Chapter 2: The Crash!
"Oh...my...GOODNESS NOOOO!" I yelled and ran to the crash site. And still in a panicked state, I took out my phone and yelled out...
"SIRI... (panting) DIAL RANDOM NUMBER!" At this point, it didn't really matter to me what number was dialed.
'Okay, dialing random number." Siri replied before a dialing tone rang. I was still over a kilometre from the site when a voice followed the dialing tone.
"Hello? What's your emergency?"
"PLANE...(panting) CRASH...(panting) FOREST! (panting) SEND HELP!" I said while running and out of breath.
"Okay, we'll be there!" The voice replied. And I thought it was 911.
I stopped under a tree and catching my breath. After a few seconds of catching my breath, I looked straight and saw the crash site...
I studied the crash site and learned that the plane had impacted the ground and skidded forward a few feet before stopping.
I went to the jet and was smaller than I thought, but was still bigger than me. I inspected the plane and saw the delta wing up close and also saw two pink lift fans on the wings, one on each wing.
I also noted two unusual things; one was the markings. The jet had strange numbered markings on its side. It read, "04."
"Zero-four? How come I've seen this before?" I asked myself.
The other was the cockpit size and flight instruments. The cockpit was unusually small and even I couldn't fit in it, and the cockpit only had a front windscreen and no canopy.
I felt something inside me that felt like something's not right. I saw the seat still in its place, so I thought the plane had stopped very abruptly, since the pilot must've been thrown off the cockpit.
I looked towards the direction the jet was facing and saw some pink streaks under a tree. I shone my headlamp onto it and saw a figure laying unconscious and wearing reflective neon clothing, the color scheme being similar to the jet's.
I went to it and realized it was smaller than I thought, until I saw... a PUP!
"Whoa! A pup?!"
My heart dropped as I recognized who it was...
"The pink jet... the number 04... could it be?! SKYE?!"
"No... Oh no no no no!" I exclaimed, while gently reaching out my hands towards the injured Cockapoo. Skye started to move slowly and moaned quietly, but her eyes were still closed. I slowly took off her helmet and tried to tend to her injuries.
"Don't worry Skye. I won't hurt you. I'm a friend!"
After I said this, I heard two different sirens and multiple engine noises from behind me. I turned around and I was blinded by several lights shining towards me. As my eyes adjusted, I saw a familiar face...
"Ryder?! Were you the one I called?"
"Um... yes you did!" Ryder answered reassuringly. "You said you reported a plane crash?"
"Yeah, and you won't believe who's in it!" I said as I took Skye in my hands and showed her to them.
"Oh no! Skye was in that jet?!" Ryder said in a panicky voice.
"I'm afraid so! Please, you gotta help her!"
"Don't worry, umm..."
"Oh uhh," I said. "My name's Paul."
"Don't worry Paul!" Ryder said. "We'll take it from here!"
"Actually," I said. "I wanna help!"
"Alright Paul, you could help Rocky and Rubble with Skye's jet."
"Will do Ryder sir!" I replied sternly.
