The bright glow of a candle filled the darkness of the nursery.

Abuela Alma Madrigal was inside the family nursery, holding the magical candle as she told the story of how their family was given a miracle to her three grandchildren; Pepa, Julieta, and Bruno.

"Long ago, your Abuelo Pedro and I lived in a small village with our three daughters. When my youngest had only just been born, we were forced to leave our home..."

Tonight was an exciting night for the Madrigal Family.

Today was the triplets' fifth birthday, which meant that tonight would be the night they would each receive their gifts, as did each Madrigal that came before them.

Right now, Alma was seated on a chair in the middle of the room, while her grandchildren were seated side-by-side together on a single bed. Each one dressed in their pure white ceremonial outfit.

Pepa was seated on the left side of the group, wearing a short-sleeved dress, her curly red hair tied in a neat braid against her back. Julieta sat in the middle of her siblings, wearing a similar long-sleeved dress, a single white ribbon bow resting on top of her dark brown curls. Finally, Bruno sat on the right side of his sisters, dressed in a long-sleeve shirt with matching pants, and a poncho, his dark curly hair brushed neatly on his head.

Each one of them was admiring the bright candle in front of them.

"This candle became a magical flame that could never go out, and it blessed us with a refuge in which to live. A place of wonder ... an Encanto," Alma said, "The miracle grew, and our house, our Casita itself, came alive to shelter us."

"In our new home, my daughters had been blessed with a gift," Alma turned her gaze away from the candle to smile at her grandchildren, "and now that you all shall receive a gift as well,"

Pepa gasped with a happy smile, and Julieta smiled brightly as the bright glow of the candle reflected in her eyes, meanwhile Bruno fiddled with the ends of his poncho, an excited yet nervous grin on his face.

"I know you all will make our family proud,"

Everyone in Encanto had gathered into the home of the Madrigals' to witness a new miracle.

Right now, Pepa, Julieta, and Bruno were all standing in front of three glowing doors. Bright shimmers of golden lights swirled across the wooden frame, waiting to reveal the triplets' gifts.

The rest of the Madrigal family were gathered downstairs, while Alma stood beside the triplets, holding the magical candle in her hands.

As the flame to the candle began glowing brighter, Alma nodded down at the awaiting children.

Pepa was the first to step up.

After glancing back at her siblings one last time, the little girl reached out towards her new door. Everyone watching in anticipating silence.

The moment her small hand grasped the doorknob, the lights of the door began shining brighter. After a few seconds, the lights faded away to reveal a new image on the face of the door.

It displayed Pepa with a rainbow stretching above her head, along with a shining son amidst clouds. The girls' name was printed in cursive writing on top of the door.

A wave of gasps and whispers rose from the crowd below as Pepas new door slowly began to open, rays of sunlight streamed out from the doorway.

As Pepa's smile became brighter, a small puff of cloud formed directly above her head. Giggling, Pepa twirled underneath her cloud, small droplets of rain began to fall as she continued dancing happily.

The crowd cheered as Pepa continued to dance, Alma even released the breath she had been holding with relief.

Bruno and Julieta glanced at each other before racing to their doors with excitement.

Julieta was first to her door, and she quickly grabbed the doorknob.

The lights on the door revealed Julieta with plates of food in her hands. Plants and magical sparks swirled around her image. The crowd cheered louder as her door slowly opened, a blue hue light appearing from within her room.

Pepa raced behind her sister and twirled her around in a hug. Julieta laughed as she returned her sister's hug.

"What's your gift, Bruno?" Julieta asked as she and Pepas' little dance came to an end.

But her brother didn't answer her.

Pepas' cloud evaporated with confusion as she and her sister turned towards their brother.

Silence suddenly filled the large house as everyone turned towards Brunos' door, the creaky hinges echoed across the quiet air.

The silhouette of a large hourglass could be seen within the entrance of the doorway, as the sound of falling sand echoed from inside. Meanwhile, Bruno was standing motionless in front of his room with his eyes closed, unphased by the small piles of sand gathering near his feet.

"Brunito?" Julieta slowly approached her brother, reaching out towards him with concern.

However, the second she grabbed his shoulder, Brunos' eyes shot open, glowing neon green like a cat, and staring straight ahead.

Julieta gasped in shock and stepped back in fear. Pepa looked afraid as well, grabbing her sister's shoulder and carefully pulling her back.

Gasps and fearful whispers arose from the crowd.

With everyone staring at Bruno, no one noticed that the flame of the candle had, for just a single moment, dimmed. Except for Alma, of course, terrified by what she was witnessing.

Meanwhile, Bruno remained unphased by what was happening around him, he continued staring deep into his room, confused by what was happening to him.

His eyes became brighter as a series of visions played in front of him. Visions that no one else could see.
