When we entered the other room the first thing that caught my eyes was a small table with a box and a bunch of other stuff on it. The two of us walked over to said table in the middle of the room. He made a bunch of weird gestures with his hands, and then yellow symbols surrounded the two of us.
"Now, listen carefully Peter, because this is important; this along with every other spell in the book requires full concentration. If it goes well, then everyone in the entire world will forget that Mysterio ever existed; they will forget that you are Spider-Man. The only people that will remember your true identity are the people that knew before."
"Thank you so much!" I yelled enthusiastically.
"No problem Peter. Now I have to focus. I don't want to mess up this spell."
"Dude, you have no idea how easy this is going to be for me! I should've come to you sooner! This is awesome! No more police interviews! People won't be throwing rocks at my window! People won't be taking pictures of me in the street-"
He interrupted. "Peter, please stop talking!"
"Oh, I'm so sorry sir. It's just that you're doing me a huge favor and I can't thank you enough for that. Now, I-I get to go into that college I really want to go into. So will MJ and Ned. I can finally sleep in my own apartment. The world won't think I'm a murderer. The people who I want to know will still know! Everything will be perfect again; just like last week before Beck made that video, and-"
He snapped at me. "SHUT! UP!"
Then, the spell spiraled out of control. The symbols circled around us at lightning speed, breaking stuff in the meantime. Strange panicked, made those same weird hand gestures and the symbols disappeared.
"D-Did it work?" I asked.
Strange glared at me. "No, it didn't!"
"I got distracted because you can't keep your mouth closed!" He yelled angrily while pointing at me.
"I-I-I-I'm really sorry sir! I am! I was just so happy! I didn't mean to screw up the spell! I-"
I was interrupted by the sound of rumbling. The ground started shaking, cracks formed on the walls and the floor. The two of us looked around, fear overtook us both. "Sir, what's going on?"
"I don't know."
He looked back at me. "We need to get out of here! Now!"
I nodded. We both ran towards the exit of the room; but just as I was about to reach the door, I was stopped. I looked down and my feet were stuck. If I were to describe it. It was like if somebody grabbed both of my ankles and tried dragging me into a pile of liquid, only for said liquid to turn to stone, trapping my ankles and feet into the floor. That's what it looked like at least.
Cracks formed around me in the shape of a perfect circle. I panicked even more.
"Uh- Dr. Strange! I'm stuck!" I yelled out.
He turned around and saw that I'm trapped. "Hang in there, kid!" He immediately ran towards me only to be knocked back by what I think is magic. The lines surrounding me glowed the same shade of yellow as Strange's voodoo magic. He ran to me again only to be stopped AGAIN by an invisible wall created by the glowing circle. He banged on the invisible wall. The ground shook a lot more violently. Strange almost lost his balance. He made more hand gestures.
Then the floor inside the circle shattered like glass, and I fell in.
It felt as if gravity itself had increased by a million; I fell into the yellow abyss much faster than when I fell from up high before. I couldn't move my arm to shoot my webs because I was falling so quickly; even if I could use my arm, there was nothing to shoot at.
The only thing I could hear was Strange's voice echoing through the abyss.
"PEEEEEEETTTTTTTTEEEEEEEER!"
Then, my senses vanish.
All that was left was pure darkness.
To be continued...
