Hey! I'm back. Thank you to Blues and MadHare0512 for reviewing the last chapter.

See chapter one for the disclaimer and let's crack on.

The journey to Kun Lun took several hours, during which time the heroes entertained each other with tales of their current adventures while reminiscing on their old ones.

"Doctor Doom though-" Peter chucked and ran a hand through his hair. "Oh, Doctor Doom-!"

"Yeah." Luke smiled while helping himself to more wine. "Tell you what if I'd have known I was gonna end up workin' for the guy I'd have never punched him so hard."

The plane suddenly jerked and Coulson's voice came over the intercom. "We're going to try and land now. I suggest you hold on tight."

The four heroes looked at each other and grabbed onto the nearest solid object. The reason for Coulson's advice soon became clear - Kun Lun being located in a mountain didn't have a landing strip, so Coulson was trying to land the plane as safely as he could on snow, ice and the odd bit of solid ground.

This was proving difficult as they slid across the ground - the mountains rushing past them in rapid successions - after a few terrifying seconds the plane came to a stop when the snow slowed it down enough.

"...Sweet Christmas." Luke gasped, relaxing his grip on the arm of the his chair a little. Half the arm fell off, Luke having literally cracked it with his strength.

After checking they were all alright, Coulson opened the doors and the five of them trooped out. [They'd left Fury behind because the man had to much to do]

Kun Lun had not changed much. It was still essentially a city within the mountains, the most dominant feature of it being the massive temple/palace that stood on the highest point.

Peter looked at it and groaned. "Don't tell me he's all the way up there!"

"He was last time." Luke said, by way of answer before starting the hike.

Parker groaned again.

Ava gave him a light kick on his ankle. "C'mon, Webhead. The faster we find him the faster we can get back."

Hard to argue with logic like that, Peter thought to himself as he made himself move.

One excruciatingly painful climb later and they were at the palace. [Spidey stubbornly referred to it as a palace, it was grand enough to be one. The entire place had a gold-shine on it]

Coulson wasted no time in knocking at the palace door and waiting. Almost immediately - as if someone was waiting behind it - the door was opened by a monk, who looked at them quizzically.

Coulson introduced himself and the team and asked if 'the King' was available. Spidey immediately thought of Mufasa with Danny's head. He shook his head quickly to get rid of the image.

The monk - by way of answer - gestured for them to follow him and they were led through about three different corridors each one with more things in it than the last.

Luke was towards the back of the group, taking everything in. Like he might expect, knowing Danny quite well, there seemed to be only one picture of him in the whole entire place - and that had been by the entrance - the rest of the place was covered in candles and pictures of 'alternate' art. Mainly the type with lots of different shapes and stuff that Luke knew there was a name for but couldn't think of it.

They finally ended up in a big white room. The monk shut the door on them and went [presumably] to find Danny.

Luke looked round. A big room with only a relatively-simple looking throne in it, now this was more the Danny he knew.

Vague voices that got louder as two people came towards them. One of them was Danny, the other presumably the monk. This was confirmed when the door opened.

"Friends." Danny couldn't keep the surprise out his voice. "What are you doing here?"

Luke laughed and Danny coloured slightly. "Forgive me, I did not mean that how it sounded. But, seriously, what has brought you all to Kun Lun?"

Coulson took the lead and explained what had happened. As he explained Danny looked more and more confused until he eventually held up his hand. "Forgive me for interrupting, Coulson, but this doesn't make any sense. I neither received or sent a letter from or to you."

Coulson had clearly been anticipating this because he removed the letter from his inside pocket and presented it to Danny, who took it and scrutinised it. "This isn't my handwriting." He stated, after a moment.

"We know that, that's why we're here."

The blonde man looked up, still frowning. He looked at Luke who sighed and explained.

"We thought something bad may have happened to you."

Danny smiled gently and started to assure them he was fine. Unfortunately the blood-curdling shriek from outside the palace stopped him dead and he turned on his heals and ran out of the room.

The other five looked at each other before running after him.
