Isabeau sits on her knees in the middle of an empty room. A circle of salt surrounded her form and the singular lit white candle that she found, in front of her.
Her eyes were closed and she asked for everyone not to disturb her. She needed complete concentration and total silence.
Whispering under her breath, she repeated the names of her coven members over and over again.
As she whispered, the ring of salt erupted into flames. Isabeau wasn't affected by this and continued on with her chanting, even the small flame from the candle was burning hotter and brighter.
She furrowed her brow as she felt something blocking her spell, it was almost like a wall that was keeping her locked away from her coven. Gritting her teeth, she chanted faster and the fire that was burning around her changed from a burning red, to a bright blue.
She could feel her coven trying to reach her, trying to break through that same wall. She could feel the butterfly mark of her coven burning on her skin as she bent over, digging her nails into the floorboards, singeing the wood underneath her palms.
With a gasp, and the flames around her, for just a moment, turned a pure white. Her mark glowed as bright as it's ever glowed and that wall that was hiding her, shattered and her head filled with the concerned voices of her coven members.
The flames dissipated and Isabeau collapsed onto the ground, breathing heavily and her eyes, which were now open, glowed white for a second and then dimmed back to her normal blue eyes.
"God damn it, find us." Isabeau huffed out, suddenly drained from doing the spell. The only thing that made her smile in that moment, was the voices of her girls ringing through her head.
The spell that she did was only meant to amplify her location, but whatever she did, whatever all of them did for that matter, made their bond much stronger than it originally was.
"This is…" Bobby trails off, him and Dean walking out of the burnt down Roadhouse.
"What the hell did Ash know?" The both of them walked back to the impala, "We've got no way of knowing where Ellen is. Or if she's even alive. We've got no clue what Ash was gonna tell us. Now, how the hell are we gonna find Sam and Isabeau?"
"We'll find them." Bobby reassured him.
Suddenly, Dean clutches his head in pain.
"Dean?" Bobby says, worried for him and confused.
Dean groans and doubles over, seeing an image of the Cold Oak bell very quickly.
Bobby stared at him, "What was that?"
Dean shook his head, the pain subsiding, leaning against the impala, "I don't know. A headache?"
"You get headaches like that a lot?"
"No. Must be the stress." Dean chuckles and then grunts, holding his head again, "I could have sworn I saw something."
Bobby didn't understand, "What do you mean? Like a vision? Like what Sam gets?"
"What? No!"
"I'm just saying." Bobby says defensively.
"Come on, I'm not some psychic."
Suddenly, the vision comes back and Dean falls against the car in pain as Bobby calls out his name. He sees another image, this time of Sam and Isabeau.
Bobby circles around the car to Dean, and places a hand on him, "Dean? Dean! Are you with me?"
Dean took a moment before answering, "Yeah, I think so. I saw Sam and Beau. I saw them, Bobby."
"It was a vision."
Dean slowly pulled himself together and pulled himself up, "Yeah. I don't know how, but yeah. Whew. That was about as fun as getting kicked in the jewels."
"What else did you see?" Bobby asked.
"Uh… there was a bell."
"What kind of bell?"
Dean stuttered, "Like a big bell with some kind of engraving on it, I don't know."
"Engraving?"
"Yeah."
"Was it a tree? Like, an oak tree?" Bobby questioned.
"Yeah, exactly." Dean confirmed.
Bobby nodded, determined no more than ever, "I know where Sam and Izzy are."
Night had fallen, and Jake, Sam and Isabeau are in a barn. Jake and Sam are trying to break some of the iron bars off one of the machines, while Isabeau scronges around for any other weapons.
Jake, however, grabs one of the bars and rips it off with his bare hands. Sam stares at him, stunned.
Jake shakes his head, looking back and forth between Sam and the iron bar, "I'm not Superman or anything. It's no big deal."
"You were in Afghanistan when this started?" Sam asked.
Jake nodded, "Yeah, I started getting headaches. And then there was this accident. This guy flipped his vehicle on a bad road. He got pinned underneath. I lifted it off him like it was nothing. Everybody said it was a fluke adrenaline thing."
"But then you did it again, right?"
"Bench-pressed 800 pounds, stone-cold calm. I never told anybody, of course. It was just too crazy." Jake expressed.
"Yeah, well. Crazy's relative." Sam scoffed.
Jake chuckled, "I'm starting to get that."
"Yeah."
Before going back at it, Jake spoke up again, "By the way, I appreciate what you're doing here."
Sam looked at him confused, "What am I doing?"
"Keeping calm. Keeping them calm. Especially considering how freaked to hell you really are. I've been in some deep crap before myself. I know the look." Jake says.
After a long pause, Sam responds, "You wanna know the truth? I got this brother, right? And he's always telling me how he's gonna watch out for me, how everything's gonna be okay. You know, kind of like I've been telling them."
Isabeau pauses what she's doing to listen to the conversation. She smiled a little at how much her boys took different traits from each other and learned.
"Yeah?"
"I don't know if I believe it this time." Sam admitted, "I mean, the size of what's coming – it's bigger than anyone has ever seen. I mean, it's gonna get bad. And I don't know if—"
"If we're gonna make it?" Jake finishes, "It doesn't matter if we believe it. Only matters that they do."
Isabeau comes over and grasps at one of the iron bars. Jake notices, "Let me get that." He offers kindly.
Isabeau stops herself from pulling the bar and gives Jake a look before pulling off the iron bar effortlessly just like Jake did a few minutes ago, "Thanks but, I got it."
She gives him a kind smile and then walks up to Sam, giving him a peck on the lips before heading back towards her small pile of weapons and picking them up.
Jake and Sam watch as she leaves and Jake lets out a chuckle, "Seems like I'm not the only one with super strength."
Sam smiles, "Yeah, with Isabeau not being human, her abilities add an extra punch to her strength."
Jake thinks for a moment, "Yeah… what exactly can she do? I know she said she was a hybrid. A witch and a elemental? What ever that means."
"Well, as a witch she can do spells, obviously, but she has other abilities like telekinesis and psychosemtry. Being an elemental, she can control fire and lightning; bend the elementals to her will." Sam explains.
Jake's eyebrows raise, "That's powerful."
Sam nods, "Tell me about it." It was that power he was afraid that the demon was after. He didn't want to lose Isabeau, and neither of them knew why the demon wanted her. And that scared him.
Sam, Isabeau and Ava are in one of the houses, lining the doors and windows with salt.
"My horoscope said I shouldn't have gotten out of bed." Ava scoffs, "How you two doing? Holding up?"
Sam nods, "I'm okay."
Isabeau shrugs, fiddling with her rosary after she set her bag of salt down, "Good as one can be. You?"
Ava forces a smile, "Not so okay. Why us? What did we do to deserve this?"
Isabeau raises her arms in defense. She didn't really have a part in being chosen by a demon. But whatever the demon wanted from her can't be any good.
Sam shrugs, "Just lucky, I guess."
"If it wasn't for bad luck, we'd have no luck at all. I just can't wait for this all to be over so I can just pretend it never happened. I just wanna curl up with Brady and watch bad TV." Ava notices Sam shift uncomfortably.
"What is it? Sam… do you know something that I don't?" Ava asks. She sees even Isabeau swinging her rosary faster and biting her lip. "Isabeau?" She questioned the female, hoping to get an answer.
Sam sighs, "Look, Ava… I'm sorry. I wish I didn't have to tell you this."
"Tell me what?"
"When the demon broke into your house to take you…your fiancée didn't make it. I'm sorry."
"No, that's…no!" Isabeau comes over to comfort the poor girl and Ava immediately goes into Isabeau's arms, sobbing into her shoulder.
Sam and Isabeau share a look, eyes sad. Isabeau sighs, gently patting Ava's head. None of this was okay in any sense of the word.
Later that night, the entire group is sitting in one room, silent. Isabeau is sitting next to Sam, both of them struggling to stay awake, closing their eyes every so often. Suddenly, in the corner of the room, Sam sees the yellow-eyed demon.
"Jake! Behind you!" Sam shouts but Jake doesn't hear him.
With a smug smile, the yellow-eyed demon greets Sam, "Howdy, Sam."
Sam places a hand on Isabeau's shoulder, "Beau… Beau!" Isabeau doesn't answer, her head leaning against the wall, fast asleep.
Sam stares as the yellow-eyed demon steps forward, "I'm dreaming."
"What do you say you and I take a little walk?" He asks, smiling as if nothing was wrong.
Sam glances at Isabeau and the yellow-eyed demon chuckles, "Don't worry about Isabeau. She's off in dreamland. Tired little thing. Besides, I'm not taking her… yet."
The yellow-eyed demon leads Sam outside, "You're awfully quiet, Sam. You're not mad at me, are you?"
Sam clenches his jaw, "I'm gonna tear you to shreds, I swear to—"
The yellow-eyed demon chuckles, "When you wake up, tiger, you give it your best shot. Isabeau would stand a better chance than you ever would."
Sam was fuming, "Where's my brother?"
"Quit worrying about Dean. I'd worry more about yourself." The yellow-eyed demon growled out.
"Why? You gonna kill me?" Sam stops and spreads his arms open, daring him to kill him.
The yellow-eyed demon turns to him and points, "I'm trying to help you. That's why we're talking. You're the one I'm rooting for." He continues walking.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Welcome to the Miss America pageant. Why do you think you're here? This is a competition. Only one of you crazy kids is gonna make it out of here alive." The yellow-eyed demon reveals.
"I thought we were supposed to be—"
"Soldiers in a coming war?" The yellow-eyed demon interrupts, "That's true. You are. But here's the thing: I don't need soldiers. I need soldier. I just need the one."
"Why? Why do you need-"
The yellow-eyed demon interrupts, "Well, I couldn't just come out and say that, could I, Sam? I had to let everyone think they had a fighting chance. But what I need ... is a leader by Isabeau's side."
"To lead who?" Sam questions.
"Oh, I've already got my army. Or, I will soon, anyway." The yellow-eyed demon smiled deviously.
"You son of a bitch." Sam growled.
"Honestly, I'm surprised you hadn't guessed. I mean, why do you think so many children flamed out already? Max Miller and Andy's brother, what's-his-name? They weren't strong enough. I'm looking for the best and brightest of your generation."
"My generation?"
"Well, there's other generations, but let's just worry about yours." He pointed at Sam, "That's why I'm here, Sam. I wanna give you the inside track. You're tough. You're smart. You're well-trained, thanks to your daddy. Sam – Sammy – you're my favorite."
"You ruined my life. You killed everyone I love."
"The cost of doing business, I'm afraid. I mean, sweet little Jessica – she just had to die." The yellow-eyed demon sighed, "And Isabeau, couldn't really kill her anyways, too important, and besides, the two of you would've gotten together anyways down the road. Getting married, having two little kids, not to mention Dean's children with her, and a happy little place where no-one bothered any of you. It's fate."
The yellow-eyed demon continued, "But either way, I needed you sharp, on the road, honing your skills, your gifts."
Sam tilted his head at the 'fate' part of his speech but pushed it aside for the time being, "What about my mom?"
"That was bad luck."
"Bad luck?"
"She walked in on us. Wrong place, wrong time." The yellow-eyed demon simply said.
"What does that mean?"
"It wasn't about her. It was about you. It's always been about you." The demon confesses.
Sam swallows, "What?"
With a long pause, the demon watches Sam, "Well…okay. You caught me in a charitable mood. I'll show you."
The demon snaps his fingers, and he and Sam are suddenly in Sam's nursery, back on the night Mary died. "Look familiar? It should." The demon says.
Sam watches his six-month-old self crying in his crib, while the yellow-eyed demon from the past stands over him all those years ago.
Sam takes a step forward, hoping to stop the past version of the yellow-eyed demon. The demon stops him, placing a hand on his shoulder, "Relax, Sam, this is just a hi-def instant replay. Enjoy the show."
Mary Winchester enters the room, looking tired, "John?"
"Mom." Sam whispers, invisible to his mother.
"Is he hungry?" Mary asks.
The past demon places a finger to his lips, "Shh."
Tired, Mary leaves, "Okay."
"Wait, Mom. Mom!" Sam calls out.
"What did I just tell you, Sam? She can't hear you. This isn't real." The demon reminds him.
They watch as the past demon slices his own wrist with his nail. He drips some of the blood onto baby Sam's mouth.
"What the hell are you doing to me?" Sam looks on in disgust.
"Better than mother's milk." The demon says wistfully, watching his past work fondly.
Sam curls his lip in disgust, "Does this mean I have demon blood in me?"
The yellow-eyed demon chuckles at Sam's misfortune, not answering.
"Answer me!" Sam shouts.
Mary suddenly rushes back into the room. The past yellow-eyed demon turns to her, revealing his colored eyes.
"It's you." Mary whispers out in disbelief.
"She knew you." Sam notices.
Mary begins to walk closer, but the past demon forces her against the wall. They watch as she slowly moves up the wall, until she is pinned to the ceiling.
Sam shouts, "No!"
Mary continues to slide upward and Sam shouts cries of 'no', watching this unfold in front of him.
"I don't think you wanna see the rest of this." With a snap of the yellow-eyed demon's fingers, he and the demon are back in the middle of the town, the yellow-eyed-demon smirking.
Sam glares at the demon, "What about Isabeau?"
The demon chuckles, "Ah, Isabeau. Such a special little creature. She has a much bigger role to play in all of this. Someone in hell is waiting for his little princess. And I need her very much alive."
"Like when you killed her?" Sam recalls the events from last year when Isabeau died and came back.
The demon grins, "That was a test. A test that passed with flying colors. You see, Isabeau can't die because if she does." He snaps his fingers, "The world, the universe, you name it, everything will soon cease to exist."
Sam furrows his brow at the demon, "Why?"
The demon chuckles, "Now that's a question for her mother, Yvette, to answer." He pauses, "But, Isabeau will help lead this army with whoever makes it out alive. And if it's you Sammy, you and your love will happily be side by side forever."
He snaps his fingers again and Sam jolts awake in the abandoned South Dakota house; Isabeau is no longer beside him.
"Sam, wake up! Ava's missing." Jake says, standing over Sam.
Jake and Sam go outside with their weapons, meeting up with Isabeau as she runs up to them, "Hey, couldn't find her around the outskirts." She says to Jake, taking note of Sam's state.
Jake nods, "I'll take the barn and the hotel. You go with Sam and take the houses."
Sam nods, "All right. Meet back here in ten minutes, okay?"
"Okay." Jake agrees.
Sam and Isabeau begin their walk to the houses as Ava peeks her head out from around the corner, but neither of them see her.
Isabeau takes Sam's hand, "Hey, you okay?"
Sam glances down at Isabeau and sighs, "The yellow-eyed demon talked to me in my dream."
Isabeau's eyes widened, "You're kidding. What did he say, he didn't hurt you did he?"
Sam shook his head, "No, I'm fine… He… he said only one of us was gonna make it out alive to lead an army."
Isabeau furrowed her brow, "Then why-"
"With you. He has plans for you and whoever lives to lead the army." Sam finishes causing Isabeau to stop in her tracks.
Isabeau and Sam stared at each other before Isabeau scoffed, "Like hell only one of you is coming out of this alive and fuck leading an army. Fuck that completely. We're all getting out of here and no armies will be led."
Meanwhile, Andy has stayed back at the abandoned building. When he turns, Ava is standing in the room with him and she drags her finger along the salt on the windowsill, breaking the line.
When Andy turns away from the door, he notices Ava, "Ava, where'd you go? Didn't you hear us yelling?"
Ava turns to look at him, "Yeah, I heard you."
She stares at him a moment, then puts her hands to her head in concentration. A cloud of black demon smoke appears outside the window. Andy watches the demon smoke and since the salt line has been broken, it is able to enter the room through the window.
"What are you doing?" Andy asks in fear.
Right in front of his very eyes, the smoke suddenly materializes into the demonic little girl. Andy stares in shock, "Holy…"
The demon girl knocks Andy down and wastes no time in killing him. He screams in pain, as his blood splatters everywhere until he is completely dead. Ava watches his corpse for a second, amused, and then begins screaming.
Outside Sam and Isabeau hear Ava's screaming and hurries inside. They stop in their tracks once they see Andy's body. Isabeau gasps and covers her mouth, feeling a little sick.
Ava points at Andy's dead body, crying, "Isabeau! Sam! I just found him like this!"
"What happened?" Sam asks, trying to not let his wave of sickness get to him.
Ava shakes her head, tears streaming down her face, "I don't know!"
Isabeau and Sam step over Andy's body, looking for any areas that weren't covered. "How'd that thing get in? Where were you?"
"I just went to get some water from the well. I was only gone maybe, like, two minutes!" Ava exclaimed.
Isabeau shakes her head from behind Ava, "You shouldn't have gone outside. Ava, we have to stay in here-" She notices the salt on the window and points at it, "Who did that?"
Sam notices it as well and exchanges a look with Isabeau before looking at Ava.
Ava turns and looks at the broken salt line, "I don't know, maybe Andy-"
Sam disagrees, "Andy wouldn't do that. Ava, that line wasn't broken when I left. Ava."
Ava was distraught by the sudden accusation, "What? You don't think that I-"
Isabeau crosses her arms, glaring at Ava, "I'll tell you what I think: five months. You're the only one with all that time you can't account for. And that headache you got? Right when the demon got Lily."
Ava looks at her, feigning betrayal, "What are you trying to say?"
Isabeau narrows her eyes even more, "What happened to you?"
"Nothing!" Ava exclaims.
Both Isabeau and Sam stare her down until a minute later, she drops the act, sighing and laughs a little, "Had you going though, didn't I?" She wipes her eyes, "Yeah. I've been here a long time. And not alone, either. People just keep showing up. Children, like us. Batches of three or four at a time."
"You killed them? All of them?" Sam questions.
"I'm the undefeated heavyweight champ." Ava says proudly, smiling.
"Oh, my God." Sam says in disgust as Isabeau slowly makes her way next to him.
"Don't think God has much to do with this, Sam."
Isabeau scoffs, "How could you?"
Ava shakes her head in mock innocence, "I had no choice. It's me or them. After a while, it was easy. It was even kind of fun. I just stopped fighting it."
Sam grabs a hold of Isabeau's hand, "Fighting what?"
"Who we are, Sam. If you'd just quit your hand-wringing and open yourself up, you have no idea what you can do. The learning curve is so fast, it's crazy, the switches that just flip in your brain." Ava laughs, "I can't believe I started out just having dreams. Do you know what I can do now?"
"Control demons."
Ava nods, "Ah, you are quick on the draw." She puts her hands to her head, "Yeah, I'm sorry, Sam. But, it's over. And Isabeau, me and you are the only ones making it out of here."
The cloud of black smoke returns to the window and just as it is about to enter, Jake comes from behind Ava and twists her neck, killing her instantly. The demonic smoke leaves the window and disappears.
Outside, near the edge of the woods, Bobby and Dean pull up in the Impala, fallen trees blocking their path. They step out of the impala looking at the path that was purposefully blocked.
"Well, it looks like the rest of the way's on foot." Bobby says as he and Dean walk to the back and open the trunk.
Once they open the trunk, they grab their choice of guns, "Let's go." Dean says.
He slams the trunk shut and once he does, he jumps when two people suddenly appear out of thin air, "Seriously?"
Bobby sighs, "Hi Carmen, Olivia."
Carmen nods at Booby in greeting. Carmen has shoulder length, blonde curly hair and forest green eyes, wearing a black spaghetti strap crop top with ripped dark gray jeans, beaten up red converse and a leather jacket.
Olivia smiled a little, "Sorry we were a little late." Olivia had long, straight ginger colored hair with pale green eyes and freckles covering her entire face and every inch of her skin. She wore an oversized black jean jacket with embroidery designs on top of a black sleeveless turtleneck shirt with a pair of dark shorts and knee high combat boots.
Dean tilted his head, "How did you know we would be here?"
Carmen pulls a knife out of her back pocket, ready to find her coven mate, "Isabeau and the entire coven were able to break through whatever was hiding her and strengthened the bond between all of us. We were able to contact her. Everyone thought Olivia and I would be the best ones to go."
Olivia nods, "So let's go save Sam and Isa."
Isabeau,Sam and Jake leave and head outside. "I think we can make it out of here now." Sam says hoping that all of this was over.
"But the Acheri demon…" Jake brings up.
"No, no, no. Ava was summoning it, controlling it. It shouldn't come back now that she's dead. We gotta go." Sam reassures, walking just a step behind Isabeau, who's eyes were glowing violet. She could feel her coven members and they were close.
Jake shakes his head and stops, "Not "we", Sam."
Both Sam and Isabeau stop, turning to Jake.
"Only one of us is getting out of here with Isabeau. I-I'm sorry." Jake apologizes.
"What?" Sam asks, confused. Isabeau tilts her head, her fingers twitching at Jake's words.
"I had a vision. That Yellow-Eyed Demon or whatever it was, he talked to me. He told me how it was." Jake explained.
Sam shakes his head, trying to change his mind, "No, Jake, listen. You can't listen to him."
"S-Sam, he's not letting us go. Only one. Now, if we don't play along, he'll kill us both. Now, I-I like you, man. I do. But do the math here. What good's it do for both of us to die? Now, I can get out of here. I get close to the demon, I can kill the bastard." Jake says as if it was the most logical thing to do.
"You come with us, we can kill him together." Isabeau wasn't going to let anything happen to Sam. Her eyes shift from violet to a fiery orange, "And there is no way in hell I'm leaving here without him."
Jake glances at Isabeau before looking at Sam, "How do I know you won't turn on me?"
"I won't." Sam promises.
"I don't know that."
"Okay, look." Sam takes out his knife, shows it to Jake, and places it on the ground, "Just come with me, Jake. Don't do this. Don't play into what it wants."
Isabeau's eyes still glow orange, she had a bad feeling about this whole exchange.
After a pause, Jake places his weapon on the ground as well.
Sam sighs in relief, "Okay."
Suddenly, Jake punches him with his super-strength and Sam goes flying across the field and crashes onto the ground.
"Sam!" Isabeau exclaims, seeing that Sam isn't able to get up, the wind knocked out of him. With a growl, she whips her head towards Jake, her eyes now glowing a fiery blue, "You mothfucker!"
Jake growls as he tries to keep up with Isabeau's fists, blocking them as fast as he could without hurting her or getting himself hurt, "Isabeau stop this! The demon wants you alive! I have to kill Sam!"
"You're going to have to kill me first!" Isabeau roars, kicking Jake in the gut, pushing him back a few feet.
Isabeau growls, her eyes glowing brighter, "No one touches Sam!" She kicks him again.
"No one threatens him!" Another kick that causes Jake to grunt in pain. She was much stronger than Jake thought.
"And no way am I going to be used by some demon!" She shouts, kicking him again, but this time Jake caught her leg, twisting it, and sending her to the ground with a sickening crack in her leg.
Isabeau gasps in pain as Jake lets go of her leg, letting it drop to the dirt ground. Isabeau couldn't move it; he broke her leg with just a twist of his hands.
Jake looks down at her regrettably, "Sorry Isabeau." He grabs the front of her shirt and turns her around, grabbing a hold of her head, his arm pressing down on her throat, blocking any oxygen.
She tries to pull him away, the glow in her eyes dimming and struggling to breathe. With a twist, Jake breaks her neck, Isabeau's arms going limp and her eyes closing as he pushes her now dead body aside.
Sam screams out as he watches Isabeau's dead body fall to the ground. He felt as though a part of himself had been ripped away from him. Now an empty hole inside of him.
The second Isabeau's body hit the ground, in a burst of a wave, the grass surrounding her dies instantly, turning gray and shivling up, almost turning to dust. The wave continued beyond her body and stopped once the trees that surrounded them started to crack, becoming brittle, losing their limbs and some even crumbling to dust.
Jake doesn't acknowledge what happened and approaches Sam, leaving Isabeau's body, kicking down the fence and leaning over Sam.
As Jake suddenly makes a fast approach to kick Sam, Sam kicks out himself; the two exchange blows with Sam on the ground, and then he leverages himself up.
Each land multiple blows; one blow hits Sam's right arm and shoulder with a bone-crunching sound, knocking him down again. He gets up quickly although clearly in pain.
Jake approaches and swings at Sam, but he ducks out of the way and Jake's punch goes through a wooden railing, temporarily holding him.
Sam knees him several times, then kicks him down. As Jake lies there, winded, Sam picks up the iron bar that Jake was using and knocks him out.
He approaches the unconscious Jake, consideringly, and lifts the bar as if to strike. He hesitates a moment, then tosses the bar to the ground.
Sam's eyes find Isabeau's body and his body starts to shake as he limps his way over to her. Tears falling down his face and sobs wanting to spill from his mouth, "No." He croaks out as he gets closer.
He grunts in pain as he picks up her limp body, gritting his teeth as he lifts her up with his injured arm.
Just as he picks up Isabeau's body, he hears from a distance Dean calling his name. He also hears Bobby and two of Isabeau's coven members that he knew, Carmen and Olivia, calling for Isabeau.
"Sam! Isabeau!" Dean shouts.
Sam hears his brother, and turns toward him, gritting his teeth, and nearly staggering with exhaustion. He sees Dean, Bobby, Carmen and Olivia approaching, with flashlights, towards him.
With the rain suddenly pouring down and thunder rumbling in the sky, Sam called out to his brother, his voice cracking, broken, "Dean."
Dean's smile falls as he sees Isabeau's body in Sam's arms. Her neck was deep purple and wasn't breathing. And by Sam's tears that were mixing with the rain, he felt his heart tear in two. "No." Dean croaks.
His throat was tight and he could feel the tears welling up. They lost Isabeau again.
Carmen and Olivia stared at Isabeau's body. This couldn't be happening. "Isa." Carmen whispers out, hoping, just hoping this was a dream, that one of the people she loved was dead.
Olivia shakes her head, a hand covering her mouth, holding back the sobs that wanted to be set free, "No."
Bobby felt like time was frozen. The only person he could ever call his daughter in some form was dead, again.
Jake suddenly wakes up and he grabs the knife that Sam had placed on the ground.
"Sam, look out!" Dean shouts, he and everyone else, picking up their pace.
But, it was too late. Jake stabs the knife right through Sam's back and the entire group takes off running for them.
"Noooo!"
Jake twists the knife, creating a massive wound, before running away. Sam gasps and falls to his knees, still holding Isabeau in his arms. While Bobby, Carmen and Olivia chases after Jake, Dean slides to the ground in front of Sam and Isabeau.
He grabs at Sam's clothing, trying to keep him conscious. They both lost their love, and Dean couldn't lose his brother, "No, Sam!"
Sam falls forward onto Dean's shoulder.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, Sam. Sam! Hey! Hey, hey. Come here. Let me look at you." Dean places his hand on the wound in Sam's back, covering his entire palm in blood.
"Hey, look at me. It's not even that bad. It's not even that bad, all right? Sammy? Sam!" Dean is holding Sam, looking at him, with Sam's head wobbling, "Hey, listen to me. We're gonna patch you up, okay? You'll be good as new. Huh? I'm gonna take care of you. I'm gonna take you care of you. I've got you. That's my job, right? Watch out for my pain-in-the-ass little brother?"
Dean grits his teeth, "Come on! You need to stay! We're gonna find a way to save Isabeau. We did it before and we'll do it again. Come on, Sammy, please." Dean's voice drops down, "We want to marry her, remember? Put a ring on her finger. Get a house one day? Maybe have a couple kids, huh?"
Dean touches his brother's face, "Sam? Sam! Sam! Sammy!"
Sam's eyes slide shut and his entire body slumps forward, his arms giving out, dropping Isabeau.
Dean grabs Isabeau the best he could, her skin feeling cold to the touch, "No. No, no, no, no, no, no. Oh, God. Oh, God."
With tears streaming down his face, Dean rocks Sam and Isabeau in his arms as Sam dies, "SAM!"
Dean chokes up and brokenly whispers, "Isabeau…"
