Thank you guys for the reviews. Sorry, it took me so long to get this fanfic going again. Things got rough, so I hadn't been able to work on it much.

A tall man paced a dark room; the shadows from the fading sun made the room feel unwelcoming. His eyes caught sight of a picture of a girl on the wall. The image made his blood boil. He growled in frustration. It had been almost a month since the little brat had gotten away; he paid good money for her, and for what? For the brat to bite the shit out of his smuggler and get away. "AHHHHH," he threw his knife at the picture. It hit the wall with a thud and then fell to the ground. "You're mine, puppy, I'll get you back one way or another, but you're mine and no one else's."

"Master, I brought you your tea." A young girl walked into the room.

"Thank you, puppet," his voice purred. His eyes scanned the girl. Her mushroom brown hair framed her face perfectly, which popped out her amber eyes. At seventeen, the girl was getting too old for his taste, which was why he had bought Lexa. He wanted something younger, something better. "Puppet, you'll be going to auction tonight," he said lazily. He grabbed his tea, then sat down on his couch, ignoring the girl's terrified look. "Get out of my sight!" He threw his cup in the girl's direction, "I'm tired of seeing you, filth!"

The man grabbed his phone out of his pocket, punched in a few numbers then held it up to his ear. After a couple of rings, a gruff voice answered. "Luka, what's the news on the puppy?"

"From what I've gathered, she's been taken to Chicago Med. The security there is minimal there. It won't be hard to get her out of here." Luka replied, "I'll get her back for you, Colby."

"Mess this up again, and I'll kill you." Colby threw his phone down on the couch. "I'm coming for you, puppy."

Connor huddled with the other doctors; he wanted nothing more than to get Lexa home, but no. They'd been standing here for two hours talking to an officer after officer about the shooting.

"I've never been so scared before," a lady's voice rang out.

"I thought I was going to die," another lady said.

"When can we leave?" A man demanded.

"Yeah, I have kids at home. I came in for a checkup and have been stuck here for far too long." A man shouted.

"Everyone just settle down," Hank's voice made the room grow quiet."Now, I know you're all frustrated and tired. However, I need you guys to wait out a bit longer. We'll be reopening the hospital in another hour." Angry shouts, cut him off, "you'll be allowed to leave in another hour."

A man slipped into Lexa's room. An angry uproar could be heard down the hall. "Hello Lexa, I'm a new doctor here. My name is Dr. Botvid. Sorry I haven't been able to come to see you sooner. I've been so busy with my other patients that I couldn't make it up until now." He scanned over the child. She was sitting on the bed; her back rested against the wall.

Lexa glanced up at the stranger as he entered the room. There was something about his voice that was all too familiar. "NO!" Before Lexa could jump out of bed, the man grabbed her and shoved a cloth over her mouth and nose.

"Try bitting me now, bitch." He picked up the child, then slipped back out of the room. The halls were empty and sullen, with the police busy with the investigation. He glanced over his shoulder, then pushed open an emergency exit. It wouldn't take long for the police to come rushing, but it would give him enough time to getaway. The ear-piercing alarm rang out, indicating that the door had been breached. "You're ours now."

Sorry for the cliffhanger.
