Once they were safely away from Mr. Ganddrix and his men, Luis had started to scan C.G. with one of the tablets.

"I found the chip that is being used to control her, once I scan it, I should be able to undo some of the programming and give her back control from Mr. Ganddrix," said Luis as the scan began.

"And what good does that do us?" asked Emily as she sat in a seat with her knees pulled up to her chest and Squibbon sitting at the foot of the chair.

"We can wake her up for starters," said Luis.

"And then she has to live with the fact that she was created to not find a new home but destroy the future, do you have any clue what kind of strain that will have on her mind?" asked Ethan.

"What should I do then, Ethan?!" asked Luis while tossing what looked like a screwdriver across the ship.

"I can't just leave her like this, and if we're going to stop her dad then we'll need her help, so I have no choice but to wake her up!" he said.

"You're right," said Ethan after a minute of silence.

"But you had better be ready for any breakdown she has," he said.

"I will," said Luis as the scan finished. He then used the data to overwrite the chip and wake C.G.

"What… what happened?" asked C.G. as she started to come around and pushed herself up from the floor.

"We managed to escape from your father and the soldiers," said Emily.

"You mean it wasn't a nightmare?" asked C.G. with a horrified expression.

"I'm afraid so, and now we need to…," said Luis before C.G. stood fully up and ran from the room to her sleeping area.

"I warned you," said Ethan as Luis went to walk by him.

"And I said that I have this," said Luis.
