CODEXes

Higher Beings:

gods (lower case g):

• The Time Lords, of the old universe, destroyed their reality, in order to ascend into gods, and end their Time War. However, floating around in an empty universe, got boring. So they triggered a new big bang, and constructed a new reality from there.

• These Time Lord Gods are still capable of regeneration. Only now they have infinite bodies, which can turn into any lifeform in their connected dimensions.

Tenza:

• Once every billion years, the gods spawn a few hundred "Tenza", without need of a second parent. Tenza are a race of energy beings, with hair of crystals, and have far weaker reality warping powers then gods. Although they can still destroy star clusters with a thought.

• Tenza are sent out as eggs, to their godly parent's favored planet, to choose their own mortal parents. As, for all a Tenza's infinite lifespan, and their vast power, they are still mortal creatures. So the gods have trouble relating to them, when they are young. Tenza generally need to be around for a thousand years, before they can begin to understand their godly parent.

• Tenza have a natural "perception filter", which distorts everyone's view of reality, just enough to make the world think the baby was naturally born to their mortal parents. And for the child to look like a combination of their mortal parents, by mimicking their DNA.

• Tenza Children do all this instinctively, with no ill intent, and truthfully, no knowledge that is what they have done. They are truly babies, when they choose their parents.

• Tenza have an instinctive need to be "The Perfect Child", but go through a rebellious streak, during puberty. Which usually occurs later then the race they mimic.

• While they can reproduce with any species, once every 3000 years, they lay dozens to hundreds of eggs. With those eggs instinctively drifting off on their own.

Kami:

• Kami are mortals, who have unlocked their "Divine Ki". Usually through achieving supreme power, or wisdom, or determination. They have power that can rival gods, and often call themselves "gods". While they can't die of old age, thanks to their power sustaining their body, they are still mortal, and so can die. It's just harder to kill them, and they can reincarnate themselves, maintaining their memories.

Cosmic Beings:

• In addition to "gods", there are also "Cosmic Entities". Whom were created when the universe started. They come in pairs, and each representing a different "Cosmic Force" of the universe. With lower "Entities", also called "Celestials" or "Angels" serving under them, representing a different "Cosmic Law".

Cosmic Forces:

and the Cosmic Laws that Power them. There are 42 of these Forces, but they won't all come into play. These are just some examples.

• Harmony:

Friendship / Magic, Laughter, Loyalty, Honesty, Generosity, and Kindness.

• Chaos:

Luck / Magic, Choice, Fun, Creation, Destruction, and Change.

• Life:

Restoration / Magic, Parenthood, Childhood, Marriage, Creativity, and Love.

• Nature:

Electromagnetism / Magic, Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Darkness.

• Cosmic:

Mind / Magic, Time, Space, Energy, Matter, and Physics.

• Peace:

Forgiveness / Magic, Justice, Law Enforcement, Change, Free Will, and Fate.

• etc.

The Universe:

• Together these Higher Beings, gathered all the space dust created by the big bang of their universe, and used that to create the Galaxies.

• This Universe consist of a thousand galaxies. With each galaxy stretching a million lightyears across.

• Each alien species has their own Star Cluster, 42 lightyears across. With the Solar systems closer together, then in our universe.

• The Higher Beings then created a massive Sphere, at the center of the Galaxy. Naming it, "The Citadel". To cover up the massive black hole, created by the Big Bang. That way it would never happen again. With The Sphere actually being used as a gateway, back to the gods native universe.

• Next The gods created Massive Dyson Sphere's, and designed the solar systems to orbit around them. Effectively separating them into Star Clusters.

• in between the Solar systems, of every Star Cluster, were a few billion smaller space stations. With Every room containing their own galaxy sized pocket dimension, at the edge of Subspace. With The pocket containing near endless land mass, ocean sized lakes, and rivers. With the only open space being the one million mile high sky.

• Each Solar system is made up of habitable planets and moons. With animals evolving on the planets, as more of an accident.

Calendar:

The gods actually organized the days, of every world, to keep to the same calendar. With the Galactic Standard Calendar, being a universal measurement of time, across the entire universe.

With a "Cycle" lasting 42 Galactic Standard Years.

Which is how long it takes, for each Star Cluster, to orbit the massive Dyson Sphere, at the center of the Galaxy.

It is also how long it takes the Aliens the gods created, to age 1 human year. So its how they measure the passage of time.

Then each Week is 10 Days. With a day lasting 42 Hours. With 5 Weeks in each Month. Maintaining 12 Months, for the planets to orbit their sun. With 600 days in a Galactic Standard Year. (Which is the rate humans and other lower animals age at. Although they have different life expectancies.)

Instead of Summer Break, school children have off October through December. Returning to school after New Years.

Extranet:

There are many magical buoys in between Solar systems, which send out a Wi-Fi broadcast for the Galactic Extranet. Most races don't discover how to access the signal until they discover such a buoy. The Extranet is completely free to access and use.

The Extranet didn't exactly work like the Internet. There was no "Web Browser" rather there was a communal App store which sold Citadel approved Apps. Channel Apps, Station Apps, Chat Apps, Map Apps, Calendar Apps, Fan Art Apps, even Porn Apps of each race and much more. All these Apps are available in the Galactic Standard Language to all species aware of the Greater Galaxies.

Each production studio for shows had their own "Channel App", which uploaded dozens to thousands of shows by that studio.

They are posted by season, not episode. Depending on how well the first season does, is if it gets renewed for additional seasons. Then the show receives a contract for an agreed upon number of seasons, which can be extended but not dropped.

All these shows of every App are free. You just had to sit through a few commercials during the beginning and middle.

Music Apps are called "Stations" but work differently then Channel Apps. The music was organized by genre, but you could search by artist, and listen to them, and similar artists.

These Apps didn't have commercials, as the closest thing to them, on the radio stations, was the song giving it's name, the band, and the Album. All listed on the screen, as the music played.

You could buy the song directly as it played, or follow a link to the album and buy songs from it, individually or the entire album. The point was that once you bought it, you could listen to it whenever, from your own personal music library, even putting it into a custom playlist.

There was also an Audio drama App. Which had the stories seperated by genre, which you could search by series, and even rate like a Channel App, but with no commercials.

However, the App only had one season up at a time, and posted the episodes weekly instead of all at once, but that meant there was a lot more new content.

The current season was always free to listen to, for a cycle. A new episode being posted every week. Whenever you left a comment, on an Episode, you could give it a thumbs up or down, by tapping the appropriate button, and those would be tallied up, to give a rating for each episode, and the season as a whole. Then previous seasons you had to buy, in order to listen to them again, but once you did they were your's forever.

Space Forces:

• The Space Forces are a joint military police force, of all space fairing civilizations. While all governments have their own Territories, and fleets to protect them, laws are universal among the aliens, and forced on other races. The Space Forces act on the authority of a joint council, created by the Higher Beings.

• While the Higher beings created the Council, and can veto it's decisions, the gods rarely use this authority. Giving Sapient lifeforms a doctrine of laws, much like commandments, but not regarded with the same black and white view as "Sins". This Doctrine was meant to prevent wars, not cause them.

• The Space Forces is also responsible for first contact situations, When species develop faster then light travel. This way the "younger" lifeforms are made aware of the larger intergalactic community.

• The Green Lantern Corp works for the Citadel Council, officially operating as the Sheriff of a sector, While managing the Space Forces. With the Lanterns wearing an enchanted ring, made by the gods, that can allow the wearer to do near anything just by willing it.

• There is another branch of Elite police in the Space Forces, known as the "Nova Corp". Whom are not as high ranking as the Green Lanterns, but they are trusted with a powerful helmet. Which generates a suit of armor with several abilities: Wearers can fly across the vacuum of space, shoot energy blast out of their hands, greatly enhance the wearers strength, grants the wearer near invulnerability, and gives a complete Database of all known galaxies.

There are far more Nova Corp then Green Lanterns, it's just expensive so only the best are recruited into their ranks. While the "best of the best" become Green Lanterns. Nova officers are equivalent to "Detectives" in rank.

Most Green Lanterns serve as members of the Nova Corp before they are promoted.

• Then, there are "Champions". These are chosen by the gods, usually after proving themselves by saving their own planet from some kind of catastrophe.

Once their Species gets out into space, their Champions are chosen to protect all worlds. Recognized by both the gods, and the Space Forces, as the ultimate defenders, not bound by traditional laws.

They are allowed to act outside the law, under the direct authority of Higher Beings.

They are known for their unaccountablity, and their power. They do not gain Power Rings or Nova Helmets. They are expected to come by their own resources, as the cost of doing nearly whatever they want. Many Champions have access to technology, and magics, that put them on par with the Nova and Lantern Corps, but they gain it themselves, through years of collecting Weapons, Armor, and magical abilities. They usually have intense training regiments. And have a team of fellow champions.

• Most people, in the Space Forces, act as the beat cops of the Galaxy. They rarely have world shattering weaponry, and operate more through standard equipment. At least, on their person. Their ships are generally superior to any Green Lantern, but they require a crew of roughly a thousand.

Crime / Punishment:

• Most crimes, result in the individual being magically regressed into a child, and re-raised in a "Penny" colony. Which focuses on stern discipline, in a nurturing and loving environment. In the belief a better childhood will help shape better people. The spell prevents the child from aging, and once the spell is removed (usually at the end of a sentence) their body reasserts the age they were sentenced at.

• If the individual is a repeat offender, of violent crimes, they are "permanently" regressed, after 3 convictions. Being forced to growup all over again, from infancy. Without the use of a spell, but rather a "Rejuve Pod", that removes certain genetic markers, that occur while aging.

• If they are convicted another 3 times, and this method isn't working, they aren't regressed again, after the 7th conviction. Rather they are moved to a maximum security prison. Which increase in severity, depending on the crime.

• A triple Max Prison, is a death sentence, for naturally evolved beings. It is actually a way the Aliens got around the "No Death Penalty" laws. By putting the worst of the worst, in prisons they can't hope to survive.

• For those, created by Higher Beings, given death isn't permanent for them, they are "sealed", which essentially locks them away, in a pocket dimension, in an eternal sleep.

Magic:

The universe is filled with a law of Physics different then ours, called "Magic". Magic is heavily ingrained in physics within this universe. Many lifeforms have a 6th sense, which lets them feel and manipulate the universe in interesting ways unique to their species. However, most of them need an Arcane focus of some kind, to tap into these powers: A wand, staff, or magical Crystal.

• Familiars:

Animals can magically bond with their owner. Making them potentially live as long as their owner, and remaining in their prime for that entire time. Magical bonded animals are called "Familiars", and give their owners special powers. Owners can also understand their familiar as if they were speaking the same language. (Pinkie Pie's pet Alligator "Gummy" is a familiar). Familiars even learn to speak and read any language their owner can. Most pets become familiars and anyone can have up to three magical bonds attached to their Chakra.

• Lyrium:

The major source of power (to fuel everything from flashlights, Houses, and even starships) is a mineral manifestation of Magic. Most commonly called Lyrium it also goes by: Dragonite, Element Zero, Unobtanium, Dilithium, Crystals, and Naquadah. It's name changes based on the culture, but it is universally called "Lyrium".

Without it things like Faster Then Light Travel for Starships could not exist. It also works as the power source for enchantments and Runes. It is even turned into a powder and mixed with water to act as the binding agent for magical ingredients in potions. Raw powdered Lyrium, dissolved in water, can be used to restore an individual's magic. However, it can also be extremely addictive and is usually mixed with other ingredients to cancel that effect.

• Different Types of Magic Users:

- Sorcerers. Often glass canons, with a great deal of raw power, but not very durable. However, what defines them is their miniscule spell list. They know few spells, but those spells are trained to the point of being overpowered.

- Wizards. Most notable as Scholars of magic, knowing hundreds if not thousands of spells, but not being particularly practised with them. They are more useful as researchers, and craftsmen, then combatants.

- Mages. An individual with as large a spell list as a wizard, but are proficient, if not masters, of all their spells.

- Warlocks. Uses interdimensional energies to alter reality, instead of their own internal magics. gods and Tenza of Fates, often just called "Fates", HATE these guys, as by calling on forces from outside their dimension, they can alter destinies. However gods and Tenza of Choice, love these guys, and are obsessed with unleashing them.

Galactic Education:

The Schools System starts with "Kindergarten", at 3 cycles old.

There they learn mostly through lectures, demonstrations, and homework. They learn their colors, how to tell time, basic math and science, their native and Galactic alphabet, basic reading and writing for both languages, the Galactic Standard Calendar, and other basic necessities. They continue studying these the traditional way, until they are 6.

When they turn 6 cycles, they start "Primary School". Which is a much more formal education, until they turn 11 cycles.

For space fairing races "Primary School" is spent in a classroom, in front of a computer touch screen built into a desk. The touch screen contains a huge amount of information. Which allows children to learn at their own pace.

Occasionally the teacher will get the class to listen to a lecture, or do hands on work, but mostly the teacher is there to help the students if they get stuck on something. As well as make sure the kids don't goof around. A teacher is required by law to have at least one Doctorate.

Then "Secondary School" begins at 11, and ends when they are 16 cycles old.

This is where species are separated, in order to learn control of their unique racial magics. As well as the details of their own species culture and history. Which they learned the basics of in Primary School.

Some Secondary Schools still teach all species, but focus on spell casting. While Racial magics are still taught, but purely as a single class. Although less important, it is still mandatory. These schools have a larger course load, and tend to have college level students as well. For both college kids that just started learning with a magical focus, and those hoping to advance such education.

College is from 16 to 25 Cycles, and has all races rejoin together, in order to study their desired trades.

Then, once they reach 25 cycles, the former students enter the working world, as apprentices. Until they turn 30. At which point they are legally recognized as adults.

Spanking is a widely accepted form of punishment by the galaxy at large. With anyone, physically younger then 30 Cycles, subject to corporal punishment, by any random adult.

It's common for complete strangers to spank anyone under 30 (bare bottom) before taking them back home where they will be spanked again by their guardian. Anyone, asked to look after a child, has temporary rights over that child, including the right to spank them.

Spankings are even given to minors, even for most legal discretions, instead of jail time.

Spankings are the go to punishment, by childcare professionals.

After they turn 25, they should have several degrees in various fields of study. Usually Bachelors degrees in most areas and a few Masters Degrees in their majors. A few really smart and hard working students would have gained Doctorates during this time. Although it is hard to get even one, it is theoretically possible to get Doctorates in every field of study because of how school works.

After school teenagers go to work as Apprentices, usually Apprenticing until they are 30. While most of these kids work for a company that trains them in their desired trade. Others work under a private mentor, who teaches them the same. While Mentors, themselves, have to be licensed and regulated.

Aliens who reach 16 cycles old, are legally considered adults. However in practice this is not the case. Children start gaining more legal "Privileges" instead of concrete rights. This is to be handled at the discretion of the child's guardian or mentor. This is meant to teach them moderation and responsibility. Once the child turns 30, all these privileges become rights.

- Mentors.

Sometimes, children start studying under a master of a trade, before they finished school.

These Masters hold legal rights over a child, and are often referred to as a "Mentor" or a "Sensei". Parents usually reach out to individuals, with at least a masters degree, and a good deal of experience. That way the Master could teach their child their trade.

However all mentors have to be officially licensed by their government.

Mentors are legally obligated to be paid a livable wage. So only rich kids could afford them. Though sometimes, Parents would pull their resources, and Hire a mentor together. However, as this system could be easily abused, with the children suffering as a result, a Mentor could only take on up to 3 apprentices at a time.

Some governments had programs that were effectively "Big Brother". There, Mentors would be paid by the government, and take on up to 3 underprivileged kids.

Intelligent Species.

Aliens:

• Alien lifeforms, from every franchise in media, are real in this universe. Although they have slightly different cultures, biologies, and technologies, then their canon counterparts. And while are vastly different in appearance, have several biological similarities.

• Aliens were artificially created by the Higher Beings. Who followed strict rules, so most lifeforms could breed with each other, and have similar cultural norms. Even fixed all genetic defects, and biological issues, that would have caused problems with other races. All of which was done in attempt to prevent most wars from happening, in this universe.

• The Aliens understand, the higher beings made them to eliminate their own boredom, but don't resent that. As most gods are actually very compassionate, and try to help their creations, and their descendants. Even casually chatting with them.

Reproduction:

• All Aliens are mono gendered. With terms like "He" and "She" only acknowledging if the individual has breast. While only some species have breast, they all have a penis and testicles. With the anus major purpose is a birth canal, to fertilize and lay eggs. However none of the gods created races, need or even can, excrete waste. (Meaning they don't need to poop, for reasons that will be explained later). With nerve clusters throughout the anus, to make giving birth more pleasurable then painful.

• All Aliens lay eggs. Which spend a month inside their mother, and a year in their egg. With the egg usually being the size of a newborn human.

Shared Abilities:

• While most Aliens have magic powers, unique to their species, there are some universal abilities, made standard by the gods.

Digestion:

Aliens don't actually have lower intestines. Instead their magic fully absorbs everything the body consumes. What can't be used as nutrients is disintegrated by magical pathways, as fuel to power their magic.

• Enhanced Senses:

All their senses are 1000 times more accurate then a humanoid's.

Long Life:

Most Aliens have a life expectancy of 157 cycles. While some can live much longer, or even shorter, lives. That means they live over 6000 years. Which is near 20,000 "Real World" Earth Years.

Humanoids:

• Humans were the first Sapient lifeform to naturally evolve. In fact, due to the similarities between planets, the "Humanoid Animal Kingdom" have evolved on most worlds.

• As a result of their nature, humanoids age by how this universe measures "Years", instead of aging by "Cycles". With their average life expectancy, differing between the species.

• Humanoids have subtle differences in appearance, but, as they were not naturally created by the gods, they have more in common with lower animals, then most Sapient life. Usually having two genders, and the need to excrete waste. As a result, they aren't classified as "Aliens", but still count as "Sapient"... but barely considered so.

• Most Aliens view humans as pest, that can talk. Where many others take on Humanoids as pets. A minority, of alien races, outright use humans for slave labor. Although most don't, given how the majority of gods frown on that.

• All Humanoids, with or without magic, can even be taken on as familiars. Binding themselves to an Alien, and extending their lifespan indefinitely. However, unlike lower animals, a ritual is needed to accomplish this.

• As a result of the gods actually liking humanoids, a good portion of Aliens are willing to do business with naturally evolved beings, even employ them. But this usually only extends to space fairing civilizations.

• Humanoids are the most common Sapients, that Tenza choose to become the child of. Although not the only species, they are their favorite. As Humanoids, of all kinds, are favored by the gods. Supposedly because the gods, in their native universe, were humanoids.

• Due to Tenza, becoming humanoid, and then taking humanoid spouses, some humanoid races have evolved a magical subspecies. With these subspecies, often being persecuted by their fellow Humanoids, while being respected by Aliens.

• Terran Empire:

The Terran Empire, is a union of space fairing, Humanoid lifeforms. One of many such unions, although this particular society is unique, as it only accepts magically capable races.

As they are all magical, they are better tolerated by the other races, which was the intent.

Sapient lifeforms:

• There are a great number of intelligent species, that evolved naturally. However, they are more random, and not as commonly found on other planets.

Monsters:

Unlike Humanoids, monsters did not naturally evolve, rather they are immortal creatures gods created.

When a monster dies, they merely "respawn", a few days later, at the original spot they "spawned" at.

Spawning is how most Monsters are born, although it doesn't require involvement from anything but the Spawning Point. Which are magical stones, that can create a specific type of monster, from nothing.

These Monsters are "Born" fully formed, and with all relevant knowledge, and cultural norms. If the spawning stone is destroyed, all creatures born of it die. However, the stones will reform after a Cycle, with each shard of the stone, growing into a new spawning point. Effectively making the situation worse. With all monsters that died, immediately respawning, and more soon coming.

Monster survive by absorbing magic from a given area. And while Monsters don't need to eat, some choose to. In order to absorb magic from the living. This allows them to leave the enchanted areas the gods created.

• House Elves are an example of more benevolent monsters feeding on magic. As they feed only on the excess magic of a living creature, often choosing to serve their food source, instead of eating them. Believing in "a favor for a favor" as their currency.

Due to their more benevolent culture, gods created several million spawning points, for House Elves, on each homeworld of Sapient lifeforms.

Some races of humanoid took this a step further, by stealing the Stones of house elves, in order to control their spawning.

• Some humanoids, will cheat death, by creating a spawning point, and linking their soul to it. This usually causes them to turn into a Sapient undead. Such as a Lich, Vampire, Banshee, or some such. Depending on the nature of the ritual.

From there, the former humanoid, will be able to link other souls to their spawning point. By repeating the ritual on others.

Linking souls to their Spawning point, also requires the sacrifice of a number of souls, different per ritual. Not just death, but the destruction of souls themselves.

The only undead rituals, that get around the need to destroy souls, are the various Vampiric spawning points. And that's because the ritual is part curse.

As a side effect, the spawn point will also create a good number of mindless undead, but these are usually subservient to the Sapient Undead. Such as: Zombies, Skeletons, Ghouls, Soulless Vampires, of all sizes and shapes.

A lot of the time, a Zombie Apocalypse, is a result of these rituals being done incorrectly.

• While most monsters, find sexual reproduction distasteful, most are capable of reproducing this way. While others can "Turn" mortals into their own race.

Born children, come out as babies, and slowly mature.

While turned individuals are frozen at their current age.

However, these children aren't linked to the Spawn point. And aren't capable of being linked to it, until their magical pathways finish developing.

But even then, a different ritual is needed to link the individual to their Spawning Point. But so long as the naturally born child, has a parent or ancestor with an existing link to that particular Spawning Point, no souls are required to sacrifice. With the only sacrifice needed being some Lyrium Crystals.

Because of this, most monsters go to school in pocket dimensions with an "Underworld". Which is essentially an artificial respawn point. They are designed to resurrect anything that dies in their dimension, regardless of species. However, Underworlds can only be constructed within a Pocket dimension.

Entities and Manifestations:

• Entities manifest, out of Cosmic Forces or Laws. They often act as Servants to Higher Beings, but are not created by them.

• These creatures typically just randomly appear, within their relevant Cosmic Entity domain, fully formed and with complete knowledge of the Universe.

• However, they can still reproduce, with all Sapients (Aliens, humanoids, intelligent monsters, anything).

• They reproduce much like aliens, but instead of laying the egg themselves, they implant the egg in the mother. Where it is born as the Mother's species, but with the Entity's powers. Which will eventually be passed down to all future offspring. This new subspecies are often referred to as "Manifestations"

• Instead of becoming wisp when they die, Entities have souls, which can learn to respawn within a few days of their death. With no need of a Spawn point, and appearing wherever they want. Their Sapient descendants can also learn this trick, but most don't.

• Entities, even the ones that don't directly serve, instinctively fulfill a role in the universe. Such as the Fates, Muses, Dementors, and many others. With their children often being used as tools to help them in this. Where most Entities are benevolent, they often make shit father's, as they don't have a concept of "Raising" their own children.

Interdimensional Beings:

Interdimensional beings are creatures that were created outside this dimension, and so they don't follow any of the above rules.

They are vastly different in how they live and reproduce.

As well as are affected differently by Cosmic Laws or Forces. With limited bending of them. Not to any active degree, but they can passively affect reality. Such as not being bound by the Fates designs, and potentially changing the destinies of people, just by meeting them.

Interdimensional beings, which frequent this universe, are: Daleks, Demons, Asgardians, Frost Giants, and many other immortal races, intrigued by what the gods built
