Prologue I: Atmospherical Wave — Entering the Fish Lover's Lair?

The crimson red color emitted into the night sky. People soon fell asleep in Adventure City, fantasizing about the miracles and adventurous possibilities they can accomplish. Lady Goodway — the "mayor" of this place, opened Adventure City to protect the monstrous beings called Behemoths. A Behemoth is a monster that is created by humans when they eat innocent souls. It isn't pretty at all. People would pray that they wouldn't be the freak's next meal; some would survive, others—just like tonight—wouldn't be so lucky.

CLICK! CLICK! CLICK!

The sound of a woman's heels compressed the ground in a repeated action. The quietness of the city increased constantly as she continued to walk along the cemented ground. Unknowingly, a strange figure appeared in the woman's shadow depicted on the wall behind her. As she continued walking, her phone dropped out of her pocket.

"Ah, man. This is the 4th time this week this has happened," groaned the woman. As she reached down to pick up her phone, a large shadow figure behind her struck her body with fear. She turned around to see a large beast-like creature. Its body looked deformed and its chin elongated. Its eyes were a boundless void of the darkness of space, that if you were to slip into them, there wouldn't be any chance of escaping. And its fingers were long, sharp, deadly blades that looked like they could cut through anything. Whatever this woman thought about this beast, it sure horrified her.

"Want… More… POWER!" declared the monster, as it raised its finger-like blades at the woman. Its words were slow and slurred, but the blades were deadly and baleful. The woman's heart raced. The monster turned its blades towards the woman's stomach. Her adrenaline and anxiety exponentially crashed through the roof. As the blades grew closer to her body; she couldn't think of any way of withstanding this.

SWISH!

The paint of death showed itself out on the monster's blades in one swipe. The woman's stomach—now torn open by the monster — left blood splattered everywhere. Her body ceased movement, leaving no trace of breath in her body. Out of her chest came a small, ghostly-shaped ball with a sky blue hue. Whatever this thing was, it sure intrigued the monster. It then grasped the ghost-shaped ball and ate it whole, carefully chewing and savoring every bite in its mouth.

"AHHHH!"

A loud shriek sounded off behind the beast. Stood before the being was another petrified woman glued to the ground. Knowing her chances of living were inevitable, the woman braced herself for her worst. Her blood ran hot, and her skin melted like a candied-flavored treat, gradually fading from the radiation of the sun. Her heart beats frolicked in worry: uncontrollably uncoordinated like a beginner's band.

As the demon drew tight, "snack" was the only thing it could detail the woman as. More slobber ran out of its mouth, saturating more and more. It raised its sharp-bladed fingers at the woman, ready to enjoy the tasty being.

"That Behemoth, Zuma."

Grabbing its attention, the monster turned to see two distinctive figures standing on top of a stairway. The woman then took this opportunity to run away from the being. "Grrrrr…."

"You're right, Skye. No doubt that this thing's soul is a Behemoth Egg. It's pure evil and isn't human anymore." The Behemoth gave a small grunt towards the pair.

"Any human that strays away from the path of humanity runs a very high risk of becoming a behemoth. In the name of Lady Goodway, you will be punished. Let's collect the damaged soul and finish this."

Zuma chuckled, then stood up slowly. "Just to be clear, Skye. This guy is turning himself into a weapon—almost similar to me, in a way. The difference is, I look way cooler in my weapon form than he does," said Zuma, sticking out his arm and turning it into a pointy, sharp blade. On the blade was a triangle-shaped pattern with pointy teeth. The weapon's color was composed of opposites of orange, black, and small hints of silver.

"But that's not the issue here. The actual issue is… this guy's soul!" Zuma's body fully changed into a bright orange blob-like color in a flash. In a blink of an eye, Zuma's body transformed into a tall, deadly sharp, detailed weapon—a scythe. Skye smiled. "I know." Reaching out her arm to grab the weapon, she gave it a couple of swings and twirls.

"Jason Scissorhands… your soul is mine!" As the patience of the monster faded, he quickly changed at the duo with an open left-hand slash. Skye leaped back; landing perfectly on her feet. Before she could conjure up an attack plan, the Behemoth charged at the duo with no hesitation; this time in the air. With a quick backflip, Skye rushed towards the monster, directing her scythe into the monster's chest. Piercing the monster, blood exceedingly spilled out of his body. However, this wasn't enough to finish him. Removing the scythe, Skye immediately landed a sidekick on the being's face, sending him flying back to a nearby wall.

The monster groaned and slightly got up. Blood trickled down the Behemoth's mouth, slowly licking up the red metallic liquid from his chin. Even though the monster was severely injured, his hunger for more souls enlarged; slowly creeping up towards his nerves, fueling them up with the urge to feast on the duo's souls. His stomach rumbled, getting louder and louder by the minute. It felt like another being was inside him: sleeping and snoring loudly, teasing his hunger repeatedly like a continuous loop being played on a record.

"RAAHHHHHH!" the monster screamed. Whipping out all 10 of his fingered blades, Skye clenched onto her scythe, ready for her next attack.

"Ready, Zuma?" Skye confidently questioned. Zuma smiled, showing his reflection on the blade of the weapon. "Oh, yeah. Let's end this!" Skye twirled Zuma in the air and leaped. Grabbing the monster's attention, he followed this action, pointing his blades at her.

"Let's go, Soul Reverberation!" the duo yelled. Skye and Zuma both felt their souls spark and roar. It sounded like a large thunderstorm went off in their bodies, awakening something powerful. Skye and the scythe shook. It took everything in her strength to uplift the scythe. Suddenly, the blade went from normal to a large hollow-blue holographic letter U-shaped blade. Small but powerful blue lightning streaks roared like a lion protecting its pride. For Skye, being a small, petite woman, the power she's controlling didn't stop her.

As for Jason, he didn't even faze. He continued to charge his blades at the scythe meister. Skye's eyes then sparked pink, while the scythe's blade got bigger and bigger, progressively. The monster didn't show any signs of worry. Instead, her power increased his hunger for the meister's soul even more. Skye then swung her scythe directly into the monster's head; body splitting into two. This wasn't enough to kill him. Jason's body then regenerated back and quickly launched a spear out of its mouth, leaving traces of small drops of acid on the weapon. Quickly dodging, Skye landed on a nearby building. "He's still in the air!" Zuma yelled.

"Good. Time for the finisher." She grasped her weapon with two hands and closed her eyes. Jason noticed and quickly tried to attack her. For a monster so big, he had crazy agility and speed. Her body turned bright pink. With the monster unworried, he tried stabbing his fingers into her body. The blades unexpectedly shattered into tiny pieces. In a flash, Skye was back in the air. With her unknown presence to the monster, she began her ultimate attack. For good.

"Aerial Wave: Sky Slash!" Skye yelled. SWISH! In a single swing, the demon weapon slashed its last attack at the beast. Atlas, decapitating the behemoth. Skye then landed on the ground, and Zuma changed into his human form. A red and black, ghostly-shaped ball slowly fell to the ground; its aurora ran a rampage. Zuma slowly approached it, showing his canine teeth and his slobbering tongue. He grabbed the soul, giving it a couple of small squeezes, admiring its touch.

"Well… bottoms up." Zuma ate the object whole, savoring each bite he took. It was quite a rare sight to see someone eat something like that. Most people would call him weird if a regular human witnessed that. Zuma didn't care; it all tasted wonderful to him. Finishing his dinner, he wiped the remaining saliva off his mouth. "Appreciate the dinner, Skye. It was terrific." Zuma smiled devilishly. Skye chuckled. "It was nothing, Zuma. All in the day's work!" Skye joyfully exclaimed.

Zuma and Skye took to the eerie streets. They've been up all night collecting souls, almost completing their goal. Skye reached into her pockets and pulled out a little device. It was a circular, small, pink object. She opened it and typed the following numbers and recited an anthem. "6-4-7-8, open the way to Goodway's gates." After completing the numbers, the top of the screen glowed a luminous white, nearly blinding them. Inside the mirror appeared a young, dark-skinned, joyful woman, coated in all black with her dazzling black jewels. Behind her was a pale, skinny man. He had a navy blue winter cap on with a suit of dark jungle green and small hints of brown.

These people were no other than Lady Goodway, the leader of the G.W.M.A and her trusty Superior Weapon, Jake. "Ahhh~ Skye! Zuma! I see you both have taken care of the Behemoth, correct?"

"Yes ma'am! And we're reporting in to know about our final mission!" Skye and Zuma were amongst the top fighters of their class. She also was in a wonderful connection with Lady Goodway, especially Jake. He adopted her at a young age a couple of years ago and raised her as his child. Though she didn't like how hard Jake was on her. He once was opposed to Skye being partnered up with Zuma. Reason being, who knows?

"HEYYY, SKYE! MY LOVELY DAUGHTER! THAT BOY BETTER NOT BE TRYING TO DO ANYTHING TO HURT YOU!" Jake yelled through the device. Zuma's attitude shifted to the device. It was displeasing to him to have his late-night meal ruined by someone like him. Zuma grabbed Skye's wrist forcefully and spoke vigorously into the device. "What the hell are you talking about, old man? Don't you have a retirement home to go back to or something?" Skye quickly got annoyed. This was a constant thing when she went on missions and reported them back to Lady Goodway. Goodway could probably feel the same way, to be honest. In their heated argument, Skye then cut them off.

"Zuma, why don't you go stand near that store right there while I discuss our next mission? Just for a while. Ok?"

The razor-sharp teeth boy obliged and quietly, but angrily, stormed over to the store. Skye then continued back to the conversation at hand. When she averted her eyes back to the device, she noticed Jake laid out cold on the ground in her view, covered in bruises. She figured Lady Goodway handled her part of the argument, but she ignored it. "Now, Skye, you and Zuma have collected 49 Behemoth souls. Terrific job!" Skye blushed. "All that's left for you to do is to collect 1 witch soul, and it will promote Zuma to a Superior Weapon rank!" Skye smiled in confidence. She knew she could always complete her task; this was going to be easy.

"Now remember: if you cannot collect this soul, all of your 49 Behemoth souls will be confiscated, causing you both to start over," Goodway quoted. Skye understood this clearly. She wasn't planning on failing. So much was on the line for her and Zuma. "To conclude, your final assignment is to dispose of the Witch, Cali. Do be careful. The phrase "9 lives" isn't just some saying." Skye nodded and closed the device, putting it in her pocket. Zuma then walked to his meister.

"Calmed down?"

Zuma couldn't help but blush. "Yeah. What happened wasn't cool. Let's make this quick so I can rub me being a Superior Weapon in your dad's face." Skye rolled her eyes. She told Zuma what they had to do for their last task, and he simply understood. Eventually, they were on their way to collect the witch's soul.

FISHTAIL WONDERLAND

"~The taste of fish is just a treat, the tenderness is oh, so sweet! The ocean is filled with yummy treats, a plethora of fish just for meeee~!"

"Tuna! Tuna! Hmm… it seems I've run out of seasons for my food. Oh, well! I'll just eat it like this~! It'll taste the same, either way."

The light of the witch's house emitted into the forest. Despite her being a witch, she was very open and lively. Skye and Zuma watched the house behind a nearby tree. They couldn't believe what they witnessed before them. A literal fish house. "This has to be her place," Skye said, with no doubt. Zuma slowly smirked. "Hey Skye, you think she'll mind if I took a piece of her fish after I eat her soul?"

Skye turned to Zuma. "I need you to be serious here. We cannot afford to screw up this mission and—"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I get it. You can stop lecturing me, mom. This soul's gonna be mine. Promise that," declared Zuma with some saliva exiting his mouth. He dashed towards the house at full speed, completely leaving Skye behind.

"Wait, Zuma!" Skye then followed behind him.

Witch Cali was still feasting on her fish in the kitchen. She cast a few spells to add more fish to her plate. No surprise. As she took another bite, a loud crash was heard at her window. "YOUR SOUL IS MINE, CAT!" exclaimed Zuma. He crashed headfirst into the table, causing all the fish to land on top of his head. Dumbfounded as Cali was, she questioned if the boy was ok. Zuma slowly removed the fish from his head. Looking up, to his surprise, his eyes widened. He scurried away towards a cabinet and held his nose. A few seconds later, his nose bled. Cali was naked.

"Zuma! You dumbass!" Skye hopped into the house through the broken window and saw the naked witch. She also noticed a nose-bled Zuma lying near the kitchen cabinets. All she could hear out of his mouth were distinct, lewd words.

"Boobs… Thighs… Legs…" Zuma twitched after every word. Skye sighed. "Pathetic." Cali abruptly laughed. "What a cute boy! He's also funny. I should keep him and make him one of mine ~!" Cali squealed. Skye's face directed back to the witch. Her face showed signs of anger and infatuation. She didn't have time to mess around: Skye needed her soul.

Skye walked over to a still passed-out Zuma and pointed her finger at Cali. "Witch Cali, in the name of Lady Goodway, you will be punished. Your soul is mine." Cali smiled and narrowed her eyes. "Well, miss pigtails came to play–" As she was talking, a purple dress and witch hat that comprises cat ears slowly wrapped around her body. "Come and get me, girly," she finished, flicking her hat.

Skye noticed Zuma had slowly woken up. Zuma rubbed his head and dusted the remaining rubble off his clothes. "Zuma. Do you have enough energy to transform?" He smiled. "Of course… it's not cool to pass out over something like that. My bad, Skye. Now let's make me a Superior Weapon." He grabbed Skye's hand and quickly transformed. Skye gave the scythe a couple of good swings and took her battle stance. "Witch Cali… YOUR SOUL IS MINE!"

The streets that once roamed silently were now replaced with sweat, explosions, and the sounds of steel clashing against its opponent. Smoke and broken ground tiles were all over the place. Despite all the commotion, no one came outside to check what was going on. The citizens knew better than to step in between the meisters and their enemies for their safety. Skye was trying her best to avoid Cali's attacks. She flipped, dodged, and maneuvered to the best of her abilities. To her surprise, her opponent was powerful. This fish lover differed from any other enemies she faced. Sweat ran down her face, clenching her weapon and focusing on Cali's attacks. On a nearby rooftop building stood Skye, leaning on her trusty weapon, not taking her eyes off of Cali. She was getting tired.

Cali slowly glided down on her fish-shaped glider. She slyly smirked and observed the meister. "~Awww, resting, little girl? Why don't you die so I can take that cute boy off your hands~!" A wave of annoyance hit Skye as she quickly gained her composure. "Shut up! You won't be taking anyone, you witch!" She leaped from the building and attempted to attack Cali directly in her chest. Cali then cast a spell that allowed her body to be fazed through; allowing Skye's attack to seep right through her body. Crap, she cast another spell. Skye thought. She ended up lying in a dumpster filled with trash to catch her fall. This only seemed to aggravate her more. This witch was seriously getting on her nerves. Her facial expression changed into anger as she scurried out of the dumpster. Cali sat on her glider, smiling menacingly at the duo. Skye heavily clutched her weapon and gritted her teeth. Before she could attack, Zuma spoke to her.

"Hey, Skye, calm down. You're attacking blindly. Swinging me everywhere isn't gonna solve anything. We have to be cautious here or we aren't gonna—"

"Shut up! I can handle this. I don't need a lecture, especially from you!"

Zuma's reflection then appeared from the blade of the scythe. She was right. Zuma is the last person who she would want to hear a lecture from, but so was Zuma. Skye was attacking blindly. Unsynced even. Her ambition to collect Cali's soul fed on her soul by the minute. If she keeps this up, they'll both wind up dead. Zuma angrily showed his teeth.

"Listen to me for once! If you wanna make me a Superior Weapon, you can't just swing me out of your ass! You need to think this through carefully and find a safer way to beat her!"

Skye sarcastically chuckled. "Carefully? Why should I do that? So you can see her naked again?" Zuma was stunned. He had to admit, what he saw was unexpected, yes. But he did like what he saw. Nonetheless, if it cost him a mission, he would forget he saw anything and put his priorities first.

"The hell are you talking about?! Naked for what? That was an accident and you know it! I don't know why you're being so uptight right now!" Skye scoffed. "Yeah, right? Sure, it was a damn accident, your perverted ass. And maybe it's just a woman's instincts that make me think of you otherwise. You make completing tasks complicated! You obnoxious bastard!" Cali laughed in enjoyment.

"~Ohhhh it looks like pigtails is upset. I wouldn't dare talk to you like that ever, cutie. Why don't you ditch that girl and come be with me? I'll let you do whatever you want to me~!" Cali finished, seducing her lips. Skye ignored her and took her battle stance again.

"Alright Zuma, let's finish this. End it off with Soul Reverberation!" She got no response.

"Zuma? Hey, why aren't you responding to me? I need you to help me finish her off," she demanded, looking at her weapon. Zuma's reflection was gone. Before she could ask another question, Cali fired another powerful blast as what seemed to be "cat cannons".

"Tuna! Tuna! Better keep your guard up, skirts!" She fired more attacks as Skye quickly tried to avoid them. She jumped onto the closest rooftop building and ran. "Zuma, what the hell! I need you to answer me–" "~Found you! Tuna! Tuna! Bad Luck Blaster~!" Crap, I'm screwed! The blaster fired in seconds, leaving Skye flying across the street to another building's rooftop. Skye winced at the pain from the crash and explosion. Her sight was blurry and her legs felt numb. Small pools of blood also appeared on her body. It wasn't too crucial, but she knew she needed to get treated. ASAP. She also had minor cuts on her face, arms, and hands. Skye swore she could hear every heartbeat in her chest. Slowly turning to her weapon, tears slowly swelled her eyes. "Zuma… please… help… I need to get… her soul…" she repeatedly begged for his help. Even currently facing death, her priorities didn't change. Things were certainly not going well for them both.

GOODWAY HOMEROOM

"Whaddya mean we can't save her! She's gonna die if we don't do something!" Jake furiously explained. He and Goodway were watching Skye's battle unfold in the Goodway mirror. From what Jake had previously said, the battle wasn't going in Skye's favor. Jake pleaded to save her from this one-sided battle, but Goodway refused. "Jake. You know that I or you single-handedly could put an end to that battle. But this is Skye's fight. I truly understand your concern, but if she wants to be a successful scythe meister, she'll have to finish this on her own." As much as he didn't want to admit it, she was right. Jake knew her answer would not change as much as he begged. He could just hope that Skye picked herself back up and completed her mission.

Come on, Skye. Don't let this be your downfall. You still have so much to accomplish. Jake thought, pulling out a cigarette from a small box in his pocket. He then lit it. "I'll be outside." Lady Goodway nodded, not taking her eyes off the mirror. She would be lying if she didn't feel a tad bit concerned, but all she could do was hope Skye survived this.

The smoke and flames in the city ceased. Cali glided in the sky to spot her opponent, and easily enough, she did. Her now badly bruised enemy lay stagnant in agony, struggling to get herself together. Skye could barely move, and even if she could, it would hurt like hell. She repeatedly called for Zuma's help, but still didn't get an answer. "~Well, well, well. Still want my soul, pigtails~?" Cali mocked. Skye didn't have the energy to muster up a response. Continuously begging Zuma to help her, she cried and cried until she got an answer. She was running out of time.

"Give it up already. I told you he's gonna be with me! After what you said to him earlier, I would ignore you too!" Taken aback by her comment, she wondered if that was the reason he was ignoring her. And if that was true, it was a very wrong moment to start this now. "Zuma, is this true?" Instead of another nonresponse, Zuma transformed back to his human form, kneeling to help Skye. He gently placed her on his back and jumped off the rooftop, landing perfectly. Zuma sat her gently down a wall and stood in front of her.

"Zuma, what's your problem? You left me to fend off for myself–" A sharp pain hit her sides, causing her to wince.

"Skye. I don't think we should be partners anymore…" Her eyes widened hearing what she thought she heard. "Zuma… you're joking, right? You seriously just didn't say that…" Zuma turned his back away from the meister. "I am. You said it yourself: "I make completing tasks difficult." Why would you and I be partners when we can't kill a single witch?"

Hearing this news hurt Skye more than her physical pain. She couldn't comprehend what was going on. The news, her pain, the mission. These events happened all at once, with no clue what to do with them. She felt like she was going to hurl. Zuma was the first person she truly trusted. Before, she was skeptical of everything and everyone. He was the only person who genuinely cared for her. Or so she thought.

"~Ouuu! You're finally ditching her and gonna be with me?!" Cali joyfully questioned, walking in front of Zuma. He smiled. "Of course, hot stuff. Beats having a flat board as a partner, anyway." Skye could feel the tears stroll down her face. Not even realizing that she was crying. She felt every piece of her heart shatter as she was witnessing what unfolded in front of her. As much as her body hurt, she wanted to slap the weapon gene out of him. I was right from the beginning. All you people are the same… A feeling she finally once thought had disappeared consumed her heart once more.

"I TRUSTED YOU! HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME AT A TIME LIKE THIS!" Skye choked on her words as more tears fell to the ground. "YOU SAID YOU'LL NEVER LEAVE ME! YOU PROMISED!" Skye's heart continued to shatter. Her head hurt, and her body caused her more pain than before. All the emotions that she felt all those years ago came rushing back as a liquid. "I thought I could be something, you know… I believed I could prove those people wrong and show them what I could do…" She sniffled. "But all that doesn't matter now… all of that was for nothing." Zuma remained quiet. He had his arm placed around Cali–who also watched Skye break. Did he not care that his ex-meister was falling apart? Skye could've answered that. Looking at the previous events that took place, Zuma was nowhere to be found. To top that off, the witch was with her weapon. Did he not attack her because he wanted to be with Cali? Everything would've made sense 100%. More questions filled her head, but she didn't care. All she knew was that she felt used. She could feel her body being crushed, like a ton of weight fell on top of her.

"Hey, Skye. Remember when you told me to be serious when we were in that forest?" No answer. "You told me to get serious about the mission, correct?" No answer. "That's what you don't get. You're so stuck on old things that you seem to forget the present stuff directly in your face. Heh, and if I'm the obnoxious one, then you're damn Ray Charles." Zuma smiled menacingly, looking directly into her bloodshot pink eyes. "The point of what I'm trying to say is when I promise something…" Zuma's arm that was placed on Cali spontaneously changed into a blade. "...I mean it." This baffled Cali and Skye.

Crap, he lied! The witch cat, shockingly, thought. As she tried to escape, Zuma didn't allow her to. The blade was slowly cutting her skin. Skye's eyes widened. "Come on, Skye! Let's finish this!" He quickly held out his arm to her. Even though she was immobile to movement, she couldn't let this moment go to waste. She had to get up. Every pain and agony she was facing didn't matter to her; Skye was continuously pressing on. Grabbing Zuma's hand, he quickly transformed into a scythe. One swing. It would take only a single swing, and this day would be over for them. One swing that would prove her worth. A swing that would change them forever. Despite her lack of energy, she collected all of what she had left and put it in her upper body. She couldn't think about how bad she was feeling right now; killing Cali was her only priority. More blood poured out of her body by the minute, but she didn't care. One swing was going to end it all.

"WITCH CALI, IN THE NAME OF LADY GOODWAY–!" This was it. Their last attack. "-YOU HAVE BEEN PUNISHED!"

SWISH!

The blade slashed diagonally at Cali's body. Her body slowly disintegrated into nothingness. Out of her body appeared a purple ghost-shaped ball, with small cat ears on the side. Skye's body finally gave out as she dropped her weapon and collapsed on the ground. Zuma quickly transformed and caught her in time.

"We… we did it…" she said, smiling weakly, as a blood trail ran from her mouth. Zuma chuckled. "I promised that this soul was gonna be mine, didn't it?" Skye smiled, but Zuma knew he had to hurry. He grabbed the soul and calmly examined it. "Hurry and… and eat it so you… can be… a Superior…" "You should stop talking and save your energy. You'll need it." Skye rolled her eyes and smiled. Zuma did truly care about her. "I'll be fine… plus, we're gonna have a lot more responsibilities once we're higher rank partners." Zuma nodded in response. "I'm sorry I had to get the soul this way. My plan didn't go accordingly as I wanted… I understand if you don't wanna be partners anymore for real, but–"

"Shut up…" Skye laughed. "Of course, we're still… partners. I just wish you… would've told me all of this… before I ended… up this way. And… I'm sorry, too. Though, you did… surprise me." Zuma could slowly see her drift away. He needed to hurry. He looked back at the soul and examined it.

This was it. After this, they were going to have both of their dreams fulfilled. It just took one bite to make their wishes come true. It lowkey felt kind of scary to them. "Well, here goes nothing." Zuma finally consumed the soul, savoring each bite. As he swallowed it, he felt a powerful surge hit his heart. He could hear it throb with each beat as he held onto Skye to the best of his ability. The pain was bearable, but the power was too fantastic.

"I can… feel it, Skye!" Skye looked at the weapon in concern, fear, and amazement. Seeing this for the first time was truly a sight to see. She could only imagine the pain he was in whilst still holding her. Zuma clutched his chest in agony and grunted his teeth. His body glowed a bright orange, while he felt his body shake. "The power… I… can feel… the power!" The weapon's eyes glowed a furious white. He looked like a god transforming into his ultimate form. Skye averted her eyes, while still being amazed at what she was experiencing.

"I CAN FEEL THE POWER–!" He roared as he fed into the power. This was happening, or so he believed. Zuma's body returned to its normal state. "-Or not…" His eyes went to the back of his head as he collapsed down on the ground, as Skye laid on top of him. As shocked as they both were, a gray cat with a purple collar appeared next to them. "~Hehehehe. Meow. ~" Zuma burped as Skye looked at him with disgust. The cat climbed on top of them and spoke. "~I never told you I was a witch, didn't I? You guys made that assumption all by yourself. I'm just a regular cat with crazy high magic~!" Cali, smirk mocked. Skye and Zuma felt pain, and they didn't mean physical. All the sweat and blood they lost, just for it to be a hoax.

"You're kidding, right? I put on that entire act for nothing! Did I seriously just eat a cat soul?! What a joke!"

Skye then remembered the awfullest memory. "Now remember: if you cannot collect this soul, all of your 49 Behemoth souls will be confiscated, causing you both to start over." Start over. Start over. Start over. Those last words replayed in her mind like a drunk record player. "If it's not too late to die now, I will seriously take that option," she proclaimed while groaning. Cali laughed hysterically. This was such an eventful night for the duo.

"DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT!" Zuma continuously cursed while starting up this car. He parked it at a nearby water fountain before the battle with Jason. He had carefully placed Skye in the car; she was out like a light. Surprised that she stayed awake for that long. He then drove off spitefully. Pissed as he was, he had to hurry and get Skye treated, on top of the anger he felt from the battle. Cali–in her human form–was in the sky, riding on her glider, following the car.

"~Aw come on cutie! Let's go somewhere and have some fun~!" She kept repeatedly teasing him the entire car ride.

"GET LOST YOU DAMN CAT! YOU COST ME A ONE-WAY TICKET TO GLOATTOWN!"

After all of what took place, Skye and Zuma left the battle empty-handed. No victory. No luck. And to top it off, all of their 49 victories were now at 0. This was indeed a mouthful of bad luck. And their enemy was a cat.
