Chapter 1: Prologue: Goblin Invasion
About a year passes since the Xenos said their goodbyes to Bell and his friends of the Hestia Familia.
During that time, Bell meets a dragon girl known as a Vouivre, who could speak, show emotions, and show intelligence.
Bell being the good person that he is decides to help the girl, but eventually, his friends find out, they were ready for a fight, but after some convincing, the dragon girl was allowed back to the Hestia Familia.
Hearing the detail of the talking monster was surprising, Hestia had some of her children ask for any advice in the city.
Some were considering(Mostly Lilith) taking Wiene(the dragon girl's name which was given by Bell)back to the dungeon.
Wiene overhears the conversation and runs away in confusion and sadness, but she accidentally shows her monstrous like wings for saving a child, things get out of control the moment the citizens of Orario see her.
Bell and his friends eventually sneak their friend away from the angry crowd and sneak back to the old church.
The guild is on alert, there was confusion, fear, and anger, however, Bell and his friends are given a mission to take Wiene back on the 20th floor.
After some hard fighting, they make it to the 20th floor, where they find a secret door, however, things get crazy when a bunch of monsters ambushes the Hestia Familia adventures.
Together they fight and give it their all, Bell ends up knocking down a lizardman, then the lizard creature starts to laugh in amusement.
The lizardman introduces himself as Lyd, at first Bell is a little scared but after taking a look a Wiene, he eventually becomes good pals with the lizardman and the other monsters, the entire monster group is known as Xenos.
During a party, Lyd explains his desire to see the sun which some other monsters hope to see as well, a few had other desires as well.
Sadly after they depart, Wiene has no choice but to stay with Xenos, much to her dismay, however, she reluctantly agrees.
Then a Familia called Ikelos and their hunters find several of the Xenos, killing some of them, but took a few captive.
On the path of revenge, Lyd and his friends go to the human settlement of Rivira on the 18th floor, to start a war, Bell and his friends upon hearing this is shocking.
Bell asked Ouranos to join the Ganesha Familia to stop the Xenos' attack.
Bell meets up with an enraged Lyd, both are interrupted by Ryuu the former adventurer, the little Rookie is given strange items in a pouch bag.
Bell reunites with the skeleton mage Fels, they eventually find the secret entrance leading the hideout of Ikelos.
Bell confronts the leader of the Ikelos Familia, Dix Perdix, who reveals to all the illegal activities, himself and his followers being descendants of Daedalus.
Dix also reveals his cursed eyes from his ancestor, with a task to finish the construction of Knossos, a man-made labyrinth to rival the dungeon in grandiosity.
After the talking was done, Diz used a curse to turn the Xenos against each other, Bell learns that the curse can be lifted by defeating the caster.
As the battle continues, Diz shows the true form of Wiene by taking out her magic stone, Wiene transforms into her monstrous form going on a rampage.
Bell attempts to help Wiene, which seemingly stops her, but Diz gets disgusted by this.
Bell states "If the Monsters ask for help, that's good enough for me!"
Upon hearing such a bold and honest statement, Lido and his friends are touched by this, the curse loses control over them.
Diz gets injured in the process and tries to flee, but not before he opens a door that leads to Orario.
Viene starts causing havoc, but is temporarily stopped by the Loki Familia, Bell is forced to protect her knowing the consequences, but he claims to want her as his prey, which seems to fool the Loki Familia for a while.
Wiene is chased by Bell, but she gets trapped by magicians, then one of Dix's men mortally wounds the dragon girl, before she disappears, Bell returns her stone to her forehead thus returning her to her gentle nature.
Fels uses his magic to revive Wiene.
Bell's actions spread through Orario, some citizens and adventurers gave the little Rooke the stink-eye.
Bell then talks with Syr, she helps him realize that his friends have his back no matter what, she will never give up on him.
In the sewer.
Fels explains the situation and the plan, but knowing that Hestia Familia will help them, but will have to be careful of not getting caught in the act again.
Bell is approached later by Aisha, Ryuu, and Naaza, who offer their help, by Eina too, he departs before she can give him the bracelet she got from Hermes.
Using a map that was given by Hermes, the Hestia Familia make their way through Oraio, but the gang gets divided.
Wiene strays from the others is found by Tiona, who is about to kill her.
The chase is on, but Wiene saves a little girl from the falling rumble, Tione witnesses the heroic act, she decides to let the dragon girl go.
Welf and Mikoto hold off Gareth.
Aisha takes on Bete in another part of Orario.
Bell takes Viene but gets found by Ais Wallenstein.
The two adventurers clash their blades, but Bell eventually manages to slip away with Wiene, sending the dragon girl to safety.
Wiene returns to help Bell, Ais refuses to back down, so the dragon girl tears away her claws and wings to show she's no threat.
Ais decides to turn away and let her go with Bell.
However later, the Xenos learn of the map's fake directions, Hermes approaches them, having an idea to restore Bell's reputation.
Gros and other Xenos decide to go with Herme's plan, provoking Bell to return and fight them.
Asterius the minotaur, who was informed by Ottar about Bell's whereabouts by under Freya's orders, he later arrives and challenges Bell.
Bell recognizes the minotaur as the same one he fought against before, the fight gets very intense, other adventures for the little Rookie, but comes to close with Asterius as the victor, but not before promising that they'll fight again someday.
The Hestia Familia vows to look for a way for humans and Xenos to coexist in the future, Bell reconciles with Ais, asking her to train him again to become stronger.
In another region far away.
Another guild was formed in a city.
Bunch adventurers take quests to rank up and meet all kinds of different people.
There was a young man who was just a boy when he lost his sister to a horde of Goblins, he was trained to kill them even ones that were infants, he found more nests of Goblins, knowing the threats they oppose to everyone especially female humans and creatures.
A young Priestess joined another different group of rookie adventures(two females, and a male), but due to their inexperience with goblins, the adventurers are ambushed and overpowered, the female fighter is eventually caught, she tells Priestess and the Wizard(female) to retreat.
Priestess is saved by Goblin Slayer, however, the goblin slayer has to kill the Witch due to poison that's in her body(by the witch's request), then the young priestess witnesses the slaying he does, eventually, the female fighter is saved, but, is traumatized.
Despite the traumatic experience, Priestess decided to join Goblin Slayer as his companion.
The two eventually are accompanied by another group, a High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman, and Lizard Priest.
The elf archer refers to Goblin Slayer as Orcbolg while the dwarf calls him Beardcutter.
The three discuss with Gobin Slayer, about the Demon King's wrath, but mostly about the Goblin nest, they located.
In the beginning, things start to get bloody as usual, then the group finds a female elf that was raped and stripped naked, horrified at the sight, but the female elf whispers to the others to kill.
At first, the Priestess and High Elf Archer think that Goblin Slayer was going to kill her, but then a small goblin comes out of the shadows, trying a sneak attack, however it dies at Goblin Slayer's blade.
The group eventually makes deeper into the ruins, killing more Goblins one by one.
Then an Ogre attacks the group using his strength and fire magic, thus his healing ability and large size made further problems.
Goblin Slayer takes out a magic teleportation scroll that is given to him by Witch, the scroll sends out a strong jet of water from the bottom of the ocean to seriously damage the Ogre, thus Goblin Slayer delivers the killing blow to the beast's head.
The Elvish reinforcements arrive to take over the ruins and Goblin Slayer's group return to the city.
Eventually, the High Elf, Dwarf Shaman, and Lizard Priest join Goblin Slayer's group, the five learn to get along and to know each other better.
They learn more of the Goblins, that some are getting smarter and know how to use boats as well, one mission goes wrong when they face a goblin champion in the sewers of Water Town, Goblin Slayer and Priestess get severely injured, both are barely alive, but they are taken to the Sword Maiden, where the two are healed with Resurrection miracle.
The five return to the sewers, they encounter a demon in a room, after killing the fiend with a dust explosion, the party investigates a mysterious mirror it was guarding.
The mirror was discovered to have a gate linking to the sewers of Water town with the green moon, allowing goblins to enter.
The group works together to remove the mirror from the wall, the rest of the party rebels against the goblin counterattack led by the Goblin Champion.
Goblin Slayer has his friends take shelter under the mirror once it was removed, Dwarf Shaman collapses the roof.
All the goblins are crushed, but the mirror was protected, though the group sinks it into the river.
The report gets to Sword Maiden, she explains the giant alligator being her familiar that guards the sewers, while the mirror was placed by a cult of demon worshipers who were already wiped out by the Hero.
Goblin Slayers merely replies that even he cannon save her from her trauma, he will kill goblins if she asks him, even in her dreams, which seems to alleviate her worries.
Shortly after Goblin Slayer finds out a horde of a hundred goblins is planning to attack the farm soon.
He goes to the guild to ask for help, at first they refuse since no quest or reward was posted for fighting the goblin horde.
Goblin Slayer then offers everything he owns: equipment, assets, knowledge, and time, as a reward for helping him fight.
Spearman and Witch agree to help him in the fight as two rookie adventurers, even Goblin slayer's party offers to help with the food and drinks.
Guild girl then announces that she posted a bounty for one gold for each dead goblin, this convinces the other adventurers to join in as well.
At the night at the farm.
Goblins attack, but the adventurers and Goblin Slayer's team fight against them.
A Goblin Lord is intercepted by Goblin Slayer, the two brawl to the death, the goblin slayer is almost killed until Priestess casts two protection spells to trap the goblin lord.
The Goblin Lord attempts to trick the young priestess by begging for mercy, but this fails and Goblin Slayer kills him, revealing that this was his plan to be the bait so that Priestess could entrap the goblin lord.
After the Goblins are killed and the farm secured, the adventurers return to the Guild to celebrate, Goblin Slayer confides to Cow Girl he started to pick up interest in becoming an adventure.
The Priestess requests for Goblin Slayer to remove his helmet as an award, which he does, his face surprises the adventurers, Goblin Slayer knows that he needs to trust more even if things get rough and to know that there are good people, he smiles for the first time, hoping that she is right.
Present
In Orario city.
later that night, the green moon was shining, over the city.
Hermes caught sight of it. "A green moon, that's unusual." He pondered, wondering that kind of moon like that exist.
Freya in her room was gazing upon the green moon. "A green moon, how mysterious, Ottaro."
"Yes m'lady," The tall man saluted.
"Find out more about the green moon, I have a feeling that something is about to happen," Freya ordered while taking a sip of her wine.
"Yes, at once," Ottaro bowed his head and walked away.
The next day.
A mysterious adventurer wearing similar armor to Goblin Slayer, but was a little taller than Bell Cranel, he went inside the guild.
"Excuse me..." He walked to the front desk. "I'm here to register for the guild."
Eina was surprised by this newcomer. "Oh, umm... if that's the case, here's a paper for you to sign up and I suggest that you join Familia too."
The mysterious adventurer looked at the elf-human for a moment, this made Eina a little uncomfortable. "Uh... Did I say something wrong?"
"No... I work alone, but, don't worry, I won't be here for long..." The mysterious adventurer replied and took the paper.
Eina was confused about what he meant by that. "Wait, I..." The mysterious adventurer was already sitting down in the waiting area and signing the paper.
The mysterious armor man turned his head, glancing at the human elf lady. "Did an adventurer named Chris and his team come here?"
Eina regained her composure. "Yes, they left because someone they were waiting for someone didn't arrive at the time."
A small gasp came from the mysterious armored adventurer. "What?" Eina noticed the sound of the man's voice, but, before, she could ask anything, the adventurer stormed out in a flash. "Wait!"
Somewhere in the dungeon.
A mirror similar to the one that Goblin Slayer and his friends found, was attached to a wall in a large area on the 60th floor, which was unexplored as well.
The floor was much larger, further inside was a large castle(similar to the one in Goblin's Crown), along with old ruins, a running river nearby that was connected to a moat that surrounded the castle.
A few feet away were some ancient buildings and old deserted ruins.
Dark shadows were lurking around with yellow glowing eyes, snarls and cackles were heard too.
Goblins were there now, planning to cause some hell, three Goblin Casters wearing wizard-like robes and wielding magician staffs.
Another part of the area, had four goblin champions, three goblin lords, and two goblin shamans, behind them was a horde of small goblin grunts wielding weapons, some were sword wielders and a few were archers.
There was one in the dark throne room of the castle, who was much taller and wielding some kind of staff. The outfit it wore was like royalty.
Several hours later.
A group of adventures was exploring the 25th floor.
A witch wearing a black witch hat with a black cape and dress.
Two weapons wielders, first one was male with mohawk green hairstyle, both wearing small armor that was suited for easy maneuver with black boots and fighter, the taller wielding a spear, he wore short pants, green-jacket, brown hair, and green-shoes.
One supporter, an elf with red hair and ponytail, carrying a large bag that had food, magic items, and water.
"Shall we try to continue?" The sword wielder asked.
The leader was led by a young man wielding a katana sword, he was a bit taller than Bell, but, his eye color was blue, and had short-black spiky hair. "Yeah, our ally will surely join up later, no doubt."
"Agreed, once we do, we'll return to the 20th floor to re-supply and rest for a while." The supporter added.
"Right!" The other adventurers said excitedly.
Through the passageways between the 20th and 25, the group of goblins was making their way towards the human settlement of Rivera.
"The human race shall know of the goblins..." A raspy voice said that was leading the goblin group towards the path to Rivera.
M
At Orario streets.
Bell was walking through with Welf, Lilith, and Mikoto.
"The dungeon is next!"
"Master Bell, we'll be going to the 20th floor again?" Lilith asked curiously.
"Yeah, I wrote a letter to Viene and the Xenos," Bell replied holding an envelope and looking at it. "Hopefully, Fels will stop by and give it to them."
"How are things with Ms. Wallenstein?" Welf wondered with a smirk.
Bell jumped in surprise, with a flustered expression, his usual one that is. "Oh, I-I-I-I, she's doing...doing..." He stammered.
Welf shrugged his shoulders. "Sorry I asked," He joked with a chuckle.
Lilith elbowed the blacksmith in the arm. "Ow, little Lilith!" He groaned in surprise.
"Stop teasing Bell," Lilith comically punched the blacksmith.
Mikoto giggled at the scene. "Anyway, let's get going to the dungeon."
"Also..." Everyone looked at Bell. "Ms. Eina told me something after we left the guild."
"Eina, oh, your advisor," Welf said remembering the elf-human hybrid. "What'd she say to you?"
Flashback.
Bell and his friends went to the guild to tell Eina about going to the dungeon. "Ms. Eina, my friends and I will be going to the Dungeon."
Eina smiled while pushing her glasses back. "Okay, you take care," The other Hestia members were already out, but, the advisor spoke up again. "Bell, I need to speak with you for a moment."
The Little Rookie turned to her in confusion but went to talk with her in her office. "Something wrong, Ms. Eina?"
"Yes, another adventurer showed up a little earlier in the morning, he registered here, and I suggested he should join a Familia, but he refused, on top of that he said that he works alone and that he won't be around for long."
Bell was surprised to hear this. "Does this adventurer say anything else?"
Eina then took the registration form. "He said he was supposed to meet up with some people, but, they left without him, they went to the dungeon, I told them that his group should stay, but, they didn't listen, and now that mysterious adventurer just storms to the dungeon, I fear that he'll get hurt if he's not careful."
End of flashback.
"Seriously, this new rookie ran out because his group wouldn't stay still, and Eina wants us to find these other new adventurers too?" Welf asked slightly surprised.
Bell nodded. "Yeah..."
"That's stupid, any rookie could get killed if they recklessly go down alone," Lilith added in concern.
"He's right, do you think this new rookie and his group could be dead?" Mikoto wondered.
"Not sure, but, we can least try to find this adventurer and bring him along with his friends back," Bell answered. "Besides, it's our job to help other adventurers."
"Right," His team members agreed.
"Good, but, what about the other adventurers?" Lilith asked.
"Surely, they'll be further in the dungeon, if we find them, we'll probably find this mysterious adventurer," Welf replied.
At the Hestia Familia
Haruhime was preparing some plates for dinner with Goddess Hestia, she looked at the list for dinner tonight.
"Cheesy fried potatoes with chicken salad, chocolate cupcakes for dessert with cold water, red wine, and milk, this should be a good meal," Haruhime said looking eager.
"Yeah, I would usually sell cheesy fried potatoes on the streets too," Hestia giggled.
"Master Bell, I hope he enjoys the meal," Haruhime smiled hopefully.
However her joy quickly vanished when she felt a dark aura, she glanced at the small goddess, seeing the venomous look on her face. "Didn't try to use this opportunity to snatch Bell away."
Haruhime shivered nervously as she shook her head. "No, no, no, of course not, I meant to say I hope that Bell and the others will enjoy the meal!"
Hestia's big innocent smile returned. "Good, let's continue to get started, and later we'll prepare the cooking."
"Yah!" Haruhime said in a cheery tone.
The adventurers that were on the 25th floor were on their way back to Rivera to re-supply and rest for a while.
"Geez, I stink of sweat, we need a bath from the monsters," The Witch agreed, sniffing her clothes.
"Geez, do you have to complain about body odor?" The spear wielder grumbled in annoyance.
"She's a girl, what'd you expect?" The Fighter whispered.
"I suppose that imply to me ," The elf supporter questioned as she elbowed the two, making them wince in pain.
The leader was hoping to return and get a bath too, he felt beat, just then he looked ahead to see the way out to Rivera, how he caught sight of smoke.
AAAHHHH
The leader stopped in his tracks alerting his team. "Hold on!" He warned putting his arm out.
"Master Chris, what is it?" The spear user questioned.
He glanced at his companions and put his index finger to his mouth, telling them to be quiet for a moment. "Follow my lead." He whispered.
They cautiously walked towards the cliffside, to their horror, they saw a horde of goblins, but the ones they were seeing, were different from the ones they saw on the upper floors.
The settlement was burning down, people were running, while some soldiers were trying to fight off the goblins.
"What'd these vermin come from?" An adventurer asked in fear.
"Who cares, let's get our people out of here!" Another suggested.
"Right!"
Two female adventures were using swords and hammers to fight off the goblins but were easily overpowered and pounced on.
"AAAHHH!" The two girls screamed.
The two were stripped naked and raped which made them scream even more.
Chris and his team were making their way to Rivera.
"Let's help out, Sheele, look for survivors, get as many as you can, and meet back here!" He ordered the Witch.
Chris then turned to his elf supporter. "Judy, you help her out, use magic items that cause bright flashing lights, but only use the smokescreens as the last precaution."
"Right!" The female elf saluted, as she ran off into town with two weapon wielders.
"Tony, you go with those two to provide backup," Chris explained, he turned to his Sword companion.
"Right!"
Chris turned to his spear wielder companion.
"Drake, you're with me!"
Bell and his friends were down at the 15th floor, by now.
"Only five more floors to go, we'll be at the 18th floor," Mikoto said holding the map.
"Right, once we're there, we'll just get some rest and make it to the 20th, we can leave the letter to Viene and the Xenos," Bell said happily.
"Yes, but we can't let anyone else see what we're doing," Lilith said, cautiously. "Other adventurers might still be around."
"Good point, we don't want to get on the people's bad side," Welf reminded, remembering the looks they got after Xenos invaded Orario.
After a hard walk through the dungeon paths, the Hestia members finally made it to the 20th floor.
Bell then stopped sensing something dark within the area. "Master Bell, what's wrong?" Lilith asked with concern, noticing her captain's anxious expression.
"I don't know, I sense something dark, evil, and malicious," Bell described, giving his friends chills.
"Come on man, that's not funny," Welf said with a fake laugh.
"No, I sense it too," Mikoto said preparing to take out her katana.
"Is it a monster or is there more?" Lilith asked.
Before Bell could answer, they heard a scream, a scream of females, wasting no time, they ran towards the pathway, there they saw the human settlement, burned to the ground, screams were still being heard.
Lilith was in disbelief at what she was seeing. "What is this?"
"This is bad, the town is..." Mikoto began to say her eyes wobbling in shock.
"Burning to the ground," Welf said finishing the phrase, just as shocked.
Bell couldn't believe what was going on, though he knew that this wasn't the time to twiddle his thumbs. "Guys, let's get the town, Mikoto, Welf, search for survivors in the shop district, we'll search around for half-an-hour, when your search is done use a flare to give the signal, then we'll meet up here and retreat to the surface!"
"Yes, Bell!" The two sword wielders saluted.
"Lilith, you're with me, we'll see if there are any adventurers that are still alive and need rescuing in the adventurer's tent area!" Bell ordered.
Lilith nodded her head. "You can count on me, master Bell!"
The Hestia Group made the settlement.
Welf and Mikoto went to the shopping district, searching for anyone.
The shops were wrecked, supplies were scattered all over the floors, weapons were broken, but they noticed that magic items were being purchased.
"Funny never knew magic items were sold here," Mikoto said looking a little surprised.
"There weren't, last time I was here with Bell and Lilith, all that they sold was clothes, perfume, and food," Welf said, observing the magic items.
Then something caught his eye. "Hmm?" He looked closely. "No way..." He picked up the paper.
"What is that?" Mikoto asked.
Welf picked up the paper in disbelief as he recognized it. "I can't believe it, it's a magic scroll, I heard of these being sold in another region."
"A blacksmith like you knows about magic scrolls," Mikoto said looking surprised.
"I heard rumors about them, each one is powerful in their way, finding them is rare," Welf said, as he prepared to take it with him.
"We shouldn't steal this," Mikoto said, attempting to take the scroll away.
"Normally I agree, but things like this aren't sold in Orario, I have feeling things have gotten interesting," Welf said gazing at the scroll.
Mikoto sighed. "Alright, let's continue searching for any survivors."
Bell and Lilith went to another part of the settlement. "Damn, what happened here?" The Pelum wondered, seeing the destruction.
AAAAHHHH
Bell turned to the left, which lead to a forest where Hestia was held captive one time. "That way!"
"Damn you, bastards!" A male voice angrily roared.
"Who was that?" Bell wondered, not familiar with the voice.
Chris was fighting a goblin champion, lying on the ground was a wounded citizen with an arrow in her shoulder, wincing in pain.
"Is that a Goblin?" Lilith asked, she never has seen one that tall especially with big muscles.
Bell knew that questions would have to wait, he rushed in and swiftly slashed the goblin in the arm.
"Is that the little Rookie," Chris wondered.
Lilith went over the female wounded citizen and took out the arrow. "This wound doesn't look too bad, but she'll need treatment, it could get infected." He took out some band-aid wraps, then cleaned out the wound with water. "Master Bell, I got her, but she'll need proper treatment!"
"Right!" Bell turned and then looked at the other adventurer. "What's your name?"
"Chris, I'm an adventurer, I came here with another group, do you have any other followers?" He asked.
"Yes, we have two more down here, they're searching for any other survivors," Bell replied as he continued to fight off the Goblin Champion.
"That guy is stronger than I heard," Chris wondered in astonishment. "Anyway, allow me to help you out."
Bell shook his head. "No, if you have other members, then go search for them, Lilith will help you!"
The pelum was surprised at this. "Master Bell, you can't fight this Goblin alone, you don't know what he might do!"
"I'll be fine," Bell said with his goofy smile. "Trust me, Lily."
That made the girl blush. "Alright, I'll meet you later, come Chris!"
Chris had no choice, so he followed the little girl with the wounded citizen.
Bell wasn't sure what was going on, but, he sensed something evil was around, for now, he had to fight Goblin Champion.
The mysterious adventurer was watching from a path. "Looks like I arrived too late." He took out a small blade. "It's time to put the Goblins to death."
Bell is up against a Goblin Champion, will he be able to defeat it, that's anyone's guess, find out next time.
Also, those that watched Danmachi, knows that there total of 1-59 floors in the dungeons, so the 60th floor is something I came up with, so don't get mad or anything, bad review won't be tolerated.
The mysterious adventurer isn't the Goblin Slayer that you know all from Goblin Slayer, I decided to put in another OC Goblin Slayer, how is that, that's for the future chapters, but, the Goblin Slayer that you all probably know about, he will appear with his friends.
End of chapter.
