"Jarl Ulfric, he's just a boy, no older than my own nephew. Let me have a courier take him to my sisters mill in Riverwood." I ask the blonde Jarl of Windhelm after one of the other soldiers set the youth on my bedroll. "No Ralof, who is to say the Empire didn't send him to spy on us. He goes to the dungeons back in Windhelm. I'll not take the risk of him being a spy." Ulfric replies. I merely sigh, and a few days later, the boy still hasn't awoken when the camp is raided by Imperial soldiers. "They all go to Helgen, the boy as well. Bind and gag the murderer, but leave the boy unbound." The captain says. We're all loaded into carts a day later, the boy still unconscious until we near Helgen. "Finally awake are we boy? You've been out for a few days now." I ask the youth. "Shut up back there, no talking prisoners." The cart driver snarls. The boy flinches slightly, causing his hands to light up with a blue glow signifying Magicka use. In Helgen, we're all loaded off the block, when Hadvar, an old childhood friend reads off names. "You there, where are you from?" He asks the boy. "I'm Fen, sir, of Winterhold." The boy answers softly. "Captain, he isn't on the list, and he's barely old enough to even fight. What should I do?" Hadvar asks the Imperial captain. "He goes to the block anyway." The captain orders. Hadvar apologizes to the teen, before gently guiding the teen to the block. The priestess starts their chant to the Divines, before Geimer tells her to stop and takes his position at the block. Not more than ten minutes later, the teen is forced to his knees, when a black shape darts out of the clouds. The boy is nearly hit by a falling rock when the dragon of all things lands on top of the keep. Grabbing the boy off the ground, I drag him behind me to one of the archers' towers, which is soon broken, and get him to jump onto the nearby building. "Follow Hadvar, the soldier that spoke for you, to the keep. He'll keep you safer than I can." I tell the boy. He's quick to listen, and before I make my own way to Helgen Keep, he helps pull Haming, one of the village boys from the path of the dragons' flames.
