As George got in the car he greeted Tommy's dad and sat down in the backseat, where Tubbo had previously been. He was now in the middle between Ranboo and George.
Not many minutes later George dozed off with his head resting against the window. For the next two hours there wasn't much said in the car. Due to respecting that George needed to sleep.
"Tubbo, take a picture." Tommy whispered and handed his phone to Tubbo.
"Of what?" Tubbo asked, a bit confused.
"George of course." Tubbo looked at George and took Tommy's phone. He took a couple of pictures before handing it back to Tommy. He mumbled a 'thanks' and did something with his phone.
"What are you doing with them?" Ranboo asked, referring to the photos.
"Oh, you know, just sending them to some people." Tommy said nonchalantly while Ranboo got a notification on his phone.
"Some people? You mean the whole smp?" He asked while looking at the Dream smp group chat where Tommy had sent one of the pictures capturing it 'sleeping Gogy'.
Badboyhalo
Tell me that you at least asked for permission before taking and sending that.
TommyInnit
Hard to ask a sleeping man for permission
WilburSoot
You're really out here taking pictures of a sleeping grown up man.
Sapnap
Grown up? Yeah, sure
TommyInnit
You really think George has something against this?
Dream
He won't
He knows how hot he is
Tommy couldn't help but feel a bit bad for George. He could only imagine how it was to be in love with your best friend and then for them to act like this. They were both already acting like a couple, but having that and wishing for it to be real must be hard. Really hard. Well, speaking of hard:
Sapnap
Dont go and get all horny now Dream
Dream
WHAT?!
Sapnap what is wrong with you?
Your disgusting!
Sapnap
Got you there
About an hour later they arrived at the trampoline park and George woke up with a yawn.
"Good morning." Ranboo said as George got out of the car, yawning again. He just blinked and looked around a bit confused. "You okay?"
"Yeah yeah just had a weird Dream."
"Weird Dream huh?" Tommy joked while carefully studying George's reaction. George frowned and looked guilty. He could feel how red he was and was extremely embarrassed when Tommy looked at him and smiled knowingly. George quickly turned away avoiding looking at them.
"Should we...uh...go in?" George asked them.
"Tom?" Tommy's dad asked and looked at his son for confirmation "Call me if anything happens." He then looked to George. "And since you are the only adult I trust that you take care of them." George nodded.
"'Course." Tommy's dad then waved as he drove off. George looked at the others and gesticulated towards the entrance of the building. Since it was summer it was pretty hot outside. Inside however, it was almost so cold that you freezed. But George was thankful for that. It just meant that they wouldn't overheat when doing something physical. Some workers greeted them inside.
"Hello, we booked the trampoline park for the next four hours." Tommy said and the woman behind the counter smiled at them.
"Okay, in what name?" She asked and Tommy answered.
"George Davidson." The woman typed in something on the computer on the counter. It was required to be over 18 years old to be able to book. And since George was the only over 18 they had booked it in his name.
"Okay, can i have a legitimation?" George stepped forward and handed it to her. She looked at the picture on the card and then back up at him. She smiled again. "Well great. I'm just going to explain some rules regarding security and stuff like that. I was also informed that you were filming a video of some sort." Tommy confirmed and they walked over to some seats. As George got back his legitimation Tommy took it from his hands.
"Wow, the pretty privilege is real. You are the only person who has a good picture on their legitimation." George just shook his head disappointingly and took back the card and put it in his bag again.
After hearing of the rules and changing into some better clothes they were all ready to go. As they were walking towards the trampolines, Tubbo made an observation.
"God, did you see how she kept looking at George? I won't be surprised if she starts to flirt with him next." He whispered so only the four of them would be able to hear.
"Tubbo!" Both Ranboo and Tommy scolded him.
"What?" Tubbo asked while getting serious looks from the two others. He seemed to have realized when he turned to George. "Sorry." George just shrugged it off.
After filming and jumping for about 1,5 hours with small breaks here and there, they decided to take a more official break. Meaning buying drinks and food. They had filmed a lot of bits but also just hung out without cameras. Now they were all sitting on their own couch drinking slushies and eating pizza. George was on his phone and the others were having a conversation about something that had to do with Youtube.
Just as he was about to turn off his phone, someone called him. To no one's surprise it was Dream.
"Hey, something happened?" He asked after answering thinking that it was something urgent.
"No."
"Dream," George signed. "You're only supposed to call my phone if it's something important." They had made that deal a long time ago when they first gave each other their phone numbers.
"Oh, so I'm not important to you?" Dream jokingly asked in a serious tone.
"Of course you are." George answered truthfully, a bit too sincere. More than you will ever know.
"Uh...so how is it going?" Dream asked awkwardly.
"With…?"
"The vlog, the trampolines? I don't know."
"The trampolines?" George questioned.
"Yes." George snickered.
"Good I guess."
"Mhm."
"George?" Tommy called out and he turned his head to look at him.
"Yeah?" He asked and Tommy gesticulated to the camera. "Oh yeah, just wait a minute." He turned his focus back to his phone and Dream. "Seems like I have to go."
"Oh, well do you wanna do something tonight? A movie?"
"Yeah sure, bye!"
"Bye!" He hung up and put away his phone in his bag.
"It can't be easy." Ranboo stated.
"...What do you mean?" George asked even though he kinda got what he meant.
"The way he acts...it's weird and so flirty and teasing." Ranboo said, struggling to explain his statement.
"I guess so." They went on to film more bits and about one and a half hours later no one of them had the energy to keep jumping. Even though their time was not up they decided to leave early. After changing clothes and getting ready to leave they went to the reception to pay. George, who now was paying more attention saw how the receptionist winked at him when they left, blushed.
They did not have to wait long before Tommy's dad came to pick them up. This time George was the one who sat in the front seat while the three others were in the backseat.
"Can I play some music?" Tommy asked his dad.
"Yeah." A couple moments later 'Mask' started to play in the car. George smiled and looked over his shoulders.
"What? It's a good song." Tommy defended himself. George shaked his head and picked up his phone. He was bored and went to the Dream smp group chat he had muted a couple days ago due to spamming. He scrolled up to read the messages he had missed and it started similar to what he was expecting. Just normal messages about planned streams on the smp and other information that was important. He then got to a picture of himself sleeping, posted and taken earlier that day.
"Tommy!" He said as he turned around and held up his phone for Tommy to see.
"Right, I forgot about that." The song ended and 'Roadtrip' started to play.
"You really don't listen to anything else other than his songs in your free time." George said and turned back in his seat.
"Can't I support my friends' music?" George didn't have a response so he stayed quiet.
"Who is it?" Tommy's dad asked.
"Dream, George's boyfriend."
"Oh my god-" George muttered.
"Really?"
"No."
After talking to George he debated going to sleep for a bit since George wasn't going to be home for a while. But before he could talk himself into it he was already on Twitter again. Damn this was not a healthy obsession. Funny enough the third tweet on his timeline was a hate one.
/George neg
It's kinda obvious that George is only friends with Dream for clout and for fame. He won't even say that he loves Dream. George is just using him for money and isn't actually his friend.
From the replies to the Tweet and from the account's previous tweets, it seemed as if they were serious. Dream, who was a bit impulsive, began typing out a reply.
Dream Dreamwastaken
LMAO WHAT? He has been my best friend for YEARS. Long before I even started with all the Youtube and streams. So how can it be for clout?
Before being able to register what he was really doing he had posted it.
"Shit." He swore out loud. He was supposed to be on a break away from the internet, not impulsively tweeting at hate comments. Welp, it was too late now, even if he deleted it.
Well hello Mr.I'm-taking-a-break /j You deserve a good and however long of a break you want. Don't let anybody say anything else.
He smiled and liked the Tweet. Then he came up with an idea. Taking a drive was always quite fun and it would make the time pass fast. Without even considering telling Sapnap where he was going, he just left. But he had barely gotten out of the neighborhood when he got a text.
Sapnap
Where are you?
Dream
Just out driving, i'll be back soon
Sapnap
K. Be safe
At the beginning of the drive he didn't think of anything special, he just let his mind wander and was just thinking about what he saw. What then went wrong was that he saw a big billboard where the main colors were blue and green. Even worse were that the colors were the exact shades of the DNF colors.
His head began to think a hundred different thoughts at once and the feelings he had so long tried to avoid all came back at once. Out here there was absolutely nothing that could distract him from the thoughts and therefore they just became worse and worse.
If George ever found out, he would despise Dream, hate him and think he was gross. If he ever found out, there was no going back. He would ruin their friendship and they could never go back to the way they were. He started to feel a bit dizzy and tightened his grip around the steering wheel. His friends would think he was weird and it would all fall apart. The whole community he had built would be ruined, all these years would be for nothing. He would lose George…Maybe...Maybe he should just end it all now and never tell George...Then he would never be forced to see his disgusted face or hear his hating voice.
Tears ran down on his cheeks and he began to realize the symptoms. "Not now, not now. Fuck!" He panted.
His vision began to blur and he could barely see anything. His heavy breaths and sobs did not make it easier. Then all of a sudden he felt how his face was shoved against the front window and everything went black.
Sapnap wouldn't say he was exactly worried about where Dream was. Sometimes the dude just needed some time for himself, but today he felt like something was wrong. Dream had said he would be back soon but it had been over an hour. He had tried to call him but the call didn't go through. Shit, what was he supposed to do? Okay, maybe he was a bit worried.
His thoughts were interrupted by a call and he hoped it would be Dream. It wasn't, instead it was a number he didn't recognize.
"Hello?"
"Hi, is this Nick *******." A male voice asked, very formal.
"Um, yes?"
"You are the first name listed on emergency calls for Clay ******* which means you are the first one the hospital calls if something happens to him." Sapnap began to get a bit more than just worried now.
"Ok...has something happened to him?" He asked when the caller seemed to expect an answer.
"Yes, unfortunately Clay has been in a car accident. Are you able to come to the hospital now?" Sapnap was quiet as he stared at the walls in shock. A car accident? What the hell?
"Uh, yes which one?" As he got the answer he realized he wouldn't have a car to take. He would have to take an uber.
Dream slowly blinked and tried to come back to consciousness. But he couldn't really open his eyes because the room was so white and bright. He was aware of voices in the room but he could not register what they meant. It went black again.
The next time he woke up it was more clear. Both the room and the voices.
"He's awake." One voice said and he opened his eyes.
"Sir, can you hear me?" A woman asked and he nodded. "Great. Can you tell me your name?"
"Cl-Clay." His throat was dry and it was hard to get the word out. He cleared his throat.
"Clay? Okay, can you tell me how old you are?"
"21."
"Amazing and do you have any siblings?" He nodded. "How many?"
"Uh...three."
"Fantastic." She wrote something on a paper she had. She then turned around to another person who he presumed was a doctor. "It doesn't seem like any brain damage or memory loss." The other doctor nodded.
"That's good." He said. Then they both turned to Dream who was still laying on a hospital bed.
"Im Dr. Jones and this is Dr. Miller." The male doctor introduced them. "Do you remember what happened, Clay?" He tried to search in his memories for it but it was as if it had been deleted. He slowly shaked his head. "Okay, Clay...you were in a car accident." Dream stared at him with wide eyes and suddenly it was as if it all came back. The thoughts, the symptoms and the crash. He tried to get up in a sitting position but a sudden pain made him stop. "Easy, easy." The doctor said and put a hand on his shoulder. "Even though we didn't find any serious injuries doesn't mean that you aren't still hurt."
"What exactly happened?" Dream asked in a weak voice.
"Are you sure you can take it?" Dr. Miller asked and he nodded. "Ok, so you crashed into a tree and hit your head against the front window. Luckily no one else was hurt, except for you." Dream felt like a little weight lifted from his shoulders. At least he hadn't hurt anyone else.
"Sir, I just wanted to let you know that we have already called your emergency contacts and we were able to reach them both. Right now they are probably on their way." Dr. Jones said and Dream tried to think back to who he had as emergency contacts. Right, it was his mom and Sapnap.
"What will happen now?" He asked and looked at the two doctors.
"Well, we are going to have to ask you about where you feel pain and all that and you will probably have to stay at the hospital for a couple of days."
Sapnap was not thinking straight, and when he wasn't thinking straight he did dumb things, like calling his best friend and telling him that his other best friend, whom he was in love with, had been in a car accident.
"What?" George asked, not being able to say more.
"I don't know dude. They just called from the hospital to say that he had been in a car accident. I'm waiting for an uber right now."
"But wait, is he okay?"
"I don't know, they didn't tell me." Sapnap distressingly said as he looked around for the uber. "Wait, I think I see it!" He said as he spotted a car moving towards him.
"Sapnap, don't you dare hang up on me!" George's voice was very serious.
"I'm sorry but I have to, but I promise to update you as soon as I know!"
"Nick-'' He hung up and felt really bad. Obviously George cared much for Dream but Sapnap couldn't handle having him here as an echo of his own worriedness, so this was the only solution.
The ride to the hospital took forever and as soon as he had paid the driver he was out of the car. He rushed inside into the reception and was more surprised than he should have been when he saw Dream's mom there. She immediately spotted him and they shared a quick hug.
"Oh my god Nick i'm so glad you are okay. I wasn't sure if you had been there with him, they were so vague over the phone."
"I know, I know. Did you just get here?" He asked and she nodded.
"Yes, I was just about to go to the receptionist. Come on." They both went forward to the counter.
"Hi can you please tell us where Clay ****** is?"
"What is your relation to the patient?"
"Mother and roommate." Dream's mom answered for him.
"I'm sorry, but only family members are allowed in."
"But we consider him a part of the family." She argued and the receptionist looked as if he didn't want to argue, so he just let it pass. After following the directions they ended up in front of a door with the number '364' written on it. Sapnap knocked and the door opened.
