Everyone had ventured outside to show Caspian where everything else was. Their memories of their former homely house would never go away. Susan walked over to where the south wing once stood, and lying on the grass was one of her old hair pins. Caspian walked over to her, much to Peter's dismay.

"Are you alright, your majesty?"

"I'm fine. Just the memories of our life here are very overwhelming at the moment. Right where we are now was the south wing of the castle. The south wing was where my room was. I was crowned in the direction of the radiant southern sun. I would wake up to the sunrise, and Peter and Ivar were the ones to go to sleep to the sunset."

"If I may, your majesty, I think Alan crowning you in the direction of the radiant southern sun was wise, but the sun is not as radiant as you are."

Susan looked up at Caspian, trying to hide her blush as much as possible.

"Thank you, Caspian."

"When Professor Cornelius would tell me stories of the Golden Age, he said that you had many suitors."

"That is true. I grew into a tall woman, and my hair fell down to my feet. My statue in the treasure room captures that look better."

"It captures your beauty, yes, but it does not capture your fire and fighting spirit."

"The one thing a painting or sculpture can never do. Edmund would wake up to a full green forest, though of course not every day. Peter and Ivar would wake up to a bright blue sky, when it was good weather. Lucy and Kayla would wake up to the sea nymphs and water sprites making their splashes loud enough for the whole world to hear."

"I know that Ivar was given the title of Baron of the Marshlands, Guardian of the Marsh-Wiggles, and it makes sense that he would want to be in the north wing not only because of the Marshlands, but because it faces towards Ettinsmoor."

"Kayla really should have been in either the south or west wing, close to Dancing Lawn. But she stayed in the east wing so she could be close to Terebinthia."

"What was your year away from this world like?"

"I think I was the quickest one to accept that we lived in the other world, though of course, we all wanted to come back here. When we left here, we were thrown back into our young bodies. It was hard to go from an adult back into a child. To the other world, we were wiser than we should have been. Peter, Ivar, and Edmund kept getting into fights. I think that was to make up for the fact that they couldn't lead an army there. Kayla would also pick fights, when she was provoked. That never changed about her. She also cried every day, worried about what was happening in Terebinthia while she was gone. And Lucy was constantly holding out hope that we would come back."

"And what did you do, your majesty?"

"I always wanted to be left alone. Solitude seemed to suit me. I no longer woke up with the sunrise. We didn't know how to handle it. Six people who lead armies with and against creatures that in the other world don't exist, had to go back to living like it never happened. The only one who knew about it was Professor Kirke. It was in his house that we came across the wardrobe. He has been here before. He was here when Narnia was created, and he was here when our ancestors King Frank I and Queen Helen were crowned."

Off in the distance, Peter could see the two of them talking, watching how close they were to each other.

"You needn't worry, Peter. Caspian is a gentleman."

"I know he is."

"Peter, I can read your mind. You're comparing him to Rabadash, when they are nothing alike. Don't you dare even go down that road."

"I just don't like how he is with her."

"Don't like how he is with her, name one suitor that she had that was even a little bit respectful!"

Peter did not say any names.

"That's right, you can't, 'cause there weren't any. Caspian sees her first and foremost as a woman. He knows she's a woman who cannot be controlled. He's not after her throne. If anything, I'm the one that's getting the suitors like that. Do you have any idea how many men in this world want to be the man behind the curtain of the Terebinthian throne?"

"I can imagine how many."

"Just earlier today, the Telmarine lords tried to convince Susan, Lucy, and myself that we need to marry. It didn't end well for them."

"What happened?"

Just then, Caspian and Susan walked up to the group.

"We told them the story of Queen Elizabeth."

"They were mainly telling me that I need an heir for the Terebinthian throne, and I told them I already have two. The Terebinthian line is secure. The word woman does not mean marriage."

"Didn't our Aunt Bliss never marry, Kayla?"

"That is correct. She did court Vortigern, that's why he was in Terebinthia. But she sent him back to Camelot alive on the condition that he would never set foot on any island in the Eastern Sea again, otherwise, he would be killed on sight."

"Why was he sent back to Camelot?"

"Because he violated MamaĆ. MamaĆ succeed Aunt Bliss when she died. The Telmarine lords were bold enough to think we could be married off to form an alliance. Our bodies were not made for agreements. The only time the fate of a country should depend on a woman is when she is ruling over that country."

"Which lords tried to convince you to marry?"

"Lords Donnon, Gigrir, Sathar, and Balvenos."

"Just as I thought. They have got to be replaced. As soon as possible."

"Donnon said women are weak, so I punched him."

"You punched him, Kayla?"

"What? He was asking for it! I am not weak!"

Kayla could only read the minds that were around her, which is why she hated crowds. It was always a bummer for her at balls and parties. When she lived in London, she hated walking in big crowds, for too many thoughts clouded her mind at once. She only wished she could read the minds of the Telmarine lords at that moment.

"Kayla?"

"Hmm?"

"Since we do have the power of fire, do Susan and I have the power to read minds?"

"I have no idea. Why don't you try it? What is Edmund thinking about?"

"Why do I have to be the victim?"

"Cause it's fun."

"He's thinking about a game of hide-and-seek!"

"Lucy, why did you tell everyone?!"

"Hide-and-seek it is! You can play the game too, Caspian. Actually, why don't we have Caspian be the seeker?"

"I thought you would have me do it since I was the seeker last time?"

"Last time?"

"We were playing hide-and-seek when Lucy first came across the wardrobe."

"What should I count to?"

"One hundred."

The others ran off, leaving Caspian to count.

"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen."

Ivar hid in the treasure room.

"Seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-one, thirty-two."

Kayla hid in the cave on the beach.

"Thirty-three, thirty-four, thirty-five, thirty-six, thirty-seven, thirty-eight, thirty-nine, forty, forty-one, forty-two, forty-three, forty-four, forty-five, forty-six, forty-seven, forty-eight."

Edmund hid in a tree.

"Forty-nine, fifty, fifty-one, fifty-two, fifty-three, fifty-four, fifty-five, fifty-six, fifty-seven, fifty-eight, fifty-nine, sixty, sixty-one, sixty-two, sixty-three, sixty-four."

Peter hid behind a boulder.

"Sixty-five, sixty-six, sixty-seven, sixty-eight, sixty-nine, seventy, seventy-one, seventy-two, seventy-three, seventy-four, seventy-five, seventy-six, seventy-seven, seventy-eight, seventy-nine, eighty."

Susan hid behind a stone pillar.

"Eighty-one, eighty-two, eighty-three, eighty-four, eighty-five, eighty-six, eighty-seven, eighty-eight, eighty-nine, ninety, ninety-one, ninety-two, ninety-three, ninety-four, nine-five, ninety-six."

And Lucy hid in the bushes.

"Ninety-seven, ninety-eight, ninety-nine, one-hundred! Ready or not, here I come!"

Caspian instinctively ran to the boulders, and found Peter first.

"I figured someone would be hiding here."

"It's too easy of a spot."

Caspian then ran off to the nearby pillar, where he found Susan.

"I knew I'd be next. I've only been good at this game once."

"This seems to be easy so far."

He then heard rustling in the bushes, and he surprised Lucy. He threw he over his shoulder and brought her to Peter.

"Caspian! Put me down!"

"I'm handing you to Peter! Now, where could the other three be hiding?"

"I'm clueless. Those are the three most cunning minds in the land. They could be anywhere."

Peter looked around for any sign of the others, when his eyes landed on the treasure room door.

"Why don't you try the treasure room first?"

Caspian opened the treasure room door and ran down the stairs, where he found Ivar hiding behind his statue.

"Good spot don't you think?"

"I still can't believe we're playing this game."

"It's a strategy game, isn't it?"

"In a way."

"I've already found Peter, Lucy, and Queen Susan."

"I have an idea where Kayla is, but I won't tell because we need to keep the game fair."

"I'll go look for Edmund next."

As he walked out of the treasure room, a tree branch above began crackling, and Edmund came falling down.

"Edmund! Are you alright?!"

"I've been through worse, Caspian."

"Can you stand?"

"Yes. Nothing's broken."

"Good. Kayla is the last one I have to find."

"Too late, Caspian. I thought no one would be able to find out where I was."

"Where were you hiding?"

"In the cave on the beach."

"Which one of you is the best at drawing?"

"That would be Lucy."

"Lucy?"

"Yes, Caspian?"

"Would you be willing to draw me pictures of Cair Paravel? From every detail you remember? Top to bottom."

"Yes, but why?"

"I've made the decision. I'm going to rebuild Cair Paravel."

As soon as Caspian said those words, the others ran up to him and hugged him tightly.
