The next day, we all met up and talked at a table to come up with a plan to escape the Klyn. Although it seems as if Rocket already had an idea. "If we're gonna get out of here, we're gonna need to get into that watchtower. And to do that, I'm gonna need a few things. The guards wear security bands to control their ins and outs. I need one." Rocket started.
"Leave it to me." Gamora said.
"That dude, there. I need his prosthetic leg." Rocket said, motioning to a guy who sat at the table away from us.
"His leg?" Peter asked confused. I gave Rocket a skeptical look. I have a feeling that he really doesn't need it.
"Yeah." Rocket confirmed. "God knows I don't need the rest of him. Look at him, he's useless."
"All right." Peter said, giving in.
"And finally, on the wall back there is a black panel. Blinky yellow light. Do you see it?" Rocket asked.
"Yeah." I answered this go around.
"There's a quarnyx battery behind it. Purplish box, green wires. To get into that watchtower, I definitely need it." Rocket said.
"How are we supposed to do that?" I asked.
"Well, supposably these bald-bodies find you attractive. So, maybe you can work out some sort of trade." Rocket suggested and my eyes widened.
"You must be joking." I said with a glare.
"No, I really hear they find you attractive." Rocket replied.
"Well, the answer is no. She's not doing that." Peter said. I looked and saw the jealousy in his eyes. I didn't blame him, I would have had the same look. I belonged to Peter just as much as Peter belonged to me. He put his arm around me and brought me closer to him. "But look, it's 20 feet up in the air, and it's in the middle of the most heavily-guarded part of the prison. It's impossible to get up there without being seen." He continued.
"I got one plan, and that plan requires a frickin' quarnyx battery, so figure it out! Can I get back to it?" Rocket asked and we all remained silent. "Thanks. Now, this is important. Once the battery is removed, everything is gonna slam into emergency mode. Once we have it, we gotta move quickly, so you definitely need to get that last." Rocket explained and then suddenly, the power dimmed and an alarm went off. We looked and saw Groot with the battery with a smile on his face. "Or we could just get it first and improvise."
"I'll get the armband." Gamora said.
"Leg." Peter said as they took off. I just stayed and decided to back Groot and Rocket up. I went into action and took out one of the security guards and I noticed that Drax had jumped into the fray. The security guard I knocked down tried to stand back but I quickly kicked him in the face and he blacked out. I grabbed his gun and began shooting at the other security guards as Drax threw one of the weapons to Rocket and he began shooting at the other guards and robots.
Once everyone had everything, we headed for the Watchtower by climbing Groots body. After destroying a machine that was targeting Peter, Drax goes, "You! Man who has lain with an A'askavariian!"
"It was one time, man." Peter said. I couldn't help but laugh as I climbed up. We soon arrived inside the Watchtower and closed the door.
I watched Rocket until I heard Drax say, "Spare me your foul gaze, woman." I looked at Drax and Gamora.
"Why is this one here?" Gamora asked, annoyed.
"We promised him he could stay by your side until he kills your boss." I answered. "I always keep my promises, when they're to muscle-bound whack-jobs who will kill me if I don't." I finished as Peter handed Rocket the leg.
"Oh I was just kidding about that leg. I just need these two things." Rocket said and Peter looked at him in disbelief. I knew it.
"What?" Peter exclaimed.
"No, I thought it'd be funny. Was it funny? Wait, what did he look like hopping around?" Rocket jokingly asked and I rolled my eyes.
"I had to transfer him 30,000 units!" Peter yelled.
"Seriously?!" I asked in surprise and annoyance. Rocket laughed and I glared at him. If looks could kill, Rocket would be dead. Rocket looked and quieted down.
"How are we going to leave?" Drax asked, changing the subject.
"Well, he's got a plan. Right?" Peter asked. "Or is that another thing you made up?"
"I have a plan! I have a plan!" Rocket exclaimed as he worked on the control panel.
"Cease your yammering and relieve us from this irksome confinement." Drax demanded.
"Yeah, I'll have to agree with the walking thesaurus on that one." Peter agreed and Drax glared at Peter before replying, "Do not ever call me a thesaurus."
"It's just a metaphor." I said with a sigh.
"His people are completely literal, metaphors are gonna go over his head." Rocket explained still working.
"Nothing goes over my head. My reflexes are too fast. I would catch it." Drax said with such seriousness, I couldn't help but laugh at that.
"I'm gonna die surrounded by the biggest idiots in the galaxy." Gamora said and I smiled at her.
"Welcome to my world, Gamora." I said back. Suddenly, some more Security Guards came in with bigger guns and we looked on in shock.
"Those are some big guns." Peter said still in shock. One of the weapons went off and hit one side of the Watchtower and Gamora and I flinched back.
"Rodent, we are ready for your plan." Gamora said. Peter brought me to him, away from the glass windows.
"Hold on!" Rocket yelled. They then shot another blast that hit on Peter and Drax's side of the Watchtower.
Out of the blue, Drax comments, "I recognize this animal. We'd roast them over a flame pit as children. Their flesh was quite delicious."
"Not helping!" Rocket yelled once more. Another blast was shot off and it hit the front of the glass. One more hit and we're toast. Rocket worked faster as they readied another shot and I clung to Peter. Suddenly, Rocket attached a few wires and then everyone outside the Watchtower began floating in the air.
"You turned off the artificial gravity, everywhere but in here." Gamora said impressed. It was impressive.
"I told you I had a plan." Rocket said with a smug smile. Rocket then disconnected the Watchtower from the base and then began using the security droids to attach to the base of it and used the jets to fly us out of the prison and we soon crash landed in another part of the base.
"That was a pretty good plan." Peter said and I agreed. We then headed to where our personal belongings were kept. I found my stuff and made it sure it was all there. Thankfully nobody didn't mess with my knife that Kraglin gave me when we were younger. I would have been pissed if anyone messed with it. "Yeah! There it is. Get our ship. It's the Milano, the orange and blue one over in the corner." Peter showed where our ship was.
Rocket looked at my stuff and said, "They crumpled my pants up into a ball. That's rude! They folded yours." I just laughed and shrugged. I went over to Peter and we saw the Orb was still in his bag.
"The Orb's there. Let's go!" Gamora said and we were about to leave before Peter began panicking. "What?"
"That bastard didn't put it back." Peter said pissed. I knew what Peter was referring to.
"Put what back?!" Gamora asked confused.
"Here." Peter said as he handed Gamora the bag with the Orb in it. "Katty, get them to the ship, I will be right back."
"How are you gonna possibly.." Gamora started but I cut her off by asking, "You sure?"
"Yeah. You know I can't leave it behind." Peter said. I did know. It was his only momento from his mother. I nodded and leaned up and kissed Peter, who kissed me back. "Just keep the Milano close by. Go." Peter explained. I nodded and motioned for the others to head out.
"Be careful Peter or I'm gonna kill you." I said. Peter just smiled at me and winked before heading off. I ushered everyone to my ship. We eventually arrived and I took my seat and got us out of there. I had us stay a good distance away from the prison.
"Well, how's he gonna get to us?" Rocket asked, looking at me. I just stayed quiet and kept my eyes on the prison. "Screw this, then." Rocket said annoyed. "I ain't waiting for some humie with a death wish. You got the Orb, right?"
"Nobody isn't going anywhere! It's my ship, my rules. Besides, Gamora doesn't have the Orb." I said as Gamora looked through the bag.
"She's right." Gamora said.
"If we don't leave now, we will be blown to bits." Rocket said.
"No! We're not leaving without the Orb." Gamora said. I looked and smiled when I saw who was heading this way.
"Behold." Drax said. He must have saw Peter too. I opened the door to let Peter in. "This one shows spirit. He shall make a keen ally in the battle against Ronan. Companion, what were you retrieving?" Drax asked and Peter handed him his Walkman. "You're an imbecile." Drax said afterwards. I laughed.
Peter walked up to me and hugged me. "I didn't keep you waiting too long, did I?"
"Nah. But you might have kept Rocket waiting too long." I said joking. Peter laughed and then kissed me. Peter then set the course in the direction Gamora told us to go since she wouldn't tell us where her buyer was located. While they did this, I went into Peter and I's chamber and changed clothes. I slipped on my purple mid-riff tank-top, black jeans, and brown boots. I then placed my holster on my waist and put on my leather Ravager trenchcoat. I then put my hair up in a ponytail and was ready to go, glad to be in my own clothes.
I walked back out to Peter and Rocket arguing about Rocket taking our ship apart. As they argued, I went to Gamora and said, "We're gonna need your buyer's coordinates."
"We're heading in the right direction, for now." Gamora said as she picked up the Orb.
Peter then walked over and stood beside me and said, "If we're gonna work together, you might want to try trusting us a little bit."
"And how much do you trust me?" Gamora shot back and Peter took the Orb out of her hand.
"We'd trust you a lot more if you told us what this was. Because I'm guessing it's some kind of weapon." Peter said, holding the Orb up. That was my guess too. There's more to this Orb than what we knew, considering everyone in the galaxy is out to get it.
"I don't know what it is." Gamora answered. I didn't believe her for a second. There was something she knew about the Orb that she wasn't telling us. Peter placed the Orb on the table and Drax picked it up.
"If it's a weapon, we should use it against Ronan." Drax said.
"Put it down, you fool! You'll destroy us all." Gamora quickly said. So she did know something. Her and Drax then got into an argument until Peter and I had to intervene.
"Hey! Nobody is killing anybody on our ship!" Peter motioned to him and me.
"We're stuck together until we get the money." I finished this time. Drax threw the Orb to me.
"I have no interest in money." Drax said as he walked off.
"Great. That means more money for the three of us." Peter said until Groot made a noise that he was forgotten again.
"For the four of us." I said, patting Groot on the arm. "Partners."
"We have an agreement, but I would never be partners with the likes of you." Gamora said as she began to head upstairs. "I'll tell the buyer we're on our way. And Quill, Katrina, your ship is filthy." She then went upstairs. Well damn, it's not my fault Peter can be a pig.
"Oh, she has no idea. If I had a black light, the place would look like a Jackson Pollock painting." Peter said and I couldn't help but laugh at that.
"You got issues, Quill." Rocket said while shaking his head.
