Hey! So my name's Roxy Goth and this is an idea I had. I got a review for a previous story of mine called 'How Hero's For Hire Got Set Up' [Which is uncompleted] which reminded me about this fandom and the fact it's been 10 years since it started airing.
Thus - this story - the very vague idea I've got is that this is going to include the story of how the hero's for hire got set up, which I wanted to do about five years ago, but ran out of steam on. [I also fell out of love with the show and Marvel in general]
Anyway - so I'm posting this to see what sort of reception it gets and how many people view it. Then I may continue it.
Final Thing - I do not own USM or any Marvel Characters at all.

"Peter, you have a letter."
Hearing this, Peter sighed and looked up from the news report he was watching. "It's not a bill is it?"
"I don't think so. It looks like it's from SHIELD actually?"
Ah. Not going to be good news then. SHIELD didn't send out letters for the sheer fun of it. If anything they preferred to either send you something electronic that self-destructs in five seconds, so this was weird.
The idea that this wasn't from SHIELD but from something/someone else masquerading as SHIELD did cross Peter's mind, so he told his Aunt he was heading out, pecked her on the cheek and legged it before she could stop him.
"I swear Fury, if this is one of your weird tricks..." Peter muttered, as he hurried through the street. He chose a quiet secluded area and opened the letter.
To Mr Parker. [The letter said]
We are honoured to invite you to SHIELD's ten-year reunion of your first team.
On 1st April 2022 at approximately 14:00 you will be met by a helicopter which will transport you to the tri-carrier. There you will see the rest of your previous team-mates, all of whom have accepted the invitation.
Please tear off the bottom of this slip if you are going to come and send it back. Just leave it outside your house under the mat. Trust us, we'll find it.
Looking forward to seeing you soon,
SHIELD
Having read this Peter felt a smile spreading across his face. Now in his late 20's, he hadn't seen his first team all together for about 8 years. They'd all been 21 when they graduated and despite promising to stay in touch that hadn't happened. Sure he'd seen them about - the amount of hero's and villains in New York they were bound to run into each other eventually - but due to the aforementioned villains they hadn't really had a chance to talk properly. It tended to be more 'Watch out, White Tiger!' while she snarled back at him. 'I can SEE, Doofus!" - that kind of thing.
Nova, he hadn't even seen since graduation. The guy had re-joined his 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' and not been seen since. What with being in outer-space and everything.
Ava was one he DID see and saw quite frequently. She did a lot of fighting on her own and had developed something of a reputation for being a one-women power house, more than capable of taking on about five bad guys at a time. At least every time he saw her, he was reassured that she hadn't given into the amulet.
Talking of which, Iron Fist and Power Man. He saw Power Man occasionally in much the same way he saw Ava, usually in the process of knocking someone out with his fist. Either that or throwing them headfirst at brick walls. To be fair to him every time Luke recognised him he always said a 'Hey Spidey' and - if he had the time - asked after Aunt May, so you know. He was trying.
Iron First - who knows? Last he heard at graduation Iron First was heading back to Kun Lun to become supreme leader of the monks or something like that and he hadn't been seen since. Spidey had actually tried to ask Luke a few times if he'd seen Danny anytime recently - seeing as the pair of them had been really close during school and training - but every time Power Man just gave a vague reply of. "I'm sure he's fine." Before pretty much running off.
Spidey re-read the letter again. ALL his teammates had replied and said they were coming. Danny must be included in that - no way anyone could ever forget Fortune-Cookie once they'd met him - so at least his Kingly duties weren't to much that he couldn't break away for an afternoon here and there.
Spidey nodded and headed back home. It'd be nice to see them all again. Hopefully they were all alright.
