Best Treatment for Injuries
"Come on, don't be a baby." Nobara liked Maki, in fact she was in love with her. Not that she told her that yet but that didn't mean she would bet herself be treated like she as helpless.
"I'm fine Maki. I can undress myself." Even as she said that she winced at the burst of pain in her ribs.
It didn't go unnoticed, "Doubtful. Now sit down and let me to this. You're tough but that doesn't mean I don't want to help you when you're clearly in pain. What were you thinking anyway, charging in like that? I swear you and Yuuji are more and more alike every day, it's getting a little scary." Nobara grumbled in disagreement and pouted as she sat on the bed.
Maki smiled and sighed at her friend's antics. She unbuttered Nobara's jacket button by button. Nobara wanted to shrug it off quickly, wanted to get this over with before she did something dumb.
The jacked was slowly slid down her shoulders and set aside like a precious gem, even though it was burned and torn in places.
When Maki's fingers slid under her shirt Nobara flinched, "I'm sorry. Did that hurt you?" Nobara shook her head. It didn't Maki's touch felt good, it always felt good, electric, exciting.
"It's fine." She gulped as Maki nodded and started lifting her shirt, exposing her toned stomach and more.
"Can you lift your hands for me? Slowly?" Maki looked her in the eye, making sure she was still ok.
"Y-Yeah. No problem." What the hell was wrong with her? Nobara was never flustered, not like this.
As her shirt was hiked further up and lifted over her head sharp pain spread across her body. She bit the inside of her cheek to stifle a pained groan. Maki winced at the sight of her bruised, black and purple ribs.
"It's not as bad as it looks. I've had worse." Maki narrowed her eyes and poked Nobara in the ribs, "Ouch! Hey!"
"I believe I proved my point." Maki smirked in victory as she went to get the bandages. "Hold still for me, alright." She spoke softly as she started wrapping her up. Nobara's head swam with all sorts of thoughts, Maki's touch made her skin burn in the best way possible, the way she was focused, careful, mindful of Nobara's injuries as much as she could. If this was the treatment she got Nobara wouldn't mind getting hurt more, "There, all done."
Nobara blinked. Already? How long was she staring? Her face grew hot.
"You alright Nobara? Your face is red. Do you have a fever?" Maki brushed Nobara's hair off her forehead and leaned in, "Hmm... you do feel a little..."
"Hot." Nobara panted, her eyes hlaf-lid as she looked down at Maki's lips. She was so close, way too close. "I mean uh... I'm a little warm, yeah. I'll be ok after a nap though. I always am."
"No, that's Yuuji, you don't have anything near his healing factor." Maki was teased her, "But you have the same stubbornness, which might count for something."
Nobara watched Maki's lips curl into a smile. Damn it why did they have to look so soft?
"Might heal faster if you kiss it." She blurted out before she could stop herself. Maki's eyebrows shot up, a small blush appearing on her face, nowhere near the full faced one that Nobara currently had. This had to be her fever talking, she felt so embarrassed.
She was really surprised when Maki smiled again, chuckled and shook her head, and even more surprised when she leaned in and kissed the spot she just bandaged up. Nobara gasped, even though the bandage, she could still feel the warmth of Maki's lips. "Hope this makes it all better. You big baby."
Nobara nodded her head quickly, "It's working. I think." It wasn't. But right now Nobara could be tossed into a mountain and feel invincible.
"And one for your fever as well." Maki leaned up to kiss Nobara's forehead. She had to bite her lip to stifle a moan as Maki's lips made contact with her bare skin. "Now take that nap. I'll be here if you need anything else." She felt Maki's hands on her shoulders, slowly pushing her down on the bed and covering her with a blanket.
A hand cupped her cheek for a moment and the last think Nobara saw before drifting to sleep was Maki's comforting smile. It was also the first thing she saw upon waking up.
