Four hours later they landed back in Edinburgh and made their way towards the hotel. Once they arrived back to their hotel suite Rory made her way towards her case and grabbed her laptop.

"Finn, I just need to make a few calls and sort out this issue in the office if that's ok?"

"That's fine, kitten, I hope everything's ok?" He asked, rubbing her arm.

"Yes it's all fine, just someone in the office who doesn't appreciate having a twenty seven year old boss, so everytime I go somewhere he gets a little power hungry." Rory said with a sigh, "A few calls should fix it, if not I might have to go back to go to court."

"Ok, I'll give you some privacy while I check my own work email." Finn gave her a kiss on the cheek and walked into his own room.

An hour later Finn came out just as Rory was finishing up a call. He was trying not to eavesdrop but it was hard not to hear.

"Well Mr McCrae, you know what it's like when these associates decide they need to prove their importance while the boss is away."

"Ah yes, of course Andrew, you better call me Leigh"

"Haha yes, I do remember what he was like, I'm sure that has been interesting for you."

"Thanks again for your understanding, we must have lunch when I'm back in Boston." Rory signed off with a sigh.

Finn touched her arm and she jumped. "Finn, I didn't see you there, I just need to call my Dad and let him know it's all fixed. When I get back I'm going to have to talk with my staff again about bothering my Dad when I'm gone. He has his own firm to run, nevermind mine."

"Rory was that Andrew McCrae on the phone? Colin's dad?"

"Yes it was, I didn't realize you were there. We cross paths quite a bit, so far I've yet to cross Colin's path except in name only. And again I'm pretty sure he doesn't know I'm the Leigh Hayden he has occasionally fought against."

"I can't wait to see his face when he discovers that Kitten." Finn said, pulling her into his arms to give her a tight hug. He gave her hair a sniff loving the smell of her shampoo and her. Finn placed a light kiss on her hair. "I'll let you call your Dad. Then I think we need to discuss a plan."

"Do you have much business left here Finn, or what would your plan be if I wasn't involved?"

"I'm meant to check up on our hotel in Belfast, and then I'm done here for a while. I'm due back in New York in a week." Finn said. He was watching Rory as she walked around the room making coffee.

"I have to visit my house in Dublin, I had some renovations done after my last visit and I have to check on them before I send the last payment to the contractor. I had hoped to visit Galway just for a few days but I would be willing to switch from Galway to Belfast for a few days if you would like some company?" Rory asked hesitantly. She knew he wanted to try a relationship but she wasn't sure how much he wanted her to be around him.

"I'd like that. How would you feel about me joining you in Dublin for a few days, and then you join me in Belfast and then we fly home to New York together?" Finn queried, while taking the fresh cup of coffee from her.

"If you aren't set on dates for Belfast, can we flip that and go there first so I can give my housekeeper time to prepare the house?"

"That works for me, would you be ready to leave this evening or did you want to go in the morning?"

"If you are trying to catch your hotel staff off guard, would tonight be better? I can be ready to go in an hour?" Rory said, thinking she was already pretty much packed after the trip to Paris.

"Sounds like a plan, Kitten. You organized Paris, I'll organize this. Have you been there before? Or do you want a day playing tourist with me while we are in Northern Ireland? I'll be honest I've never seen much more than the bar scene there."

"I have Finn, but in winter time, there are a few places I wouldn't mind seeing in summer time if the weather stays good like this.

"Then I'll plan a tourist day, there are places I've wanted to see, but didn't feel like traveling to when I was alone."

"Is Dublin the same Finn, have you ever even left Temple Bar?"

"I've actually never been to Dublin, kitten, it's been on my list but never made it, I've no idea why."

"So you plan a tourist day for Northern Ireland and I'll do the same for Dublin."

The morning of their tourist day in Northern Ireland arrived, Rory was waiting on Finn in the living room of their hotel suite. They had been getting closer but they were still taking it slow so far. Finn arrived at their suite, he had a tray of coffee and a bag of pastries in his hand.

"Are you ready to go, Kitten? He said, greeting her with a kiss on her cheek. "We have a car waiting downstairs for us."

"Sure let's go Finn," she said, taking the bag of pastries from his hand and placing her hand in his.

The car took them on a whirlwind tour of Northern Ireland, they visited the Giant's Causeway and took pictures of each other clambering over the rocks, they took a private tour around the Bushmills distillery and purchased several bottles of distillery exclusive vintages. They crossed the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge and took selfies while pretending to swing the bridge on each other. Carrickfergus castle was a stop on the way back, and when they got back to Belfast they hit the Cathedral Quarter and did a small pub crawl having a drink and an appetizer in each bar. By the time they were stumbling back into the hotel they were definitely at the giggly end of tipsy.

"Finn, that was an amazing day," Rory said giggling as they opened the door to their suite and fell inside.

"Only because I was with you Ror," Finn said, pulling her onto his lap on one of the couches in the suite. He lightly brushed her hair behind her ears, her skin was flushed, whether it was from the exertion and sunshine of the day or from her being tipsy, he was unsure but it made her look adorable. "Are you hungry or did all the appetizers fill you up?"

"I'm not hungry Finn, not for food anyway," Rory twisted on his lap so she was straddling him. She looked down at him from her vantage point and kissed his cheek, then she started to slowly drag her lips to his mouth and kiss him. They started off tantalizingly slow and tender, but the passion grew quickly as they each opened up to each other. Finn pulled his mouth away, resting his forehead against hers breathing heavily.

"Rory, as much as I'd love to continue this, and oh believe me I want to continue this. I want it to be special. This has never meant this much to me before and falling into bed a few drinks past tipsy isn't special even if it is after an amazing day."

Rory tightened her arms around his neck, and gave his neck a light kiss. "Frustratingly, I agree with you." She gave him another kiss on his lips, "But can I sleep in your arms tonight at least? I just want to cuddle up to you instead of by myself in that big bed." She said sheepishly, she was still scared he might say no.

"That sounds amazing kitten, I'd love to hold you all night." Finn responded standing up, he gave her a chaste kiss and a slap on the butt as he said "now go get some onesie pjs on, so I'll be able to resist you all night."

Ten minutes later and Rory was snugly ensconced in Finn's arms.

"Night night Finn, thank you for an amazing day," Rory said sleepily with a yawn.

"Goodnight kitten, the day was amazing because it was with you." Finn kissed her hair as his eyes started to drift closed.

Two days later and they were ready for their tourist day around Dublin, because this time they were leaving from Rory's house she was driving. Rory decided to start with the scenic things, she drove them towards Glendalough. While not Finn's normal pace he enjoyed some of the history behind the location, Rory enjoyed telling him all the movie trivia of films that were shot there, Finn took the opportunity to act out scenes and quote lines from Braveheart. They stopped at Powerscourt Estate for lunch. Once they got back into the city Rory drove them back to her house, they quickly freshened up and went back out again. Rory dragged Finn in the direction of the Luas, and they rode it back into the city. Rory pulled him in the direction of Trinity University, and they had a look around the campus. Afterwards they went towards the Jamieson distillery and took a private tour, Rory had wanted to round out their distillery visits with one more. They then walked hand in hand along the quays towards Temple Bar. They had supper in one of the bars while listening to traditional music. They spent the night bar hopping enjoying the music and friendly hospitality. By the end of the day Finn was regretting that he had never before made it to this part of the world.

The next day Rory woke up curled into Finn's side, they hadn't slept alone since the night in Belfast. She sighed contentedly and gave his bare chest a kiss, and snuggled back in. Finn shifted and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"Sorry I thought you were still asleep, I hope I didn't wake you," Rory said, her voice still husky from sleep.

"I was awake, I was wondering how much longer you would sleep." Finn said with amusement in his voice.

"So tomorrow we fly home, go back across the pond and return to reality?" Rory said, the sadness evident in her voice.

"I'm hoping that I'm returning to a better reality because I'm returning with you." Finn kissed her cheek lightly.

"Finn, I hope that you are right and it will be better, but I'll be honest, I'm a little scared that once we are no longer away from all the outside influences, work and friends, you might not want to be around me as much."

"Rory, I've wanted to be close to you for the past eight years, I don't anticipate that changing especially now I actually get to be close to you," he said, kissing her gently, and tipping her chin so he was looking into her eyes. "We will make it work, you need to travel for work, I have access to a plane, I can visit you."

"Finn, I have my own plane, travel isn't usually a problem."

"You have your own plane? I have to share!" Finn said with a pout.

"Aww poor little not so rich boy, I'll let you share mine," Rory said with fake sympathy.

"Hey no mocking your boyfriend!" He started to tickle her.

Her giggles get louder as she squirms under him. "I give, I give!"
