Chapter one: A new monster is born

A tan haired boy looked out into space, he was currently on a gjallarhorn spaceship from Mars to Earth. His name was Akatsuki Augus Mixta Bernstein, it was quite a long name so he just went by Akatsuki majority of the time, if someone asked for his last name he would say Mixta Bernstein. He wasn't ashamed of the name Augus but the ties to that name would cause him trouble.

The name Augus belonged to his father: Mikazuki Augus, otherwise known as the devil of Tekkadan. A disbanded organization that existed 15 years ago, even though it was a long time ago Mikazuki was still known and feared around the solar system.

He was brutal warrior who fought only on the front lines, even in his last moments of life he still fought. Until he was killed by Julieta Juris, many doubt she actually had defeated him but he had actually died of blood loss, but nevertheless she did take the credit for his death.

"Hey Akatsuki! We're having a meeting in an hour to discuss 'Valorclaw'! Makes sure your there or I'm gonna get yelled at!" A tall muscly man brown haired man said, that was Akatsuki's friend Leon. An excellent mobile suit pilot that was recognized for his skill and given a high rank in Gallarhorn.

"Yeah okay." Akatsuki answered simply.

"This is all we know about Valorclaw, they come from Pluto and have declared war on the solar system. We shouldn't take them lightly as they have destroyed multiple of our ships." Akatsuki superior stated, with a bit of sweat on his face it was easy to know he was worried about this.

"Our orders are simple, we go to earth and we meet up with Mrs. Juris and then-." The superior was interrupted when the sound of an explosion echoed throughout the ship.

Suddenly the room went red and alarms rang, alerting everyone that they have been attacked. Immediately the superior went to the phone to contact the engineer to question them about the situation.

"What's happening! It's just a problem with the ship, right?!"

"I wish it was that simple but it's it not an engineering problem, we were hit by an enemy ship!"

"Who did it!?"

"We don't know exactly but it it most likely Valor-"

The engineer was interrupted by the superior when he suddenly slammed the phone. He was sweating even more than normal, the worst possible scenario came to light. Valorclaw had one every single battle they were to fight, they hadn't fought any greatly large forces but it was still worrisome.

"V-Valorclaw they've a-attacked! What are you doing just standing around!? Go to your stations and defend the ship." The superior yelled.

Quickly all the soldiers left to there post, Akatsuki stood there silently until Leon tapped his shoulder.

"What are you doing standing there? we gotta- oh that's right, your type-X is still in the works... well I guess we gotta hope it operational soon, you are our best pilot."

"You give me to much credit but yeah... Gundam type-X: Amatsu..."

Based around the Gundam mobile suits used in the calamity war. There power was proved long ago, but since most of the original 72 were either lost or destroyed Gallarhorn decided to recreate them, creating units based around them but they are still vastly different from the old models.

Leon went over to the hanger to get into his mobile suit; X-01 Graze. An upgraded version of the original graze, it wasn't anything special as it was a mass produced model with the basic weapons; an axe and gun.

Akatsuki soon left to the hanger his mobile suit was being worked on. Akatsuki really was an excellent pilot that's why he was allowed to pilot this new generation of mobile suit.

10 minutes later...

Even though it had just been 10 minutes the battle site looked as if hours had passed. Many scraps of destroyed mobile suits drifted in the vastness of space. Valorclaw had brought up about 20 mobile, small compared to the 45 Gjallarhorn brought. But it seems the number difference was meaningless as there mobile suits were much more powerful or the pilots were more skilled.

"Damnit! What's the difference between us and these Valorclaw lunatics!" A Gjallarhorn soldier cried.

"It's probably that thing in there unit, it's just a rumor but apparently they got a more advanced Ahab reactor powered by a resource on Pluto!" Another responded.

"Pay attention you two! It doesn't matter what's different between our units and there's... we can still win this!" Leon said trying to encourage his men.

"I don't know Leon, we've already lost more than half our forces and we've only taken out two of there's from the readings!" One responded.

"Doubting yourself is when you lost half the battle... men formation B2, if your running low on fuel and ammo go back to the ship and refuel!" Leon yelled to all the men.

"Understood!" They all said in unison. There was only about 22 units left of the 45 and 10 of them went back to refuel, while the other 12 went to form formation B2 with Leon. Formation B2 was basically the units forming an arrow shape with 4 units around the head(or Leon in this scenario).

"That formation isn't going to help... okay men rush forward and attack! Make sure to aim for the head, without a leader they'll be done for!" The leader of the Valorclaw soldiers yelled to her men. She was on the frontlines of the battle in a mobile suit, her name was Emily Wilson.

"Understood!" Her men yelled through the comms.

A man with long white hair tied up in a ponytail look out of the window of the main ship of the Valorclaw fleet watching the fight. He had fair skin and was fairly tall, he looked to be around 20. His grey eyes analyzed the battle.

He was the Knight of Winter of Valorclaw.

The Knights of the four seasons: Winter, Summer, Spring, and Autumn.

That was the highest rank a person could achieve in Valorclaw. This rank allowed them to do as they please and order anyone. This elite group of Knights answered directly to her majesty, the queen of Pluto and leader of Valorclaw. The very person who declared war on the solar system.

"Sir Winter, there's no need to worry yourself on this battle- Ms. Wilson should be able to finish this without your supervision." A subordinate had said trying to sound as respectful as possible.

"Oh, I very well understand. She is a very capable woman and I know she can win if she can keep up the pressure, but alas there are many unknown variables to combat." The Knight of Winter spoke in a soft tone. "The tide of war can change in a blink of an eye." He continued.

"I-I see! Please forgive me for my stupidity and this attack on your front!" The subordinate stuttered.

The Knight of Winter simply stared at his underling before snickering and walking away to his room.

"Please contact me if theres a problem, but if my 'supervision' isn't need I'll be in my room." He said before existing the door.

He honestly hated when that happened. When some gravels to there knees and begs for forgiveness for doing a minuscule thing. He liked it when his subordinates would bite back a bit. There's no fun in it otherwise.

Akatsuki stared at the machine he would pilot soon.

Gundam type-X: Amatsu

It was a primarily white and black machine with red accents, the manipulators had red claws instead of fingers and red power symbols on the should and thighs and of course the Gjallarhorn symbol on the chest plate. For the weapons it had two grey pistols with blades underneath the barrel and a giant sword on its back, the back was a pair of wings similar to that of Gundam Bael.

"They say it primarily based on the original Barbatos, not the lupus Rex that devil of Tekkadan had used." A voice spoke from behind.

Akatsuki looked behind him to see a brown haired man about his height, he had a fair skin with a bit of muscle but not that much.

"Oh, I see." Akatsuki responded simply.

"Oh- how rude of me! I'm Sho Kudan, of the engineering corp! Nice to meet you Akatsuki Mixta Bernstein!"

"It's a mouthful..." Akatsuki muttered.

"I beg your pardon?"

"My name... it's a mouthful, just call me Akatsuki."

"Oh I see"

"So, Sho are you the head engineer on this?"

"Oh I wish, Mr. Dangi is the head engineer!" He said while pointing on a man near the Gundam.

He was tall lanky man with short unkept black hair, he was wearing a dirty white lab coat and blue jeans with a pair of pink slippers. His skin was pale but had some black oil bits here and there.

"So, uh, Akatsuki you excited to pilot this thing?"

"Hmm? Why would I be?"

"Huh?! This is the first in a new generation of mobile suits! It's one of a kind! Like no other! Why wouldn't you be excited about being the first ever to pilot a Gundam type-X!" Sho exclaimed.

"It doesn't matter, a mobile suit is a mobile suit. The only difference is the performance and gimmicks, right?"

"What?! No! It's a completely different unit that was based around some of the original 72 Gundam frames of the calamity war! A totally different unit that you have piloted!"

Before Sho could continue his ramble about how great the type-X was Akatsuki jumped off the railing to talk to Dangi about the progress in the suit.

"Hey, Mr. Dangi, right? how's the progress so far?"

"Eh? Oh you must be Akatsuki, well- it's okay... but it looks like our work will be all for not." Dangi sighed.

"Why's that?"

"The lower half is completely unoperational and with this fight going on... well we'll lose and the ship will be destroyed, we will die, type-X will be a waste of time and money... well I'm going on my lunch break, nice knowing you for these 2 minutes!" Dangi said nonchalantly as he then began hopping away in zero gravity.

"Wait a minute."

"Eh? What is it Mr. Mixta Bernstein?" Dangi said as he turned around to face the tan haired boy.

"If the upper half works it can fight right?"

"Eh? You got a death wish- I don't get payed enough for this, yeah it can fight, it'll just harder to maneuver." The two men stared at each other, Dangi began to understand the boy a bit, before a small smile appeared on his face.

"Leon the eighteen left in their forces are rushing to us!" A solider screamed.

"Damnit! The two soldiers infront of me, I know it a lot ask but hold them off. The two behind me go back to the ship and get the mini-dainsleif!"

"Understood!!" The four soldiers said in unison.

As soon as the said that the Valorclaw force attacked them, the two units defended Leon to there best ability but it was clear they were gonna get overpowered. Leon had no choice but to go back closer to the ship and rendezvous with the two who left to get the mini-dainsleif and the ammo.

The mini-dainsleif was simply a smaller version of the dainsleif. It was much weaker than the original but still packed a punch, but since it was weaker it was not illegal to use and so atleast one was carried on a ship.

"Damnit, if only Akatsuki was here... what's the progress on the mini-dainsleif?" Leon asked the two men.

"We're coming your way right now! But sir there's only one piece of ammo, there's no way we can hit them all, are you gonna aim for the ship?" One of them asked.

"Honestly I'm not sure, the range ain't that great... so I'll need to get close... I know it's a lot ask but-" Leon was interrupted when one of them spoke.

"It's fine sir, we'll guard you while you get closer to there ship!" The soldier said.

"Agreed!" The other one spoke.

"You guys..."

The two soldiers met up with Leon and as quickly as they could equipped the mini-dainsleif onto his X-01 graze. The three men then rushed over to the main enemy ship, there was three enemy ships in total but it was obvious which one was the main one as it was double the size.

Out of the twenty soldiers, only five of the ten came back from refueling. But since then the nine soldiers(not counting Leon and the two other men) four of them had been taken out. Making the grand total 10 soldiers fighting the 18 soldiers of the Valorclaw fleet.

"Ms. Wilson three of there men are going around us and heading towards the main ship, should we purs-." The soldier was interrupted by Emily herself.

"It's no worry keep up the pressure, do remember the Knight of Winter is onboard or do you doubt his ability and by that doubt her majesty's choice?" Emily questioned.

"W-what?! No! Oh heavens no! I don't doubt the power of our Knight of Winter neither do I doubt her majesty's decision!"

"The Knight of Winter- or should I say Noel? Well anyway he's is right these soldiers have no gall whatsoever." Emily thought.

Emily looked to the three soldiers that snuck past her and immediately noticed the weapon they carried.

"A mini-dainsleif! At point blank range it could destroy our ship, damnit it... I'll just have to take them out with my railgun." Emily thought as she discarded her rifle and equipped her railgun from back.

She focused her aim until it locked on to the unit equipped with the mini-dainsleif.

"It's time to end this fight."

3.

"Leon an enemy soldier is taking aim!"

2.

"Huh? Damnit, it's a railgun, a complete lock-on it'll be hard to dodge!"

1.

"Don't worry I'll protect you Leon!"

"No your unit isn't equipped for that!"

Fire!

The railgun fired and what as seemed to be at light speed was closing in on Leon.

Closer.

Closer.

Death was practically breath on his neck.

Swoosh

As cloud a smoke appeared telling everyone it had hit something.

"Are you guys alright?" Leon asked to the two men.

"Uh... yeah... I'm alive? But how?"

"Yeah me too!"

"Sorry I'm late Leon."

"That voice... Akatsuki! The type-X is operational?"

"Nope, the legs don't work but we're in space so that doesn't really matter, but getting here in time was a struggle."

The smoke cleared revealing the Gundam type-X: Amatsu. In front of it was an red energy shield, telling everyone present that this weird energy in a form of a thin hexagon protected the gundam and the people behind it.

"Hmm. The energy shield system seems to work, an automatic shield that appears to protect me. Shield were annoying to carry anyhow." Akatsuki thought.

"That unit, scanning the reactor... what? it's not in our database? Must be a new unit, but to block a railgun at full power with that flimsy red thing infront of it... this could be a problem." Emily thought

The gundam took his two pistols from its side and aimed them at the enemies infront. They must've been fairly power pistols but if a shot didn't do them in the blades underneath the barrel could definitely do something and of course he had a giant sword on his back.

The wings on the backs seemed to light up a brighter signifying it was charging up to head towards the enemy.

"Time to... dominate this playing field! Right, Amatsu?" Akatsuki said aloud.
