where was Po, anyway? He hasn't been home since the day. He knew his son was such a big Kung Fu fan, but he couldn't help but worry a little.

Wasn't he supposed to be the one to carry out his legacy as a noodle restaurant owner?

As he cleaned the tables in front of the kitchen, Po suddenly entered, "Hi dad." He greeted.

"Po!" Mr. Ping rushed to him, hugging him in the protruding curvature surface of his belly.

As the goose pulled himself away, he said, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah..I just..have a new goal in my mind." Po replied.

"And what goal might that be?" Mr. Ping asked in a gleeful tone.

"I..." Po hesitated for a second, before continuing, "I just want to be something else entirely different than being a noodle shop waiter, ya know?"

"Oh.." Mr. Ping deflated immediately, looking away, "I understand.."

"But I'll still be here. I just need to think a little, decide what I should be." Po said, before going up the stairs, back into his room.

As he entered the cramped area, he looked around at his collection of action figures, varying from every Kung Fu Masters in the entirety of China, including the furious five.

God, he loved them, like, as an actual fan, of course.

Then, he looked at a portrait that he had drawn. A painting of him standing side by side with the furious five, with him in the middle. The Panda in the portrait was very different. He looked mysterious, his brown robe and flowing cape symbolises his magnificence, his elegance, and how the furious five would bow before him out of respect for his unmatched skills.

Legend tells of a legendary warrior.

3 Years Later...

Citizens all over the valley ran out of their urge to survive, fleeing the area where the smokes were rampant, the scent of death closing by.

As the smoke obscured the view of the soaring sun, a purple figure arose out of the smoke, revealing the defeated form of the ten Kung Fu Masters.

Consistent and intensified fear were ignited within the hearts of the valley's inhabitants, seeing as to how their saviours were easily manhandled, as if they were just a mere passing fly.

"Is this the best that this rotten, insignificant place could offer me!? How disappointing! I was expecting more from the place where greatest Kung Fu warriors to ever exist in China resides!" The muscular monster with the outlandish antenna protruding over his head spoke with his profounding arrogance.

"Who else is left to challenge me?! I have waited ten thousand years to be freed from my slumber, yet the only thing that could give me a bit of a fight is a bunch of frail, incompetent Kung Fu fighters!" The purple monster yelled again, "The Furious Five is yet to be seen! What about Shifu? Oogway?" He barked a relentless laughter.

A child was seen grieving over the defeat of her idols. The pig youngster stepped forward, clenching her fists..

"A brave youngling, I see." The monster smiled maliciously, "It would be more satisfying if I just-"

Suddenly, a breeze of wind swiped through his solid skin, as a gust of smoke formed inches away from him.

As the smoke cleared, a slightly thin, yet muscular figure made their appearance, holding over the child with his gentle arms, cradling her.

The mysterious figure's attire consisted of a long brown cape, wearing a slightly mix of golden and brown robe. A cone hat was seen above his head, hiding the view of his true face.

"Who you might be, stranger?" The monster asked.

The figure's lips bended upwards, forming an excited smirk, before turning his attention to the monster, his arms folded, "Just a Panda who's a hero for fun."

"A- a Panda? One that is a hero for fun, that is!? Is this another jest that the universe attempts to make in order to get a good laugh out of me?!" The monster shook his head, "You insolent, repulsive creature! You dare mock the apostle of this world by presenting such a inane resolve in front of me!? Then again, what more could be expected from a filthy Pan-"

A fist headed straight towards his abdomen, as his body blew to pieces, the shockwave produced by his fist caused the smoke to instantly disperse away.

Green blood began to tarnish the street, leaving only the Panda standing alone in the middle of the crater.

The Panda must've been feeling triumphant, seeing how he effortlessly defeated the villain with little to no effort. But..

It was the opposite, actually.

His feet began to gradually bend, before collapsing entirely to the floor, as he defeatedly stared at the floor with his fist clenched tightly, "No..not again...all it took was one punch! DAMMIIIIIIIIITTTTT!!!!" His screams echoed to the sky, causing the onlooking geese over the chinese-like architectures to fly away in agitation.

...

Po lost the track of time as he walked down the messy streets of the valley. The sun was setting, indicating that the night is about to dawn.

He wasn't sure how his day would went. For the past three years, being a hero..

Is just as boring as his previous life as a restaurant waiter. His dad died two years ago because of a contact with an unknown disease. Something that he couldn't have prevented, even as a hero.

Now he was all alone, his resolve empty, wandering the valley around aimlessly with no real goal.

The Panda halted, as he raised his head upwards. The Jada Palace. The residing place of the gods he once idolised. Now, they are nothing more than a multitudes of ants in front of the power that he mysteriously acquired.

A perfect substitute for his dreams of being a Kung Fu Master, but in his eyes, it was no substitute. It was a curse. He was subjected to a life of boredom. His emotions were barely reaching the surface.

Fear, joy, anger, sadness...

He barely felt any of them. Once, he thought that he would feel the thrill of a fight once he became a hero. Of course, the safety and the welfare of the innocents should be his priority but..

He liked fighting. Fighting was like a pastime for him.

But now, everytime he fights, he comes home unharmed, defeating his assailants with no effort exerted, just a single thrust of his fist, and it all ends instantenously.

"Man, if only I just..pushed to achieve my dreams back then." Po let out a long-suffering sigh, as he entered his house, which used to be a place where his father's restaurant took business in.

Now, it was nothing more than an empty, cramped place that he has grown to call a living hell.

"Time to get some shut-eye." Po said, as he let out a yawn. He entered his room, undressing himself, wearing nothing more than his old pants, before finally closing his eyes.

...The Next Morning, Jade Palace.

"Master Oogway.." Shifu took a deep breath, closing his eyes, "You summoned me..is something wrong?"

Oogway got himself down from his staff, "Seeing an old friend doesn't mean that something is wrong, does it?" He said as he grabbed his staff, walking towards the hordes of candles surrounding the Moon Pool.

"Nothing's wrong, then?" Shifu asked.

"I didn't say that either." Oogway's expression remained soft, as he slowly blew the candles around him.

Shifu's patience were growing thin as his master continues to do this, before delivering a double palm strike to blow all of the candles simultaneously.

"Were you saying?"

"...I sense a powerful presence lurking in the shadows," Oogway said, "A mighty warrior, incapable of tasting defeat, burdened with the feeling of little to no satisfaction."

"A powerful presence, Master?" Shifu asked.

"Yes. I have sensed it for a long time, actually, three years." Oogway said.

"If this powerful presence has existed since three years ago, then why have I not heard of him?" Shifu asked.

"It's simply because he wishes to stay out of the limelight." Oogway replied, "Though powerful, the art of Kung Fu is absent from the way he fights."

"What do you plan to do with him, Master?"

Oogway lifted his head upwards, "The answer is clear, Shifu."

"The Dragon Scroll?"

"It is time." Oogway replied.

"You plan to take this..powerful presence in and make him into the Dragon Warrior?" Shifu asked, "Are my students not good enough, Master?"

"Who knows? It matters not what my decision is. Let the universe move in it's own flow, with no interference." Oogway replied.

Po's household..

Po was abruptly woken up by a knock to his door. He yawned, before yelling, "Screw off, traders!"

He shifted to the side, wrapping himself in his blanket.

The knock was louder this time.

Dammit, let's just..

Po stood up, going down the stairs, before opening the door with all his might, causing it to be removed promptly from it's place due to his tremendous strength.

Ignoring the inconvenience, Po said, "Look, what the hell do you want?"

"The Jade Palace masters are arranging a tournament to choose the Dragon Warrior today. I'm here to ask if you have the slightest interest-" The goose was interrupted.

Po shook his head, "Not interested."

"I haven't even finished."

"And I'm not interested. What's it to you, anyway?" Po asked with his arms folded.

"You're looking a bit thin right there for a Panda. Aren't your kind supposed to be fat? I've seen you around here, and good grief, you're the thinnest Panda I've ever seen. Maybe you're depressed, need some entertainment, and-"

Po immediately slammed the door shut, despite it being broken.

But it was to no avail, of course. The door fell over to the ground, revealing the unamused expression of the goose, "That was rude."

"Listen closely, you dinosaur defect, unless you have some free food, then I'm not interested, or unless you can offer me some discount coupons for-"

"This event offers a couple of free dumplings, no payment required!" The goose interrupted, causing the Panda to get lost in his own thoughts.

"Uh, wait, does that count as free food?" The goose asked.

"Can I jump over the stairways?" Po immediately asked, ignoring the goose's questions.

"You should, because the event is ending soon. You wouldn't get the chance to get the free dumplings if you're late." The goose shrugged.

Po's mouth was wide open, before he disappeared in a flash, the gust of wind breezing through the goose's tender feathers.

"Aaaand he's gone."

...

"I sense the Dragon Warrior is among us.." Oogway declared softly to Shifu, to which he replied by a simple nod, before gesturing for the five to gather themselves at the center.

"Citizens of the valley of peace! Master Oogway will now choose the Dragon Warrior!" Shifu announced, causing the heartbeats of the audience to race faster than before.

Oogway took a step forward, slowly, but surely, descending from the stairs, as the furious five solemnly looked at the Grandmaster in anticipation.

As Oogway grew closer to the center of the arena, his fingers lifted slowly, pointing at the one everyone thought would be the place where Tigress was standing.

But-

"FREE DUMPLINGS!" A shout was heard from the sky above. The figure coincidentally landed in front of Oogway, slowly rising out of the crater he caused below him.

He rubbed his head, "Um, I didn't cause too much damage, did I? I just, well, I heard there was free food in this event and so I-"

Po cut himself off short when he noticed the Tortoise's shaking index finger pointing at his direction.

"Uh, what are you doing?" Po asked in confusion.

He looked around him, only to see the collective shocked expressions emanating from the audience, including the masters of the Jade Palace themselves.

Po widened his eyes, before turning his attention back to the Grandmaster, "Du- dude, are all of you really trying to make me pay? Come on, I can't even afford a-"

"Dragon Warrior." Oogway interrupted the Panda, smiling softly as he did.

"Dragon's what?"

"The Universe," Oogway declared to the audience as he lifted the Panda's right hand with his staff, "has brought us the Dragon Warrior!"

"Eh?" Po uttered in bewilderment, as everyone shouted 'What?!' in shock.
