Later that day, Apple had called Briar out to the gazebo in the Enchanted Forest.

"Why did you want to talk to me out here?" asked Briar while walking up to her BFFA.

"Last night Raven told me something and I'm still really surprised by it and need to talk with you about it," said Apple.

"What did she tell you?" asked Briar.

"She told me that there are people who like others of the same gender as them, but I've never heard of such a thing before now," said Apple.

"Dear Godmother, did you really not know about the gay community?" asked a shocked Briar.

"No, but you apparently did," said Apple.

"Because I've not been sheltered my entire life," said Briar, which surprised the blonde.

"What even made Raven tell you this in the first place?" asked Briar.

"I thought Amity wasn't feeling well when we told her that she would be rooming with Luz while here, but Raven told me that Amity has a crush on Luz and was just nervous," said Apple.

"There were some other things she said two, but now the big thing is that I'm confused on why I never knew anything about this and I'm hoping you can help feel in the blanks," she said.

"From what I know, the gay community had more freedom up until your grandmother took the throne," said Briar.

"She made it illegal for them to marry and even tried to make the mere act of being gay illegal," she said.

"She what?" asked a horrified Apple.

"Yeah, but luckily your mother overthrew her before she could do so, but then she tried her best to cover up the whole incident, only a few families in Ever After actually know the truth," said Briar.

"I… I can't believe it," said Apple whose whole body felt numb, and her heart and mind were racing.
